When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly gentleman welcoming us to the restaurant who stated that he appreciated our choosing the restaurant and giving them an opportunity. Quite a surprise. We had fresh spring rolls and shrimp appetizers. Excellent. Two orders of drunken noodles. They allowed for a substitution of thin rice noodles on one of the orders. Beef was excellent. Chicken good as well. Another very friendly woman gave us some history. Restaurant open for only a year. Ambience reflects new design. Very family friendly. We were in the area and, after our first visit, we had to visit a few more times. So good. Service is great - the servers are friendly & the chefs know what they're doing! Beef pho - good broth taste, good portion of noodles Spring rolls - so fresh & clean (I had it for a light lunch) Pad Kapow - my favorite! First & foremost, I appreciate the religious undertone in the decor & packaging (ie. John 3:16 verse on bubble tea sticker). But if you are not religious, it's not in your face. Wait staff was pleasant. Our drinks were super tasty, although took a while to make. Had me worried about our food. My sister and I stopped by here to pick up some food. We were hoping to eat inside the dining area but they close it 30 minutes before closing, so only takeout orders are available then. I can't give an accurate review of the food because it was a takeout and I feel that takes away from the overall experience, but the food we took home were pretty decent. I got some rice dish with beef and a side of tum Lao. I ordered it to be medium spicy but I got a bit of the pepper and I died for about 10 minutes. We visited for the first time. It's located in a strip mall. The inside was inviting - clean spacious, a mix of tables and booths, fake foliage hanging from the ceiling. Clean bathrooms. The server, Amanda, was super nice and knowledgeable of the menu items. 5 stars for Amanda! The menu had mostly Thai food but also had Vietnamese Pho as well as Chinese and Japanese influenced entrees. We ordered the Drunken Noodles with beef, Chicken Pad Kra Phow, egg rolls, and a Passion Fruit slushy with boba. All the food was flavorful and plentiful. Warning: we ordered Medium spicy and it was pretty hot! Kudos to the chef! The only thing I didn't like was that many menu items were not available. Like I said we would come back and try other dishes. Not sure if they were short staffed, because different experience from our first time. The server had no clue what she was doing. Asked us multiple times what boba flavor we wanted, after forgetting to make it. We had our entrees and still no drinks. We watched our food sit on the counter for 15 minutes as she struggled with the computer/register. Then proceeded to bring us our entrees one by one. The cook came and saw and helped her by using a tray to bring the rest out. They either need more help or the server needed more training. The place was packed on a Wednesday and to have just 1 server that clearly didn't know what she was doing, not good! Not sure if we would be back. Food deserves 5 stars, especially their noodle dishes. I've tried the pad thai and drunken noodles on separate occasions and they were both amazing. Best in town yet. Their service is also excellent. Fried rice was great but still doesn't hold a candle to the version sold by the previous Laotian resto in this location. (And I only mention this in case they know each other and can share recipes ) Their milk tea leaves much to be desired, esp the quality of their boba. I hope they can improve on this. read more

My husband and I recently ate at Sticky Rice Bites in Rockford, IL. The servers were friendly and very helpful. When I said it was our first visit, our server took the time to go over the menu, pointing out patron favorites as well as her own. We were not disappointed in the food. Phone did not eat first this time The fried chicken and lao sausage were fried to a crisp perfection. The sausage paired beautifully with the spicy dipping sauce. Great balance of tart and salty. The chicken pad thai had a great balance of flavor. I wish lime was offered to squeeze on top, but other than that I still recommend the dish. It is probably the best pad Thai I've had in the area. The server was kind and suggested Thai tea as a drink as well. Great drink choice, if you've never had it. My first experience here exceeded my expectations. The interior is beautifully decorated, restrooms are clean, and the staff are attentive and friendly. The food was so good, the service was great. Everyone was so friendly, serving every plate with a smile. I have experienced the past businesses that took place in the same building and none have been as great as this one. As a lao girl who was just craving some spicy lao sausage with sticky rice and some yummy sauce, I totally recommend! I also go a lychee slush with lychee jelly and it was amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly and the place has very pretty decor! The server was running a tad late when i got there, but the lady who greeted me would repeatedly apologize. As soon as she came, my order was taken and 15 minutes later my food was out! I got the papaya salad and asked for it hot, and the sausage. The papaya salad is delicious and was very spicy however it's such an addicting flavor i kept going for it. The egg rolls and Pho we had tasted good, but... i was dissappointed that the Beef Pho House Special (a surprising $18 for what is already a huge margin menu item that costs a dollar to prepare) had only a couple tiny bits of meat and lots of pieces of mostly fat and gristle that i had to spit out. I suggest they either add enough meat to make a meal, cut the price in half, or just take Pho off their menu.
