The moment you walk in the door, the salespeople start circling like sharks in freshly chummed water - they're overly friendly and interested in selling you something, anything. They're very helpful to assist you in making your purchase and getting it delivered to your home. That's where the helpfulness ends. The one saving grace about this company is the furniture insurance - always buy the insurance. If something goes wrong with your new furniture addition, which it will, they will eventually send out a repairman to fix the item. Sometimes, the piece is beyond repair and needs to be replaced - which is our situation. The repairman deemed our couch unfixable, so it needed to be replaced. We waited for a few weeks with no contact until a delivery company showed up at our door with a delivery, we were unaware we were supposed to be getting. Because we didn't know why they were there, we turned them away. After calling customer service, which was a nightmare, we discovered that they had the wrong phone number on file for us. We rescheduled the delivery in house with their customer service team and waited patiently for the replacement. They informed us there that they would take the old couch and set up the new one. When the driver arrived, he told me they weren't going to take the couch and the orders were for them to not take it. They delivered the new one and set it up. After sitting in it later that evening, we discovered one side was damaged/broke. We again called the call center, a nightmare and ended up going to the store. The customer service rep who had helped us the previous times assures us he would contact the Store Manager Devin Arguello by Saturday (it was Thursday evening and he was off). Needless to say it never happened. We went back in the following Thursday and the same thing happened. We went in again the following Thursday and asked to be contacted by the Regional Manager Mitch Odell. Guess what? That, of course, never happened either. Kept pushing the insurance too which I didn't want and told me I had to put down 200.00 today even though I was approved for 5000.00 on store credit with 12 month financing. What a SCAM place. Found the recliners on line that we liked and went to the store to order them. They were about $730 each with free delivery. So we go to the store and talk to a salesperson and she proceeds to tell us that it is $4000 for the pair. I show her the Ashley Website and she types on her iPad and says owe it is $1900 for them. I said what are you charging for tax, 40%? She said no it's delivered. I told her that the website says free delivery. She just stared at me. We walked out. WHAT A BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM PLACE. We came already knowing what we wanted. Our sales rep, Jose, was super nice, super chill, and very informative. We had a great experience with him and his boss Jason helped give us some discounts. The second star is for Jose and his customer service skills. However, we paid 179 for deliver AND building for our couches and our dressers. Apparently, after calling Jason asking him for clarifications on why the dressers were not included in the build, they were not included. We paid 179 for the delivery guys to snap the couches together (two pieces). My husband has a bad back from the service and we asked them to at least bring the boxes upstairs and they could not, all right, then we called the store manager. Jason was pretty rude over the phone. We called, the sales associate told him our situation, he remembered us and made me feel like I was in the wrong for complaining due to him giving us a discount. We just wanted clarification because any one of us could snap together two couch pieces but to build the dressers were a different story. He was very cold over the phone when we opened the dresser boxes and dirt/sand came out of the boxes all over our floor. Had we opened those up upstairs on our brand new carpet, that would of been awful! He basically just brushed us off saying "Ok, nothing I can do about sand and dirt in the boxes so what do you guys want?" We didn't even want our money back we just wanted to see if someone could build our dressers but the coldness on the phone really didn't want me to return back there. It is unfortunate because he seemed cool to make the sale but then we call back to get clarification when they did not make it clear that only the couches would be made together (although he stated over the phone that he did, there were 6 of us there that day did not get that from him or Jose). Even after stating that, he said he could take 100 off of the delivery and set up or we can just go somewhere else.. very rude.. I will just be going to a neighboring Ashley furniture because that was absolutely unnecessary to treat us like that over the phone. Was an absolute shocker. But thank you Jose for being a good sales rep, really wanted to keep working with you since we still need furniture. read more

Bought a couch and within 6 months the arm rests are flat, stuffing is crap and now our armrests are the wood slats with no cushion. I purchased a dining set in February. The delivery was scheduled for March 9. Upon driver arrival, I noticed the furniture was damaged, not only the table but also the legs of the chair (see pictures). I did not accept the delivery. They called me and said I would receive a new set only in May. Long story short, I canceled the order in March and I only received my refund this past Saturday, 3 months later. Their excuse was that because I had paid in cash, my refund took so long, which doesn't make any sense. Neither less to say that I had to contact customer service numerous times to get an update on my refund. Lesson learned! read more

Mid February 2021 I bought a cal king size bed, tall dresser, skinny tall dresser, night stand, TV stand, kitchen table with chairs, a L shape and added furniture for around 7k. It took about 6 weeks to deliver. The delivery came mid March. I week prior I had new carpet put in in which I told the movers and they were like "nice" but didn't put shoe protectors snd kept coming in snd out of the house through the lawns. The guys left a mess on the street including their furniture towel thing, I think they must've hurt themselves that there were blood stains on my furniture, they knocked my dogs name off the wall n left the wall with a opening. The TV stand isn't even where I put my DVR because there's a nail and makes it uneven. They didn't screw the woolen things on my bed under my mattress so I could lay on the bed because I sink in. I went the same night to the store and complained showing them pictures. I didn't hear from them. I went the following day and I was looked like I was crazy. The manager came to my house and saw everything and said he'd fix it. And I trusted him. I got a guy that ordered the piece to my TV stand and I've not seen him since. The same guy patched the table which also had a bad scratch that my blouse got caught. I've not heard from them since. I'm not one to fight or make a big scene (well I kinda did the day I spoke with him at the store when I cried because I felt I was looked like I was crazy and lying even after I showed the pictures). It's 7/11/21 and still have not even 1/4 resolved. I have not bought furniture for over 20years because I can't afford it but decided that I finally deserved it. I will NOT be buying from Ashley's EVER again and maybe not buying furniture for next 20 years. Sorry but I'm SO frustrated, sad, disappointed and feel stupid. read more

Worst customer service by management and sale personal. We ordered our furniture. And we kept getting the run around on delivery date. On the date of the delivery nobody called stating that the furniture was back order. We had to call our selfs,. Because we did not get any emails. We went to the store where this carsales men manager offered us $100 dollars on our stuff. The next delivery date came around and nothing. Nobody called saying this was back ordered. We decided to cancel and that Also was an ordeal. It took several hours for them to cancel the ordered. I really don't know how this place or who is running it, unprofessional and low class service. We went into the store on May 24 and spent a huge chunk of money on a whole living room set. It wasn't until the card was swiped that the sales rep informed us that delivery would be on July 4. Being that Covid had just reopened we understood. We were told that two days before delivery we would receive a text and or phone call. When it never came I called Ashley myself and was told that delivery was scheduled for July 6 now. She told me that two days before someone would contact us. On July fourth we received an email that said if we did not call before 3pm our delivery would be cancelled. We called right away and spoke with Thea and cleared everything up for the 6th. So today July 6 at noon I wondered why we haven't heard anything. I call and they inform me our Fourth of July delivery was cancelled. WHAT? I call to speak to someone and they were very confused by why it was cancelled, and we had no date scheduled. They informed me the earliest they could do is the 9th. This is not going to work considering we cleared all our furniture out for the new stuff! Now we are just sitting in an empty room. When my husband called to get some help they tried to say he is the one who cancelled the delivery because we wouldn't be home? Then at the store they tried to blame Covid-19. Listen to me everyone. Covid is not an excuse for screwing everything up and not delivering your product. Now we have to wait 72 hours just to get a call back about getting a refund. You can't get ahold of anyone, no one answers the phone. The story changes every single time you call. read more

I would give this company NO STARS, but that's not an option. The showroom is lovely, and the staff is helpful, but it's all downhill from there!!! I wish I could post about my entire experience with this store; however, Yelp won't give me that much space! I ordered two twin beds, two night stands, and a five-drawer chest on June 26, 2020, and I just received the final piece today (September 24, 2020)!! I have probably spoken to their customer service reps, and delivery people approximately 50 times in order to have my furniture delivered. Ashley Customer Service Representatives, and Delivery people do not have a problem lying to a customer to get them off of the phone! Once these people get your money, you are on your own trying to get them to deliver your furniture!! It has been a total nightmare that I would not wish on my worst enemy!! I have filed complaints on the phone, and in person, but they just ignore you! I have even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau!! Ashley Furniture Corporate Office called me a few minutes ago, 9/9/2014, due to my customer service complaint I filed via E-Mail regarding the workmanship and quality of the sofabed I purchased in 2011 {(951) 757-6961, Temecula, CA}: I must immediately change my review from a five-star review to a grossly disappointing NEGATIVE 50-stars review because 2 1/2 years later, the sofabed's stitching is disintegrating, ripping at the seams(I'm the only person sitting on the sofabed), and the sofabed's frame is warping causing the material to rip at the seams! When I bought the sofabed in June/July 2011, the salesperson didn't inform me about a sofabed warranty otherwise, I would have purchased the warranty agreement! Now, the Ashley Furniture Corporate Office is stressing because I didn't purchase the warranty WHICH wasn't offered to me at the point of purchase, the Ashley Furniture Corporate Office could care less about customer satisfaction as long as they were paid in full for the furniture a customer purchased! Although I am happy with the bed and mattress I purchased I will not be shopping with Ashley again due to their poor customer service. I placed an order in the store on 10.29.2022 for a king size mattress, king size bed frame and what I thought were two king size pillows (very expensive pillows). The delivery came on 11.5.2022. I noticed the pillows were Queen size. I advised the delivery driver they were the incorrect size. At no point did he tell me I could and should refuse them. He told me to contact customer service, which I did immediately. Customer Service told me to contact the store. During the sale, The sales associate provided me her phone number and advised me to contact her with any problems. I let her know what happened. She advised me she charged me for queen size pillows and to take the unopened pillows back to the store for an exchange. I attempted to do that on 11.6.2022 and was told bedding is final sale and they can't offer me an exchange. They said they would need to get approval and that department was closed so they opened a case and told me I would hear something the following day. I never received a phone call. On 11.19.2022 I spoke with customer service and was advised I WOULD be able to exchange the pillows and would receive an email confirmation to take to the store within 4 days. It is now 12.6.2022 and I still haven't received such email. I called again today and was told by customer service that they can ONLY send an email to home store and centralized office. There is ONE person that can approve the exchange at the centralized office and they have no direct number to contact that person to see why there has been no response after a month.
