ASHLEY FURNITURE. THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR RETURN POLICY. A defective bed was delivered and they refused to let me return it. I went to the store and picked out a more expensive bed, and was willing to pay the difference, but CUSTOMER CARE refused. Monique, Kayla, Kaylen Bates and Thomasine said there was no one else above them. They said they had never heard of Steve Humphries, the district manager. The General Manager at the local store, Theo, tried to order the new bed but Customer Care refused to budge. Customer care lied to me multiple times and continued to deny there was anything wrong with the bed even after they had sent a technician out. Then they acknowledged the bed had a manufacturer's defect in writing, but would only approve an even exchange of the exact same bed. I can now only leave bad reviews on any site possible. The employees at the local store are awesome ! Theo, the general manager, tried his best to remedy this situation but could not. read more

Ashley furniture experience was great. Salesperson was attentive, gave space but kept checking in and got to the important details. Manager, Katie, was extremely friendly and very helpful. I ordered Earhart recliner set. The loveseat is missing a T-nut making it defective and recliner unsafe. It's 6 months after receiving the product and now they're saying it's $75 to send a technician to address. So I have defective furniture and the company Ashley furniture of Fredericksburg is requiring a technician fee to address their defective product. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Spent $3k in furniture, delivery broken, multiple redeliveries of still-broken items. They will not refund, so you have to "reselect" from items they have available in-store, which isn't much. I selected a cabinet, delivered stained. Now waiting on a new one for months. Was told back in stock 8/12. Sent multiples emails and left messages, no response. Got ahold of customer care and new ETA is 10/4. Do yourself a favor and do NOT do business with this company. Nothing but aggravation and lies. Not sure how those salespeople sleep at night. read more

I gave this store a scathing 1-star review earlier in the month, but they corrected the issue pre-delivery so I deleted the post. Now that I'm not quite so enraged, I'll try to write a fair summation of my entire experience. SHOWROOM: My salesperson was not pushy, but he did lie to me regarding delivery pricing to make the sale, and I'm not okay with that. I believe in integrity especially when it comes to major purchases. Their technology also caused the purchase process to lag on and on. I purchased a chest of drawers and a small sofa chaise. CUSTOMER CARE TEAM: Truly atrocious. Eventually, the issue was sorted after the first person looped back to me and I didn't have to pay the extra delivery fee, but one agent straight up read from a script to me. No empathy. No human aspect. I know that's a horrible job and they must take so much crap, but just a touch of care would have helped substantially​. Management should really pull that call and use it as an example to implement sensitivity training. DELIVERY: The best part of my experience, actually. The two guys showed up at the very beginning of my allocated time so I didn't have to hang around all day and wait for my furniture. They were really personable, clean and efficient. For a second I was afraid my sofa wouldn't fit in my itty bitty studio, but it turned out to be a perfect fit! SURVEY: I found it bizarre that I had to complete a phone survey in person, but I was honest about the experience. I just think that should be sent via email a few days after. FURNITURE QUALITY: I purchased two sofas, a glass coffee table, and two end tables from Ashley about five years ago, so I trusted the quality. Unfortunately, ​my new purchase is already falling short. My sofa is comfortable but doesn't look like it's going to last a long time like my old one. The cushions look a little off-kilter​. I imagine it'll last a couple years at most. My chest of drawers has a few chips that I didn't notice until later and it also feels a bit flimsy now that it's in use. Would I recommend Ashley as openly as I did for the past five years? Probably not. I was going to give them 3 stars, but now that I've re-read my feelings, I'd say it falls under "meh I've experienced better." read more

Paid $3500 for two recliners, waited eight weeks for delivery, which was fine. Delivery was fine. UNTIL two weeks later when the motor went bad in the headrest to one of them. They ordered the replacement, another six weeks. Fine. Repairs were to be made last Friday 9/13/24. They were supposed to call the night before to give us a three hour window - no call. They were closed (5pm). Went to work the next morning, husband called at 8am & our delivery window was apparently 8am-11am. Before I could clock out and head home, they rang our doorbell and my husband attempted to speak to the non-english speaking repairman. Needless to say, it was pushed to tomorrow, 9/20/24. My husband called twice today trying to get a time frame, they couldn't give one. I am Fed the F*CK UP. read more

Purchased TV stand 8/10/2024. Paid to have it and all other items delivered and put together. the stand came with missing parts. I complained at the time of delivery , the delivery service called customer service that day. we were told someone would come out to inspect and fix the issue. Today 9/18/2024 is my 3rd time coming to the store on Broad Street to complain. I've been standing here near customer patiently waiting for someone to assist me while writing this review because only one person is working. if you decide to purchase something from Ashley Home Furniture Store DO NOT ACCEPT it if anything is wrong with it. I am starting to think that we are stuck with this piece of useless furniture that cost me $549. 00. Calling customer care has been useless sine they do not actually answer the phone. read more

My girlfriend and I were looking for a new couch for our new house. We had an idea what we were looking for but had never shopped for a couch together. We spent over 3 hours in this store over the course of two days. Jerrell help us narrow down our options by giving us multiple creative solutions. He was patient, helpful and gave us time to talk to each other. We are now leaving with the couches of our dreams, within our price range, and meeting our dimension/measurement requirements. Bought almost 5k worth of mattress and base. Waited a week to get it, gave away my old bed. Delivery showed up on time but someone had packed a USED base of a different brand into the box of the brand I was supposed to get! Customer service was useless. Can't get the right base for a week! Now I'm sleeping on the floor. The store salesman said he can't do anything about it. They don't accept returns either. Will never do business with them again! read more

We are looking to purchase a living room set, and it is impossible to get a price from this place. All of the prices on the furniture are so inflated and marked out with a marker. When you talk to a person they want to know if you are financing or purchasing, because you pay a different price. I fell that this is dishonest, for people looking to finanance because they already charge a finance charge. We asked for a print out with the prices on and it, and they told us that they couldn't print anything out or write down the prices. I guess they can kiss the $3000 sale good by. read more

We contacted our original sales member, Jordan, and now we just received an update that our couch will be delivered 5/18. I don't typically write reviews, but after leaving Ashley Furniture - I couldn't help but feel frustrated. I had visited the store twice where a helpful associate was walking me through the different options I needed. (Sectional, dining room set, etc.) and had a great experience thus far. On my third visit, I brought my partner with me as we were going to make a purchase and was ready to spend a lot of $$. We were greeted by a male sales associate who proceeded to follow us around the store and not give us any space. We had told him MULTIPLE times that we were NOT going to finance nor get the protection plan. We decided on a dining set that had a promotion going on that only included 4 chairs, and we wanted the 8 chairs that were on the floor. We battled with him on working out a pricing deal since we were buying a sofa that day, and he kept telling us theres nothing he can do etc etc. After about 45 minutes of him "going to his manager" he finally told us he could offer us all 8 chairs for X price and we were like whatever ok. We picked out the sofa and just wanted to get out of there. So, he then tells me he needs my credit card and ID to start creating the invoice. I asked him what my bill was - and he tells me the dining table, chairs and sofa that we agreed upon. Up to this point he had bagered me a handful of times about financing - it is clear that the associates get some sort of higher commission off of financing options. But it was to the point were it was too much of a pester and becoming quite frustrating. Anyways, he tells my partner and I to sit down. WE WAITED FOR AN HOUR it seemed like while they were "creating my account" we were absolutely annoyed, and started to look online for the same furniture we were about to buy to just order it online. Come to find out that the back and forth of the dining tables and chairs price - was the same exact price offered online .... so that was annoying. I got an alert to my american express saying my card was charged, for a higher amount that i thought i would be charged at. This pissed me off because i never saw a final bill or anything of that fact before he swiped my card. So i storm over to him and ask why he just charged my card. He got all nervous and said oh i showed you the final bill - to which i said no you did not. You gave me the pre-tax total. IDK how muh delivery, tax is etc. I need an itemized breakdown because its just not adding up. Anyways, come to find out, he charged me for white glove delivery service (which i never agreed to) AND PROTECTION PLAN. WHich i told him several times i did not want. It took him about 10 minutes to "pull up my receipt" because it was lost in the system but he knew what he did. I just felt scammed and that he tried to get away with charging me more money than it needed to be. It's unfortunate because i still have a lot more furniture to buy, but will not be using Ashley as my 3 hour trip to buy that left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

Bought two mattresses and scheduled delivery. Only one mattress was delivered. Delivery guy made a call and she said she would look into it and call back. No call back. I contacted the salesman who sold me the mattresses. He texted that he was in a meeting but would take care of it. He did not respond the rest of the day. I attempted to reach a manager 4 times, each time told she wasn't there. 4 messages to have her call me and still no response. Fighting this with my credit card company. What a terrible shopping experience but what I now view as a dishonest company. Shop elsewhere or just try it out here and buy on Amazon for big savings. read more

Hear yee...Hear yee! Never, not not ever buy anything from Ashley Home Store. Cute stuff but what a disaster of a business. One disaster after another and all i want is a bed. I even went in the store and sat with the manager. Each person says sorry and directs me somewhere else, and I am excellent with resolving a mess. I am being charged for 3 beds and have none. JUST A HOT MESS. Now Value City put them to shame. Ordered a dining room set on Wednesday and on Saturday morning they were there setting it up. Professional all the way. Lesson learned. Bought a Purple mattress with a 90 day return policy from Ashley Homestore and if did not like or whatever reason. Mattress did not work for my wife. Called Ashley Furniture Store they said the return had to go through Purple. Called Purple they said return had to go through Ashley FS. Went to the Ashley FS customer service person in the store he said they could not take it back to go to Customer Care (which is Ashley Furniture Store) who said that they could not take it back. Called the store to talk to the STORE MANAGER, Pamela, she said she had to turn it over to Customer Care because she could not do anything about a return. The 90 days are up May 31st and today is May 8th. This is a total runaround to keep from living up to what they promised at the time of the sale. This is a company you should never do business with. Well first of all, the salesman clearly lied about the delivery time just to make a sale. He promised 2-3 weeks delivery, so after 3 weeks we called and they said the delivery time was unavailable. After multiple calls they said it would be 6-8 weeks delivery, very frustrating when you don't have a couch and the only reason you went with this one was the delivery time. They were very rude on the multiple phone calls and unhelpful. Still don't have the chaise for the couch, waiting for that to be delivered over 2 months. Also, the couch isn't anything like the one that was on display in store and it's overpriced. I would not recommend this store. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I ordered a living room set TWO MONTHS in advance so that I would be able to have it the exact day I needed it. They said this would be no problem. They said they would put the arrival to the warehouse date to be no later than 2/28 if I wanted it to be delivered to my home on 3/1. I called a few days early to see if it had arrived early but it hadn't- again, I was told it would be there by 2/28 and I'd be able to schedule a 2/29 delivery. I call on 2/28 to schedule a delivery and was told the sofa/chaise is in, but the recliner is not and would not be until next week. I asked if the couch could be delivered 2/29 and the recliner be delivered later when it arrives. They tell me no, a partial delivery cannot be done. I was not given an apology. I asked if I instead I can be compensated all if not part of the delivery fee, because if this 2/28 warehouse delivery is an "estimate", why did they not schedule it, say 2/21, to account for possible delay so that I could have my furniture when I needed it on 3/1? I'd be able to understand if I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and that's the fastest it could be here, but that was NOT the case. The manager of the store, Kim Migliano (perhaps spelling is off) did not even have the decency to call me back herself. Instead, I had to call multiple times asking for her, each time with someone assuring me she would call me back. She never did. She just ended up having one of her employees tell me over the phone they wouldn't be able to compensate me in any way instead of coming to the phone herself. No delivery fee waived or reduced, no partial delivery of the furniture, not even some 10% discount code. Not that I would even want that discount code, because I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from this company, ESPECIALLY THIS STORE in particular, again. read more

We changed our minds a few times but she was very kind. With a smile she assisted us until we got what we were Looking for. She multitasked by engaging our kids in the many questions they had.
