5 January 2021 In…read moresearch of a chest of drawers, I Googled 'furniture stores' and found ABC Furniture. When I looked at it's location on the map I was a bit puzzled. I was puzzled because I go to a gym in the area an never noticed a furniture store. I was wrong. It is right next to the gym I go and I noticed the building ever time except, based on the sign, I always thought it was a mattress warehouse only. The parking lot is shared with the other businesses. It looks like it would be challenging to navigate if it were full, especially since there were two large delivery trucks parked outside. There is also street parking available too. The exterior of the building isn't too appealing. It is a warehouse style building crammed between a church and what looks like a woodworking shop (maybe that's where they repair furniture?). That made it a bit confusing to find the entrance. Once we found a door, we poked our heads inside to verify we were in the right place. An employee at the desk (she looked like the owner/manager by he demeanor) was on the phone but welcomed us in. After walking past the desk, we noticed all the furniture. It is a big facility but all the furniture was packed in there. The showroom had furniture for ever room in the house. I even noticed a sleeper (I have been thinking of getting one) but it was a floral colour and I want something plain with a solid colour. We saw three chest of drawers that we liked. They were simple and each was a different shade of brown. Each were approximately $900. I think the price is on par for Hawaii. Delivery to Ewa Beach would be $95. Another female employee was helpful with showing us all the different pieces and answering any questions we had. We were not committed yet so we took a business card and left. I believe we will be back.

Sean and Zippy arrived and placed the 2 pieces of furniture exactly as we requested. They were polite, clean and efficient. Sean brought the couch in from the truck on his own! The craftsmanship is spot on and the work is guaranteed. He can make any type of bed really, and I believe our monster platform bed of this type was a first if I'm not mistaken. They offer beautiful furniture and accessories, and customer service is the best. The shop is next to the Tiny Pyramid cafe (delicious cakes, BTW). Higuchi-san will help you find the right pieces. I found it helpful being able to choose from a good variety of fabric samples. I'd describe their furniture as "resort modern". Clean but modern with a classic fair. Good quality and design. There are not many options in Honolulu and Lalana is a hidden gem.

This allowed me to set my Temperpedic BedRiser/Boxframe and my Serta Form mattress together without it being to large for me to get up (it's still rather high but I like it that way!). He was very professional and the whole job after Taxes cost about 1400 dollars which is about average considering other big box places charge around the same for much more low quality wood. All this wood is solid and easily breaks down with no tools required! I love it! They also designed and made three separated roller drawers for storage underneath which makes good use of the underside of the bed. I am already using Danny to make me some new cabinet doors as well as I was so impressed with the finish and craftsmanship of his wood. Now you don't have to spend as much as I did but I wanted it to look perfect and it does! Pictures show the completed frame and then my bed fully made and I'll reference this review.

I rarely write reviews, but felt like he needed to be honored for his work, so here I am. We wanted a unique large Monkeypod table, and did a lot of research all over the island for the best craftsmanship and overall value. We chose to work with Danny and it has been the best working relationship and product we got! The Monkeypod table he made for us is beautiful, and he even added a small shelf underneath for us to put our kids' stuff on when entertaining, per my request. It's perfect, even better than I had asked for! I will be commisioning Danny to make more wood furniture for us soon! I know he will become big, but I hope not too big to help me when I need him! ;-)
