let me tell you the whole day I went to different furniture stores here in town. I was disappointed in the way I was treated. sales people were pushy to the point they were rude. I decided to give it the last try. I am very happy I did. Sasha was absolutely amazing! upon entering she greeted me was not pushy at all gave me my space and allowed me to browse without the pressure and hassle. poor thing I unleashed my whole shopping experience on her and she was the sweetest listened to me and really just treated me really nice. Karlie is the absolute best. She was very helpful and patient when choosing a living room set. My living room is difficult to furnish but she helped us find couches that were perfect. We even got a free mattress with our purchase and tons of discounts. I also bought an entertainment stand and end tables. Hello Everyone, I don't usually let things get to me - except when it comes to terrible Customer Service. It's probably because I make a living through it, and I have always strived to provide world class customer service. I can honestly say that today I officially received the worst, most uncaring, and disengaged customer service I have ever experienced from Ashley Furniture. We bought a sectional over the weekend, and not one time in the entire process was there anything posted or said about returns. Not during the sales, purchase, or delivery did anyone mention there were no returns period. It now feels like we were been completely deceived. If it would have been posted I would have never even walked in the door. Honestly! My wife called and asked if she could return the wedge piece because it didn't work with our home. We bought all pieces separately so we thought this would not be an issue. Well we were wrong. With no care at all - they said we don't to that. "It's in your home right? Well then it's yours, not ours, you own it" and my personal favorite- "I'm not gonna lead you on. We will not be taking anything back" among other things stated. There was no apology, empathy or even an inkling of caring at all about our concerns. So I went down and was greeted with the same disregard. I spoke to 3 different employees/ managers, who all apparently missed the customer service training. What's ironic is that they had great customer service when I was buying the product, but it all went out the window as soon as I had a concern. Ashley furnitures lack of return policy is ridiculous. Their lack of communication of it and especially their treatment of their customers is unacceptable. It's obvious that their training in customer service is lacking as well. Please everyone who reads this please post and share this so I can be heard and Ashley furniture will understand the issue about their customer service. If any of you have had any issues or concerns with Ashley furniture in the past please post and share them as well. At this point, it's not about getting what I want for getting the item returned. We made a large purchase here a couple years back because they had a nice leather sectional sofa on sale, and we ended up buying it. Went to store, saw it, tested it out, liked it, and made our purchase. It's our favorite piece of furniture in the living room and it basically takes up the entire space. Comfortable too. We purchased a twin mattress and loft bed frame for my daughter. Salesperson Marvin helped us out. He told us many things that didn't turn out to be true. We explained clearly to him why we were there and what we needed. He assured us he understood our needs and concerns. First off, we had seen a bunk bed set that we liked a lot more at Mor furniture. Unlike Ashley furniture, Mor furniture is a professional and honest establishment and told us that the bunk bed was on back order and wouldn't be in until September. We were wanting something soon as my daughter is starting kindergarten in a few weeks. We explained this to Marvin, he assured us it would arrive on 7/19/22. The delivery date is also noted in our paperwork. From this information alone we were sold due to the time frame we were told by Marven. My husband and I also explained that we needed the frame assembled. We even joked that we didn't trust ourselves to assemble the frame and feared our daughter would fall through. Marvin said it would be no problem to have it assembled. What he failed to tell us was that the bed frame was "direct shipment" meaning it could possibly be on back order and when an item is "direct shipment" it cannot be assembled. All this information I was told to by the store manager after only my mattress showed up to my house on 7/19/22. Before leaving the store on the day of purchase, we were told that due to our location we were going to be "first on the delivery list" and to make sure we were up early and ready to go. My husband and I did just that. We throughout my daughter's old bed and moved all her things to one side of the room to ensure the assembly team would have plenty of space to work comfortably. After waiting a few hours, I called the delivery number for an update and the agent informed me that we were actually last on the list and wouldn't be receiving our shipment until 2:30 p.m. I understand that all these issues are common when purchasing large furniture that needs to be delivered to home. My personal issue is all the lies I was told up until the point of delivery. My suggestion is to simply be honest with customers and the store would have much fewer negative reviews. Secondly, and even more concerning is the way I was treated after the fact. I was pushed through via phone call to the Bakersfield location three time before someone actually answered the phone. All the while my husband was trying to reach the store on his phone and could not get through that way as well. I spoke with a female costumer service member, and she was completely unprofessional. I asked why I was told the 19th as a delivery date and never told it could potentially be a back order. She never answered my question but provided useless information I was not asking for. She also stated that Marvin placed my order on "direct shipment" because I was concerned of the delivery price. Later, the manager told me "direct shipment" was the only order option for my frame. My question is, why did she say this to me? Was she trying to embarrass me and make it seem as though a cannot afford shipment and assembly prices? I never once expressed any concern of shipment and delivery prices to Marvin. As I stated before, not having the frame assembled is simply not an option for my husband and I. This costumer serve member continued to speak over me and frankly was extremely rude. When I told her to let me speak and spot interrupting me, she hung up the phone. Let me state that again, the costumer service member hung up the phone. I again called back and spoke with an agent who put me through to the store. I waited an absurd amount of time for someone to pick up. I spoke with the manager, which is when I finally received somewhat of an answer for all of the issues I was experiencing. He explained that the item is only a "direct shipment" item. He also explained the delivery time frame. He did defend Marvin, which is understandable, and said salespersons are trained to say shipment is anywhere from 8:30 am to 4 pm, which is great. Unfortunately, this is not what we were told. During this time, I found out "direct shipment" items are not assembled. I am thankful that I found this out over the phone and not when the frame was sitting Infront of myself and my 5-year-old daughter who is super excited about having a new bed. This was the moment I finally decided to go ahead and cancel my order. The manager also couldn't believe that the customer service member hung up on me. After reading the numerous amounts of negative reviews Ashley furniture has I am not sure why he wouldn't believe me or be as surprised as he was. Do not trust Ashley. We had to go out of town because of an emergency. 12/15/2020 while driving home we received a call from Ashley at 8:05 am telling us that they are at our door to make a delivery of a chair we ordered couple weeks back. We informed them that per the text we received from Ashley our scheduled delivery was to be between the hours of 9:15 am to 1:15 pm. We ask if he could come back at the schedule time and he replied that he could not. He said that we will have to call and reschedule the delivery. Why would you have to reschedule a delivery when you are at our house at the wrong time. He told us that he could not wait nor could he come back at the schedule time. We did call to re-schedule and were given a January 07, 2020. This was supposed to be a Christmas present. Because of Ashley's error we canceled our order. Check the fine print on the "price match gaurantee".... I found a dresser I liked for $699 that was 50% for $350 off and did a quick price match online. I found the same dresser at Oak liquidators for $267 after taxes out the door. The supervisor said he would take $50 off to $300 but then added some bs warranty for free and put $50 back on the price. Then added an outomatic delivery fee "I wanted to pick it up" of $50 and taxes....... The total came out to $432. Almost 50% cheaper at Oak liquidators for the same dresser. This place is a rip off, go to Oak liquidators they sale a lot of the Ashley brand product for 30%-50% cheaper. read more

I'm really frustrated. I ordered a sectional couch from Ashley the beginning of November. After being told it would arrive December 2, it was finally delivered on December 17. I was upset to see that the sectional delivered, is not the same color as the one I ordered. The color represented online is a greige, while the couch delivered is extremely gray. I have called the store several times and cannot every get in touch with a live person, only voice Mail. Just careful, predatory type of loans. Bought two couches that have definitely been very nice. Owed about $600 to pay off my bill and the interest that kicks in after your 6 months finally kicked in and it was over $400 extra. I've been working with John, the manager, for over a month to try to work with Ashley's warranty department to get money back for my 3 year old couch that is flaking and coming apart. I have gone into the store twice in person to discuss, and called twice. Their communication and follow-up is very poor. The salesman who sold me the couches, Mack, repeatedly lied to my face by saying, "The seating surfaces are leather." I know leather wears just fine, so I bought it. Big mistake. On delivery day, I am supposed to get 2 barstools, a dining set, a sofa, loveseat and recliner. The delivery driver shows up with just the 2 barstools. He said the dining table was damaged and he wouldn't take it like that. He had no record of the other items. So I call and they say I have to pick up those items in warehouse. Poor store. They don't care about their customers. My parents order furniture months ago and just now got HALF OF IT. They text my mom tell her they would elicit one day and the day of delivery we called to see when they were coming and they said that we aren't getting anything delivered. They delivered half of their stuff a month later. When we went to go get a refund for the half we didn't get, they had another family getting a refund for not getting their order as well.
