This place has the WORST customer service ever!!! I walked in to place an order which came to $9.95. They would not let me use a credit card because it was under $10.00 (really)!! I ended up ording fried dumplings to have the order over their price limit on credit card orders. The total came to $15.74. They have coupons on their menus that if you order over $15.00 you receive a free egg roll. I asked for the free egg roll and he angrily told me that it is under $15.00 before tax. Holy Shit! The topper was when the order came out I asked for crunchy noodles which are normally included and he made me pay for them and then what happened was crazy. I waited an hour and half for my fifty dollar meal, that I couldn't eat because they put pork in everything. Not only do I hate pork, but I've been a vegetarian for 24 years. When we called to complain, no white rice with our vegetables, no sauces, no fortune cookies, forgot the 2 vegetable rolls, forgot the noodles, and oh THERE IS PORK IN OUR VEGERTABLES, they just said "yeah yeah - remind us next time." I was a loyal customer for years, but it seems as though they may have changed ownership or something because I have not been happy the last 3 times I ordered here. This last time (which is the LAST time I will order from here) I got bad sushi. Anyone who has ever had a Philadelphia Roll knows that the Salmon should be orange, like Lox. It's local and convenient to order through yelp or Grubhub. I wasn't the biggest fan when I first tried it but thought I'd give it another go tonight. The food isn't terrible, nothing great. Biggest downfall is that it took 1hr and 20 minutes to get it delivered. Plenty of other places to go that are quick and delicious. Look past this one folks. read more

Straight up solid Chinese takeout! Haven't had Chinese takeout since February & the kid was craving in the worse way. We tend to go more higher end(Golden Dynasty, Hunan Taste) but do to GD being closed & HT an hour+ round trip our choices were limited. After reviewing the menus and reviews of the surrounding SS pots, A1 was my choice & i couldnt have been happier! We had steamed chicken dumplings. They were flavorful with a nice chew and the dipping sauce was killer! For entrees we had Chicken with Broccoli & Steamed Chicken & mixed Vegetables. Both were fantastic! Steamed chicken wasnt overcooked and they got the alterations correct! The Chicken & Broccoli was great too! The sauce had a different taste than other places but i really enjoyed it! I think it was Chinese 5 spice or cloves. I highly suggest and our family will def be ordering from here in the future read more

I ran in one late night after work for a quick takeout order. The store front is rather large, but was pretty empty. There was also an icky musty smell inside. I don't think I would have been able to dine in given the musty odor. Ordered a scallion pancake (huge serving, but overly fried. It was a extra crispy), and a veggie lo mein. I personally have a huge problem with restaurants adding unnecessary filler to their lo mein - I'm talking about lettuce. Please stop doing this! It's not good. Had the worst experience at this restaurant for delivery. Man on phone took down wrong ex date on my debit card and put it through 7 times!!! Bank locked my card for fraud and then when i called the restaurant back, they hung up on me. Order finally got here after an hour and a half only to be missing an item. I called back and told him they had forgotten an item and that i expected it be delivered and he told me he is very busy and to never order there again and proceeded to hang up on me again. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Ordered delivery here for the first time. We had received some menus and thought why not? So we ordered some Chinese and sushi. When we started unpacking the food it got a little weird. We had ordered fried "meat" dumplings, which should have been a red flag in itself being as the meat used is not specified, but we tried them. They were, and I kid you not, empanadas. So large in size and the taste itself was very off putting. The sushi we had ordered was somewhat okay, but the Philadelphia roll was not. The salmon was brown and just didn't taste right. As we got to our actual meal, it was nothing but disappointment. My boyfriend had ordered the beef and snap peas. The snap peas had ZERO snap, and the meal itself mainly consisted of mushrooms and water chestnuts. His fathers meal had white rice included, which was over cooked and mushy. I had ordered the boneless spare ribs combo with roast pork lo mein. As soon as I opened the container it smelt off. But I pushed on and tried. The ribs were okay, a lot of fat but still okay. The lo mein though, smelt and tasted like dead fish. I have digestive issues, so this scared me a bit. I had my boyfriend taste it to make sure I wasn't wrong, and boy oh boy was I not wrong. The meal itself was nothing but bland, and disgusting. The egg rolls were even soggy and flavorless. As soon as we finished eating I became sick. Will NEVER be ordering from this place again. The food was excellent very fresh and delicious .... Me and my girlfriend stopped in there yesterday and couldn't believe how fresh and light the food was.... This is my favorite sushi place in the area, and they have really nice hours of operation. During peak hours it does take a bit before you get your food, however, this is because the food is so good that the place gets so much business. The owners are very nice, and it was nice to talk to the sushi chef there and find out he has over 10 years experience exclusive towards sushi-culinary arts. The ambience of the restaurant envelops a sense of Eastern culture, and the occasional decorative flair the chefs add to meals when you eat-in makes the dining experience feel individualized and sincere. 3* is a tad generous. Just moved to the area & am looking for my goto Chinese food delivery place. This aint it. Most of it was ok. But, the sesame chicken was fatty dark meat..should be white meat. Even Mickey Ds figured that out with their nuggets, take their lead. So, overall their food was ok in a pinch but anyone who rates this food as GREAT has never had gourmet Chinese food & need to check Zagats and give some a try. I was a fan of Hong Kong Taste way back at their old location, where the lighting was dim and the tables were sticky. They've since moved into a well-lit, liberally windowed, and spotless locale next to Thatcher's in Pompton Lakes. Hong Kong Taste is the pinnacle of cheap Chinese food: hot, greasy, and delicious. When I've had a bad day, I come here to make it better. The staff is genial and attentive, and they've accommodated every ridiculous last-minute change I've thrown at them. I place my orders online, and they're always accurate and prompt. My only complaint is the parking, which I would recommend doing off to the side. read more

I will admit that the food is good but I give this place 1 star and it's really disappointing due to a couple of issues: 1. My husband and I ordered a $45 meal and waited 2hrs! I called multiple times to follow up on the status and the lady kept saying it's on it's way. When it finally arrived My husband asked the driver what happened and all he said was, "I'm sorry I don't speak English." 2.
