If i could give Ashley Furniture no stars i would. We spent $4,000 on a bed frame, matress & box springs in May 2023. Come November 2023 the pegs are coming off the bed frame and the side rail is falling off. I called to have someone come fix / replace the bed frame and they're saying because i moved 4 months ago they're denying my claim. We moved with professional movers and did not take apart the bed frame. We moved in July of 2023 so for 4 months after the move the bed was perfectly fine. This is a 6 month old bed that's falling apart. I will never shop here again and i encourage everyone to find another place to get your furniture. You'll be over charged and left with faulty furniture and no customer service help at Ashley Furniture. read more

BUYERS BE CAREFUL!!!!! Horrible experience with Ashley Furniture Store! I spend $25,057.73 and I had nothing but problems. Those all other reviews about having a bad experience with delivery and the quality of their furniture are all real!! Now, my furniture was delivered on August 9, 2023. I ordered the following:- 1.) Queen bedroom set (two night stands, dresser with mirror, bed frame) 2.) King bedroom set (two night stands, dresser with mirror, bed frame and five drawer chest) 3.) Living room sofa , love seat, two end tables along with a cocktail table) 4.) One round table 5.) Six side chairs for the round table 6.) One side chair in addition to the six chair for the round table 7.) Two leather three-seater power recliners 8.) Two leather single seat power recliner Problems: 08/9/23 1.) The king bed was delivered without box spring support, I was told by the delivery team someone would reach out and come and deliver the support. Next week the the delivery team came out with the support planks and did not bring the legs to support the planks. They said "oh we were told that the legs were here and just bring the planks..amigo just call warehouse they will set it" I called the customer service and till this date 08/23 I am waiting for the legs" 2.) The love seat was brought into my living room and it was damaged, I told the delivery team to take it back since it was damaged, and this was the response " amigo, the tech will come and fix it ..its okay" I said "how can you fix this damage, please take it back and send me a new one". I was delivered a new loveseat the following week but with the wrong 3.) When they brought the leather 3 seater recliner sofa, they could not attach the sofa together since the piece was damaged. They asked for a wrench from me which I did not have, so they told me a tech will come out to fix the problem. I called customer service and told them about the problem and they said "someone will call and schedule an appointment to come and fix it" On 08/10 I called Lana and she said she is working on it with her manager to fix this issue. 08/11, I called customer service to see when will they come out, and they asked my to send a picture of the couch said someone will call me . 08/14 I called customer service and told them about the issues, they said they have no records regarding the leather sofa, and now they will create a ticket. 08/16 I called Lana, no update, I called customer service, they said "oh we need to order a part and once you get the part, call us and then we will schedule a tech visit" from 08/16 - 08/23 no communication from Ashley. I called 08/17, 08/18, 08/21, 08/22 each time they would say a tech will call back to schedule a visit, NO ONE CALLED! Then I got a text message on 8/23/23 "we need to order some replacement parts to get these connected. When you receive the parts let us know and we will send a tech." at this point I lost my mind and texted back saying I had received the parts 08/16 and I have been calling to get an appt. 08/23, STILL NO UPDATE! read more

Ashley furniture delivers broken and damaged furniture and expects you to keep it and pay for it. I purchased my furniture June 2021 they did not deliver on time then kept telling me dates they were going to deliver and not show up or call to reschedule I had to keep calling them to get delivery rescheduled. They finally delivered my furniture in October 2021 and when the delivery guys took it out the boxes the nightstand was visibly broken, leaning off the frame, and drawers wouldn't close fully. My bed frame was slashed/cut on the rails, hole/torn on the headboard and back of head board coming apart. The delivery guys told me they could leave the furniture and called dispatch to order the replacement furniture. This is where the nightmare began. Ashley expected me to pay full monthly payments to their financing company Genesis for broken furniture; when I let Genesis know what was going on we agreed upon a partial payment until my replacement furniture was delivered. I waited two months and no delivery so I went up to the store in Naperville in December because these clowns never answer the phone over there and they don't answer intentionally because it is NEVER busy in there, now I know it is part of their game to not take responsibility for bad service and products. I had to show them the videos and pictures I had and send several emails to get them to assist in the issue my furniture was scheduled to be replaced on February 18, 2022. In the mean time the finance company was putting in disputes with Ashley because they tried to call full payments due on broken furniture and I wasn't agreeing to that and then Ashley thought they were going to start playing with my credit score and I opened up a dispute with all credit reports as well they are dishonest crooks. My furniture never came on the 18th I had to go back up there when I got off work and already dead tired because these clowns won't answer the phone EVER. When I went up there found out the two elderly ladies working in the office quit in January they had no office help: excuse for no phone being answered (what was excuse prior to) and had a new guy but he wasn't there. I went back a couple of days later was told it would be rescheduled to March 18th. Of course March 18th came around no show, no call, no confirmation call or text, no cal to reschedule delivery. Went back up there next day 19th talks to new office guy. We agreed upon just replacing the night stand because it was the only thing that came in and at this point almost a year later since purchasing I told them just discount the bed I will keep it "as is" because my lease is up in June and I'm not going to fight them from another location you won't deliver the furniture down the street. He told me fine and they would discount the bed; I asked for half off for it being damaged and the mental anguish and suffering they have caused and for them to call the finance company and tell them we had agreed to partial payments up until replacement furniture is delivered. Of course they never did what they agreed upon. My night stand was delivered two weeks ago. Three days after it was delivered the plug and the usb plugs built in stopped working and they never gave me credit for the bed. I called Genesis to complain again and let them know the nightstand is broken and they opened another dispute and told me Ashley never returns their calls or inquiries so they have to close my disputes and charge me full price because they won't respond. I am beyond sick of Ashley Furniture and their poor piss service and low quality furniture. I am also filing a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General today. I'm not paying for broken furniture and you don't do anything about it. I also called Corporate Customer Service number and they tried to put me on hold and call the Naperville Store they assured me Naperville Store would answer their call I told them doubt it and was right. Don't buy anything at Ashley home store we ordered nine pieces of furniture that were guaranteed to be delivered on October 1 and we are still waiting. After numerous attempts to have items that were guaranteed to be delivered... The full order has still yet to be completed. To top it off we had one of our sofas that had obviously been dropped in the warehouse with an area of damage to it That is not obvious when you look at the furniture but still there. We called and they indicated that in the fine print it states that you have 72 hours to make this type of exchange. My husband and I did our research before we went to the store to make a purchase. After visiting the store multiple times, we settled on a new bed frame, a new mattress, and 2 nightstands. The salesman who got our order together went through and added all the bells and whistles that they push onto customers, but we walked out feeling good that our things would be delivered and assembled in a few weeks. The day of delivery, the first thing the delivery men told us was that the salesman screwed up. For our platform bed, he didn't include any slats on the order, so they couldn't put anything together (so part of what we paid was useless). When we called the store, the salesman told us "usually those are included" like it was our fault they didn't get delivered. The delivery guys said it sounded like BS. After asking that he make HIS mistake right, he claimed not only that we had to come pick the missing parts up ourselves, but also that we had to wait two weeks. We made due, but then today, after calling to confirm that we could get our things today, my husband showed up and the same salesman "forgot" that the distribution center isn't open today, so now we have to come back tomorrow, AND, he still made us pay extra for the slats that he was supposed to include. We have never shopped at Ashley until now, and after this lack of competence and then failure to try and right the situation with any customer service, we won't be back and hopefully, neither will family or friends. Update: The third repair man in 6 months came to install a part on our defective love seat that we bought In February. When he arrived he looked at the part and told us that it would not correct the problem. He said that another part would need to be ordered. What? We now have had 3 repair men order three different parts in the last 6 months. I asked for a replacement love seat and he said that Ashley's policy is not to replace but to repair even if they delivered a defective piece of furniture. I have called customer service numerous times and only get a script about Ashley's policies. No customer service whatsoever. I now have a defective love seat, three big boxes of parts that the repairman can't take back (policy) and customer service department that is totally ineffective. This is the first poor review I have ever posted - We had significant issues with a previous order that we purchased from the Homestore in Naperville, IL but after exhausting other options, we decided to try Ashley one more time. Big mistake. We were quoted an 8-16 week lead time for our table and chairs, it took 8 months. My sales rep was non-existent unless I reached out to her and the only updates I received were to tell me my order was available for delivery, only have them not show up for the scheduled delivery FOUR times! Claiming they hadn't received the product in yet, except for the one time that they said they decided to fulfil someone else's order with the product that was reserved for me. Their explanation. One of the chairs arrived broken, but I didn't notice until the next day. I contacted the Homestore I purchased from, but they told me they couldn't help and that I needed to contact customer service. CS told me to contact the warranty company and they told me to contact the manufacturer. After 11 calls, I was finally given a case number and I received a text asking for pictures stating "I am only here for 10 more minutes, then I am off for a couple days". Flash forward 3 months, a dozen phone calls and a missed repair order that was scheduled for today, I received phone call that said they would not be coming and they would send me a piece (wrong piece, not what's broken) that will arrive in "weeks to months, who knows" and I can call for repair then. I contacted the store again and finally got in touch with the GM, who is as unprofessional as they come. I asked for help, he denied, "not my concern, I'm in sales". I asked for a refund on the SCAM warranty, he again denied. I asked why he has never returned a single one of my phone calls and he replied, "I'm too popular to deal with a just a single person". As mentioned we would share an update. Over the phone we were told that the issues with our original order was that it was assembled before delivery and they might have done that in a rush. So with the next delivery of the replacements they would only do that at our place and all would be fine. For us the worst was we had to prepare for the replacement. All drawers empty and clothes out, so one big mess. Delivery guys came out and started to unload the truck. One of the guys mentioned that the dresser was missing as it was on backorder. That meant we emptied that whole thing out for nothing. Nobody from Ashley informed us about that when scheduling the delivery and when talking to the scheduling department they informed us that it was not their task, should have been done by the local shop. That's great customer service, not! When they opened the first box of what they did had, it had exact the same issues as the ones we had. Us asking about the assembly story got some big question marks as they told us all comes already put together from Vietnam. So they loaded all back into the truck and head off. Owh and if we had some tape for them to repack the returns and if we also could give them some bottles of water as they were thirsty??? So far for our thousand of dollars purchase of Ashley Signature products. No new delivery is scheduled as they can't guarantee the same issue with the furniture is then solved. Ashley now remains quite and the so good sales people when we showed our money turn out to be good hiders when you have problems. The company is too large to care about single customers and their issues. As long as they keep smiling and offering the best deals to everyone there will always be people walking in and purchasing their goods. Why would they care about customers spending their hard earned dollars, they will make their bonuses and sales targets and go to sleep with a smile. Anyone who is planning to buy anything from Ashley store, please make sure you are ok with 6-7 months delivery time, deliveries of furniture in 5-6 different times (risk of COVID exposure), manufacturing defect on the product without no quality check, missing items from your order which you have paid (even it shows on the copy of order you received from the sales person), long waiting time or no response from customer service, back and forth with no resolution of your problem. If you are ok with all of these, go ahead buy it. To be honest, why not just buy furniture from IKEA, you can get the whole piece furniture in one delivery or real-time, return without dealing with terrible customer services, pay for what you bought and no missing items. Purchasing process was relatively easy. Unfortunately, after the sale we realized the price was better online. I attempted to call several times and left two messages, but never received a reply or a response. The next day when I called, again, I was told that rather than being able to simply provide a match, I had to come into the store where I was told I had to wait and speak to my previous sales person who was in the middle of a sale, even though several sales people were circulating and looking for customers to serve. Currently standing at the customer service desk and waiting for help now for 15 min when I was acknowledged by my sales person. ... 30 minutes now and still waiting to be helped ... 40 minutes .... Finally being helped. 50 minutes to do the price match because everything must be meticulously documented and the sales team is fearful of losing credit for the sale. We were falsely sold an "in stock" dining room table by a sales rep here that was NOT in stock. After waiting two months for delivery the item came severely damaged. Moved here from Colorado where Ashley Furniture doesn't have locations. We were in need kitchen, Dining room, front room, living room and bedroom furniture. We decided to look around at several retailers with price really not a huge concern. Needless to say we went with Ashley for all of our furniture needs. We purchased a large sectional couch for our living room in which we were very clear with the sales associate that it will see high traffic. Less than one year later we have what you call fabric pilling that covers pretty much the entire couch. Decided to contact Ashley to file a claim as we purchased all the warranty and to no avail this is not covered as it's considered normal wear. This is very disappointing as we were clear on what we use our furniture for in our living room and $10,000 later after purchasing all of furniture from Ashley furniture they want nothing to do with our warranty. If I could give negative stars I would. This place is a complete joke. I purchased a mattress and bedroom set in July. Was told it was in stock and scheduled delivery. The day before the delivery they cancelled because it wasn't a full delivery. I told them I needed the mattress and everything available delivered even if all the furniture wasn't available. They said my original date was no longer available as they cancelled it without talking to me because it wasn't a full delivery and I had to call someone else to make it happen. The day of delivery they had even fewer pieces than what was discussed on the call. Not sure where my in stock furniture went to at this point. Last week I got a call that my furniture was in and scheduled delivery for today. No confirmation call, no follow up, nothing. I have to call to find out that all of it still isn't in, they cancelled again because it would have been a partial delivery and it all won't be in until the 7th. I'm not sure who is running this place but run and find anywhere else to buy from. They are awful. And don't ever expect to actually get your sales person on the phone once he has your sale. We bought a beautiful Vintage bedroom set, which is sturdy and looks amazing. Scooby, sales person, is great. The delivery and set up was great. I went back and purchased two lamps. They were delivered by Fedex and were broken. In the last two weeks I have sent pictures and spoken with several people in the service department. We called Ashley and they informed us that we needed to call the warranty company...so we did. They directed us back to this store since it was under the 1 year mark. After a few days of numerous phone calls that were left on hold for over 30 minutes, we finally were connected via phone to a customer service rep who said our case has been closed for a few days and this was deemed "normal wear and tear." I then asked about the return policy for the items since after 6 months this wasn't not meeting the standard we had hoped for, and I was told all sales are final. So I asked what this service representative recommend we do as a next step because we were unhappy with our purchase and she recommended we (direct quote) "stop wasting our time calling." The item we purchased was around $2,000 and gets light use--just me and my husband in the home and we both work full time...we aren't laying on it all day. TL;DR: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. My boyfriend and I placed an order about a month ago at this location, don't get me wrong the staff are nice and helpful but the delivery was beyond horrible. our delivery has been rescheduled for the FOURTH time in 2 weeks, and we've been notified by the change ON the day of delivery. For the THIRD time, we scheduled a delivery between 1-5pm for today, got a phone call this morning, can't do 1-5, so the delivery window was shifted to 2-6pm, fine. Guess what? Delivery truck showed up at 7:15pm. Note that we live in an apartment building and reservation of service elevator is required for large deliveries. The service elevator has been occupied by the time the delivery showed up, so we had reschedule AGAIN. We were told that a special delivery will be scheduled for tomorrow (on JULY 4th) and we will receive a call to confirm the delivery time in a few minutes at around 7:30pm. We waited for an hour and got no calls/text of any sort, so we called and apparently y'all decide to go home instead of calling us back. Just amazing. We wasted a full day today with your bullshit delivery service/management. And we will be looking to refund and cancel our orders because obviously you guys just CANNOT get things done. read more

The salesgirl was efficient, focused, and really helped me find the perfect leather couch and coffee table based on the information I had given her... Prices were fair, and I was lucky to buy on sale... All in all, very happy girl! The delivery guys on the other hand were rude, not helpful, and not respectful of my property. Today is September 12th and I still don't have my furniture. I have called several times and it's blamed on the manufacturer. If I had been told, I would have went to a different furniture store, so I'm sure that's why they won't tell you that. I am currently having an awful experience with Ashley. I felt comfortable at first by the customer care with the sales associates, but everything since then has been ridiculously wrong and I cannot recommend this store to anyone reading this as there has been no effort to resolve or compensate me for any of the problems I've experienced since Ashley got my money. The store promised delivery of my furniture (bed, dresser, couch, etc.) for October 1st, then reneged. I was told on the scheduled delivery date that it would be delivered today (October 9th). This caused me to live out of my box and sleep on an air mattress. Today, I called to check on delivery and was told that it was not scheduled and that the furniture is ESTIMATED to arrive at your WAREHOUSE on the 20th. It's unknown when it will be delivered to me. Having entered a contract in August, I expected everything to be taken care of. Instead I've been automatically billed twice for furniture that you all have no plans to deliver. No I will NOT recommend Ashley in the future. In summary, the only thing Ashley has done in a timely scheduled manner is to run the automatic billing of my account, but they have yet to deliver any of my furniture. Meanwhile, as of this writing I am still sleeping on an air mattress and living out of unpacked boxes while I look for a new furniture store. read more

Customer Service is terrible, the absolute worse. I was disconnected 2 times after waiting on hold for a supervisor for 40+ minutes. I am still waiting for a call back that the last person from the call center promised was going to happen. They just make you wait and make you jump through hoops and hope you eventually will give up. I am so glad I didn't purchase their extended warranty, because I can only imagine the nightmare you'd have to go through to file a claim. The furniture is nice but make you sure you throughly inspect everything very closely. If there is anything and I mean anything refuse delivery and have them deliver a new one. My table was delivered with the wrong screws over a week ago and I have an unassembled table at my house. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've always loved this store but I love it even more now! Manager Wally is sooooo helpful. Nick was the main person who helped us today and can firmly say we will come back to see both Nick and Wally. UPDATE: We were contacted by a representative who offered to reimburse us $50. We felt that was fair, so we are amending this review up to 3 stars. Thank you. * ONLY REASON for the 2 star rating is because the woman who helped us at the actual store was beyond nice, professional, and honest. - Full size bed we ordered arrived partly damaged (see photos), and was shipped from some address in Wisconsin, not the actual Ashley store. (Note: The bed itself is a cheaper model and obviously cheaply made, see the particle board make-up and material. However, we knew this ahead of time as we only needed a cheap bed for VERY occasional usage for house guests maybe once a year). - We emailed the store and attached 9 photos of the damage, which we had to fix ourselves using special screws and some wood glue. Ashley (or whichever department handles customer service, as we understand we may not even be dealing with 'Ashley' at this point) basically told us to ship the bed back on our dime (@$35.00 to ship back) and a replacement would be mailed. - No offer of free pick up, or free shipping back, or even a partial compensation for the damaged bed (we would have probably only asked for around $50 off, maybe less). Also, you are not allowed to bring the boxed items "back to the store" even if you wanted to. - At the actual store, woman who helped us was beyond nice and professional, so we cannot complain on that front, nor is she responsible for this. We appreciated her honesty by telling us if we ordered the exact bed online we would actually get it cheaper than if we bought it at the store location (because of some online special, or something), so we did that. She didn't have to tell us this info, so we appreciate her honesty and the fact that she told us about this "fine print" when she otherwise could have made commission for the sale at the actual store... All of this being said, the actual Ashley store is decent and has some nice employees. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't order from them again based on our experience. read more
