Mattress buyers beware. After 10 years of the same mattress the hubby and I spent $1400.00 on a new one at Ashely... HUGE MISTAKE!!!. After merely 2 years of unhappy ownership the mattress has decompressed by a full inch. I get to sleep in a $1400.00 pillow top "ditch" every night. After contacting there office they sent a technician out to assess our mattress situation. Because their standard policy is that the mattress must be 1-1/2 to 2" decompressed, or "sinking" and we where only at 1" sink, there was nothing they could do. If a faulty or "lemon" mattress is shown at 1-1/2" and it comes with a 10 year warranty, then my 2 year old mattress with a 1" sink should show to be a lemon. I have spent so much money at ashley over the last 10 years. NEVER AGAIN!!! I will never spend another dime in that salesman leeching, horrible customer service of a company again. READ THE NON-RETURN POLICY before you purchase anything in this store. They are great selling, maybe too grate, as they will sell you poor quality products by an expensive price (making you believe it worth it). If you need to return it, even after one day of the deliver, expect to be put on hold for hours until you are able to talk to the manager, who might tell you "sorry you didn't like it, we have a no return policy, there is nothing I can do". And when you can the Customer Service of Ashley, you will hear "please call the store and talk to the manager"! No care, no minimum interest on customer satisfaction. Went in today looking for a lift recliner chair. We were lucky to have Chris Williams at the the front to greet us. He was very polite and took us directly to what we needed. We weren't sure so we left the store. Before we got home we decided we liked one and turned around and went back. After only one year, both sofas we purchased started falling apart. Ashley's denied every attempt to use our warranty. The sofas were very poorly put together and had major design flaws that caused all of the foam in the seats to start shredding and falling apart every time anyone sat down/ got up or tried to use the footstool. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER Last september we bought a bedroom set. At the time we received it, the TV stand was damaged and they replaced it 1 month later. During december, the rest of the pieces started to show the same damage or defect, so we went to the store to ask for help and they only gave us a phone number to call. I tried to call several times and they hung up the phone. They were trying to give me an email to share some pictures, so after many tries, i was able to get the email address and i shared the pictures. They received and reviewed the pictures and i was told this is not a manufacturing defect or issue, they said this is a normal since i have been using it, which is ridiculous since we have only a few months and the paint is coming off. The bedroom set is not made with wood, and it was clearly manufactured with a very low quality. After all, we came back to the store and the manager of the store, mocking me, made me call customer service AGAIN, and i was told they would send somebody to check the bedroom set, which was a complete lie and i am sure they did it only for me to leave the store. Both, the manager and customer service personnel provided terrible service. PLEASE DON'T BUY ANYTHING IN ASHLEY. They treat you very well when they want you to buy something, but if you need something from them later they are very rude and normally they ignore you. read more

Ashley is very unreliable store. The service they provide is a joke. We purchased a mirror from the Burbank location with a dresser 3 months ago and we received the dresser without the mirror and we've been waiting for the mirror for 3 months. Every week we are being scheduled for deliver and we get text reminders that the delivery is 10 mins away and every time they skip our house. They bring the same damaged mirror back and forth and give us emotional stress. Every week is the same story. The service is really bad. If you could find a different store to buy furniture do it! My girlfriend and I have been looking for a new bed, and after receiving a flyer in the mail we decided to go check out what they have to offer. After reading the reviews on here we were a bit skeptical. However, we realize that not everyone who reviews on here has the most positive attitude, and some tend to fish for reasons to complain, so we figured we would go and see for ourselves. Honestly, the service we received was excellent. Our salesman, Daniel Hayes, was extraordinarily polite and helpful. We decided to finance the bed we bought - it caused some more work for Daniel, but he was courteous patient and made sure we got what we needed. We even ended up buying a couple of rugs (they were previously floor model rugs that were on sale at a RIDICULOUS discount). The delivery crew contacted us first thing the next morning to schedule our delivery. Within 2 days our new bed arrived and we are very happy. Wow, yelpers seem to hate this place and I totally understand why. This company has a weird business model. This particular location has a ton of sales people but they are not very helpful. One of the saleswomen showed us to the office furniture area but looked really bored and annoyed while we looked at the bookshelves (which there were only 4 of). She didn't try to engage in friendly banter or sell any furniture to us. I guess she wasn't going for employee of the month. Once we found a bookshelf that we liked and saw it was only $300, we were ready to take it home right then and there. (I purposely borrowed my mom's huge SUV so I could transport a bookshelf). Why I didn't buy this great bookshelf?? -There is a $49 delivery fee (which is cheap if you have a large order, but when your item is only $300 AND you have a large SUV with an empty trunk, a $49 delivery fee seems steep. -If you want to avoid the delivery fee, you have to pick it up from the warehouse in Colton. (Um, yeh right that's not happening). -You can't order online! The one time the salesperson interjected was to announce that Ashley Furniture doesn't sell any of their products on-line. My parents came here to buy a sleeper sofa and they bought one! I asked them what it was called so I could look it up. They handed me the receipt and I looked up the couch. I was shocked to see that the price online was much cheaper. My parents also told me they got 30% off. The online price was still cheaper! I told my parents they should return it and I'd order it online. So we went to the store to see if they would match the price. They couldn't because they have limitations on what stores they can price match. Anyway, we told them to cancel it and the manager started crunching some numbers and get us a much lower price. The sales person told me that I can bring the mattress protector anytime and exchange for a new one as long as I keep the packaging. After 3 years, I decided to get the mattress protector replaced and called in. They told me that it was only for one year after that I have to buy a new one. No honesty, not coming back. Pascale, one of the sales associates, helped us; she was very sweet and helpful without being pushy and let us take our time. She suggested that we purchase a mattress protector, and we declined. However, when we went to pay for the mattress, she had talked to a manager and included it for free! The delivery team came two or three days later and installed the bed; it was a really quick and easy process. Bought a couch and had it delivered. Went to sweep under couch afterward and there was a beam sticking out the bottom. The couch creaked when it was sat on. I called for four days and was put on hold. When I went into the store an employee claimed he couldn't find me in the system and asked me what I wanted him to do. Then another guy came up to me, he didn't give me his name and simply said once the couch enters the house they won't let you return it!? BS! Bottom line never buy from this store. I ordered a bed room set in July, it was to be delivered to me in 3 weeks. When I called to confirm the delivery I was told the warehouse had moved and it would take an additional 3 weeks. I didn't get my furniture until Sep, over 8 weeks later. When they delivered it was the wrong mirror they came out 2 weeks later to exchange& had no mirror to give me. By this time I have had the dress for less than 30 days& the paint came off the top of the dresser. I was told this was my fault& it would not be covered under any warranty. So I said "come pick the furniture up& give me money back". Then they offered to exchanged it with the delivery of my correct mirror but not until mid Oct.This is where everything gets messy. The delivery drivers show up but didn't call before they came like the previous delivery, I was not home. Dispatch called me and informed I had 15 mins before they would leave, I was there in 10& they were gone. Dispatch then told me you had 15 mins from when the drivers arrived& they had been there a while before dispatch called me. I was also told dispatch did call me, they had some (818) number on file, my number is (310). I told dispatch how is it that dispatch was able to get in contact with me but not the drivers. They gave me a delivery for the next day, they brought the mirror, we exchanged mirrors but no dresser. They told me they would bring is Sunday, keep in mind all the times for delivery are 4 hours. On day 3 my delivery time was 10:30-2:30& they never showed.@ this point whn I clld to the Burbank store I said we can just schedule a pck up for all furniture& give me my$ bck because I have been dealing with this since July. We made a deal to have $200 removed off my remaining balance& scheduled the delivery for Tues. Tues came& the drivers did not want to lift the dresser around a truck parked in my drive way&onto my porch. The keys to the truck in my driveway were with my hsbnd in his wrk trck. He said he was on his way. The drivers said they could not wait. I brought up the a previous dispatcher said you guys wait 15 mins, they say 15 mins from when we first park the truck. They had 4 mins left. I pleaded with them as my husband said he was 15 mins away. They had previously been in my home as they were taking the dresser that was missing paint while in my home they left their clip board with the rest of their routes for the day. They realized they left the clipboard inside& I said I would go look for it. I was stalling trying to buy time, they asked to come in&look for it& I denied them. My husband arrived, by this time their manager told them because I did not give them their clipboard do not deliver the dresser. I pleaded with them saying I have been dealing with this since July& I still have to make monthly payments. The next morning a deliver came to drop off a dresser and it was already damaged, he said he would return by evening. I highly doubted it, but he showed up with my dresser undamaged&connected the mirror &took the damaged one. I went to Ashley in Burbank, per numerous phone calls, with the intention to have $200 removed from my balance as well as started my 90 days no interest over& a $300 credit for the Ashely store. During the time period they changed their policy&were no longer doing24 month contracts only 19. When the new contract was being set up they did not include $200 off, they informed because the credit department is separate from the actual Ashley store and the transaction already happened they can not change the amount (that's not what was said over the phone btw I live is Culver City pretty far from Burbank). After going back and forth I suggestion the $300 credit from Ashely be used towards my balance, once again they can not due that because the credit department is separate. So I said just go ahead and give me the rest of my gift cards (they had given me two $50 gift cards upon arrival because they were aware I was coming and knew the long history of this situation) so I asked for the rest of the gift cards and to proceed with this contract my monthly payment came out to be higher, this is because they did not apply any payments made for the start of this contract (it's a new contract so it's like day 1) only after and my monthly payments were more than previously. The total was less but monthly was more which is an inconvenience to me. I did not agree to those terms and they told me I had no choice as the previous contract was already cancelled, so at this moment there is no contract between me and Ashley or their credit department. I said well thank you for the furniture, they said I could not do I said well take me to court. They said they would, I said I'd love to see a judge that will make me pay you any more money and we have no contract. read more

This was one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had to deal with. First of all, they don't really let you browse at your leisure. Someone will hover annoyingly around you as you walk through the displays. Then, as you start to discuss the packages, you'll realize the number of items to choose from is a lot more limited than advertised. Anyway, we really needed new couches, so my husband and I powered through the experience. We bought a living room set which came with a sofa, a love seat, a table set, 2 lamps, a rug, and a few tabletop accessories. The man who helped us was friendly enough, though he asked about our ethnicities which was off-putting to say the least (how is that relevant, sir?). The delivery for the large furniture pieces went smoothly, and the delivery men were apparently very considerate (my husband received everything while I was at work). The main issue came up when our rug wasn't delivered by the date we were told to expect it. We called once or twice a week for more than a MONTH. They told us it was en route and would arrive the following week about four times. Then they told us the warehouse was being moved and so there were delays. Then they told us they were shipping the item to the store, and at one point told us the rug was discontinued. Finally, we just told them that we wanted a refund because we were tired of getting the runaround every time we called them, and that's when their tune changed. Suddenly, the rug was there and ready to be picked up. We just picked up the rug from the store (which was more work than necessary because they wouldn't ship it to our house as promised), and we are done with this company. I was very hesitant to even set foot in this store based on the reviews however my girlfriend insisted that her previous purchases and experiences were excellent so I decided to see what they have, We were greeted by Harout who was very nice and wasn't pushy at all. We were looking for a coffee table and end table and found what we wanted, Harout did a good job of setting up everything and we left to wait for delivery. I appreciated the prompt and efficient text messages and phone calls that I received and the delivery was on time. We are very happy with the quality of the two pieces we received and have zero complaints about anything. It is interesting to me that they put so much of an emphasis on obtaining their credit and receiving a discount on the purchase as long as you use their credit, my only complaint. read more

I purchased some living room furniture from Ashley in August 2020 that was supposed to be delivered in Sept. 2020, then it was supposed to be delivered in Oct, that didn't happen, then it was scheduled for Nov 14th, well guess what, that didn't happen either. I have been talking to the store, the warehouse and everyone is telling me the same thing, they don't know what happen. Ashley Homestore took our order online on 4/18 and still has not processed our payment. After two weeks we began to inquire about our order over customer service chat, over the phone, and over email. We have been unable to receive any information about how to process or cancel our order. While the order remains "open" in my account, and we received a delivery date, my order cannot be tracked. I cannot find any information our items are actually being shipped. Two agents we spoke with on the phone, after waiting 30-40min each time, told us "our system is down" and "I'm not in the office right now" respectively. Both, of course, are lies. Both agents took down our name, phone number, and order number promising to have someone call us back. No one ever did. The last agent told us our order had to be canceled in-store. When we drove to the store 20 miles away, we were told that online orders and in-store orders are completely different. Another lie from the corporate office. Making another attempt at chat assistance today, I stayed in the chat (by typing in the chatbox periodically) for 3 hours after being told I would be connected with an agent. I was never connected with an agent. This pandemic is a tough time for all of us; it is the deceptive advertising and customer service I'm objecting to. It is clear Ashley Homestore furloughed the majority of its corporate employees while it still took online orders, never intending to have the agents to process them, and making it impossible for customers to cancel them after weeks of limbo, and instructed the customer service reps it maintained to lie. Was introduced to Charles S. at arrival of Ashley in Staten Island. Friendly smile and firm hand shake put me and my family feeling confident that our needs will be met. He listened what are requirements were and understood what we needed. Showed us a variety of the products and the prices. We didn't come to a conclusion left the showroom and visited Raymor & Flanagan. We didn't see anything over there and went back to Ashley. We went over the furniture again and reached an agreement. Can I give 0 stars? The salespeople here are shady shady shady!! First of all, the quality of the furniture is not that good. It is definitely overpriced for what you get. My dining room table is already blistering and falling apart after 2 months. My bedroom set came with pieces broken (slats were broken) and I am STILL communicating with customer service to receive replacement slats after 2 months. I have been sleeping in a bed that is sinking for 2 months now. Ugh! They also sold me boxsprings to a mattress that I did not need or request! They ended up taking it back and returning the money but this took weeks and a lot of arguing to finally happen. They KNEW I did not need the boxsprings because I bought my bedroom set here so they knew what kind of bed I bought! Shady shady shady...so beware. They also tried to sell me a mattress cover without me knowing (an extra $120). Since I was purchasing so many things I didn't even notice it was thrown in there until right before I made the purchase and I had to tell them to take it out. We bought a WHOLE HOUSE of furniture from Ashley Furniture, and we regret every dollar spent! The material is beyond crap, that our coffee table is starting to bubble on one side. Our dinner room table came scratched to hell, and the delivery boys could barely speak English, so no help there. When you try to call Ashely Furniture in Burbank CA, you get NO ANSWER! There manger Amy is 'Always on the phone, or out of the office".... such horrible service. My experience has been nothing but bad with this company. I highly DONT recommend this company! read more
