This place was small but had a lot seating available! The food was under heat lamps which makes the quality questionable due to not knowing how long the food has been seating there. I had fried rice, beef broccoli, sliced sweet pork, and teriyaki chicken. The total cane out to just under 18 dollars. The food was okay. The meat quality for the beef and broccoli was tuff and almost unedible. Everything else was descent in flavor and was in a condition that left me satisfied with most of the meal. Service was quick! The portions were generous I wont be back again. I prefer Chinese that is freshly prepared. Nothing really special in the flavors or options

Me my daughter and my husband got food poisoning from this place and ended up in the hospital I don't recommend .

It's ridiculous how much chicken they are giving for a chicken bowl! It use to be more last week now the cashier said that this is what is authorized to give. I paid around $10.00. Don't get me wrong the food taste good but they are getting money hungry here. This place is always packed! The line sometimes is out the door. They usually never have leftovers. It's sad how they become. I use to eat two times a week here. I guess it's time to cut back on this bowls until they come back to their senses! A few years ago I posted that they give small portions boy now they give smaller. Also they tend to give men more food that women. I sometimes send my husband or son to get me the chicken bowl and boy they tend to serve them more. No right and not fair. Please go and check it out for yourself!

The place is small but welcoming. The place is decorated with many medals from marathons. The food speaks for itself. It is very flavorful with big portions. I personally don't like Chinese food that much but this place is pretty good. It is very affordable too.

I'm a bit surprised at all the low ratings but, I'm happy I decided to give this small business a try. I placed an order online through their website, and placed an order for pick up. The pick up time was 45 mins, which was a bit high, but we were okay with that because we ordered early enough, and the food was worth the wait. Once we arrived, we found parking in the back, so I entered from there, mentioned my name, picked it up, and went home to enjoy it. The place itself looked a bit dated but was a cute little restaurant. I wouldn't mind eating inside the next time around. We ordered the cheese rangoon for our appetizer, I got the beef lomein for myself, and my boyfriend got the Kung Pao Chicken. It came with rice which was nice. The total was $45 with taxes, which was reasonable given the potion size and quality. It took us two days to finish it. All the food was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

With so many solid Chinese food options in the area, this place simply doesn't measure up. What really sealed the poor experience was the service from a woman who appeared to be the owner. When I politely asked to move tables to avoid nearby customers loudly using vulgar language, she came across as dismissive and rude (whether due to attitude or language barrier, the interaction was not handled well). I ultimately had to move myself just to enjoy my meal in peace. The only bright spot was our waiter, who was friendly and prompt. Unfortunately, one good staff member isn't enough to offset the overall experience. I won't be returning.

Everything I had was laden with this heavy, greasy, fattening stuff. If you're a fan of cooking oil, this is your go-to spot for sure. I had the "gourmet" dinner. That means Mongolian beef, my usual in basic old-school Chinese places like this. I chose won ton soup over the seafood soup choice. The broth was fine, but the won tons were thick and doughy. Not great. The beef seemed of a decent quality, but was absolutely floating in oil. This made the green and white onions too soft and mushy and dripping with oil. Ditto the very messy foil wrapped chicken appetizer, but the egg roll was okay, if bland. There are plenty of excellent choices for all types of Chinese cuisine in the Valley. No need to come here. Again though, remember I only had one dish, but I have an idea it's indicative of the entire menu.

I'm Laotian myself so it's always nice to support a small business like this. When we came during the evening, they had a lot of parking in the plaza so I just parked in the front of the restaurant. They were getting their windows tinted so there were works doing some work in the dining room. The restaurant was also busy too so it took like maybe 10 minutes to get seated. We started off with water, my wife with her Thai Tea and she also wanted the egg rolls. After our waitress brought it out, my wife ordered the chicken pho and I got the boat noodle. Our food didn't take long to come out, my wife chicken pho came out first and then my boat noodle came like 5 minutes afterwards. You get a great portion of noodles and meat on both soup. I had to ask for lemon for my wife since they didn't one to the table and also for the Sriracha sauce. I thought the boat noodle was delicious here and my wife loved her chicken pho. The service was good, remember that there only two waitress here so I would say just be understanding especially if they are busy.

Upon entry there is a takeout area where you can order hot meat dishes and to go menu or dine in. We got complimentary hot tea when seated. The interior is a bit dated compared with other restaurants of this type but the food was delicious. We got duck and preserved egg porridge, scrambled egg with shrimp, and a two bbq combo plate of char siu and roast pork. The porridge came out fast and delicious! We ate with the chili and white paper available at the table. Next came the scrambled egg and shrimp. We actually ordered the version with rice, not the entree so the servers got us some rice but missing the gravy. Lastly came the bbq combo plate. We thought it would arrive first since the meats were all ready to go in the takeout area. It came with some hoisin sauce. The char siu was tasty. The roast pork however was not as crispy and kinda mealy so the sauce helped.

Stick with ordering dishes off their menu instead. It's next to a Ranch, so there's plenty of parking available. We came by for lunch on Saturday around noon, and it was mostly filled up. It's not a big restaurant, and tables are placed pretty close to each other. That's how you know the place is going to be authentic lol They have a takeout area where you can get various bbq meats and some hot deli foods, but they also have a large menu you can order from. The four of us ordered the following dishes to try: #2 two item BBQ with roast pork and roast duck ($19.95 + $2 for roast pork) #78 chicken and veggie chow mein ($15.95) #85 beef chow fun ($16.95) #129 sauteed fish fillet ($18.95) #138 fresh squid in oyster sauce ($17.95) My favorite dish by far was the beef chow fun, which came as a huge platter and had really good wok hei flavor. The other noodle dish, the chow mein, was also good with huge portions. The fish and squid were both okay, but portions were small for the price, and to be honest, they were pretty similar down to the veggies used. We probably could've just ordered one. The most underwhelming was the bbq. The duck tasted okay but the cut they gave us was mostly bone and didn't have much meat. The roast pork was way too juicy and the skin, which is usually my favorite part due to the crisp, was tough and hard to chew.

It's true what others have stated; the serving portions are very generous and they definitely overfill that container to-go. Too much that it may pop off open if you are not careful at closing it well. Best part, the prices are reasonable for what they serve you. My order included orange chicken, rice and chow mein. The orange chicken was very good, flavorful and not too greasy. The chow mein noodles are a little on the thicker side and orange color, noodles were cooked right and tasted really good. The fried rice was also very good, it included egg mixed in there as well. The food was tolerated well by my stomach and did not make it upset at all. They must use good oils when cooking. Fast service and line moves along pretty quick, this is a go-to when you are craving chinese food at a cheaper prices vs. the other competitor. give them a try if you are in the area next time.

The menu was on laminated paper which must be a few years old and felt disgusting to touch. I started with hot tea and it was served in a metal cup. The chicken chow mein had a boatload of cabbage and probably 10 strips of chow mein noodles. It should have been called cabbage noodles (lol). The pork and crab dumplings would have been a hit, but the dumpling shell had a "soapy" smell. The meat inside was soft and tasted good, but I couldn't get over the smell of the shell. We would have also wanted to try seaweed salad, but it was unavailable on this day. The parking at Northern Cafe is plenty. The staff is also courteous. But given the state of the food and overall feel, I give it only two stars. Truthfully, you can find better Chinese food close by this area. There's Maru Ramen on Reseda and Nordhoff, or Silverlake Ramen on Rinaldi. And no, I don't work for either of those places. All of this feedback is based on customer experience.

We popped in around 2:45 a couple days ago and it was the oddest dining experience I've had in a long time. 30-45 minutes of anxiety. As soon as we walked in, we were seated and immediately the carts came over. Instead of allowing us a little bit of time to look at the menu, they just hovered over us, rushing us to tell them what we want. Note: I rarely go for dim sum, so I'm not familiar with the items like others who specifically come for this (like my mom - who felt rushed too). We got 3 items from the cart (4 pieces each), sesame balls, and a plate of beef. How this came out to over $55 is still nuts to me. I absolutely don't mind splurging on food, but this made no sense to me. The food was a 2-3/5 AT BEST. The beef was good, but super overpriced. They don't offer water, only bottles from Costco that they charge almost $2 for. We ordered tea too, please look at my attached photo to see the absolute filth built up on their kettles. The guests dining here were all talking with their mouths full, coughing, and sneezing all over the place. The carts are just sitting around, some of the items are not even covered and they have them placed in a section where they pile up all the dirty dishes from the table clean ups. Question: how does this restaurant have an A? Furthermore, when they brought us a box for leftovers, they placed the dirty checkbook/ tab INSIDE the box. Disaster. Never coming back!
