I will NEVER buy from Ashley Furniture again!!!!! We have purchased 2 large couches, several mattresses, 2 recliners and a couple side tables, not one time did we have a good experience. The most recent ? HORRIBLE!!!! Ordered a new bed, house guests coming on that Friday. Bought the bed a week ahead to insure it came . NOPE !!!!! 7 days late !!! Then to Top it off The delivery men were VERY RUDE ! Drive up our driveway, honked once and left with in seconds. Literally turned their truck around and left. My daughter chased them in her ATV, turned them around . The dropped the bed off, very few words and only because they refused to take the other mattress that was stain free as Ashley assured us they would take it. I had a really bad experience upon buying furniture. Wouldn't recommend anyone to go and buy stuff from Ashley store. They try manipulate people with their offers and insurance policies. Went to Fairfield Ashley store to buy sofa set and other accessories for our new home. representative there acted so nice, tried to gave us deals. Took 2 months to deliver furniture. Had a manufacturer defect in both sofa set and coffee table. We went back to store they next after delivery and showed them the pictures. Representative at the desk didn't took us seriously. Had to a ask for there manager. Manager filed a claim and said that they would fix it once the technician visit to see the furniture. It's been 15 days no one came. When a floor manager tells you I'll call you back on Monday n you wait for their feed back n you get no call at all. Went to the store in person (coz their phone service sucks also) n spoke to the floor manager who was to suppose to call me back n gives us a excuse "oh I was off for 3 days n I just got back n it's Thursday n got NO Call back from her!!!! Bait & switch! Our family spent at least an hour waiting for someone to help us. When we finally had someone help us we bought a sofa, recliner chair and a dresser. 2 weeks later we received a call that there might be a delay on the sofa but they could deliver the chair & dresser. That we would have to wait a month but we told them to hold all pieces and deliver all at once. Weeks later we received another call saying the sofa was actually not available and we could get another sofa that was "similar" but it was hundreds ($350) more. I asked if there were going to match the original sale price and give us a similar couch that we had PAID for at the same price. They said they couldn't do that. My husband talked to multiple people in customer service and management (when he could get through to a person) and they all told us the same thing. We opted to cancel the order after a month and a half later (they charged us quickly but did not give us what we paid for). When you offer an item on sale, take the customer's money and then try to give them another product that costs more that is literally bait & switch. They were given EVERY opportunity. We opted to go to Furniture 4 Less (a local store), paid about the same amount of money for similar products and received our items in just a few days. It is sad and very unfortunate that such a large business in Fairfield has some of the worst customer service i've ever come across. I've made purchases from this location a few years ago and figured I'd give them another shot. Upon walking in, we were greeted in a poor manner. Not a big deal, it's a holiday week and the store was a bit on the busy side. As we walked around and found a table that we wanted, we waited around until we were greeted by Agnes. She was nice, quite and walked me through the deals going on. With my experience in the past and looking through recent reviews, the Insurance for furniture is nothing but a scam. I knew I didn't want it, but for some reason this really irritates the associates. Again, it's a business transaction so there is ALWAYS room for negotiation in my opinion. The so called "manager", Perry, came by and was EXTREMELY rude to Agnes. He kept ordering her around as if she was completely inept with the ipad they were using. When she would try to explain he would roll his eyes to me and other associates. I don't care who you are but this flat out wrong for a person of authority. To this point I lost all respect for the so called manager. I don't know what crawled up inside him, but he then became super irritated with me when I told him that his "discount" didn't change the price. It doesn't matter how many years you may have in a "leadership" role, but you treat everyone beneath and above you with respect. Beware to all shoppers, look elsewhere, furniture here is extremely over priced, poor management and completely not worth it. They claim to be giving you a deal but use the already given holiday discounts as if they dropped the price down for you. I really hope upper management becomes aware of individuals like Perry. My first purchase worked out, so we returned for a second time. On 12/21/19 we purchased a bedroom set for our daughter, as a Christmas gift. We were guaranteed a 12/29/19 delivery date, so we planned our vacation around the delivery. We returned home, emptied the bedroom and called Ashley to get an estimated delivery time. I was told the delivery had been changed to 1/4/20, at my request, then due to a missing signature and then because of an unpaid balance. None were true and the story changed with every person I talked to. Obviously, I am frustrated, have a very disappointed child and family, due to this fiasco! The topper is being hung up on by Carla, in the Fairfield location. I asked for her full name, which she said she wasn't at liberty give. Hey Carla, full names are on all sales receipts! While I was talking to the store manager, Carla was in the background contradicting my statements and defending her poor customer service. Nobody answers the phone, I waited 20 minutes and nobody answered the phone. I called the corporate office and they tried to call the store and nobody answered the phone. I walked in the store and they said "oh yeah, nobody answers the phone here."What kind of service is that? They did not have plastic wrap to wrap my sectional that we bought even though it was white and we're putting it on the trailer. I will not remove my rating until my problem is resolved! For reference my name is Megan. I'm so unbelievably frustrated with this store (the concord store was more available and helpful..but not fully) I purchased a lovely expensive couch and it was finally delivered about 2 weeks ago. Besides the delivery date rescheduled on me 3 times, it was home! Upon delivery, we noticed the configuration just wouldn't work in our room and promptly told the delivery guys to take it back with them since that's what our sale associate said to do if there was an issue. I reported an issue 30 minutes after my delivery and asked to have to the same couch replaced, but different configuration! I was told the regional manager will have to approve the switch and they'd get back to me. However, it would take about a week because their regional manager was at a manager conference in Florida. Fun. After waiting the week, I called to check the status since no one updated me of ANYTHING. It took me 2 trips the concord store and 3 days of calling to get through to this store. I was told the regional manager has left on another trip for another week. So now I'm guarding a couch I'd like to exchange and feel like I'm being pushed into 30 days and they'll refuse me or something. How is it only one person in the whole company can approve my exchange ? And it happens to be the most traveled person in the state? Who also doesn't get back to their clients through email, or any correspondence in-between trips? I'm so upset to write this post. I've been polite and calm. If I could I'd give a negative 100 stars. While this is not a direct review of this particular store this is a review of this horrible company as a whole. The salesperson that helped us was kind and great, but told us our couch was available in the warehouse... TWO MONTHS ago! It's been two months and we haven't gotten our couch!!!!!! They've rescheduled 5x one time they didn't even call us to let us know it got rescheduled. We've been kind and patience and it seems this company takes advantage of kind and patience customers because not only were we put in the back burner of their back orders (due to Covid and no one working the ports for shipments) they switched our latest reschedule date to give to someone else!!!!!! What did they do? They just gave us a measly $100 gift card for our $3,000+ purchase two months ago that we still haven't received! You think we'll purchase anything from here ever again?! NOPE!!! $100 gift card was a waste. They keep telling us one part of the sofa isn't available. I'm starting to believe they're SCAMMING customers globally! We paid up front in cash and still NO FURNITURE in sight. They keep pushing off our delivery date because the shipment is sitting in the port. Learned from other people who was in our similar situation (didn't get their couch for 6 months) they had to call the news station to get them their item. I'm slowly going to go up the chain with this company. I will contact corporate. Apparently you have to be persistent and aggressive or you'll just be put in the back burner for MONTHS. If I could leave a negative star review I would. While this isn't specifically the Fairfield stores issue, all of our purchases were online, their customer support is still the same and the review would still stand. I should've taken the reviews into consideration before furnishing our new home with all of Ashley's products. I knew Ashley had terrible reviews but I had a huge credit line with them and it was a one-stop shop. We spent nearly $4000 and have had the WORST EXPERIENCE with every single purchase. Our TV stand- didn't come with assembly so my husband built it. He's very good with these things, but saw that the predrilled holes for the hinges weren't straight. This caused the doors to be lopsided and not close correctly. We couldn't fix the issue without drilling our own holes. We paid extra for the protection plan, so when we called to complain about this they literally said "the protection plan doesn't cover this and there's nothing we can do" never mind that their product was faulty. They didn't care. That was $270 ($300 with protection plan). We had to ghetto-rig it to make it work. Our nursery glider- $280, they sent the wrong color. Our nursery dresser- paid $240 and paid the extra $60 for delivery and assembly. They just dropped the package. Opened the box, but left the package. No assembly. It took 3 calls and multiple transfers before I spoke to someone who offered a refund of the assembly cost. Each person before her said they can't refund delivery charges. That person didn't actually Process it so I had to call back a few days later. It was finally taken care of. Power recliner/dining room table- on back order.. said it would be delivered in a few weeks.. then a few more weeks... and a few more.. finally each time I called they kept pushing the date back. $780 chair and it had been a few months and we still didn't have it with no promise of when it would show up. It's June, and when someone said September, I said just cancel it. Well, in this order we had a dining room table set to be delivered (after being on back order and waiting for it for weeks). The customer service person said, let me figure out how to cancel the chair without canceling your pending delivery (set for the next day). She put me on hold for about 10 minutes then reassured me that she canceled the chair but NOT the table. The table was set to be delivered the next day still and gave me a confirmation number. The next day comes, and no call for delivery. I call customer service and they tell me THE TABLE HAS BEEN CANCELED! After waiting weeks and prepping my dining room for the delivery... it's now not coming and there's no promise of when the next one would come once I order it. Not just that, but if I want to order a new one, the lady with customer service can't help me. I have to go back online, order it, then call them back for them to honor the sale price I got it for weeks ago. By now I had been on the phone with them 4x this week, multiple hours. I was NOT doing that. Two pillars- I didn't like them anymore, and hadn't built them yet, so I wanted to return them. One of my earlier calls to customer service, the lady said she processed my return and that "ups would be by 3-4 business days to pick them up. They will contact you when they come" I wasn't reassured but she knows what she's talking about right? Well they never showed up. So my final call to customer service, I asked. She said it was never actually processed then proceeded to tell me that since we had moved, it would void the warranty for returns. If you've been reading this whole post, you have to know by now I am fuming. There was no way they weren't taking these pillars back. Luckily, I caught a lady that wanted to help me after I told her my entire story of all of our issues. Finally, our living room couches with recliners, they weren't made in this big purchase with all the above problems, but while I'm complaining, I'll say they aren't worth what we paid for. The cushions are broken down already have a few months and they crack and squeak when reclining. While their furniture is great if you hit a great sale, their customer service is horrific. You better hope there's nothing wrong with your stuff when it arrives otherwise you're screwed. read more

In summary - A bad experience from beginning to end. What an ordeal and they never missed an opportunity to disappoint! This is the first (and the last) purchase I will ever make from any Ashley Home Furniture (AHF). AHF was having a sale and I had decided it was time for a new bedroom set. I went into AHF to make a purchase and I did. Once I had made my decision in store, it took a very long time to process the purchase. My suggestion for AHF is take a look at your purchasing process with a customer focus and the changes that need to be made will be apparent. My advice for a potential customer is, don't make a purchase at an AHF. The original date for delivery upon purchase was January 19th. This date was pushed out over and over and over again. Finally the date of delivery was March 14th. I received a message to confirm the date three days prior, which I did. Then I received a phone call to confirm the date and my address, which I did. They do not provide you with any kind of a time window for delivery until the date before. Finally, I was told they would deliver on the 14th between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. AHF does not offer the removal of your old furniture, so I had my old set removed on March 13th. The morning of March 14th, I am ready and waiting for their arrival. At 12:09 p.m. (21 minutes left in the 4 hour window), I receive a call from the delivery company. They called to inform me that the truck broke down and they will need to reschedule my delivery. I advised them that they needed to deliver my bedroom set on that day because they had confirmed the date on multiple occasions and I had removed all of my bedroom furniture the day before. I am not going to even get into the delivery company because it won't help anyone else going forward. As an AHF customer, you are not provided with the name of the delivery company or have any opportunity to decide who they will use to deliver your purchase. The fact that AHF continues to contract with this company is disappointing and further evidence of their lack of concern for the customer experience. When I looked up the delivery company on Yelp, it became very clear that their horrible customer service was well documented. I was shocked that AHF continues to use a company with a well established history of falling far below customers' expectations. I will also add that I called the AHF sales rep several times over the period between my purchase and the delivery date, including twice on March 14th. She was always nice and did return my calls, but her voicemail was full every single time I called so I could not leave a message. I was able to send her a text and (to her credit) she did return 95% of my calls. However, she was not informed as to the status of my furniture but was always quick to provide "canned answers" to my inquiry which were simply not accurate. I suspect the complaints are abundant and the sales reps and are stuck in the middle between management and the customer. That being said, the right hand clearly had not clue what the left hand was doing. Many examples of this but the best was her calling me back to tell me that "there was no way that they would be able to deliver my furniture on the 14th, that she had been on the phone for over an hour, and it would have to be another date" all while they were literally at my house and carrying the furniture up my stairs. The delivery company did end of figuring out a way to deliver my furniture on the 14th. When they left, I was relieved that it was over. I was also happy with the bedroom set I picked out. Two weeks later, I receive a call from AHF to schedule the delivery of my bedroom set. I ask what is being delivered and am advised that the support flats for my queen bed were on backorder and were not delivered on March 14th. This was so frustrating for many reasons. First, because I had made it clear on multiple occasions that I wanted one delivery after all items had arrived. Secondly, because I had received multiple emails that all of my items were in and ready for delivery. Third, and most important, there had not been a single conversation at the day of delivery that something was missing, had not been delivered or that the bed that they put together had none of the support pieces. Unbelievable. So, I had to schedule a second date which meant blocking out a second full day as they do not provide you with a delivery window until the 11th hour. The delivery company tried to do a drop and run but I insisted that they assembled the pieces with the bed since we had paid for that service. We are lucky we did as there was more to it than you would expect. In summary - A bad experience from beginning to end. What an ordeal and they never missed an opportunity to disappoint! Okay I purchased a chair on Jan 30, 2022 an was told it would be delivered April 18 it wasn't delivered went in store they said they rescheduled it for Sunday April 24th now they tell me it won't be here until may 1st I am done with them, there delivery systems is all screwed up an they need to fix it because there customers are dropping like flies!!!! Ordered furniture - this is how it came off the truck. Told the driver we can't accept this. Called Ashley store for refund. They say someone from their "refund center" has to call me back. Wait, you can charge my card at the store but can't issue a refund? Even better the store tells me it will be a refund less $99.99 delivery charge? Huh? You didn't even deliver me what I wanted and you still want to charge me a delivery fee? Guess what, we needed to furnish a whole house. This will be the first and last time we shop at Ashley. Live and learn. Update - got a refund for the couches after calling corporate. Local store still refuses to refund delivery charge. Next stop is BBB, state attorney consumer complaint dept and credit card company. Final update - the regional mgr (I assume he's from their corporate HQ) approved the refund of the delivery fees. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a full refund. I hope the regional mgr can clean up the customer service at this store. read more

I went to this store looking for a dresser. I was greeted a immediately after I entered the store which was nice, however, after the lady out front told me if their promotion she began to follow me around (I understand it is their job) but she did not let me even look at ONE dresser before she said "you are not looking for anything expensive, right?" Made me feel like she thought I couldn't afford to shop there. The second snarky comment came after I had FaceTimed my family to show them the dresser. She was following me around the store and when she saw that I had looked at one of the "high-end" dressers she began to speak to me as im speaking on the phone and after my boyfriend pointed that out she said "oh. So shes looking at furniture but is on the phone?" Then she laughed in a very sarcastic way. The third snarky comment came when I asked for the price if the blanket. She laughed at me and said "we call these throws." But in a not friendly tone. Best for last: after I was done looking at the "high-end" dresser she had the AUDACITY to ask "its because your stimulus check came in, right?" 1. Thats literally NONE of her business. 2. No, thats not how I have money to buy a dresser. The staff here need to be taught how to communicate with their customers properly. Her name was Agnis. Liars - what else is there to say? Oh right, don't buy here. My and I went in to purchase 2 sets of bedroom sets and couches during a "sale". We purchased the bedroom sets and were still unsure about the couches and dining room set. DO NOT USE THEIR DELIVERY SERVICE!!! The absolute worst experience I've ever had dealing with a furniture company. The delivery drivers were rude, inconsiderate, and liars!!! They arrived to deliver a bed and chest drawers. There was nothing in the room except for a mattress and box springs. They still managed to place the bed right next to the closet door (it couldn't be opened because of where the bed was placed). And they placed the drawers in an area opposite of where I asked it to be placed. When I asked for the items to be placed properly, they left hurriedly and started to leave the boxes in my complex driveway. Once they saw me watching them from my window, they packed up the boxes leaving pieces of plastic and left. 10 minutes later I got a call from a supervisor accusing me of not letting the drivers take pictures of the bed!! It was absurd considering they not only took pictures of the bed but of everything they wanted to take pictures of from the time they arrived until they left. I guess they were nervous that I was going to call in on them and wanted to devise a lie to counter any complaint I may make. $200 delivery and I had to move the furniture myself. Pitiful! So I talked with customer service to try and exchange my 3800 dollar concrete mattress to the medium one, since they took my 10 year old mattress off my hands during delivery. And the rep told me I could give it to GoodWill if I wanted. Like seriously. I hope this store goes bankrupt and stop using people. I wish I could do zero stars but that's not available. read more

In store experience was great. Divina was a pleasure to work with. Delivery is where it all went wrong. We have waited two weeks for delivery today only for the drivers to refuse to take our new couch upstairs. We made it very clear when purchasing that this was going to be placed in our upstairs loft. We were assured it would not be a problem. The delivery driver Jose and his coworker suggested I get power tools, take the legs off and then have a family member carry it upstairs. Mind you I am 3 months pregnant and my husband is away for work. I paid for delivery and assembly yet they just left it in my entry way still in all the wrapping. Very disappointed with this service and plan to follow up with corporate! If they can not resolve soon, I will return the couch. Definitely not the experience I expected! read more

He didn't make us feel like we were taking up his time while trying to find the right couch. He gave us his cell # in case we had any issues or questions. The actual front office customer service left a lot to be desired but because of Ron and his following through, we were extremely satisfied. Absolutely the worst delivery and follow up service . I bought a bed set in feb 6 and still have not got the bed frame . I called today because no one has followed up on any thing and now it is delayed till July! This is the fourth delivery of cracked broken pieces and/or missing pieces. I will never buy or step a foot in this store again and definitely will tell my friends . This has nothing to do with covid but has everything to do with horrible customer service and follow-up. read more
