Ordered takeout and wow were we disappointed. I will NEVER order anything fried from here again. Egg rolls were dripping oil as we were eating them. We had not ordered takeout from Spring Restaurant in many years. We decided to give it a try and it was amazing. We had the House Special Lo Mein, Beef w.Straw Mushroom & Baby Corn, Baby Shrimp w.Cashew Nuts, and Roast Pork Egg Roll. The Lo Mein was excellent-- the nood were firm, the variety of ingredients and the flavor of the sauce were very goo. The beef in the Beef w.Straw Mushrooms was tender and very plentiful. While chestnut mushrooms were substituted for the straw mushroom, they were firm and very flavourful. The Baby Shrimp w cashews were delicious, although the order contained bell peppers, which was not mentioned on the menu, and was a little too sharp for the dish. The Roast Pork Egg Rolls were crisp, well-filled and not at all greasy or oily. Our family rated the meal a 9.8 out of 10. We will DEFINITELY be ordering from Spring Restaurant again, and soon! read more

Happened to be in the area and was craving some classic Chinese takeout. I usually frequent other purely vegetarian Chinese restaurants, but saw that Spring Restaurant had a vegetarian menu with mock meat options, so I had to come and check it out. I arrived and parking was extremely convenient, went in, and it was just a nice cozy vibe in there. Family owned restaurant, extremely lively daughter working the counter, with an equally kind and wonderful father cooking the most delicious vegetarian general tso's chicken that i've ever had. I asked just for a simple cut of hot chili oil, and was given what is apparently a homemade fermented chili oil, which was unlike any chili oil I'd eaten before. The mock meat noodles were also delicious, would highly recommend both dishes! I'm sure the regular meat would be great too as the sauce was the star of the show! The customer service was impeccable, the family was welcoming and kind, and most importantly, the food was to die for! Highly recommend for anyone in the area, you won't regret it! read more

I try Spring every few months and it keeps getting worse. The phone was answered after 7 or 8 rings with a "yeah". Simple order beef with broccoli, chicken with peanuts, veggie fried rice. Wife got raw chicken with broccoli, my chicken had no peanuts but large chunks of green pepper, fried rice was anything but fried. I dislike giving bad reviews but if you're in the mood for Chinese, try someplace else. read more

I have gone here maybe 6 or 7 times since I moved to Ringwood about 4-5 months ago. It is my go to for Chinese food in the area and the food is always hot and tasty. Good quality, and the service is excellent. I am actually going here tonight for dinner and was thinking about why I haven't reviewed this place yet. Best bites for me here are the pad thai (chicken), boneless spareribs are excellent, and the four season dish is quite good. Just overall a consistent and great establishment that I'm glad I have at my disposal. read more

In this (these) year(s) since COVID, we have seen closures of small businesses, bars, and restaurants, and HUGE spikes in prices for everyday food (chicken, milk, etc.) Somehow, this place has been able to maintain the same quality (if not better), while not hugely increasing their prices. Granted, while some eating establishments have "opened back up their doors", I almost applaud Spring for not doing so. 1 - IMHO - the fat lady hasn't sung yet! This is a virus and will keep on mutating until we figure it out like influenza. 2- why risk it? Personally, after living in Asia for so many years, anyone with a common cold had the decency to wear a mask - why is it such a big deal here? Again, IMHO, them not opening up seating, is only protecting all of us and helping to keep their prices reasonable! Great food and great price for the amount. You have to try one of their Combos - you select the main, comes with fried rice, egg roll. Couldn't finish (and I'm a big eater). read more

I was not impressed with this place. I ordered my food and they did not even give me what I ordered. I came home and saw that what I paid for, wasn't in my bag. Never I ever checked my food from a Chinese place before. Now I will start. My food tastes old and wasn't even hot. Even simple wonton soup was cold. I don't recommend going to this place. Try the Chinese place across the street. Much fresher and ITS HOT! I guess something was wrong with the place when they did not even have a lighten up sign above their business to show where this place. I decided because the last dish was ok that I'd let them cook my favorite Chinese Food dish which happens to be on their menu: Baby Shrimp and Cashew nuts. It was nearly $10 for the dish but I decided to splurge. Well, it turned out that the "Baby" shrimp were full size and they only gave about 8 of those..and about 10 cashew nuts. The rest? I have been living in Ringwood for 14 yrs and never be disappointed with them. Always clean and fresh food, good taste, big menu selection with reasonable price. Try the general tao chicken it's always yummy and those noodles are great. The Chinese couple who work there are very honest and friendly. Highly recommended. read more

I have tried this restaurant a couple times; I keep trying to like it because it is local. However the food is always sub standard. It never tastes right and I'm just not trying anymore. This restaurant is usually pretty empty, which is the first sign something is not right, especially on a Friday night. Maybe they do more take out? Ayooooooo Spring is the greatest restaurant of all time its delicious and fast serving, and the people are nice, its also a community, plus a cool extra is you can hear angry Chinese people yelling at each other in the kitchen. But the best part is Jimmy Li best worker of all time. read more

Pretty good Chinese though there is no shortage in the area. The wonton soup was a bit bland in the broth but the wontons were nicely flavored though a little light on the meat. Decent place for lunch with good prices and a friendly staff. Ordered the sesame chicken lunch special and got a nice sized portion for only $5. Its your typical chinese food place, nothing special but they do have a lot of competition around. Subway, a pizza shop, dunkin donuts and mcdonalds are all close by. read more

I will never order from this place again. Until very recently, they never accepted credit card. Cash only business and God only knows IF they pay taxes. Then they never get the order right. We decided to order from Chen's on 511; a bit better food and the convenient of paying with credit cards. Then recently, we noticed an asian bistro place that used to be abt few doors down from Spring. They moved to the CVS shopping center side. Their food is much better than Spring and they have better selection too. Good bye, Spring. Now they're trying to catch up to that asian bistro by taking credit cards and widening their menu selection. Watch out for the wolves in sheep clothing.... Still the same awful food. read more

Best Chinese food in the area. Average prices, My favorite is the Chow mei fun. It's like a thin lo mein.

Spring has a problem with consistency. Sometimes the food is outstanding other times not so much. Tonight I ordered the Hot and Spicy Shrimp which was about six shrimp and about a quart of sautéed onions, not very spicy and not very good. read more
