The showroom service from this store was exceptional. Emik went above and beyond to provide the best customer service we've had in a while. 100% a great sales associate. The only reason it's a 4/5 stars is because dealing with the company's warehouse was a nightmare. But overall when the warehouse will mess up we will contact the store and they will fix any delivery issue. We will definitely go back to work with Emik again. read more

Bait and Switch! Do not buy from Ashley Furniture. Just don't bother. You will be disappointed. Here is the first sign we've should've been more aware of (our fault for not asking): THEY HAVE NO RETURN POLICY! In other words, they do not accept returns. They reserve the right to refuse returns for items NOT defective. NOT Defective, does not mean poor quality. The sales person didn't exactly make it clear about the return policy, lack there of. He did mention that you HAVE TO REFUSE UPON DELIVERY if noticed damages for defects upon delivery, but didn't make it clear that it was because they do not accept returns for any reason after you accept and sign for your sofas. For such an important big purchase, and for this type of purchase (furniture) its hard to really decide, in the short time the delivery guys are there, if the sofas that are DELIVERED to you are to your liking. What you see in store is not what you get at delivery. Things got further complicated because we bought the 14-piece set. Didn't care for anything other than a Sofa and Loveseat. But I believe that this is Ashley's business model. The sofa and loveseat that we were interested in were $695 and $675 for a total of $1370. Or go for the same sofa and loveseat and end tables, coffee table, rug, throw, lamps, and wall-art and it all of it will be $999. So again, all I was interested in was the sofa and loveseat, which alone are $1370 or the whole set for $999(the same sofa and loveseat included). So of course I went for the set. It made sense, but non of their stuff is anywhere near the retail value, its all made in China. The sofas drop to about $200 with the packaged deal (which is what they are really worth) but i'm guessing they make all their Delivery day eventually came and sofa didn't fit in my hall way door, so that was just going to be physically impossible. So I denied the the sofa. Now what are my options? Called the Sales rep that sold me the set, he said I can just pick out another loveseat. Same price though. Wasn't going to get any money back. (Originally they only $20 apart in price, so whatever.) Now since i denied the sofa, I wanted to check out the love seat, but the delivery guy was hesitant to unwrap it if I might refuse the whole delivery. So I accepted the delivery. I check out the loveseat for "damage" like the sales guy kept telling me to make sure I do, there was none. So by this time, the delivery guy walks out, cause i've already signed to accept it. I sit on the loveseat and it feels really nasty, lumpy. So I run out to delivery guy, cause, I'm not paying $1,400 plus with taxes and delivery fee, for 2 cheap loveseats and crap I never wanted. So I run out to catch the guy, only for him to tell its too LATE for him to take it back. He tells me I have to go to the store and say its defective since I have the warranty. (about $60) That was just a shady Suggestion. So I go the store immediately. I ask for manager right away, tell him I want to return everything and right way he tells me, "well, we have no return policy; we don't accept returns." Took some time to explain everything, and finally he decides to try to do something about it. "Emails" the delivery people to go back for the furniture. I ask him why he can't just call them directly. Turns out the delivery people are contracted by ashley. Long story short, i'm still waiting on them to pick up everything. The delivery person left packaging all over our apartment and wouldn't take the couch back. Miriam and Freddy at the Burbank store gave us no help and although we had to open a case with them, we have gotten no response. This experience has been traumatizing. Im not even joking. False promises and blantant lies are the only thing thats been consistent in the last 3 month wait for my $4k worth of furniture. They have delivered the wrong furniture and then broken furniture. They have said they were coming and then didnt showed up with not even a phone call to let me know what was going on. When the correct furniture did come it was thrown together sloppy with random parts shoved under the bed so i wouldn't see until later how corners were cut on the assembly.. truly unbelievable. Went to Ashley's furniture to purchase some couches, a bed, and a dining room table. Our sales associate was Silva. She was very friendly and personable when showing us some of the set pieces. Then when it came down to buying the couch, we found the one we liked the most would not be delivered at a time that was convenient. We looked for other couches that would be delivered at a reasonable time. We finally found a couch that was similar and that we liked. Silva said this couch would be delivered on the 15th, (January) So we took it because it was convenient for us to have it delivered. (Realize all the other couches would be delivered on the 20th and above, which we couldn't do.) So, we bought the couch. Up until this point we had the belief that our couch would be delivered on the 15th. It's the 14th now and we are just finding out that our couches won't be delivered unto the 20th! All day today we've been calling Ashley's Furniture to get in touch with Silva to get this sorted. On our paperwork she wrote down the furniture would be delivered on the 15th! We called her in the morning and she wasn't there. She was suppose to come in at 1pm. We called her again around 1:30pm and she was with a client. Then around 5pm she still hadn't gotten back to us. We called up again and were told that Silva was not available (even though she was there). My mom said that she most be avoiding us on purpose. Terrible customer service. We bought a bed and a tv stand from this location, and paid $180 for "premium" delivery and setup. Sales team was good but it seems like once we paid in full up front, all service dropped off a cliff. Our tv stand was not delivered and we were not notified until I was signing off on the deliveries. Delivery team then told us we would be contacted within 24 hours of next delivery. Turns out the item was on back order. 3 weeks later, still no calls, emails, or texts as to when we would see the tv stand. I dropped the customer service line a complaint and they assured me I would be contacted by the end of the week. Didn't happen. Finally we get a notification that the tv stand is being delivered. Delivery window comes up and I call the delivery man, Victor Vasquez, to coordinate the delivery. He did not answer any of my calls or texts. My pregnant wife let's them into our home and tells them where she wants it setup. They got her to sign for the furniture and when she turned back around, Victor was gone. I attempted to contact him again and was unable to reach him. Not only is it incredibly frustrating to pay for the furniture, in full, up front and not have any clue when you will receive it, but the fact that the delivery company employs people that will take advantage of a pregnant woman like this utterly disgusting. It came exactly as promised, and was assembled by two delivery men. It was in fine condition. We didn't read reviews until after we bought, and we saw no shortage of bad reviews, which made us worry a bit, but our own experience was great. Will the sofa hold up in a year or two? I paid for the 5 year protection plan - and after getting hung up in an endless customer service phone loop with the protection plan provider, I was told that Ashley had to fix it, as it was still under the 1 year manufacturer's warranty. I called their customer service and was told it would take 10 days to get someone over to look at the chair. I waited the 2 weeks, and a guy shows up (outside of the 2 hour window that they quoted) and tells me there is a problem with their truck.... He doesn't have any tools or parts with him - EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW THE MAKE AND MODEL OF THE CHAIR. He says he has to order the part - they will ship it directly to me, and I have to call back for another appointment. 8 days later the part comes, and I call to get an appointment. They say they will come by today (11/22) but refuse to give me a time window. I've been waiting since 7:00 a.m. - it's now 4:53 p.m.and STILL NO TECH. I have called customer service 10 times today, and can't get anyone on the phone to give me a status update. This place is fraudulent. Went in to buy a couch. The salesman said it was $699, but he could take off 34%. This brought the cost down to $461.34. Cool, we're saving some money on a couch. He then pitches us a $49.99 warranty, which we politely decline. He then says he'll bring down the cost of the couch so he can throw in the warranty. Wow, that was so nice of him, we think! So he charges us $416 for the couch, $49.99 for the warranty, and $69.99 for the delivery. We thought we walked out with a deal. Wrong. I go home and find the same exact couch on their website. IT COST $398.99! This guy conned us into buying a warranty and made us pay more for the couch! I used to work in retail and know salesman make their commission on the warranty. It's disgusting that this guy bakes the warranty into the cost and makes you think you're getting a deal. So I call up the next day and tell him what's up. He acts like he didn't know anything and is happy to give us the difference back. We drive back and he gives me back $70 and has the nerve to tell me to come back to him anytime. This place is criminal. They should be ashamed of themselves. There are working families in there with children and these charlatans are charging more for their products than whats on their website and baking in the warranty so they can get the kick back. Went into the Burbank store to purchase a bedroom set. Found an amazing set we loved and decided to finance it through them. We were there over 4hours going back and forth over pricing. First of all they charged us for each piece of the bed. A bed that is priced at $1200 turned into a $2200 bed plus the $500 dresser and $200 mirror. Then the mattress....OH MY GAWD what a hassle. The mattress was $2147 which included a $400 base and $200 mattress cover we told the we didn't want but they kept adding on anyway. By the time it was all over they totaled us out at almost $7 grand. We were so taken back because "what the hec did we buy?!". Literally the next day we changed our minds and decided to just order it online and get the mattress from mattress firm. We called and canceled, they told us the cancellation went through, 2 days later called again and the rep I spoke with didn't even see it in the system so she "sent out another cancellation" and told me I'd receive a call/email. I never received the call or the email. So I called again and spoke with someone at the store and she told me we had to come into the store to cancel. We get there and the store manager is asking us "why do you want to cancel?" Blah blah, we tell him. He attempts to give us a cheaper price but kept adding on the mattress cover with other things and the total was still coming over $4 grand so we just wanted to cancel and it was like they wouldn't let us. When asked to speak to someone about more information on the continued "Backorder" we were told there is no one to talk to, and no additional information could be provided by anyone.
