This place has recently become our local favorite. A few years ago we weren't too impressed, but tried it again a couple months back and we were impressed! The crab Rangoon is stuffed FULL, and the chicken teriyaki sticks are Huge! We also love the convenience of ordering online and then getting a text when it's ready. It never takes more than 15 minutes to get our order. Oh! And for added convenience, they have a drive thru pick up window! Love it! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would have. This was the WORST Chinese food I have ever had. The chicken was raw, pink, and slimy. The rice was hard and over cooked. The smell was terrible when I opened it. I will never be going there again. Yesterday we picked up food from the South Beloit location. We waited at the pick up window and the kid inside asked us to park in back of the building to wait for our food. We thought this odd as no one behind us. Behind the building is a dumpster of used cooking oil, and the open door to the restaurant with a screen door that was not secure and a giant gap in the screen. It just seemed off and creepy. We got our food and went home to eat, it definitely was not as good as previous orders and I got sick to my stomach after eating. Won't be going back! read more

I must say that I don't know what has happened to the quality of food. Maybe new cook?? I specifically asked that my fried rice have some chicken (visible) as the last few times I have ordered it, there seems to some kind of shortage of chicken so they put in lots of big onions to make it look good. Same thing tonight, so when you have an issue with their food don't expect that they will address it properly. Onions are not comparable to chicken. Also I have always got a big styrofoam dinner box but tonight they found me the smallest white rice box they could find. Oh but I was charged the dinner price - WTH. I can't give a minus so I give it no stars at all and find a new place to get my Chinese food from. It is sad because I used to really like this place. I actually would give this restaurant 0 stars except the food is good. My complaint is the service! The employees that work there (and with a manager is on the premises) talk to each other about personal things, laugh, and virtually ignore the customers! I have just returned from picking up my food but it took forever! Apparently they had given our food to someone else. A mistake I feel was made because they were goofing around. They remade it for us but when we opened it at home it was half full. Their explanation was they ran out of small containers so put ours in a large container. I have ordered from them in the past and no way was this a family size order! I don't care what they say as I have always ordered the same size, the same food (black pepper chicken) and paid the same amount. I know exactly the amount of food I usually get and this does not even come close to what I have received in the past! We have had so many mistakes with our order it's been ridiculous! Of course we are definitely not going back and I recommend to spend your $23.00 on something else, not on a meal that barely feeds one. read more

Consistently fast, fast service - dine in, carry out, or delivery. Incredibly, I've never had wrong food orders!! Extensive menu. The Hunan Chicken is spicy as advertised, but yummy. The Crab Rangoon is the one of the best appetizers. Sweet and Sour Pork is a winner. Shrimp and Snow Peas were excellent! The food tasted like it was old not fresh at all. Mongolian beef was just yesterday's leftovers warmed up. The egg rolls were terrible old and chewy and tasteless and they didn't even include the sweet and sour sauce. Steamed dumplings were old. The food is just not fresh. I love this Happy Wok. I am a regular and I have never had a wrong order or any issues at all. Even though the staff changes often, they are always very polite and friendly! I absolutely love the teriyaki sticks and the teriyaki chicken meal. Also the spring rolls and the crab rangoon will make you come back for more. Can I give no stars? The delivery was late and food was cold. I didn't get my crab rangoon that I ordered. I also paid for rice with veggies and just got plain rice. I called to see if I could get my side dish and they laughed and told me they wouldn't deliver it even when I offered to pay for it. I have been to this Happy Wok many times and order the same thing every time. I get the Happy Family and it's always been good. It's not the best Chinese food you've ever had but it's pretty good. It's definitely the best in the area. The downside is the interior of the restaurant isn't the cleanest or most up to date, but most people get takeout anyway. read more

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Take out order (Wonton soups) wontons were undercooked. Called about the order & was offered a 20% discount next time, or we would need to PROVE it was under cooked by bringing it back. I was shocked to say the least & was told that is what the manager said. When we arrived I asked to speak to the manager. A young lady finally arrived at the window. I asked why we needed to be inconvenienced to drive all the way back for $18.00 worth of soup. Her reply was, "because people lie all the time." This business WAS a place we ordered from several times monthly. I asked that she taste the food so that she KNEW I wasn't a liar. She refused & admitted that she wasn't management. I asked then why am I speaking with you? She stated, "Nobody (out of the 4 or 5 people in view at the counter) wanted to deal with it." I am unhappy that people who support this business through the Covid crisis as well as many times prior would be treated in such a manner. I again needed to ask for my remade order, she handed me my order & naturally I asked if this was cooked completely? She said yes. I asked how do you know? & her bright & shiny response was, "because they made it" to which I added..YEAH they made the last one too which had to be returned.. I asked when the manager would be available & asked for her name for the reference conversation. The young lady refused to give me her name stating she didn't feel safe doing so. The customer service & store policy in regards to unsatisfactory food will only put your morals into question by being accused of lying & theft!
