I recently received a new adjustable base as an exchange, and while the delivery drivers arrived earlier than scheduled which I appreciated the overall experience continues to be frustrating. After the delivery, I noticed they took essential parts of my bed with them, specifically the adjustable legs. These are standard components that should have been left with me. When I looked it up, I confirmed they're necessary for proper setup. I also asked for the manual, and one of the drivers told me I didn't need it because it was an exchange. That response was unprofessional. Regardless of whether it's a replacement or not, I should receive all parts and instructions that come with the product. To make matters worse, I noticed a credit listed on my receipt but when I contacted corporate, they claimed there's nothing they can do and acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. There is clearly a disconnect between the store and corporate, and I'm stuck in the middle dealing with the consequences. The sales process was smooth only until the purchase was completed. I was told that the couch would be delivered on Tuesday, March 24, which was the main reason I moved forward with buying it. I was also signed up for financing, which caused a hard inquiry on my credit and opened a Synchrony account. What actually happened was completely different. By the day before delivery, I still had not received any useful update. When I went back to the store on March 24 to ask about it, I was suddenly told the earliest delivery date was April 8. That was unacceptable, especially since I had just moved and needed the sofa for my new place. Trying to cancel the order was even worse than the delay itself. Even though I bought the sofa in-store, the employee told me I had to contact customer service on my own to cancel it. No one at the store took ownership of the problem. When I asked for help, I was brushed off. When I asked for the employee's full name so I could file a complaint, she refused to provide it and then threatened to have me removed from the store. To make things worse, the phone number I was given did not even work at first. I ended up having to chase down the correct number, cancel the order myself, and then separately contact Synchrony to deal with the financing account. The delivery drivers were servicing my neighbor's order but created multiple problems: - Blocked my driveway for over an hour despite being politely asked to move - Threw trash on my lawn and left boxes in my driveway - When I politely asked them to clean up, they became hostile and argumentative One driver made a racist comment telling me to "go back to section 8" simply because of my skin color. I have bought different furniture from this place, and I was a returning customer right until the last time. I had moved to a new home and decided to buy a new bedroom set for me and my son. They sold me a bed for my son that I was supposed to put together, but they didn't tell me. If they had, I would have never chosen that bed frame. I only learned about that when they delivered the furniture and left me the boxes without a manual for me to figure out what to do. I called the store. They reassured me they were sending a technician to assemble the bed. It turned out it was all lies when I called corporate, and they said all sales were final; they could only give me a small store credit, and the stores were not able to request assembly of any of the furniture. I had to look for someone to assemble the bed and pay this person, so the bed frame ended up costing me double. It also took two more weeks for my son to have a bed since I had to look for a person to assemble it. This was extremely inconvenient not to mention stressful. The communication from the store and corporate is minimal; they don't care about the customers, and information is not fully disclosed when you buy furniture. DO NOT GO HERE. On October 12th of 2024 my Girlfriend and I, very excited for it, decided to purchase our first couch together. What we didn't know was that we were signing up for a 3 month exchange saga, which even at this point has not been put to rest. Our Salesman, ****, literally cannot get our issue corrected. Useless is a word that I would use for this entire Ashley team from the top down. And it honestly feels from our point of view that there is a complete lack of accountability. The only helpful person in 3 months was Linda, the online representative. Despite being informed that finally our couch would be delivered on 1/17 from them, it wasn't, and delivery has now alternated to 1/23- 1/24. In the beginning they sent us the incorrect piece for our sectional (and forgot all of the rubber Stops for the sectional which was discovered at a later time) . There is no true follow through from this team, and every attempt to correct it requires constant escalation. This is not worth your time and money, and you need to look elsewhere for your furniture needs. Also, if you decide to purchase a unit from them and face struggles, you can't return the couch, which sucks. I'd pay a restock fee at this point to end this saga with this team. Anything would be better than to ever deal with Ashley ever again. I will never purchase anything from Ashley and will actively work to discourage anyone from doing so. I asked him how much it is. he walked away and told me he will let me know. at this point I don't really like his sales energy. he then came up to me with an iPad of the paperwork and told me to start signing. I took a step back and started reading this paperwork it had charges of the insurance for $800 and the delivery free for down the street for $300. I'm already upset I told him to remove these charges I just want the couch. he didn't seem to care. removed them. to his team I looked like the bad guy. Delivery was on a Saturday, delivery driver said someone would call us on Monday. I went into the store to talk to a manager and some very polite sales people tried to help by putting in an ER ticket to be shipped to us. We received some hardware but still missed the slats. Worst customer service experience I've ever had I want to start by saying that my salesperson, Brandon, was excellent -- professional, kind, and extremely helpful from start to finish. Unfortunately, everything else about my experience with Ashley Furniture was an absolute disaster. I purchased a sofa and a swivel chair. Brandon explained that within a few days I would be contacted to schedule delivery and that I would receive a 3-hour delivery window. When delivery day came, the team arrived with a damaged swivel chair and one of the sofa cushions didn't even belong to the sofa. They took the swivel back and told me to call customer service to request both replacements. Customer service called me, I explained the situation, and they said they would call me back in 10 minutes with a solution. They never called back. Three days later, I received a text saying the new swivel and cushion would be delivered. Again, I was given a 3-hour window (2-5 PM). By 8 PM, nobody had shown up or contacted me. I reached out to the salesperson, who found out the truck had apparently broken down and they simply weren't coming. The following day, I went to the store to speak with the manager. I explained everything and told him I no longer wanted the swivel. I asked them to send the correct cushion to the store so I could pick it up myself. He said that wasn't possible because they would need to pick up my entire sofa and bring me a whole new one -- which made absolutely no sense. So instead, I had to wait another week, with another 3-hour delivery window, just so they could come and swap one cushion, not the entire sofa. Four days after that, I continued receiving calls from customer service saying the swivel chair still needed to be delivered -- even though the manager supposedly canceled the order and issued me store credit. This has been, without a doubt, the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The lack of communication, the endless waiting, the repeated mistakes, and the disorganization are unbelievable. first of all, our salesman lied to us about the price he was going to give us on a bed. We also asked if we could have this delivered to us at our new home two months later and he said no problem and would set up the date. before the day happened, we were called multiple times asking when we were gonna come pick up our stuff at the warehouse, we then reached out to ourselves person and asked if we were all set for the correct date, which he replied, yes. The date came for delivery and of course we didn't get our furniture. We ended up getting it a week later and our two lamps were missing from the order. called the salesman and he said he would check into it and get back to me, he never did. We called the corporate number and they said they would escalate this for us and take care of it and someone will give us a call back. No one called us back. we then called corporate again, and they told us that FedEx delivered the lamps on a certain date to our door, which we didn't even live at the place then. We asked just take the lamps off of our total price. Once again they said they would call us back and we have never heard anything else about it. We purchased a bedroom set from Ashley and paid extra for their delivery service to put together the bed frame. Within 2 weeks the bed frame cracked. We had to order replacement parts. When it arrived we replaced it and noticed their delivery service - for which we paid a premium price - used the incorrect hardware and put it together wrong which caused the frame to break in the first place. *CORRECTION: the inspector said there are woodboring beetles in the dresser. There is no way we would of been able to see evidence of them upon delivery unless there were little dust coming out like we are seeing now. read more

We went to the store on a Saturday. Dee dee was great and said they'd file the approval paperwork to use the credit and apply it to our purchase. Went to look at the dimension and to my surprise ONLINE PRICES are significantly less than in store I'm talking like a $200 difference on a table. We called back the same day to as they price match and they agreed. We were told we'd hear back within 24-48 hours. The week went by and we didn't hear anything after calling customer service multiple times. Apparently, it's extremely rare to actually get connected to the store. So we dropped in on a Friday. Nothing had been done (and we were getting close to our credit expiring). Adilene spoke to us and connected us to a guy who was so annoying to work with. He said we'll see what we can do about price matching. When everyone simply says they can do it. He acted like he was doing us a favor. He couldn't do math. For some reason, my credit wasn't showing up for the full amount and he kept saying we had less than what was available to spend. I'm like did you not price match? And he said yeah. Apparently, math is hard. Anyhow, he said he'd give me a 70 dollar discount because they shorted us 85 dollars on the credit. Even with taxes that's 75, so I overpaid 10 dollars. When I said I wanted to pick another item when we had more money available he made a face like he was annoyed. I don't know if it's because they were getting ready to close but we wouldn't be there if they had done the job right when we went in. I called him out on it and he just said so what do you want while the girl tried to lighten the mood. He made me sign something without looking at the screen so I didn't catch his math mistake and that they had my old address for this order instead of what we had already provided. INCOMPETENT and obnoxious. Even at the end, he said we were even. I mentioned I had already put a deposit and he said I'd be receiving a refund. It just all felt shady. At the end adilene said don't say we didn't do anything for you. Again, they didn't do me any favors. I was there to get what I paid for at a fair price. Everything they did was wrong. We purchased a new bedroom set in November right before Black Friday. Our new bedroom furniture set was delivered back in mid December. Nearly every piece had a defect. The delivery guy refused to take it back on the truck and instead told me to call Ashley. From there, we were told a tech would be out to look at the furniture and make repairs and set up replacements. It took two months and multiple phone calls to get somebody out to our home. The furniture repair company blamed Ashley, who then accused us of not even contacting the correct person. Turns out, the manager had given us the wrong contact information and that Ashley employee did not pass it on to the right person. At this point, we requested a full refund and to return the furniture. Ashley refused and assured us the matter would be resolved... Several weeks ago a tech came out finally. He photographed the furniture. He let us know that not only would they be repairing the broken bedside table, but would replace the headboard and footboard and repaint any defects in the chest or dresser. Today the repair tech finally came...four months after the initial delivery and told us that "the other guy didn't have the authority to say anything about replacements or additional repairs." So now I'm 8 months pregnant with a two year old son and a dog recovering from surgery and I get to hunt for a lawyer. I wouldn't recommend this furniture company to my worst enemy because it would be too cruel. We wanted to leave with them but they were at the warehouse in New Braunfels, so we asked to go pick them up. After our transaction was complete we were told only one was at the warehouse. I then got a text with delivery options but in THREE weeks, after Christmas! So I called the location of purchase. I spoke with someone named Alveno or Albeno & he said he would take care of it & if I didn't get a text to set up delivery that week I could cancel & be fully refunded. That day I got a text for delivery the following Monday (8 days after purchase). I accepted & figured it was done. Until someone named Quinn left a message & said only half of my order would be delivered & the other half AFTER Christmas. So, I again called the store & spoke to Alveno who said he would send the cancellation request to corporate. I stayed on the phone and he said he completed that and I should hear from corporate within 2-3 hrs. Of course I did not, so called the store again that afternoon & spoke to a girl (I believe her name was Leann) who said she was 'manager of bedding' and would I 'please give her the chance to make it right instead of canceling?' So, I said sure as ultimately we wanted the mattresses not the hassle. She was supposed to call me back that day, never did. Next day I called again, asked for Alveno, he 'wasn't available' conveniently. A guy named 'Todd' said I needed to call corporate and gave me the number. I called the corporate number and spoke to a very nice girl named Christy who said she was going to try to take care of it and would call me back before close of business that day. She sadly did not, so I called again just before close of business & spoke to another nice young lady named Crystal who said unfortunately there was no one from 'cancelation team' available but put all the notes into my account for me to call Saturday. I asked if my cancellation was started from when Alveno entered it two days before & she said no one cancelled it. I clarified that he didn't enter it and she said she was sorry that I was told something that was untrue. I called back to the store & a guy answered, I asked who I was speaking to & miraculously it was Alveno. I asked Alveno why he didn't enter it and he hung up on me after being extremely rude & saying 'are you done?' So...I called this morning (Saturday) was transferred to cancellation team. But a girl (not friendly) answered & said no one is available from cancellation team & she was now entering my cancellation request & a cancellation team member would call me within an hour. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! They have my money, I have no items & they do not care & are extremely rude & will lie to you so they don't have to deal with you. Very slimy sales tactics. This is really worst experience of my life where I am stuck with half bed since they are not delivering the rest of bed, I can not cancel my order without pay 10% even though as per their policy I can cancel if stuff is not delivered and today i got calls from manager'S now they say 20% cancellation fee, maybe tomorrow it will be 30% who knows they are making their own Laws. I don't think it fair because they are not complying of what they told me and now they refuse to help. When I went to store for price match with Ashley.com Manager simply refused to do so even though some online stuff was in stock and as per their policy it should be in stock. I am ok with that also but biggest Lie is they promised me to transfer my payments to Ashley credit card which has 72 months 0% APR finance but again I am stuck with different credit which have 34% APR and they SAID WE CANNOT HELP YOU WITH THAT EITHER. When you enter the store they promise to give you every deal you want all finance option even asked me to return my COSTCO mattress for 2K mattress from Ashley because i can finance with ASHLEY credit card but once you step out of store with furniture bought then they will not help you with anything. If I was just rating the in store shopping experience it would have been much higher, rep was knowledgeable and friendly... or so I thought. Being that these are COVID days and I know logistics worldwide is stretched it was important to me to find a furniture store that could deliver to our new house quickly. The rep showed is a master bedroom set and mattress that both my wife and I liked and assured us that everything was in stock in the local warehouse and only delay would be because free install that they offer was backed up. This was a lie. First delivery showed up to our empty house a week later with damaged bedframe, no mirror or most importantly a mattress. Bed rails came out of damaged box that looked to me like a forklift had run it's forks through the box. Crew said they had another on the truck but I couldn't have it since it was going to someone else. Proposed solution was another crew would come out and install replacement, ok. Well they didn't have a replacement they tell me later and they'd have to ship a new box to me that I could install myself or call them to come back out. Mattress, oh that should be delivered the following week... Ok my wife and I can sleep on an inflatable for a week. Week is up, oh no delivery, call and after 2 hours on hold told to call warehouse in San Marcos, warehouse says they can't do anything they just put stuff on trucks that show up and transfers me back to same number that told me to call warehouse. That CSR tells me the mattress isn't even in state but bigger problem is even if it was it wouldn't be delivered, why? Because no one from store changed it from estimated to delivery. Call sales person, he has quit Ashley, call store front desk 3 times, hung up on twice, third time rings with no answer. Go to store to demand to speak to a manager, manager is off today I should skip work and come in tomorrow. Also demonstrate that she is at phone all the time and no way she hung up or didn't answer, I must be a liar. Mirror shows up a week later, installers scratch entire bottom I assume with their exacto knife opening box, it was early morning and dark when they installed so didn't notice until they drive away. Mattress is finally scheduled to deliver supposedly next week, we'll see. I found a local independent mattress store that could deliver us a king tomorrow but Ashley would charge me 10% restocking fee for a product not even in stock or delivered per store. Still no sign of replacement rails. Maybe mattress will come, but wife and I are sleeping on floor for a month at house and never doing business with this company again. read more

Save yourself the headache and DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! The manager himself will lie to you and tell you that if anything gets damaged in the delivery process to accept it and will then be replaced but they in fact DO NOT replace anything. They just try sending techs to try and repair furniture that is supposed to be BRAND NEW. Not only do they sell you lies but will damage your home during the delivery process. We ordered couches for our new home and they damaged our doorway in the process of literally squeezing the furniture in instead of taking the cushions off and doing it carefully. They even damaged the sectional itself. All customer service does is give you the run arounds and will not resolve anything. Spent thousands of dollars just to receive a damaged sectional and have them damage our home. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!! After coming in to see a few pieces of furniture, the salesperson had asked me what they needed to do to earn my business that day. He was motivated to make some sales since it was the last day of his pay period and that should've already been a red flag. I had given them the price of a competitor (American Furniture Warehouse) that I'd already ordered from & emphasized that the most important factor was the deadline that the items had to be delivered by since I have guests visiting. They made the promise that it was able to be delivered by the deadline & possibly even a day earlier. We negotiated a total price including delivery & assembly that was significantly lower than the competitor so I went ahead and placed the order and cancelled my existing one. Now the week of the delivery/assembly is here and I reach out to Ashley's customer service line for delivery status to which they tell me that the items are backordered and estimating 15-17 weeks out. WTF? Customer service had offered me $180 credit to make things right but the damage was already done. I'd tried to call this store dozens of times these last few weeks and they never pick up their phone. Worst place ever to buy furniture. I have been waiting on my order for 7 months. They have no idea when it is going to come. They keep delaying the order. Worst thing that happened was they called me that my order was ready to be partially delivered and when I called back - first guest care agent says that everything but one item can be scheduled but she is unable to schedule delivery. UPDATE: I was finally able to get the attention of a manager. The arrangement was made for them to pickup the pieces of furnace that were left here. I was told I would be the first stop... I just got a call saying that they will be delayed, because the truck was full and they need to make room. This means, I'm not the first stop. Why can't people tell the truth anymore (smh). ****AS OF JANUARY 26 2022 and they have to my house with deliveries 12th time and they still haven't delivered me NEW UNDAMAGED FURNITURE. All of my 12 deliveries have been damaged or used item. I suggest every avoid this place since they will not refund me my money and continue to Jack me around. I have statement and recording from their delivery teams that this is common practices for the Ashley Warehouse to repackage damaged or defective items to sell as new and when the customer asks why the packaging looks to be Re-Tapped they just tell the customer it's because the item has been inspected prior to delivery *****UPDATE FOR JANUARY 29 2022 3pm***** For the 13th delivery since we bought them From Ashley furniture on September 2021 and the 2 sofas that were in the box only plastic wrapped no foam sheet covering them appeared to be the newest least damaged/stain which have minimal stains on them I went ahead and accepted them to end the madness Ashley furniture has caused me. No doubt Ashley has terrible reviews. I purchased Sofa set (2 items) from them. First they are way over priced as same items are sold way cheaper from online furniture stores ( my fault, I should have done the research before buying). They delivered ( around 8pm at night, 4 hours outside the time window they provided) and both items were damaged. One sofa has internal frame damage (broken wood inside). On the other one staples are coming out, but they will be sending in home repair ( I will see how that goes). For the frame damaged one, they sent the replacement and the delivery guy asked me to check the item INSIDE the truck, as he was well aware that it seemed USED and in pretty bad shape. So I had to refuse the delivery. Now waiting for another delivery and will update how that goes. All in all, I will suggest not to buy furniture from Ashley. Spend extra money and buy from store who sells quality furniture. UPDATE: Repair guy came by and told me that other Sofa also has damage beyond repair. I have not received the exchange for the second item yet and now have to deal with them for exchange for this sofa too. In short, 2 sofas, both are broken, and no replacement yet for one, and now starting process for replacement for the second one. STAY AWAY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. read more

My friend and I were shopping for living room furniture in preparation for our upcoming move in April 2025. This was in January. I have been a customer of Ashley since 1997. I found a living room set that I liked, but I didn't want all the pieces displayed in the showroom. I asked the associate, Gabriel, to look up my account and provide me with the price for the specific pieces I wanted. He came back with the price, and I said that I was looking and would get back later if I wanted to complete the sale. The next day, I started getting texts asking when I wanted delivery. I opted out of the text but still got phone calls and no one on the other end. I went to the store and said I did not order the furniture and I wanted the order canceled. I spoke to someone who said he was the assistant manager and my order would be canceled. On Saturday, 2/15/25, I got an email asking when did I want my living room furniture delivered. I went to the store and asked to speak to the person who handles complaints. Gabriel was there, and I asked why this order was placed when I was not moving; I said I would be back to place the order if I wanted the furniture. I went to Ashley Homestore per word of mouth. I purchased in full, a sofa & loveseat. Right at a little before 1 year manufacturer warranty, the middle section has broken. Boards have caved in leaving me with unpleasant, unusable furniture. All I wanted was some quality but affordable furniture. Ashley Homestore you have to do better.
