The store manager is a ghost and will not interact with dissatisfied customers. They do not honor contracts and really don't care about the customer. BUYER BEWARE - If I could rate them zero stars I would. However, I had to give them at least one start. Horrendous customer service; matter of fact, I'm still waiting on a manager to return my call after a missed delivery and now they refuse to accommodate my schedule to deliver when would be convenient for me and my schedule; that's all it would have taken for them to rectify this terrible situation the consumer is in, however, all they care about is getting your MONEY and then you're no longer their concern, because guess what? There is a NO REFUND policy for purchases. Oh, but don't worry, they will only charge you 25% to take back what you don't want (because they MISSED DELIVERY and now have had my furniture for over two weeks) and then give you the rest in store credit. As if you would ever want to do business with such a dreadful company after such an immoral experience. Please spare me the 'PC response' - as I've already, on my own prompting, spoken to your customer service on two different occasions to try and get this matter resolved with no give on Ashley's end to try and accommodate the customer. Ashley's has really nice furniture although very expensive. But that's not my problem. My problem is that these guys will never give you a refund no matter what. Instead they will only give you an in-store credit. I overbought which was my own fault, but that six grand plus would sure have come in handy for other things. I purchased a sofa and love seat in July of last year over a few months the fabric started tearing. I contacted the store and after 2 hours of holding I was able to talk to someone. At that point the ordered the fabric and scheduled a time for someone to come out and repair them. When the guy came out to repair them he said that whoever ordered it ordered the wrong fabric for the sofa and he would order the correct one. He went ahead and repaired the loveseat. When he was done he left my apartment a mess, chips of wood, fabric pieces and huge staples all over my living you and dining area. He said I would be getting a call to schedule the repair of my sofa, NEVER did. After 2 months I called and they said the pieces hadn't been ordered but they would do it then. I addressed the mess he had left in my apartment and the lady told me that wouldn't happen again and apologized. A week later I received the correct fabric and setup a date and time to have it repair by them. The same guy came out to repair my sofa and AGAIN left a big mess wood chips, fabric piece and huge staples. I was not home at the time he was there to repair. When I got home I stepped on two staples and had to go to the hospital to make sure I would not be infected. The service is ridiculous and out right wrong. I never post bad reviews but this went too far, I am completely unsatisfied with everything. My order was placed over 2 months ago and I still haven't received it all. I've been given different dates and have also been told different ETA's. This is ridiculous. The customer service reps tell you the same thing every time you call....they'll call the manufacturer and then have a rep call you back and they never do. Then when they do call, they want you to take a quick survey on how likely you will recommend your family and friends to buy from Ashley! Just to preface, if I could give them zero stars I would. We went in at the beginning of May and bought a sectional. We were told it would take 2 weeks to come in. We got a phone call from customer service and that changed to 6 weeks. I went to the store and they said one piece must be pushed back but they could send two of the 3 and it would take one week to get those two. Another week went by. Still nothing. Went back to the store and the girls up front checked the system and said one piece would be ready at the end of the week and the other two would be the end of the next week. It's now the end of the next week and we got a call to schedule delivery. Called today and they said actually it was an error and they won't be ready until July. So it's gone from 2 weeks to 2 weeks for two of the pieces and 6 for the other. To none of them until July. We've been lied to non stop and can't get a straight answer from anyone. The kicker is they'll charge you a restocking fee fee if you try to cancel the order, even when your order obviously isn't in stock. Terrible customer service and terrible business practices. I'd recommend avoiding them unless you can do without your furniture for months and months and enjoy never getting definite answers. read more

I purchased furniture from this store back in May. I was told some of it was going to have a delayed delivery, but I should have the first week of June. I was okay with this, as they promised they would do everything they could to get it delivered sooner. It is now July 13th. Still no furniture, no apology, no nothing. Called last week, they told me this week. Called this week, they said maybe in a week or two. And no return policy, so I just have to wait. So unless you want to buy furniture and then forget what it looks like, if it ever does arrive. Then do not buy Ashley's cheap furniture. Apparently you get what you pay for, but with Ashley you won't get it within a reasonable period of time. read more

We bought my son a bedroom set from Ashley Furniture in Lubbock Texas. Of course they had to order the set and gave us an expected delivery date.... moving forward the delivery came and only had part of the furniture, after talking to the confirmation lady on the phone who explained the rest of the bedding could take up to 10 weeks to get, I asked the driver to load the furniture back into his truck and take it back to the store. I didn't want pieces laying in the floor for 10 weeks. I called to find out a delivery date when I was directed to the district manager, very sweet lady, she put a rush on the order and our wait time just dropped to a week and a half instead of 10.... sounds good right??? WRONG!!! So I call again on the day the order was to be in to schedule delivery.... not there..... call back ...... not there...... call the 5th day and it is there, they wont tell me if there was damage but went ahead and transferred me to scheduling. Delivery day came, and now past........ nobody came!!! Called again spoke to the rudest Manager I have ever dealt with. PAY ATTENTION HERE------ It has been over a month, we still do not have what we ordered, and I was informed that we can cancel the order but..... 25% goes to a restock fee and the rest will be an in-store credit. OH YEAH to a store I will never shop at again... Bottom line is when you sign that paper it states all sales are final.... they mean it too..... even if you don't have the product EVER, Manager was very rude and stated it made no difference to him, his store had already been paid and we would be paying one way or another for something we DO NOT EVEN HAVE!!!!!! About to have legal issues with this store. I purchased a living room set and a dining room set here. I added a bar stool and a bench to the original dining room set and they did not delivered the additional stools/chairs. Even though it's in the contract, they refused to acknowledge the contract and say that the dining room set comes with only the original amount of stools/chairs and I would have to purchase the rest even though its in the contract. Also, the table is wobbly and they still haven't fixed it. I want to return items without the 25% penalty. read more

The main reason I purchased a sofa and dresser from this store was that I was told the items could be delivered within two weeks. I told the sales person to show me what would be available for that delivery time frame. Was told no problem for the two week delivery. So I call 12 days after the order date to check on delivery, only to be told the new delivery date is not until the beginning of October. I have no recourse, because I signed the contract that states a 2-6 week delivery. My fault for trusting the sales person. Will never buy from Ashley Furniture again!!! Worst experience I've ever had with a furniture store. They delivered the three living room tables unassembled,they were supposed to be assembled,delivery guys were going to assemble but had no insructions. They took back to the warehouse to be assembled,I waited about a week then called to see about the status of the tables. They informed me they would be delivered in a couple of days. On the delivery date i received a email that the tables didn't have the assembly hardware,they would have to order the hardware. I waited another week and called to see about the status of the table hardware,and when I could expect delievery. I was then informed they never ordered the hardware, this had been going on over a month now,so I decided I wanted a refund. I went to the store on Frankford receipt in hand expecting a refund,told no refunds and the tall black man I was speaking to( no name tag visible) as rudely as could be said i would have to call customer service out of state. Needless to say you can never get your money back you have to put up with the assholes that are very nice when their taking your money and getting their commisions, but treat you like crap the minute there's a problem. Purchased dining room set+living room set two years ago (couch springs are all messed up already, Im a college student that is rarely at home so how????). Went in in may to look at a new mattress, ended up signing for a very pricy bed set+mattress deal and was promised two comforters and replacement pillows for my couches and cushions. Took a week to deliver the bed, took 3 months to deliver my pillows and comforter. The sales rep rarely returned my calls and would always tell me they were on backorder, finally told me to come in store and take the two comforters off of display. a month with the comforter and one time in the washer and the entire comforter is ruined!!! Also a huge rip off, found my bed on sale for about 30% off but they would not value it. Been here quite a few times to look at new furniture for our new home. I finally found a set that I liked online so we went in store to see it, and the prices in store were way higher than online, so I was told that I could price match. I also noticed a sign that said spend $1299 receive a free gift, so I asked if I was eligible to receive the gift and was told yes by our sales associate, Carolina. So my husband and I looked around at some barstools and bought 3 for $252. So with couches, stools and warranty we were at $1700+. As we were at the financing desk I asked when I would receive my gift (Ring doorbell), and Carolina, had to ask her manager if I could get it, and he said no because we price matched. I was really disappointed that I spent more money to only be told that I couldn't get something that I was spending the extra money on. I checked the signs that advertised the gifts and it did not say any exclusions apply. I guess they tell you anything to get a sale and screw you over in the end. read more

We got our furniture on May 26th and it was delivered damaged and they put July 18th to come and repair it. They DID NOT COME OUT AND REPAIR IT, customer service stated that it may be a few month for it to be fixed this is not acceptable!!!!!!!!!! We have the extra protection on our furniture that we spent 4000 dollars on and they damaged it when they delivered and scheduled a appointment with us and they never showed up, no phone call nothing, form all the experiences I have had I would rather of taken my money to another place. Let's start by saying that the overall looks of the store deceive the quality of service you're going to receive. I purchased a $2k sofa, went back the next week to purchase the portable battery packs so I didn't have to plug in my automatic recliners as well as purchased a nice shelf that caught my eye. Since I already had the sofa I wanted the battery packs ASAP, the salesman suggested the packs be delivered to the store and he'll give me a ring when they come in. 4 weeks went by and after nobody picking up the phone in store I decided it was time for me to do it in person. When I entered the store the salesman immediately knew he messed up when I mentioned "battery packs" even on the bill of sale it stated he would call me when they were in store and come to find out they were sitting in the warehouse STILL. So I had to arrange it's delivery MYSELF, the manager handed me their phone and told me to schedule the delivery as if nothing was wrong. The salesman merely said "sorry" and that's all he could do. After the manager avoided responsibility of his employee and avoided dealing with a legitimately upset customer he proceeded to walk away while I was on the phone fixing their problem. After I set up the delivery for the following Monday, the shelf I had ordered and waited weeks for, was delivered damaged so therefore they had to ship another and I had to wait yet again 4 more weeks. But what about those battery packs? Don't worry I didn't forget... I asked those to still be delivered. And guess what?! They were! TO ONE OF MY NEIGHBORS. They even took a picture with the packs and everything! So you know what that means? The delivery verification process is a joke! You mind as well have snail mail deliver and hope to god your neighborhood package thief isn't working that day. I had to call corporate, email them a picture of my entry way, and wouldn't you know, the picture they had was of some Tan/brown guy standing on a completely different color/pattern of flooring! HA! Yet again, I had to save myself from these guys and clear things up. So here I am, waiting for my packs, and my shelf. Still. Oh did I tell you all of this was on my birthday? Yup. It was. I did get comped $100 but it's in store credit, why on earth would I want to go back? Huh?!?! To commit Einstein's definition of insanity?! No thanks. Do yourself a favor folks. Go to ikea or rooms to go. Or if you don't have either of those in your town, garage sales or where someone died and the kids who hated their parents and is selling their stuff would be ideal to this store. Even if the sofa is haunted. It's been almost two months and I still haven't gotten a call since the original purchase date and I haven't gotten a call on my new shelf that was at first delivered damage. We have been in this place many times and have received ok service but not util I have usually scouted the entire store looking for someone. My most recent visit I walked the entire store and didn't even get acknowledged until I was heading for the door. I am a college student and they must assume I don't have money to spend. Either way they are not worth the time. I went straight from this place to Bob Mills furniture and bought 2 recliners and they gave me excellent customer service from the moment I walked in the door. I was looking for a sectional and found a perfect one at Ashley's. The salesman was very helpful and nice. I bought the sectional and had it delivered in time. I did noticed deformation on the couch, I called and they did come and put a claim in as soon as they could, they picked up the couch and repaired it successfully. The worst customer service I have experienced at any business. Ordered a pillow, wrong one showed up and it took me calling customer service multiple times for 3 weeks after that before they told me the pillow they sold me was discontinued. Manager named Michael did not seem to care at all about the issue and just gave me one excuse after another. Michael treated us horribly and left us at his desk while he tried to make multiple sales instead of helping to fix the problem. Not a recommended place to buy furniture, very used car sales style..cash price posted with "free" financing options available at higher sales price depending on how long you finance - so where's the free? Just tacking fees on up front. Then it you don't pay off on time you get stuck with 29.9% FC from day one. On top of the "free" higher priced financing option boarder line scam but I'm sure they cover their bases. Next it's been eight weeks finally shows and it the wrong color..2 pieces in the living room one still on truck - we call and they say we've accepted it its in the house- so we said its in the driveway and had truck take back. I wish I could give this location no stars. They do not communicate with in the store over issues that should be relatively simple to handle. I have spent countless hours on hold trying to get simple service and repair questions answered only to have them take my name and number down to call me back and I never hear from them. The overall quality with the sofa and love seat I bought was poor and had to be repaired within a month of having the pieces. That process is still on going and it started in May! To say that they are unorganized and slow when dealing with these issues is an understatement. Before all I had heard were great things about Ashley furniture but this location is awful! I would strongly recommend that if you are going to pay that amount of money for furniture that you spend it where your experience as a customer will not be ruined immediately after the sale. If they tell you delivery time is 2-6 weeks and keep pushing and pushing you to buy from them, DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!! You won't get your money back if you cancel the order, only in store credit. Purchased on 03/15/11 and was told on 03/31/11 it would arrive mid April and someone will call us back to let us know why the wait is so long...no call. Called 04/06/11 and now the arrival is END OF MAY. Poor customer satisfaction, that is not their priority. If they knew it was going to be a popular item then why not be organized and have a supply of it available?? I recently bought a queen size bed frame from Ashley furniture in Lubbock and was very disappointed by the customer service. Initially when they delivered the bed -which I had to pay 70.00 dollars- it turned out to be missing the hardware. Then I had to wait almost a week to get that mailed to me and reschedule a technician visit. I made arrangements for someone to be at my but they did not arrive at the time scheduled and while they called to tell me they didn't leave a message so I didn't know they were coming resulting in having to rescheduling again. I finally decided to put the frame together myself there was hardware was still missing. I finally found some bolts at Home Depot I could use to complete the frame. I will NEVER shop at Ashleys again. read more

My husband and I went in there for a couch and recliner. The manager spoke to us like we would not get approved. We did get approved and ordered what we went for. So while the sales associate was talking about the warranty, the manager came over and tried to convince my husband on it and my husband said he wasn't interested. The manager got up and told the sales associate ''make sure you put in the notes that he wasn't interested.'' It was very rude. We let it go, we had our furniture ordered. We picked up our couch the next day and we did. On the day our chair was in, we did not receive a call. I had to call them and when I spoke to them, they told me I had to call the warehouse.
