I haven't been to this buffet in a very long time. My dad invited me to lunch here. I was a little skeptical because I know a lot of buffets changed after the pandemic. The selection is huge. I really enjoyed their clam chowder. And they're stuffed clams and spicy fried head-on shrimp. They have a wide variety of seafood, sushi rolls, noodles and appetizers and more. They also have fried chicken, mashed potatoes and even a Mongolian barbecue station. Lots of dessert options as well. Service was okay. But the lady that greeted us when we walked in Was very lovely. I was surprised with all the crabs and the roe inside... great selection of food and drinks. This place would be a solid 4 star for two reasons... if staff let up with cleaning the food service areas... and second, if people were so comfortable bringing their poor personal hygienic habits to a public eateries. I was happy to eat food that was newly brought out as I knew that it really hadn't been touched. But while waiting for some food items I'd watch as people would go around and serve themselves. Granted we came on Mother's Day weekend which may have been why there was so much going on. Here are a few examples of poor hygiene rants: 1. People getting sauce in their finger tips while holding serving spoons, putting their finger in their mouth to lick up the sauce and then grab another spoon with their licked finger to serve themselves 2. I watched someone spill some food in between two trays of food the use their finger to push it back in. I mean this concern could either be a staff cleaning the area or people being considerate and carefully putting food in.. or better yet just leave the food alone and don't use your fingers to place food into a tray that others are still trying to eat from. 3. People eat like it's the end of the world. Nothing wrong with getting seconds and getting a lot, but if the food is falling off your plate and onto the ground or back on to the food tray areas maybe get another plate? 4. The crab was okay, but when I've eaten crab at other buffets, there's less "brown" stuff on the crab's outer shell and legs before being consumed while still being filled with roe on the inside. Once I saw these things being done, I was happy to be a bit more picky and wait for trays that were newly brought. All in all, can't fault people completely for being comfortable in a place that serve good food, a wide variety of options for low priced buffet. If you're not concerned about some of the things mentioned earlier, I'd say this place your be 4-5 stars. The venue is large and spacious, there's a huge parking lot outside, and the staff are hard working and making sure they keep the place fairly clean, getting people in and out, replacing low tray items, and bussing the tables consistently. This place can get very busy with a line out the door (we came for Mother's Day and it was super busy) and I wonder if it's like this on other days/weekends.. Our group of 4 was seated quickly and the dining area was large and VERY full of people. The buffet offered a large selection of sushi, traditional Chinese (walnut shrimp, orange chicken, beef broccoli) and unique seafood items. The food was continuously brought out and refreshed. My favorite was a tasty little crab and other shellfish like clams and mussels. The seafood soup was also very good. The location of it in that strip mall will really throw you off. But, Won't hurt to go in and judge the inside, not the outside. B) You seat yourself down. After I paid I stood there for a minute for someone to seat me. Until The front gal told me just pick any table and sit. Okay?? That's weird to me. I had a very unpleasant experience. I believe the seafood was the culprit. After consuming just two pieces of cold, stale fried calamari, I felt an urge to vomit. Although I managed to control it, I would strongly advise against ordering the seafood here. Potential Issues with the Seafood The calamari was not fresh. It was not cooked properly. The service was fine, and the plates and tables were clean. The interior is nice, with clean tables, although one chair had a minor hole. The imitation crab was rubbery, but the ribs were thin and pretty good. The pudding was good, and the cups were clean, even with some water remaining. If you don't like seafood, this place is a good option, as they offer a good variety of carbs like chow mein, garlic bread, and some breaded dishes. It was modest, plenty of foods to choose from, they kept filling up the serving stations. Plenty of tables. You have barely enough space to move around. Its real tough to rate Asian buffets or even buffets in general. We all know that buffets are great to pig out and get a variety of food for a fixed price. Most places have mediocre selections or basic essentials of what majority of popularity is. We all know that the quality isn't high end or else we would be paying Vegas buffet prices. (but is their quality high end?) I can't say that Asia buffet is good nor bad. It gets the job done. The other night I took my mother out for some errands. Her and my dad used to go frequently but since he isn't around any more she doesn't have any one to go with. That night we passed by and ended up dining on the spur of the moment. We were greeted upon entry and seated right away. It was about 5:30pm and the place was full of people! Its been many years since I've gone back here and their layout and even entrance has changed. I can't compare the food selection from past to current but the typical items you would expect to see were there plus more. My mother who doesn't eat much these days had three rounds of food so I know she enjoyed it. As the time passed more people started to come in. Business seemed good which is great for the food to rotate and fresh reloads were coming in. (I think that is very important) Overall my mother and I had a great time. The only things I can point out was the service for picking up plates and my request for a water refill was very poor. They have a sign that tells you to wear gloves while serving yourself food, but there were no gloves to be found. The sushi rice needs rice vinegar mixed in. Awesome buffet. It's hard to find ayce buffets these days but this place is alive and kicking. Pay when you arrive. There's guys walking around collecting plates constantly so you can go refill as often as you like without having a crowded table. Kids loved the chocolate pudding. I would rather pay $22 for one good plate of food than for a dozen plates of all you can eat tasteless food. Absolutely no flavor not sure how people can eat so much of this. Actually, I seen a lot of full plates being left on tables while people went back to buffet tables to find something else they can try. When you go here just know you will be sharing with many, many other people. Some of these people do not wash their hands, but they provide sanitizer. The food here is very mediocre. Not much of a selection. The fried rice and lo mein taste nothing like what they do if you had them from a regular Chinese food place. Some of the food here taste fake, and some of the dishes taste exactly the same. There are no labels on the windows to describe what the dishes are so you're guessing. Not worth it.
