Eggroll ,chicken on a stick, half order of crab Rangoon not in the picture , vegetable fried rice ,chicken lo mein and dragon phoenix

Service was good well mannered and polite. I arrived two minutes after I was told to. Food was waiting at the counter for me ready to go. The crab Rangoon was delicious. Can't tell ya if it's frozen or fresh. Probably frozen but good.Chicken on a stick "good". Veggie fried rice good. Chicken lo mein good. Dragon and phoenix good. I think the eggrolls could've been a little bit crisper. They were a little soft.

Must be a pretty interesting show considering our 'waitress' hasn't been back since dropping off the sushi and we've been done a while.

Can't judge a book by it's cover and cant judge decent sushi by other people's reviews or the appearance of the roll. We got 3 specialty rolls, the crazy roll, ocean roll, and dynamite roll. They were all well presented but the nori was terribly tough and chewy. Also the spicy tuna was kind of a mushy paste and very 'fishy' tasting. I was going to give this place 2 stars because the flavor combination was nice but the customer service, or lack thereof, Clinched the single . Our 'waitress' was watching tv the entire time after dropping off the sushi, never coming back to ask how it was, if we wanted anything else, or to give the check. The sushi chef was on his phone the whole time we were there except to take a break to make the rolls, and someone else was sitting at a table on their computer. We were the only customers. Someone from the kitchen finally came and gave us a check well after we had finished eating, yelled something incomprehensible at the people sitting around, who didn't even flinch, and then she never came back to get the check. We eventually took it up ourselves and no one said a word when we left. Not a goodnight, thanks for coming in, or even a nod. We've encountered bad service before but this takes the cake. Also had the worst tasting fortune cookies I've ever had.

I couldn't help but take a bite of this beautiful food before I posted a picture. It had a very fresh flavor. What a gem!

This is my first time here as I am visiting family in the area. Apparently this is a new location for them as two people commented that they didn't know they moved while I sat her and ate my lunch. The steamed dumplings were good and the shrimp lo mein was delicious. They made it extra spicy at my request. It was pretty and left me with tingling lips, an empty playe, and a full belly. The young lady that was my extremely pleasant as well and the owners are present and also a delight.

Tasty food ( ^ . ^ )

Had high expectations but visit did not measure up. Three flight stair climb in a very narrow…read morestaircase lead to the front door. Entered and thought I was in China Town in Chicago or in China Town in San Francisco. Very quaint, very nicely decorated. Travelled quite a distance so decided to go all out. Started with a selection of appetizers ... eggs rolls, bbq pork, crab Rangoon and deep fried shrimp. Nothing stood out as special. Egg rolls were large but little flavor, pork was slices of pork loin in bbq sauce, other two items average at best. For entrees we ordered Pepper Steak, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and the special House Fried Rice. Portions were modest in size and lacked flavor. There didn't appear to be any garlic or ginger in the dishes but there was plenty of soy sauce. We expected a more flavorful meal. Service was friendly and modestly attentive. We ended the meal with almond cookies which were quite good. We were pleased to experience the 2nd oldest Chinese food restaurant in Wisconsin. Food 3, Service 4, Ambience 5: Average 4. Would not return.

We arrived early on a Friday night and climbed the very steep steps to this 2nd floor place above an Irish bar. The place is dark and moody. We got seated in one of their great banquettes. The service was very quick - actually the woman serving us was practically running the whole time. I ordered a mai tai which was reasonably priced but a bit weak. We tried their fried egg rolls - they were OK but too greasy. Their version of General Tso's was good with lots of vegetables including mini corn on the cobs. My wife's noodle dish was also very good. The servings were big and the prices appropriate. Overall it was worth the trip to Janesville.
