If zero was an option I would leave that. Hands down the worst experience from start to finish (well, not even fished, just throwing in the towel.) We ordered furniture at the end of August and were told it would arrive the next week. We never received a call to schedule. I reached out and was told the furniture was on back order and would be delivered October 17. (seems like maybe you would call and give a heads up about the long delay). When the delivery finally came, two of the three men showed up without masks and entered the house. One of the tables was significantly damaged so I refused delivery. Once they left, I looked over the second table to see that that had dropped it while assembling it and chipped it. Not only that, there are bars under the table that were suppose to be screwed in. They did not screw them in, they were not even close to the hole that was left empty and the screws were not included. (so much for paying the set up fee) I called the service line and was told that I would have someone out that the following Tuesday with new pieces to fix and the additional furniture would be delivered on Saturday. I got the text notification window, stayed home and no one showed up. After the window was up, I called and was told the item was not even on the truck. They scheduled another delivery date, the same thing happened. They also scheduled a service call for the damaged piece, that person did not show up either. I called and spoke the manager, who was hands down the biggest chauvinist. He kept belitting me and talking down to me. Oddly, when my husband got on the phone the conversation was much different. He promised to have the items delivered and fixed and would call back that night with information. NOTHING. Also a false promise that since we have six appointments, all scheduled by them, before having the whole set, we would be refunded the delivery fee. Three months later, numerous call and emails, nothing. Not only was the service horrendous, the staff unprofessional, not following Covid precautions, but the furniture is junk. The quality is so poor. I immediately had to place a felt pad under one of the legs because the brand new table with tags wobbles. Talk about a huge disappointment, head ache and waste of money. I guess I should have read the reviews on here before even walking in to the store. It seems like everyone has the same experience, except those that were putting in a good word for their friends who are salespeople. read more

The Nightmare That Is Ashley Furniture, Store 81 in Colma, CA My recent experience with Ashley Furniture at Store 81 in Colma, CA, has been nothing short of a living nightmare. From the moment I made my purchase store, I was met with apathy, incompetence, and sheer disregard for basic customer service principles. Before I get into the experience, the ONLY positive component worth mentioning is the specific customer service rep I worked with (David Tuong) and the AMAZING store manager (Mark). Now that the only highlight is over, let's get to the negative. Firstly, Ashley's online customer service displayed an alarming lack of knowledge about their own products. I spent time with multiple online reps who seemed utterly clueless, providing conflicting information about the availability and features of the items I was interested in. This was only the beginning of my ordeal. The delivery service, which happened twice, was an absolute DIASTER. Whomever Ashley outsources (aka the delivery personnel) were rude, unprofessional, and had the audacity to not only refuse to delivery my items because they had to take the steps, but treated me with utter disrespect/ When I tried to contact customer service to resolve the issue, I was met with unending hold times and transferred from one inept representative to another. Each conversation ended with hollow promises of a resolution that never materialized. The sheer incompetence of their customer service team is staggering and left me feeling utterly helpless and infuriated. Moreover, the follow-up service was nonexistent. Despite numerous calls and emails, there was no effort from Ashley Furniture to rectify their mistakes or provide any form of compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused. It became painfully clear that they have no regard for their customers' satisfaction or loyalty. In summary, I experienced appalling customer experience marred by unknowledgeable online staff, horrendous delivery services, and a customer service department that is both useless and indifferent. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere - the Ashley Furniture brand is a disgrace and an absolute insult to paying customers. read more

I recently had a disappointing experience at Ashley Furniture regarding my account and authorized user. I had added my mother as an authorized user since we live in different states, so she could make her own purchases using my account. When she visited the store, the salesman who helped her was very nice and accommodating. However, when she got to the cashier, "Ledy" was dismissive and not helpful. Ledy told my mother that the cardholder needed to be present to finalize the transaction, despite my mother being an authorized user. My mother called me, and I spoke to Ledy myself. I then requested to speak to the manager. Steven, the manager, came on the phone, and I explained that having my mother as an authorized user should allow her to complete her own purchase. He agreed and said he would speak to his superior and get back to me with a decision. However, Ledy then told him it was store policy, and instead of following up as promised, Steven simply told my mother it was store policy and did not bother to call his boss or return to the phone to speak with me. When I asked my mother to put me back on the phone with him, he declined. I then called the store myself within a minute of him not coming to the phone, and Steven came on the line right away. He told me he was juggling five customers at the time, which is why he couldn't come to the phone earlier. However, I found this explanation confusing, since he was able to get on the phone immediately when I called back. The phone call would not have taken long, and he had already said he would come back to speak with me. I felt this was unprofessional and disappointing. While I understand that store policies exist, it would have been much more professional and courteous for the manager to come back on the phone and explain the situation directly to me, rather than brushing it off. Additionally, I believe Ledy would benefit from further customer service training, as her dismissive attitude made the experience even more frustrating for my mother. This experience left both my mother and me feeling frustrated and undervalued as customers. read more

I recently purchased the Altari sofa from Ashley Furniture, and I'm thrilled with the product! The sofa is firm but incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect addition to our living room. What truly made our shopping experience stand out, was the exceptional service provided by Manager Isaiah and Store Advisor Evelyn. They went above and beyond to ensure we found the perfect sofa within our budget. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is genuinely appreciated, and we can't thank them enough! Unfortunately, our experience with the delivery service was a different story. Despite our request to have the items dropped off in the living room, the delivery team chose to enter through our bedroom patio door and left the items in the bedroom. To make matters worse, they failed to handle the items with care, dragging them across our asphalt driveway during offloading. While we're extremely satisfied with our purchase and the service provided by Isaiah and Evelyn, we would not recommend Ashley Furniture's delivery service to others due to their subpar handling and communication. Rating Breakdown: - Product (Altari Sofa): 5/5 stars - Service (Isaiah and Evelyn): 5/5 stars - Delivery Service: 0.5/5 stars Overall, we're happy with our purchase and in-store service, but Ashley Furniture needs to improve their delivery service to match the exceptional standards set by their in-store team. read more

On 3/29/2021 I walked into the Colma Blvd. location and was greeted by a friendly sales associate, name Evelyn Solon. She asked, how could she assist me. I explain that a much needed comfortable sofa sleeper, for a studio was my reason for shopping today. She showed me what furniture was available, explained in detail about the comfort and easy of owning a sofa bed. After I chose the one I wanted. Decided to purchase several other pieces of merchandise. Evelyn showed me numerous items and was patient and very accommodating. Also met Ken the manager, he was just as pleasant as Evelyn. The manager mention that there was a sell going on, that will end that evening. I was on cloud 9, when I walked out of Ashley Home Store. I purchased quality furniture at affordable prices. The staff was professional and kind. This is ideal place for shopping. Toni C read more

(Shout out EVELYN and KEN) We were just looking around because we were moving in to our new apartment in a few weeks. We were truly just looking and had no intentions of making any major purchases yet given all the time we had at that time. It was when we met Evelyn and Ken who gave us a great deal on a beautiful couch, Ottoman and Study table for our son! She gave us 50% off on everything and Ken even gave us an extra discount on the total purchase price. They were so pleasant and enthusiastic. We ended up getting everything we needed from them. Evelyn and Ken are AWESOME. They should be highly valued. Thanks guys! read more

My wife and I were looking for a two person recliner. I was expecting to be swooped on by a salesman right away, but we had plenty of time to roam around and look at our choices. When we were ready, Evelyn assisted us. She was very helpful and friendly. She explained all the details we needed and doubled checked all of the delivery information, from our availability, address and logistics (how many floors, etc.). I'm sure we'll be back in the future. The manager was a gentlemen and very helpful also. It was a genuinely pleasant experience, which I can't say for too many big purchases in my life. read more

I am having an incredibly frustrating experience at Ashley Home Store in Colma. Despite Ken, the manager, and Evelyn, the sales rep, assuring me they'd replace a footboard that was damaged from delivery, the repeated delivery promises for the replacement footboard have been consistently empty. Despite assurances from Ken, the manager, and Evelyn, the sales rep, the lack of follow-through has left me awaiting a resolution and deeply disappointed in the overall customer service read more

The Ashely home store had such a great selection of furniture.
