Corp will force you to go back to the store that lied to you. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY! We ordered 2 couches! And only received 1!!!!! (When our email said we would be receiving 2 couches!!!) I had to call 8 people in order to find out where my couch was and why it wasn't delivered. I was told two stories! one that it was on back order, and the other was it wasn't unloaded from shipping!!! I was LIED too and told that we would receive it on Monday (where I had to take another day off work to be home) and then I was called that the day had to be moved because a delivery truck could not make it out on Monday!!!! I have called three different Ashley stores in my area to ask if any of them have a particular sofa in their showroom (which I have seen on their website) so I could go in and se it in person. There was no answer at any of the stores after repeated calls. It was nearly 10 calls to each store over the course of a few hours. What kind of store doesn't answer their phone? read more

Excellent time at Ashley. Salesman, Frank Alonso, greeted us at the door , explained current specials, and then left us alone to browse. When we did have a question, he was available and had answers. We ended up purchasing new furniture that day. We always go to Ashley first when we need something...and we usually never have to go anywhere else. read more

I would give 0 if it was an option. We ordered 2 couches, a dining set and 2 end tables mid May. The 1 couch was on back order it set to be released June 26th... this is what the rep told u. So we agreed to wait a few extra weeks. June 26th came and went with no couch, we attempted to call for a delivery update and were told that the couch is back ordered indefinitely and the date they had was September 2021!!! We called the store and of course no answer. Went into the store and met with the manager Wally, we were extremely upset and felt as though we were lied to. Wally told us that the rep could not have told us a release date as they did not have one. I assured him we were told it would be in by June 26th. This causes a loud exchange between the manager and my husband. I asked what we can do, we have no furniture in our front room. He just kept repeating himself that his staff does not lie to get a sale, implying that I made up a date and conversation. I asked Wally if there was anything else that would get in its place since we have an empty room. He told me at this point (Early July) a lot of his stock is back ordered due to the great rates and all we have left is out of my budget. At this point I just wanted to cry I was so excited for the furniture in my new house and I am getting no where. Wally said he would call the warehouse and see the exact date it would be in and he would call me back the next day. Well the next day comes and goes... then the following..... I call the store leave a message no returned call. I call again the next day talk to someone who said Wally would call me back, no call back. Finally a week later I call and just ask them to please cancel my order! At this point I have already attempted to call the call center to do that but between hold times over 30 mins, and disconnected calls I have no where to turn. Finally I get Wally, who tells me he can get me the floor model couch, the one that everyone has been sitting on ...... but I have to hire and pay for an outside company to pick it up and deliver it. I ask if he can get it delivered since we paid to have everything delivered and put together, he told me no and there is nothing else he can do. At this point I ask him to please cancel the couch I want my money back. He tells me he will have someone from refunds call me back to set it up. Guess What!! No one calls back!!! 2 days letter I call and another associate who tells me he sees the refund order but it was not processed I should have the refund in 7-10 days. Today is 8/27/2020 I still do not have a refund. After calling the store 3 times with no answer, and calling customer service 2 times with wait times over 25 mins I am told there is a credit sitting on my file. I asked why it has not been processed, I am told well the store needs to process it and verify the credit card number and that has not been done! I asked for a refund back on 7/25/2020!!! While I am verifying things with this rep.... I get hung up on! How can a company do business like this? Why is there no communication, and why is it right for a store manager to raise his voice and belittle me in front of my kids. I will NEVER do business with Ashley again, I would say just not this location but the fact that the customer service is so disorganized my business will be going else where. Coming from a customer service background for the past 15 years I do not know how Wally became a store manager. He is completely unprofessional. I know we all have a choice on where to spend out hard earned money, and my recommendation is anywhere but Ashley's. I do not usually do reviews and when I do on the rare occasion they are to sing praise. This has me so upset that I need to share it with everyone else so hopefully I can help others avoid this spider web. Just to let you know we are also considering having all the furniture that was delivered picked up and we will REQUIRE a full refund immediately. We have held up our part of the bargain and time and time again we are the ones that are getting screwed. I have 2 co-workers that have recently purchased new homes and asked my opinion on where to get nice furniture and I had to tell them to avoid Ashley Furniture at any cost. I just had a TERRIBLE experience with their home delivery. I live in an apartment building in Chicago and have restricted elevator usage. I am given a two hour window to have any large deliveries brought up. I know that is short, but it's an older building with one property manager who isn't onsite during the day. He physically waits the two hours if requested. When I first ordered my item I specifically told the sales assistant who I was working with about my dilemma. She assured me they would note it and they would make it happen. I also was told to call their hotline and once again remind them a few days before delivery. Delivery was set for today, Monday between 2-4PM. I called the Saturday before to ensure my 2-4PM delivery time was noted. I was assured once again it was and they would make it happen. I was told to call Monday morning to once more remind them. I called this morning at 8:30AM and was told that they see my note, I will have my item between 2-4. I take a half day off work to be home to receive them. By 3PM my super calls and says he's been waiting an hour, are they coming? I tell him they should be arriving soon. By 3:15PM no one has showed up and I get a call from dispatch saying the delivery wouldn't arrive until 6PM. Huh?? I tell her there's a mistake there should be a note on my file stating I have to have them come at the latest 4PM. She has no note. I tell her about my call this morning. She has no record of that. I call the hotline I spoke with this morning and they too have no record of my call this morning. How is that possible?! They connect me with this store and the store manager gets on, Wally. I am very upset as I have now missed work and my super will be leaving at 4. I tell him I have told multiple people on multiple days I have an elevator restriction. He tells me they can't guarantee anything. It's up to me if I want to cancel or not. Cancel?? I loved the item I was getting. How about instead you tell me you're going to get on the phone with the truck and get them routed to me immediately. How about you ask if it can be delivered first thing tomorrow? A discount possibly? How about you do SOMETHING except ask me if I want to cancel. YOU put the idea in my head so that is what I did. I cancelled the order because I refuse to work with a company that gives up so easily. There were plenty of other options to use. I understand a 2 hour window is very very difficult, but for someone who has been vocal about it to multiple people on multiple days you put in a little more effort than asking if I want to cancel. If you map out the routes each day, why not take into consideration the elevator restriction deliveries and factor those in a bit more to keep your business. read more

I would give this store 0 stars if it would let me. Worst customer service of my life. Lana and Rose could careless if you ever received your furniture and only cared about the money. I know all stores are back ordered on furniture and was promised from Lana complete transparency about this. She lied straight to my face numerous times. I was told I would have unlimited deliveries due to their back orders and I would know which furniture would be delivered by the following week after I ordered. After 3 weeks of unanswered e-mails and attempted phone calls inquiring about my furniture delivery, I went into the store and was told NONE of my furniture was now going to be delivered because they didn't schedule any deliveries for me. I then canceled my order and was told "you're not going to find any furniture anywhere else that will be delivered." I am getting all the furniture I wanted delivered in a week from other stores. I have left four voice messages over the past two weeks, tried online chat and it stays at "trying to find an agent to help' and never a response, I was on hold for 40minutes today and the service agent (Kimberly) was absolutely no help and I could barely hear her after asking her several times to speak up, have called multiple times and sit on hold for 40 minutes each time and then ultimately leave a message after listening to your recorded message every 30 seconds. I have called the store closest to me and they will not help as my purchase was online. Absolutely no help in every possible way I have tried to reach someone ! This is the worse experience I have ever had purchasing furniture and I will never shop here again or refer anyone, 100% horrible! When I purchased my furniture on 4/16/2020, it was prompted to pick a delivery date from the options given to me at checkout, I chose May 16th (Saturday, as I am an essential worker, nurse, in the hospital and not available during the week). I received an email my furniture would be delivered 5/19 with a window between 1;30-4;30pm, no explanation. What happened to 5/16?? I had to make special circumstances and leave work early to be here. Today at work at 11am I received a called from the delivery my furniture was there and wanted to know why I wasn't there to accept. I explained my delivery window was 1;30-4;30p and I wasn't going to be there before then. He told me that wouldn't work. Excuse me? First my delivery date was changed without any notification and then they were there 2.5hrs before my delivery window and "that wasn't going to work"? REALLY?? They did come back at 1;30pm, which I had arrived from work exactly on time. My furniture was delivered AND missing the chair. I called and was able to speak with Kimberly (absolutely incompetent) after 40 minutes on hold. Again, I could barely hear her and asked her several times to speak up and she did nothing to change it. She informed me the chair would be delivered on 5/22...what??!! She said they called me yesterday, which I NEVER received a call or VM. I told her that I was leaving for out of town on 5/21 and would not be available and asked if I could schedule another date. The next date was 6/7 and only IF the chair was available. Another EXCUSE ME? The chair was going to be delivered on 5/22 and now on 6/7 IF available? That doesn't make sense...why would it not be available on 6/7 if you were going to deliver it on 5/22??? I was getting nowhere with Kimberly and asked to speak with someone above her as she was obviously unable to help me. She explained she couldn't transfer my call, really? Her phone didn't have the capability, she was incompetent and didn't know how?? I asked her to then to go find someone to bring to her phone that could assist me and escalate this situation. She said she couldn't get anyone, really??? Why, she is unable to find anyone? Needless to say, after 19 minutes on the phone with Kimberly I got absolutely nowhere and I am still without the chair I ordered and paid for on 4/16, if the chair was even available to deliver. I again tried every number and could only wait on hold, leave a message For a return message within 72hrs (which would never happen as I have already left four messages with absolutely no response) or get the same "trying to reach an agent" on chat that never gets an agent to help. I even called our Naperville office and was told they could do nothing for me as it was an online order, REALLY??!! Here I sit, paid for a chair I don't know if I will ever received and unable to actually reach anyone that is competent to actually assist me. Poor, POOR customer service, and that is being nice!! From my experience so far, I will not receive a response to this email or the two VMs I left about 2pm and 3pm earlier today. read more

I just want to begin by saying I don't like to leave negative reviews. It always makes me feel like a brat, but sometimes I feel like by leaving a review like this, I'll be helping out a fellow human. Please, please, please do not give this place your business. I walked into the store extremely excited, as a young adult this was my first furniture purchase. I was in the market for a sectional sofa. It had been a long stressful road and when I finally came across the Jessa Place Sectional online at $1049, I though geeze that's what I was looking for. I like to feel like I'm getting the best price when I make a purchase this big, but this wasn't the case. Walked into the store, and asked for Jose, who was the person I spoke to over the phone. HE was extremely helpful, this guy does his job and genuinely wants to help. I wish he worked for a different company. He answered all of my questions and really made me feel comfortable. Wally the store manager also jumped in and he was extremely nice as well. They were the better part of this whole awful ordeal. I proceeded and purchase the Jessa set, I was thrilled. Delivery was scheduled for Black Friday(5 days after placing my order). It arrived and the larger piece was a no fit so I refused it. The left facing chase was damaged, and because I was so desperate for my couches I accepted it and scheduled an appointment with the technician to come repair it. That morning I noticed the price drop to $699. I thought it's been 6 days since I purchased it, and less than 24 hours since its been delivered, they'll have no problem price adjusting. I was wrong, Sam, the store manager told me they couldn't do that. Which is bs to me, ArtVan does it right(30 day price match/adjustment guarantee). I returned to the store to pick out my replacement for the no fit piece, I ordered a right facing chase. Which I was told would be delivered Thursday December 1. I made schedule changes to be sure someone would be home to receive the piece. I was reimbursed like $100 of difference between the large piece and chase. At this time, after struggling I also made a bedroom set purchase. And Sam(store manager) told me he was giving me the "best price". I walked away from the store happy I bought a bedroom set but still extremely disappointed on the price adjustment issue. That following Wednesday came, and I was supposed to receive a call 48 hours prior to my scheduled delivery date(which would have been that previous Tuesday). I called several times and finally was told, oh your delivery is scheduled for the 14th!!! I was like what? And the lady said, due to Black Friday, availability changed. I was furious. 1. I did not pay Black Friday price($699) and 2. I was told it would be delivered Dec. 1st. After realizing how angry I was she said my salesman might have made a mistake and she would have him call me. Call never came. I called several times to speak to a manager and was told a. He's busy right now, b. He's not in today or c. He'll call you back. Finally after never hearing back from him I made a trip to the store, and basically expressed my frustration and disappointment in them. He was apologetic of course and gave us a $100 gift card to their store no less. He said I can guarantee you we will try our best to get you that piece by the 14th of course, but if earlier is possible we will make you a priority. Basically nothing was resolved for me. I cancelled my bedroom set order and bought one at ArtVan down the street for an unbeatable price. Due to Ashley not providing good service and not price adjusting, they lost a big sale to ArtVan. 4 trips to the store, numerous phone calls, and 3 weeks after my original purchase date, I still don't have a full set of couches. Ashley only cares about you when you walk in the store. Once they have your money, you're not a priority to them anymore. I regret shopping here and I will NEVER do it again. I also will make sure I spread the word to everyone I know. I gain nothing from writing this review, I hope all of you out there considering Ashley make smarter decisions than me. Ashley furniture sent me an email after my complaint on furniture on yelp. I am sent an email asking to give them more info I wrote a letter over 1 month ago with what happened on my 6 phone calls as others have mentioned on other reviews they also get no return calls letters or emails. I will be lucky if my couch last 3 yrs. My last couch I bought 13 yrs ago gave to my daughter when I downsized this yr and it is still like new what a difference dont go to Ashley furniture unless you think you can replace furniture every cple of yrs. Customer service stinks and all answered by call centers. Next time i will make sure to read all reviews when i need to replace this couch to see where else i can go it wont be ashley read more

Unfortunately I have to give Ashley Furniture one star. My fiance and I were shopping around for new living room furniture for a few weeks and had been to several places. We decided on Ashley Furniture because they had a great package deal with a sofa, love seat, floor lamp, 2 table lamps, floor rug, coffee table, 2 matching end tables, and a blanket for one low price. We know Ashley furniture would be 'starter' furniture for us since it is not the best quality but it was good for us for now. The salespeople we saw were all very helpful ( we were there several times before we decided on our set ). The set up of the store is nice with a great layout that helps you envision the furniture with different set ups. They also have a very good selection since the show room is quite large and open. But it was when everything was delivered that our service became horrendous. The delivery guys were professional and on time although we were told in the store by 2 different salespeople that set up was included in the delivery cost. This is not entirely true; they set the furniture how you want it in the room but the lamps you have to unbox, put together, and setup. You are also required to dispose of the boxes. This would have been fine IF we were told this! As I was putting the lamps together I realized our floor lamp came with no instructions nor the hardware to put it together! I had to call a customer service line out of state and they sent me the instructions and hardware in the mail. It took about 2 weeks to arrive so we had one large box in the living room and no light. After I dealt with customer care about the lamp I unpacked our floor rug. It was packaged correctly but when I opened it up, it was the incorrect rug! I called the store and they realized it was their mistake since the delivery guys had brought us the wrong rug. I get a phone call later that day from the store informing me that the rug we ordered will not be available for another 3 weeks! I asked to speak to a manager at that point. He miraculously found a rug in the warehouse and said it would be delivered next week. I received the rug today and it is the correct one although it seems that they may have given me the floor sample from the showroom. It clearly has marks from where a coffee table had been. I am so disappointed and frustrated. I was expecting a brand new rug and I know there is no way to prove that this is the floor model but I am pretty sure! Ashley Furniture did offer us a $50 gift card since they felt bad about everything but what good is that? We can't use that towards our bill and there is nothing in the showroom we can spend only $50 on. We would end up spending more money there and there is no way they are getting another cent of our money! read more

Furniture delivered today. The delivery drivers called early this morning to let us know the time frame and when they ran into a snafu, they called again to let us know there would be a slight delay...wow!! We also asked them to call,rather than ringing our doorbell...the dogs were amped up enough with all the activity . The delivery guys put down some mats to protect our floors and donned shoe covers (really appreciated,but, seriously, we have two big dogs...not at all required,but VERY thoughtful!!). They set up the new furniture and were back on the road in a short time. I love when a company respects our time and our home...thank you!! read more

Wow.....I can't believe how my boyfriend and I were treated here. We were in the store for about 30 minutes without one person even greeting us. We walked out when we saw 3 different salespeople walk right by us and talk to older couples shopping near us. Just because we are a young couple doesn't mean we have no money to put into furniture for your commission. We are starting from nothing, so we have a lot of things to purchase. Couches, bed, tv stand, etc. I've purchased from Ashley in the past, but in another state. I had great service there, but this just puts a bad taste in my mouth. I gave these salespeople a hard time with my indecisiveness and they treated me with respect and patience. Yes, they haggle you to buy mattresses a bit (because they wholesale them) but frankly, I really want their mattresses too. After four months and still no bed, I´m going to share with you my experience with Ashley: I spent close to $4500 in two different visits... Very disappointing. We bought a bed and a mattress on 02/17. When they came to my house they broke a lamp and no one took responsibility (They just said I´m so sorry! But we are not going to pay for that!!!!) Then They installed the bed incorrectly and 3 man so far have come to our house to fix it... Nobody could and one of them broke the new piece because he forced it! So we had to order another one.... My wife and I were so frustrated that we even called the store to make an exchange for a power bed, which is more expensive (and we had pay even more money)...and they refused!!!! Soo.. We are still here with no bed (BROKEEN!!) , and $4500 less in the bank. Also we bought a mattress protector. They told us we could get another two for free, one per year, for the next two years at any time, but when we went to the store the people there said it was not true!! One for 259.99!! Lesson learned. Frank Alonso and the manager never replied to us (bed or mattress) and when we went to store the girl in the office never said we could not return a mattress protector we had bought 4 days ago. (even thought the paper said we could!!!) Currently thinking taking some legal action and looking at the options. Either money back or new bed, but we will keep working until they take responsibility for it. read more

I had mattresses lined up after the beds would be delivered and told the manger regarding the situation who promised that the beds will be there in time. Writing this review before purchasing any furniture just yet. My review is based on the sales service. The store is clean, lots of furniture, great clearance deals. I am in search of a bedroom set & possibly a couch if I find a good deal. Went in with my twin 2 yr olds, was immediately approached by a salesman. I had a question regarding a canopy bed, asked if the top part could be removed (we have a slanted ceiling & it might not fit) his reply rudely "Of course not, or it's not a canopy". Giving him the benefit of the doubt that maybe his reply sounded rude due to a heavy accent, I told him thank you we were just looking for now. So we proceed to walk thru the store, my girls getting on & off couches, etc but not being bad or anything. The whole time this guy's stalking us, I honestly couldn't tell if he was waiting for a sale or watching to make sure my girls don't break anything. Then my daughter is playing with a balloon they have at HER EYE LEVEL, he tells her "no", so I quickly shoo my girls away. About 20mins later, my girls are playing with the little plastic frames they put signs in on coffee tables, nothing they can hurt and its keeping them busy while I check out stuff. The sales guy comes over, TAKES IT from my daughter and says "No". I said "Really? They can't hurt it". He just says "No, no" ... So I tell him how rude I think he's been, and how uncomfortable he's made me and that he has no business taking something OR addressing my daughter in the 1st place, he really has no reply but is just arranging the little frames. I found a store manager & complained, explaining I had to check out the stores before I brought my husband in to get what I wanted ... HE (the store manager, Art) was very understanding and apologetic, told me when I came back he would help me directly. So for now, they get 2 stars, the manager was nice, the furniture looked decent & a reasonable price, but I've been treated much better (WITH my children in tow) at higher end and lower end stores. read more

I couldn't have asked for a better sales man! His name was frank, he did not follow us around trying to sell us stuff, but whenever we had a question he was there to help! He got us fantastic deals, and made it very simple for us. I did notice however notice that he was the only sales person that seemed interested in the guests. We knew what we wanted already by going to the Bolingbrook location. The customer service was horrendous in Bolingbrook. My family really liked the sectional Ashley was selling so we decided to take our business to Naperville...we gave Ashley another chance. We had a great experience with Mohammed. It didn't really have to do anything, but the fact he was just friendly and nice helped. The store manager was great and introduced himself and very friendly. I knew I made the right choice by coming to Naperville. I'm glad I gave my business to people who were well trained and well educated. The Bolingbrook Ashley Furniture can learn a few things. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY Had an extremely frustrating experience with Ashley store at Naperville, Illinois. I had ordered complete home furniture - living room, dining room and bedroom sets. During the sales process they informed that all the pieces will be delivered within 10 days of purchase. But then they only delivered half the pieces and some dining chairs were damaged. For the bedroom, they delivered the bed set but they didn't deliver the headboard and hence couldn't assemble the bed. So they just left all the bedroom furniture unassembled. Next date they have for deliver for 20 days later. On that day they got a damaged headboard which they took back and again could assemble the bedroom furniture. For the damaged dining chairs, they sent a technician who further damaged the chair instead of fixing it. Now they gave me another date which was 15 days ahead. 2 days before the delivery, they called and said that they still don't have and can't deliver it as of now and gave another date 7 days ahead. So now it's almost been two months, they have delivered half the pieces in my bedroom which is just lying around. I haven't been able to use that room at all as it is blocked. Even the dining chairs have not been delivered yet. Been to the Naperville store multiple times and the sales people just tell you to contact the customer care. The customer care tells you to contact the store and it is a never ending loop. The assistant store manager at the Naperville store was extremely rude and didn't even want to talk about it when I tried to explain the situation. They just keep pushing you around from one department to another and no one has any answers. I haven't been to any other Ashley store and hope other Ashley stores work better but better avoid buying furniture from this store. read more

Worst customer service ever. People are full of attitude and are completely rude. When asked about water for my 3 yr old daughter they said they don't have water but only water fountains which never worked. Furniture delivery service is terrible. First time they got damaged furniture so the furniture was returned, second time they delivered badly finished furniture, again returned and third time they got furniture with factory defect . Manger did not help but instead laughed at the situation which was completely unprofessional. Will never ever go to the store again. read more

On my first visit ever to an Ashley Home Store, I was greeted at the front podium by Karen. She then became my salesperson as she slipped away from the podium to follow me while the salesperson in the waiting took her place. I didn't like the way that felt. I just wanted to walk around and browse, and then ask for help, if needed. She stayed a distance behind me - I felt like I was being stalked. She had an attitude and seemed annoyed. I got the vibe from her that I wasn't worth her time since I didn't seem like a definite buyer. She acted like she drew the short straw and wanted another turn at the podium. I was looking for a bed for my son. He just wanted a headboard. I didn't see what I specifically wanted, so I circled back to a bed frame that interested me. At that point, Karen performed well answering questions and making measurements. She still seemed annoyed. I didn't like her condescending attitude, so I left without purchasing. I returned the following weekend to look at the bed again, this time followed by Malika. I had questions that Malika couldn't answer. She asked me if I was a secret shopper. She left me to help another customer saying she'd be back soon. I had decided to make the purchase, but it was taking too long for Malika to return. No other salesperson approached me, so I left. I still want to purchase this piece of furniture, but have decided to go to another location and hopefully receive much better customer service. read more

Purchased high-end leather furniture for more than $4000.00. Power recliner did not work when delivered and they have promised for for 3 months to fix it. 4 visits and parts and still not working. Have filed complaints with BBB as well. Still not resolved... May 2012 read more
