He yelled at me over the phone, told me that since I was unhappy about my delivery then he will refund me that charge ($50) and I can come pick up my mattresses myself. He hung up in my face. Later on that day I got a call from a different person that said he was bringing the mattresses. I received them almost a hour and a half after that. I'm happy with the mattresses thus far. I checked them upon arrival to ensure they were what I purchased. I was relieved that they decided to deliver the mattresses because after being yelled at by Andrew, I was afraid that I'd needed a male or even a police escort to be with me when I picked up my mattresses to ensure I wouldn't have any issues. I'm still speechless that a business owner would behave this way with a customer, a woman and a complete stranger. Completely out of line. My review stands as is. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business. This 1 star review is based on one person's rude and unprofessional manner. I purchased July 8th three mattresses. I needed delivery on July 21st. There is a lot of mishaps between the 21st until now on both ends. Samantha helped me once and she's was great and did her best to help. I missed her messages about delivery one night and I take responsibility for that occurrence. My work day & hours and their delivery days didn't line up for a few weeks since July 21st. Not upset about that. I communicated with different people and received conflicting information once or twice but still wasn't upset. It was annoying but not a deal breaker. I even upgraded my mattress and paid an additional $200...more of my money spent with them. I never had an issue with the owner. He's a cool guy but some of his staff needs to be schooled in customer service. After all of the delivery mishaps on both sides, customer and business, a delivery time was made for Saturday August 2nd between 2-4pm. I communicated that I'd be working that day but I could leave office for a hour in a half for lunch and meet them at my apartment so they could deliver my mattresses. I also told them that I couldn't do this after 5pm as it was too close to my clock out time of 7:15 pm. I was given a window between 2-4 with a 30 minute heads up. Prefect! I called Saturday August 3rd to confirm. I was told that the delivery driver the night before had an incident and couldn't make it in to work but that there was a sub called in that would help. I was suppose to get a call back to confirm those details between 12-1 PM but I never did. 5 PM came and went and as I told them, I could no longer leave the office until 7:15. I called at 5:29 PM to check in, no answer. They called back at 5:32 and I was busy...a mishap. At this point I'm frustrated yes but not upset. I called this morning a little before 11 am to see when the next delivery window was. A guy answered and at first he told me he couldn't see any information until he was in store. He said the store wouldn't open until noon. But he asked my name and that's when things went awry. He proceed to have an attitude with me, was very nasty in tone and proceeded to say he'd contacted me multiple times for delivery. I do not know who this individual is. It sounded as if he'd received complaints from other customers and decided to have a nasty attitude with me because of it. I was never rude to anyone, I never complained up until now, I didn't have an issue until now. To the owner, please teach your employees to have manners and to check their attitudes at the door. To call and receive that type of energy from that individual was insane considering I have not shown any aggression or frustration with anyone regarding my purchase. Life happened on both ends. I thought I was contributing to a small business in my neighborhood. I did not do so thinking I would be bullied over the phone over this purchase.

They were in and out and every item was sturdy and already being used by my family once completed. I would give them the highest rating for that wonderful and appreciative setup. Unbelievable. Had to dispute that a few times. 2. The order that came was incorrect. I did not order a table and they said it was part of the set so I have no choice. The sales rep said they were separate pieces so no that is a lie or the rep doesn't know his products 3. I call and finally convince them that it was not ordered and I would like a refund so they say ok. 4. Relieved I am thinking wait a minute. What about restocking fee? I notice that they are charging me a restocking fee. Why???? I didn't order it. I live 2 hours away so difficult to drive in. But they say, go to the store. One says I will get refunded there, but the manager says she doesn't know. I asked to be directed to billing and she says there are no numbers for them. What!?!? 3. Now I am really angry with this service and I ask to be transferred to the store and she says she can not. Wow. I used to be a fan of Licung Spaces. Now definitely not and no more recommendations for them. Living spaces - do you ignore your reviews? They are very low, hope you get your act together.

Now that they are in a nice building in a strip center, I could not believe how high the prices were. And I was very surprised at the small inventory of reclining sectionals! The staff is so friendly and informative and made me feel right at home while browsing. This is a massive showroom with sections for various kinds of furniture, from beds and mattresses to home theater and lots more. But the best part is that behind a plexiglass wall at the back of the store you can actually see the furniture being made in front of you while you shop. It's so cool they make furniture here in Austin and it's worth the trip just to see the factory at work and get a glimpse of the whole process. Looking through the showroom it was great seeing the variety of furniture available and so many different materials and textures too. Since you're right at the factory there's so much customization available and it's fun seeing all the fabric samples in different colors and types, imagining just how you'd want your finished product to look. I'm impressed with the showroom from the standpoint of high tech displays too. There's a massive screen in the home theater section that's a great place if you have a bored husband or kids, and there's even a tiny drinks cafe near the front although it was closed when I went. While I was sad to see the old location close a while back with their comical concrete couch out front with giant inflatable couch potatoes that always made me chuckle, this new location is light years ahead and a fantastic upgrade.

We encountered several ... like 8 salespeople…read morebefore Christy listened to us and resolved our problems from an initial sale where the wrong furniture was delivered and the wrong platform for a bed was sold to 2 elderly people. It was too high to climb into! Christy heard us out and looked up the order, arranged for the right box springs to be exchanged and helped us get the right recliner. Unlike ALL of the other salespeople she had no issue helping out a customer who worked with another salesperson. Once the others greeted us, heard we had worked with someone else it was hands off ... only guidance..you need to go back to the original salesperson. In this case they were at another store in another city and did not understand a customers needs to recommend the right stuff from yhe beginning. Christy saw the delivery through to the end. So if you want furniture Star has beautiful furniture. But ask for Christy...don't work with anyone else. And Star, if you are reading this review train your salespeople to help everyone and more so train them to learn what a person really needs. You have an amazing selection. But you have no clue how to sell to old people! If you want some one to come train your folks on old people , aging and furniture I have the person for you!

    BLUF: The Star Furniture Store seemed to do some deceptive commerce acts that felt like they were…read moredoing a bait and switch on us. The details are below and I have pictures and text messages to back this up. On 24 Aug 2025: Star Furniture consultant (Maria P) informed us a price on a new bed frame was good for 2 weeks and that we had time to go purchase a new mattress, then when we knew the mattress delivery date we could order the bed frame to be delivered on the same day. This baited us to call back after we purchased the mattress. Sale Price: $2669 List Price: $3669 On 28 Aug 2025: We called back to purchase the bed from and were told (By consultant Angela) the was now $4787. That was $2116 more than we were quoted 4 days prior and told the price was good for 2 weeks. Sale Price: $4787 List Price: $6587 On 1 Sep 2025: We thought it was an error. So, we called back to talk with the original consultant (Maria P) a few days later. The original consultant remembers us and said she would try to get the price down but failed to do so. This seemed to be a deceptive practice in commerce. Telling us the price was good and then encouraging us to come back later to make the final purchase, and then jacking the price up. I left a very bad feeling that we were trying to be taken advantage of. So, we ended up going to a different furniture store to purchase the bed frame. This is sad because we liked a lot of items they had for sale and may have purchased more items at the location if they hadn't done the bait switch.
