    I heard this place wasn't good to deal with and had crappy furniture but the price was right and they seem to have good stuff.. looking ahead not even 2 years. After we were somewhat promised that this selection would be a sure thing it wouldn't get dirty it's covered under warranty blah blah blah. Well that was crap. We purchased their extended warranty which I swear our salesperson told us anytime they'd come out to clean etc. well when I actually called months later to get them cleaned I got the big run around then was told that the extended warranty would only cover certain things so we never did use that "warranty" such bullshit! I ended up getting that $$ back in December 2024 after numerous calls etc to their corporate. I bought a little furniture cleaning machine which didn't do a damn thing. It was supposedly scotchguarded and should easily clean?? HA!! Well I tried several times before buying this machine. Nothing!! Now if you could see from this pic this is 1 yr 10 months later? Do yourself favor spend a little more money and buy better furniture and you won't have this happen. We told our salesperson we had 3 dogs that get up on furniture he assured us it'd be fine- well check out the pic they're sooo not "fine" these couches look like they're 20 years old and they're not even 2. We were upfront and honest when we said our dogs are on our furniture. These have looked like this for sometime now. Don't fall for their crap their furniture is complete junk!! Next time which won't be too far away we'll get couches they will have attached back pillows so they don't get trampled down! I've taken these apart and restuffed them several times. Our dogs walk on top and smash them down. And they don't bounce back. Which again we were assured would be fine. And never ever get cream couches when you have animals!! Such a waste of money!!

    They sold us a defective coffee table, that is deformed, and refusing to replace the item or issue a refund. Then they promised us to send a technician and we waited all day and no technician never showed up. I called them and they said that the manufacturer does not warranty cosmetics, total BS! They didn't even have the courtesy to call us that they weren't goin to send a technician at all. Wastes our whole day the day after Christmas. The BBB has been informed and I am planning to take them to court over this. Never again am I buying an Ashley product!!!

    Just got furniture delivered. Our new table was damaged so I am waiting to hear from someone on when the replacement will come, so we are now without a kitchen table AND we are missing pillows that are supposed to come with the couch set we just spent thousands on. Called the store 20 times to try and get a hold of someone right away. I would have gladly called the driver/delivery guy if they provided a work phone number for him as I realized the couch pillows were missing as he was pulling off and had no way to get a hold of him. I called the store and an 866 number so many times to not have anyone pick up is absurd. Also just realized the delivery team didnt connect the chais to the loveseat before leaving. Awful experience.

    I was so excited to receive my bedroom set... which I spent a lot of money on. Upon arrival one of the main pieces broke. They said that they will order me a new one. Okay I understand accidents happen! Then after they left and assembled everything I noticed this on one of the drawers of the dresser. It looks like the piece broke off and someone tried to glue it back together. This is extremely upsetting to me that someone at the company would let a customer receive an item like this. This is very dishonest and sneaky in my opinion... acting like I would not notice that. I will never be purchasing from Ashley furniture ever again. Extremely disappointed. Update: they offered me 5% off...... ridiculous. Do not purchase from this company. It is awful. Beware.

    Update 2/25...just refused piece #3,that has same problems as the original. Apparently they don't understand the concept of pre inspected. What should have been handled in a week it's now 49 days of emails, calls, going into the store and talking with the manager, I still have the original piece of garbage in my house.

My boyfriend and I came in search of a couch, and they had so many options that were decently priced too. They had a double discount of 20% off then another 20%, which was generous! They had couches of all sizes, colors, and materials. We really wanted a couch with a chaise, but they only had couches with it on the left side, which I would say is the only downside of this outlet. Also, all of the employees are SO nice. The lady that helped us was amazing. I really wish I got her name! She was talking to us about the couch we originally wanted, but she showed us different options, gave us moving websites to get the couch delivered, and helped us figure out to my boyfriend's Crate & Barrel card on his phone because he didn't have it in person. They have a huge selection of appliances in the store and in the warehouse. A great place. It makes me excited to move out! I know where I'll be coming to get a new couch.

She finds it easy to shop online and pickup at the store. The orders have always been ready for pickup and the employees helpful and friendly even when doing returns. They have an excellent selection of rugs, throw pillows and outdoor furniture cushions. The prices are very affordable and a good value for the money. When she gets tired of something it either gets shared to a relative or passed on to a charity so others can use it.

Some folks are disputing this but think about it, do you want the pilot of your plane on your trans-Pacific flight with 100 hours of flight experience?? Or do you want the person with 10,000 hours?? Speaking of pilots, the pilot light in my gas fireplace kept going out and it kept going out when outside temperatures went below 25F. That's right, it went out when you needed it most. So after firing up the pilot light manually for seemingly over two Winters, I said to myself, this is insanity. So I used Yelp to conduct a comparative analysis and called four fireplace companies. Here were the outcomes of those calls: - one company does not fix gas fireplaces. - the second company made me leave a message and it took the guy like 3 days to call back and he had an attitude like he was disgruntled from the get-go (meaning from the onset). - the third company wanted to charge a service call for diagnosing the problem and couldn't comment on the overall costs. - the fourth company was Hearth & Home and Pat (who turned out to be the owner) was a straight shooter (meaning forthcoming with details). Pat asked the year, make, model, serial number of my gas fireplace. He listened to me about my fireplace's symptoms and gave me a likely diagnosis and projected costs of the part and service. I had a very good feeling about his Integrity and thought the cost was reasonable. The appointment was booked and weeks later, Mike came as scheduled. Mike has 10 years experience and although he huffed and puffed here and there while fixing it, I had no doubt that with his expertise (10,000 hours) we would be up and running in no time. And that's what happened, my fireplace got fixed, within budget and right in time for me to make it to the Yelpies event last week!! Thank you Pat, Mike and H&H for this professional experience. Otherwise I would have missed that great event by Kesha and Celeste!!

    My biggest issue with Ashley was the lack of customer service. From purchasing the furniture I…read moreordered and not including everything as discussed to the delivery guys not providing "white glove" service, it's not an experience I would like to repeat any time soon. First, I asked the salesman if the order I placed could include felt cushions for the legs of the couch due to the floor in my home being very sensitive and easily scratched. The salesman obliged, but when the delivery team showed up, they told me they had never heard of Ashley offering felt cushions for any furniture. Only after repeated calls to the Homestore did I finally get through to someone that told me the cushions are available but that I would have to pick them up myself. Mind you, I don't live close to the HomeStore. Then when the delivery guys were setting up the couch, I asked them to move it a few inches to one side of the room because the path behind the couch was too narrow, and they said they wouldn't move it once it was already placed on the ground. So much for "white glove" service. When customer services contacted me to check how the delivery went, I informed them of these issues, to which they said they would look into it and get back to me, but I have still have not been contacted by them since. One star for the quality of furniture and delivering furniture as scheduled.

    I had a very disappointing experience at Wannamaker's and will not be returning. After spending…read moreover $400 on an olive tree, soil, and planter, I discovered an infestation that began shortly after purchase. When I went back to the store for help, they were completely unhelpful and unwilling to offer a refund or even store credit. Instead, they tried to sell me a $10 bottle of soap that they admitted may or may not work. Beyond that, there was no real guidance, advice, or effort to help resolve the issue. For a specialty nursery with premium pricing, I expected far more expertise and customer care. I strongly believe in supporting small businesses over big box stores, but this place was a complete disappointment. Between the high prices and lack of support, the value just isn't there. I will be finding a new nursery in the spring and highly recommend others look elsewhere as well. If you're looking for quality plants, knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices, and customer care, Wannamaker's is not it.

At every interaction, we've *never* had a bad or unpleasant experience there. I read with dismay the several posts here that recount other's experiences. Not having been there with those other Commentors, I certainly can't / won't comment on what they experienced. But I do note a common denominator, folks: many of these tales include, in some way, aspects of "Caveat Emptor". Wannamaker's is a large-ish store, and from shopping there a lot, I note that many Shoppers go there as almost a "field trip" - e.g. not often, and they probably are caught-up in the joy of a store that has literally *Everything* you might want, garden-related. Thus, I posit, they overbuy, and let their Spidey senses down. Perhaps by not counting the number of shoots in a flat, or expecting (and perhaps not documenting) their plantings against a possible future Health claim. As a Disinterested Observer, the store is consistently pretty busy, with complex sales, and have NEVER been staffed to support an Investigative Staff to assist their Customers. These are, really, basic Customer Skills you need to possess (or groom!), ESPECIALLY when living under the fat greasy thumb of His Puissant Orangeness and his Clown Show administration. Trust but Verify. Consider the flip-side here, though: Wannamaker's is a Specialty Store. Sure, they command higher pricing than Wal Mart, because everyone in there is a Professional in their field. They've seen it and done it and planted it. And, regarding Product, if you want it, they probably have it, or can order it for you. I cannot recall in the past decade ever being at Wannamaker's and leaving without what I came for. To me, that justifies the pricing delta. I convey my displeasure by withholding one Star. An Educated Consumer is their Target Customer. After the Sale, it's your Documentation that counts, and - quite possibly - your attitude when seeking whatever restitution your situation demands. Again, I'm not throwing-down at the several posters here who have had negative experiences. I wasn't with you, and I don't know. I'm sorry for your poor experience. But I've never had a bad experience at Wannamaker's, and I always try to support my local brick and mortar businesses!
