This is kind of like the consolidated cousin of Harbor Freight Tools but not as inexpensive. Of course you will find some things here that would you will not find at Harbor Freights and vice versa but at least what I could say is all of the personnel here are super nice. We ordered a storage shelf online. The storage shelf was not quite what we expected so I returned it to our local dealer in Lubbock. We were referred to Northern Tool by another retailer who refused to back up their product. Apparently, Northern Tool is the local repair outlet for Champion Generators. Anyway, after being very disappointed with Cabella's customer service, we popped into Northern Tool to see if they could help us. The in-store mechanic David went out of his way to help us out with the generator problem. He was very knowledgeable and spent quite a bit of time helping us out. Did not back their products, was not able to return or exchange a power washer with a receipt that quit working after 3 uses. They want you to leave it there for their mechanic that only works Limited hours. I can understand the idea of trying to fix it but need to have people available when your customers need it. They did not make this right before I left, knowing I would not return as a future customer. They couldn't have cared less, I spend over $500 on one transaction. Do not recommend! read more

Don't buy here if you are looking for good quality or good service when you have a defective product! I purchased an engine driven clear water pump that worked for less than 2 hours before the pump came apart. I returned to the store to exchange it so I could continue the project that multiple people were waiting on only to find out from a very unapologetic manager, that their warranty requires they have a shop technician look at it before an exchange is merited. I explained that we need this pump now but again an unconcerned and unapologetic manager stated that this is their company policy... "period" and nothing he could do then also mentioned that it is Saturday and since Monday is a holiday, it will be Tuesday before anyone can look at it. My only option would be to purchase another pump if I need it now. I chose to buy another pump from a different (reputable company) so I don't lose 4 days or more of productivity. Maybe Northern Tool should stay up North because businesses in the South don't last long with poor customer service polices and management that just doesn't care! read more
