We purchased a dining room set the end of October. The decision to buy it from Ashley was based on the promise by Jake that the set would arrive by Christmas. Two weeks ago we called to find out the status of the order and was told that it will e delivered in 16 to 18 weeks and the only thing in stock was the base. We tried unsuccessfully to reach the store so instead we drove over last weekend. We met with Jake and he asked us who told us the 16 to 18 time line. He scheduled the delivery for the 9 th and gave us a printed conformation. When they arrived yesterday. They brought only the base and it was damaged. I am really frustrated over the straight up lies and the sleazy sales tactics of the store. I wish I had read the reviews on Yelp before making the purchase. Reading the other reviews it is apparently a pattern of the store and justifies a class action law suit. Buyer be ware!!! read more

I want to give a shout out to Sharon Hauge. I visited the store and already had found the dresser I wanted online. She was super helpful showing me the one I wanted and finding me discounts for it. I came home and did some more research and ended up finding it on Amazon cheaper but I couldn't find the mirror. I ended up purchasing that from her. She never sounded disappointed and continued to treat me like I purchased an $1100 dresser. She also found me more discounts on the mirror. If I could leave 0 stars I would have. Worst customer service I have ever experienced! I've spent over $10,000 on furniture in this store and no one can even tell me where the pieces are or when they with arrive. I was first told July 9th when I bought the furniture back in the end of May. That turned out to be untrue. Then I got told everything should come on the 14th by customer service only to be told by and in-store manager that only my couch would be coming on the 14th and not the mattress and mattress base. When the 14th came I only got 3 of the 5 pieces of the sectional couch and no one had an answer as to when the pieces would come in or where they even are. Now I'm told my mattress may or may not come on the 21st and that my 2 remaining pieces of the sectional may or may not get in within the next week and a half. I have called customer services at least 5 times and gone in person to the store a handful of times as well and no one has any answers, including managers. I can't even cancel my order and go somewhere else because they will keep 10%. And I know for a fact that it takes at least a month and a half to get a refund with these people because that's how long it took for me to get a refund on a different purchase. All in all I think building my own furniture would have been quicker and easier than dealing with Ashley home store. Save your time and money and go literally anywhere else. read more

My experience with Ashley furniture was horrible I should have read the reviews. I found out that Ashley stores are individually owned the one in South Austin has Great reviews . Pflugerville location where I went horrible reviews. I never went through with purchase because I could not get a question answered about my order. I closed the account they opened up 2 days before I closed my account. After I closed it then I was getting calls about solving my order. Well today I get a credit card from Ashley financed through another company I dd not authorize. I guess they needed an open account to charge me a restocking fee for furniture that was never ordered. Tgat is deceptive trade practices. If this has happen to you turn them in to the attorney generals office, the Federal Trade Commission and the BBB Better business bureau . This is not right or legal. This Ashley location should be shut down. read more

I went to purchase furniture here on 10/10 part of our delivery was delivered and found out the other was on backordrer with a different delivery date which was never relayed us. Then we find out it's not the correct piece that was ordered. I went up to the store to see what was going one and one of the ladies apologized offered discounts and says she will get back to me once the order was released, fixed, and a new delivery date was set. Well a WHOLE WEEK goes by with no response. I call back speak with Amelia who says she will pass information to her boss and get back to me, but never received a returned call. So I go back up there and speak to Jerry a sales manager who states he fixed everything provided paperwork stating my furniture would be delivered on 11/05. STILL NO FURNITURE. I go back up there and speak with Jeff another sales manager who tells me the delivery company called me but my VM was full. The date I received the call was 11/06, but my delivery was 11/05 what good does that do??! I then request to have the one piece of the sectional picked up and the store manager who refuses to have it picked up. I've been inconvenienced on multiple occasions and no longer want to be inconvenienced. They want me to purchase an incomplete set when they are the ones who FAILED to do their jobs correctly on 3 separate occasions. I've also called around to different franchises around the area and they all state if it was their situation they would have the furniture removed from my home and refund the money. My husband and I bought furniture several months ago, living room and bedroom. An ottoman and box springs were delivered fairly quickly. We understand that there are shipping delays etc and knew it would take a while. However, we purchased for a second home in Georgetown, we live outside of Corpus Christi. Twice we have been told the rest of the furniture was being delivered. Twice we have taken off work for NO SHOWS! No one will return our calls Or even pick up the phone at the store! All that was needed was to have 6 screws installed which the delivery people neglected to do. Being a Sales Manager for largest used-car retailer and a Fortune 500 company I spend the bulk of my day dealing with customer service issues good and bad. Not for 1 second would I jeopardize the customer experience for $200 which is now tied to the experience my wife and I had this weekend at the Round Rock location. Having been an Ashley customer for over 20 years, I could only share positive experiences for every location I've ever visited. That all ended yesterday. We were at the location Saturday night looking to purchase a new bed for our new house. The bed was already decided on as we had visited the Killeen location after seeing the item we liked online. Having moved closer to the Round Rock location we decided to pop in there to complete the purchase of the bed and decide on a mattress. The mattress we were hoping to purchase was no longer made as there was a change to items the stores carried. We tried out several different types and kind of settled for one. We were told about the 10% cancellation charge. In my head I'm thinking it's tired to items that were out for delivery or maybe even shipped from one facility to another to satisfy an order. Seeing as how they have a return/exchange program for mattresses. The following day we were out doing some shopping and found one that we both loved instantly. The Purple Mattress, which Ashley doesn't offer. We completed the purchase and called to cancel the mattress portion of the order we had placed less that 12 hours ago on a Saturday night. We were told that someone would call us back to confirm. Several hours late we received a call at which point we were told of the fee once again. We asked to speak to a manager concerning the charge because at that point I wanted to cancel the whole order and just take our business to the Killeen location. The lady on the said that we would be receiving a call from the manager that was going to help us out. Here I am thinking that we would at least get a call back seeing as how customer service should be a priority, and we were assured that we would get a call. WRONG!!!!!! This morning my wife played phone tag with the store and wounded up just paying the money. But like I explained to her the staff was wrong for not returning the call to address the concern even if the result was the same. My loyalty to Ashley is no more. Especially over the 10% charge for items not even delivered. That's just insane. I honestly would like to know how an order placed less than 24 hours ago would inquire a charge. I have posted a review for this business already, and if I could give them negative ratings, I would. I won't go into how I was dissed at the store, and how humiliating it was. I bought the wrong things online, and have tried for weeks to get someone to tell me how to return them. After my first negative Yelp review for them someone contacted me telling me I would be contacted by their escalation team and their Ecommerce customer service within 48 hours. It's been a week, and of course I haven't been contacted by anyone. UPS finally came to get the items, and when I received the refund, it was only a partial one. It was at least $60 short. **I created a Yelp account just for this review** We bought a living room set on 8/31/19 and our sales associate, Jeff, was absolutely wonderful and so helpful from start to finish so this has nothing to do with our experience when we made our purchase. He was truly a great help with making a decision. This review is regarding the terrible customer service Ashley provided. We were told that the love seat would take a little longer than our sofa and recliner chair we purchased to be delivered (9/13 vs 9/26). We were going to be out of town on 9/13 and wanted to ensure that everything fit and looked how we wanted it to in our living room so we opted to have everything delivered on 9/26 instead. Last Thursday (9/26) came and the delivery men asked "Did you know your sofa is on back order?" - we did not know that. He then offered to call the store for us (again, greatly appreciated) and we were told that it made it to the warehouse that day but unfortunately wasn't ready to go out for delivery so they would call us the next day to schedule the delivery of the sofa. They said we weren't notified of the back order because we didn't have an email address listed on our account. The next day, we did not receive a call to schedule the delivery of our sofa. My husband ended up calling to follow up in the afternoon. When he spoke to customer service, they advised the sofa was indeed not in the warehouse and they won't have it until October 15-16th. They continued to apologize over and over without any kind of resolution or explanation as to why we were told the sofa was in the warehouse the day before and now they won't have it until the middle of October. We have guests coming in from out of town with half of a living room set that only sits 3 people. We're going to have to use our camping chairs in our living room now to accommodate our guests. Needless to say, we are beyond disappointed. We've shopped with Ashley many times over the years and this has been the absolute worst experience. I came here with a friend, to look at wall art and was greeted by a nice salesman. As we walked around, we were followed by hoards of crickets and saw dozens of crusty, dead ones along the floor. Gross; especially while walking around in flip flops. P.S. - we'd already shopped at several places beforehand and hadn't encountered any crickets elsewhere. This store needs to up their pest control & cleaning game. The available art was boring, and mimicked what I'd already seen at other stores, so not worth the trip. When I questioned him he stated they use a waterfall to find the best rate and assured me there was only one account. That wasn't true. I received 4 different cards in the mail. I called the plugerville store with questions about a sleigh bed for my mom. I ordered while on the call, 5 days later the nightmare began. I live in Austin and a days before the deliver days Austin went on "shelter in place." This store closed 2 days before the order. I've tried to cancel this order, they refuse to not charge me the 10% fee on my $1153 order. I was forced to accept the delivery. I was the 10th stop on 3.26.2020 by then they had been in 9 different spots of potential infection. I've been on the phone with Customer Service for 3 days trying to stop delivery, they can't help me. I say cancel.they ask me for a delivery date even if it's 2 months out. There is no guarantee 2 months is long enough and I should not be forced to tie up this amount of money on uncertainty. There not an essential company so how are they forcing people to receive deliveries? Yikes!! I've never experienced such bad customer service. It's a shame because I really liked half the order I received. The online order didn't populate my zip code correctly so it was manually entered for me by a rep who was actually awesome but it all went downhill from there. Another rep contacted me and said UPS was coming to pick up the items I received because the order was cancelled. I wanted the items!! I spent two hours on the phone and chat trying to figure out what went wrong. I was bounced back and forth between two numbers and nobody could answer my questions. I called one of the numbers three times and the other twice and had to sit on hold forever each time. I requested a manager three times and was told no. I chatted with 4 different reps on the computer who sent me to the same numbers and one just left the chat. I wasn't rude AT all. I responded to two different reps that emailed me with no response. I called the store and got a voicemail, left a message, no call. How is this company still in business? Ashley's Furniture is probably the worst furniture company out there. Since my apartment flooded during the snow storm I had to move to a whole new apartment complex and all of my stuff was damaged . I went there and decided to finance until my insurance check came in, well the guy who did the application didn't know what he was doing and opens several accounts in my name. Now I understand there can a be a delay with delivery during COVID but what they have been doing is ridiculous, everything will be in stock and then it set up for a delivery then it's not in stock anymore. I was set up for delivery last Wednesday and confirmed several times that's EVERYTHING would be deliver but nope only the mattress showed up. I had to take off work for this. Now yesterday the rest was supposed to be delivered and NOTHING after it was confirmed to be delivered they never showed or called to let me know they where not coming after rearranging my schedule at work once again. I was living in another state at the time I called the store to buy a sleeper sofa couch and needed it to be delivered the day I got into Austin. I had my eye set on a particular couch, but asked if Steven had any better options. He gave me a list of 5 other sleeper sofas to check out! He helped me narrow down the choices with details about each of them without being pushy. I went with a completely different couch than I was originally going to buy! I am so greatful for Steven. I absolutely love my new couch and wouldn't have found it without him. He also made sure my couch was in stock and would be delivered the day I asked. We purchased an entertainment center from Ashley HomeStore furniture. We are very unhappy with their delivery and assembly of the product. The whole experience was very unpleasant. The entire time while they assembled the entertainment center the delivery men complained about what a "headache" this piece was. It was obvious that they had no idea what they were doing because they had left the sliding doors on the ramp without the screws properly placed to stop the doors from actually sliding off. I pointed it out to them and they did fix that however, they then asked me if I had a step ladder for them to screw the pieces at the top together. I didn't, so they brought in their dolly to climb and screw the top together. If I am paying money for the assembly and delivery I am going to expect them to bring all the materials they need to do so. I was very over it and their complaining that I wanted them out of my house which eventually they managed to half way put it together and leave. Once my husband was home and we looked at everything we noticed several scratches. He also took a look at the top where they struggled to screw the entertainment center together and there was several screws left and missing screws which they never said a word to me about. I have called Ashley's home store the guy asked for me to send him pictures which I did and I was very vocal about how unhappy I was to which he responded it's kind of dumb, but we use a third party for delivery. We are waiting for someone to call me tomorrow about what they are going to do about this. Well... I did read the reviews before checking out this store so I am just going to add my 3 cents on Ashley Furniture. Pros: Large selection Nice pieces Sales associates not pushy.. they pretty much let you do your own thing Cons: My sales associate Elizabeth- did not know a thing about the furniture or color choices of different sofas, etc. Delivery Charge - I was told max $140, but then again I was also told the more you buy the more the delivery charge is.. which I replied that's ridiculous! You can shop local for the same furniture and a few places I checked out had flat rate delivery fees ranging anywhere from $39-$89. My Sales associate Elizabeth- argumentative and repeatedly said they would not budge on prices, delivery charge, etc. **Do you see where I am going with my Cons section!!!! I am sure if I would have encountered a different sales associate I may have had a different experience, but I can choose where to spend my money and something was telling me.. NOT HERE!! So buyer beware. If you do go in and you come across Elizabeth... briskly walk to the other end of the store.. You would look silly trying to run in between all that furniture!! it's a pretty big store so she may find you but it's definitely worth a try!! ;0) read more

Normally, I would give Ashley Furniture a great rating, as their furniture is beautiful, well-priced, and seems to hold up well. HOWEVER, today, almost five years after buying $10,000 worth of living room furniture from them, I find out that they flat out lied to me. When we bought the furniture, they suckered me into buying the warranty for it by saying "If you don't use it, it will be refunded to you." Well, I found out a few months ago that that's not true -- it will be applied to the cost of more furniture, which I don't need. So I decided that I would actually use the warranty and have them repair some scratches on the leather and a place where the color had worn off. So I call Montage Furniture Services, the warranty company, today and am quickly told that cat scratches, color wearing off, etc are NOT covered and the only things that are covered are "if you spill something on it, the cat pees on it, someone rips it with scissors in their pocket, or jumps on it and breaks it..." Where Ashley Furniture comes into play with this is they told me that "the warranty coveres anything a human or an animal can do to that furniture." REALLY???? I guess a cat scratching it (by jumping on it, not intentionally clawing it) is done by a monster, not the animal. Regardless, the Ashley salesman LIED to me to get me to buy the warranty. POOR POOR DECISION, Ashley Furniture. You may have just lost a customer for life. (Of course, I doubt that you care because you'll sucker enough people into buying the warranty to make up for my missed sales.) read more

I was supposed to get a foundation on the sixth, showed up and they said oh just kidding it'll be here on the 13th. I show up on the 13th and they say oh it'll be here on the 27th. The rudest employee called me yesterday, answered the phone by saying "can you come get this thing". I said excuse me who is this, she said "Ashley furniture, can you get this box thing at now". I said no but I can pick it up tomorrow after six is that okay, she said "okay fine" and hung up. I showed up today at six to get it and surprise their warehouse is closed, they close at 5:30 every day.... Im so beyond pissed. Ill update after tomorrow. I just want what I paid for. ------- I arrived at the store at 6pm like planned and Spenser L. had everything ready to go. He was kind and helpful, just as customer service rep should be. If you ever go to this store I would ask for him. I'm even giving an extra star because of how great he was. read more
