When I saw some foam pillows that looked nice and seemed soft, he said they were the ones he used. However, they didn't prove right for me at all, and they were unreturnable. Another salesman sold me a mattress which turned out to be just right. He took the time to explain a lot and be helpful. But I still need to find the right pillow. She was so kind and personable, and knowledgeable about all of the beds. She helped us save money on a cooling Columbia pillow that I added to our order, and even got our bed delivered to us the next day since we were in dire need of a bed! The 4th of July sale was going on, so we got $200 off of our mattress price, and they gave us a free rising base so we can sit up in bed and watch TV! (I think she said it normally cost $599 for the base, but they were giving them out for free with all bed purchases). My son now wants a new twin mattress because apparently he's getting a backache from the dip in his bed (he's 19...., but okay...) ;) I'll be browsing Mattress Firm's twin mattresses today to see if we can find him one there since we had such a good experience.

There are so many places to shop for and purchase furniture it can be overwhelming and confusing…read more I've driven by Penny Mustard many times and to be honest I was drawn in by both the company's name and the sign in the window advertising 93% American Made. Purchasing American is important to us and it is very difficult to find furniture that is still crafted in America, even the most recognizable name brands in home furnishings have off shored manufacturing. I'm glad we found Penny Mustard and Cathy O. She was not just friendly and professional, she listened closely to what we were looking for and guided us to the right products for multiple rooms in our new home. Hands down the quality of the furnishings is the best on the market and most are crafted, not just in America but right here in the heartland. The best part is the pieces are often custom crafted just for you and to your exact specifications. It is an investment, but the best value for the quality of craftsmanship. The outstanding customer service continued after the sale. I can confidently recommend Penny Mustard as your first stop when furniture shopping.

Tammy, We wouldn't…read morebe reaching out to American mattress if we didn't have issue with this bed. These pictures can't accurately tell you how much the difference is and it is more than inch. I have flipped this mattress around frequently from the day I purchased it. One of the reason I purchased this mattress was because of ten year warranty. How can you go off of a picture to determine if it can be replaced?!? Clearly, if my back is having issue an I have been sleeping only on this mattress the mattress has a big dent that means the mattress needs to be exchange. I expect better costumer service from American Mattress. Not only have you not sent anyone to see how bad this mattress has gotten but presume it's only less than one inch when it is more. I will be writing horrible review and reporting how you Tammy have dismissed our request and had us retake the same pictures over again and not addressed our issues nor send anyone to look at our mattress. We will never purchase again from American mattress and will make it publicized on social media regarding how bad American mattress and their costumer service has been. - Unsatisfied customer

If you're looking for resale furniture in the Chicago area, it's almost essential you visit…read moreJubilee, both their Carol Stream and Lombard locations. They have the largest selection by far, and most of what they accept is in good condition. There's always something interesting in their collection, which at any time has handmade, vintage, collectible, and other unique items alongside more conventional ones. The more desirable vintage and antique items won't be cheap, but they'll be cheaper than at a curated vintage or antique furniture shop. Jubilee isn't a thrift store, and in some cases their prices can be a bit high. Everything is final sale, so there's an element of "buyer beware," like most resale shops. They put the brand name on the price tag if it's a selling point, but not so much for cheaper brands. Once I purchased an item here, and when I got home I found the label and saw it was made in China by a low-end furniture company. I never would have paid as much had I known, so I felt a bit duped. However I still wound up going back as I never found as much furniture I liked anywhere else. And for what it's worth, the item has held up. Most of their service is provided by volunteers, who are nice, but some are more knowledgeable than others. To sum up, it's not perfect, but in a retail landscape where most new furniture is either flimsy "manufactured wood" or ultra-expensive high end brands, Jubilee helps fill an important gap for affordable quality furniture.
