I see an awesome promo on Ashley online. It says in store purchase only. So I go to the store in Bakersfield. They didn't even know about this promo. Once they looked it up they didn't honor it. Then after waiting an hour with an online customer service agent. Just to hear that they couldn't do anything about it. I posted 2 pictures one is the promo they didn't honor and the second is Ashleys response to losing a customer. Smiling face emoji nice! I'm glad that your happy To lose a customer. Don't shop here they don't care about there customers! read more

I thought plenty with regards to this review. Truthfully the 2.5 stars it has on yelp is pretty on point. Though a few will have 5 star ratings, most 1 to 2. I gave it three because i have bought plenty of furniture here and will probably buy more when the deals come through and I like the furniture I've bought. Its lasted. The biggest issue for me wasn't the floor guy - Kevin - my sales associate who greeted me at the door was kind and respectful. He didn't follow me around, just simply offered his services. So in loyalty - first come first serve - when my wife and I were ready we called on him. To make a long experience short. What it came down to is this. $70.00!! It isn't that the store has bad customer service its that the store has bad leadership. Everything flows from the top down. I know, i managed retail and commission based stores in my past and IF (we didn't thank God) my store 2.5 reviews, i would have fired myself! Anyways... I bought a discontinued floor model item with an added feature the store added to display it, i didnt want it and asked them to take it off. They said ok, came back and said they would offer it to me at a discounted rate if i took it. I said whats the offer... they offered me a low price and i didn't like the offer, said no thank you, ill just take the Item as "advertised" and they came back with a ridiculously LOW LOW OFFER. Then i knew they need to get rid of it cause they probably bundledit togethe hoping itll sell... I WAS RIGHT.... I still didn't want. I had absolutely no use or need for it. Maybe they should have advertised it as such and we would be in this mess.... the sales rep KEVIN was trying all he could to be the middle man and im grateful for him and is the ONLY reason this establishment didn't get the 1 star rate. Sum it up i said ill take it. But that started a whole new mess of problems where in fact it didn't need to go..i had already been approved a year or two ago..i had the financing, i had the cash.. i just wanted my piece and out but noo. The management should have taken the opportunity to just wow the customer - waived the 70 bucks gave me my original deal and we would have had a great review BUT that didn't happen. Needless to say YELP and other reviews listing sites tell you alot about what you do and how you do it.. products may be great, a person or two might be great but when the insiders and up toppers ain't got peoples best interest in mind.... it shows. Nuff said. read more

Just left Ashley Furniture Bakersfield and have to say Adrian and George were wonderful to work with. Great price and quick delivery date!! Will update when I can post a picture!! read more

I wish I was able to give them zero stars because that's what they deserve... Today I saw this pretty Little interest charge on my account for $1,100!!!!! For a payment we made 3 years ago. They promised interest free financing little do they tell you is that once that term is up and if you still have a balance on your account you will be tacked on with all of the interest that would of occurred in the past 3 years... Absolutely furiated. read more

Just a word of advice. Much of the furniture at Ashley home store should be THOROUGHLY inspected before signing off upon delivery. Our delivery person did not review the functioning of our sofa and chairs and did not insure that it was functioning before leaving. YOU MUST DO THIS YOURSELF - review all functions with the delivery person before you sign off. It is likely that something will not work properly - for us, one of the chairs we bought would not recline - OH YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK, too bad "you signed off on the delivery." I expected that since we called the store immediately after we discovered the problem (may 10 minutes after the delivery), we might get a replacement that works. NOPE. Just be aware. read more

The service at this location is absolute garbage! I have had so many issues dealing with them. Even after my transaction being transferred to the Visalia location and getting charged BY Visalia for my delivered product. It has been over a month and my transaction is still showing pending from this location. I have called multiple times and have not received a call back from the manager to fix the issue. I have also spoken to a male manager about other issues I was having and he was not professional about the situation. I have never in my life dealt with worse customer service. EVERYONE BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION! Once they get your money they do not care about you as a customer, whatsoever. read more

This store is a complete joke. Absolutely horrible service. Incompetent. We ordered a $1500 bed and mattress for our son. Paid cash in full. Everything was delivered 3 weeks later and all wrong with no mattress. Call to get things figured out and someone changed our order, we had the invoice. Come to find out the mattress is on back order. Talked to 2 different managers, Carlos and Eric. They just tell you what you want to hear but don't do anything about it. We are now at 6 weeks still no bed, we got rid of our sons old bed right before the first delivery. Of course our first reaction is to just get a refund, but to start all over will also be a pain. Do yourself a favor and don't even start the process here! read more

I've purchased all of furniture here over the last few months and the service has been average at best. I continue to purchase my furniture at Ashley, mainly because of the lack of other local options. However, during the most recent trip to purchase my living room furniture, I had a unexpectedly pleasant experience. I spoke with the new manager, who was both professional and helpful and I was able to order my furniture quickly and with ease. Additionally, the atmosphere was calm and inviting, which was a new experience for me in this store. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. Went in just wanting to price match THEIR OWN website. Tanya was incredibly rude and condescending. The prices were at least $500 more than what was listed online after taxes and ridiculous made up fees. Save yourself the trouble and just buy online, or better yet buy local. read more

My wife and I bought a sectional sofa for around $3k about 2 weeks ago at Ashley Furniture in Bakersfield on Rosedale Hwy. When they delivered it the pieces came in boxes that were just dropped off in my living room. I asked if they'd unwrap and take the boxes? They said I didn't pay for that service. I would have, if I knew that was an option. The salesman was too interested in selling me the insurance and didn't offer that to me. When I finally got to un-box the couch later that evening, I noticed that the middle sections were a different color than the end sections, the seams were in different places and the pieces didn't align along the back. It looked like two different couches were pieced together. I went to the store the next day. They told me a technician would contact me within 24 hours. After 24 hours, I contacted the store again. They told me sometimes it takes 48 hrs. After 48 hrs I contacted them again. It took their customer service 6 days to finally contact me and didn't come out to see the couch until 2 weeks later. He finally came out today. He agreed it didn't match but couldn't do anything about because he was just there to fix anything that was broken and make sure the part numbers matched the receipt. I guess if the part numbers match the receipt, it doesn't matter that the actual couch doesn't match what I purchased. The technician actually went to the same Ashley store that I bought the couch from to compare to the floor model. He called me from there and agreed it wasn't the same couch but couldn't do anything about it because the part numbers matched the receipt. I left work to go down to Ashley, for the now 4th time, to see what my options are-get a refund or a new matching sectional? I spoke with I think his name was Manual, the manager. He was very rude. He had spoken to the technician and heard his story about my couch not matching. I asked "what are my options"? He said the would contact customer service but didn't know if they could fix the issue. Then I asked for a refund. He said "all sales are final, it's in the contract and the part numbers matched. So I guess if the part numbers match, and even if it's obviously a defect or not even the same matching sectional pieces, you cannot receive a refund or maybe even a new couch because "all sales are final, it's in the contract". Please take a look at the attached pics. I advise not doing any business with Ashley Furniture. They can drop something off at your house after you've already paid and you can do nothing about it if it's flawed, broken or look's nothing like what you actually thought you purchased. read more

I been a customer at this location for a couple of years. I walked in i guess on a wrong day ...i understand they are busy due to the Veterans sale but please make sure you have staff that want to work. I had to come to the front and ask for help not once but twice. The 1st gentleman said he had to take a call. His name was George to be exact i was not very happy with that decision. Then he never came back so i dont think he wanted my business. I came up to a 2nd gentleman by the name of Kevin he greeted me with a smile and asked me what he can help me with. He was also helping other customers at the same time, while other employees were too busy watching the FOOTBALL GAME. They were shouting and yelling in the store which i thought was very unprofessional. If you dont want to be their why come in to work. I also seen the other employees were bothered by this. It made me feel like if i was in a bar not a furniture store. Anyways enough about the lazy employee sitting at a computer desk pretending to work. I just want to give a shout of to Kenneth Preston.......for taking his time to deal with us. We had a million questions and he answered with a smile. I just said Thank you very much for helping me. He responded "thats what im here for "!!! 5 stars Kevin and if you need some help just ask for him. Let him know i highly recommended him. Thank you for making it easy for me on that busy day. They need to hire more people like you. read more

Extremely disappointed with Ashely. We bought a living room set a few weeks ago that was supposed to be delivered by today. My roommate was at work all day and I'm out of the state on a work related trip. We arranged for one of our friends to be at our home so that the delivery ran smoothly. It's now 3:45pm and we finally got word from Ashley furniture that today was not our day for the delivery. They are claiming that they spoke to one of us two and confirmed for a different date, which is all bull shit! Why would we confirm for a different date when we have the paperwork stating a delivery date of 2/16?!? We spoke to the LA office and the girl there said they had a different date BUT that all of our furniture was there!!!! So either the LA office fucked up or the Bakersfield office fucked up. We have tried to call the Bakersfield office and they have been giving us the run around. Telling us they will call us back In "10 mins" and not following through! We threw out our old living room set to clear out for today and now we don't have shit!! Extremely annoyed and disappointed with them but apparently this happens often with Ashely's. Wish I would have known before. read more

Tomika was amazing! She was very helpful in finding a great bedroom set for my daughter. Very friendly and patient.

My boyfriend and I bought a bedroom set about a month ago and the experience was horrible. We were indecisive on what bedroom set we wanted and the sales lady was very disappointed when we ended up purchasing a bedroom set that was on sale. The sales person tried to convince us to buy the full priced bed room set. She even went as far as saying that the problem was that we could not afford the more expensive bedroom set. When we picked up our bedroom set we were waiting in the parking lot for about an hour. When they finally brought out the set they did not help us load it. The sales people are rude and so is the manager. read more

Hello Everyone, I don't usually let things get to me - except when it comes to terrible Customer Service. It's probably because I make a living through it, and I have always strived to provide world class customer service. I can honestly say that today I officially received the worst, most uncaring, and disengaged customer service I have ever experienced from Ashley Furniture. We bought a sectional over the weekend, and not one time in the entire process was there anything posted or said about returns. Not during the sales, purchase, or delivery did anyone mention there were no returns period. It now feels like we were been completely deceived. If it would have been posted I would have never even walked in the door. Honestly! My wife called and asked if she could return the wedge piece because it didn't work with our home. We bought all pieces separately so we thought this would not be an issue. Well we were wrong. With no care at all - they said we don't to that. "It's in your home right? Well then it's yours, not ours, you own it" and my personal favorite- "I'm not gonna lead you on. We will not be taking anything back" among other things stated. There was no apology, empathy or even an inkling of caring at all about our concerns. So I went down and was greeted with the same disregard. I spoke to 3 different employees/ managers, who all apparently missed the customer service training. What's ironic is that they had great customer service when I was buying the product, but it all went out the window as soon as I had a concern. Ashley furnitures lack of return policy is ridiculous. Their lack of communication of it and especially their treatment of their customers is unacceptable. It's obvious that their training in customer service is lacking as well. Please everyone who reads this please post and share this so I can be heard and Ashley furniture will understand the issue about their customer service. If any of you have had any issues or concerns with Ashley furniture in the past please post and share them as well. At this point, it's not about getting what I want for getting the item returned. It's the principle and the fact that we spent a lot of money with them and then we were severely mistreated. We also need to prevent anyone from making the same mistake. #ashleyfurniture #worstcustomerserviceever Janeece Thompson read more

We made a large purchase here a couple years back because they had a nice leather sectional sofa on sale, and we ended up buying it. Went to store, saw it, tested it out, liked it, and made our purchase. It's our favorite piece of furniture in the living room and it basically takes up the entire space. Comfortable too. Prices are reasonable, but may not be the most affordable. Delivery was pretty smooth, too. read more

Fake leather comes apart! I've been working with John, the manager, for over a month to try to work with Ashley's warranty department to get money back for my 3 year old couch that is flaking and coming apart. I have gone into the store twice in person to discuss, and called twice. Their communication and follow-up is very poor. The salesman who sold me the couches, Mack, repeatedly lied to my face by saying, "The seating surfaces are leather." I know leather wears just fine, so I bought it. Big mistake. Now I have a love seat and sofa that are flaking to pieces. No dogs, no kids. Just two adults with light use. Stay away from these lying snakes. read more

Do not trust Ashley. We had to go out of town because of an emergency. 12/15/2020 while driving home we received a call from Ashley at 8:05 am telling us that they are at our door to make a delivery of a chair we ordered couple weeks back. We informed them that per the text we received from Ashley our scheduled delivery was to be between the hours of 9:15 am to 1:15 pm. We ask if he could come back at the schedule time and he replied that he could not. He said that we will have to call and reschedule the delivery. Why would you have to reschedule a delivery when you are at our house at the wrong time. He told us that he could not wait nor could he come back at the schedule time. We did call to re-schedule and were given a January 07, 2020. This was supposed to be a Christmas present. Because of Ashley's error we canceled our order. We have been trying to get a refund, what a nightmare. read more

Check the fine print on the "price match gaurantee".... I found a dresser I liked for $699 that was 50% for $350 off and did a quick price match online. I found the same dresser at Oak liquidators for $267 after taxes out the door. The supervisor said he would take $50 off to $300 but then added some bs warranty for free and put $50 back on the price. Then added an outomatic delivery fee "I wanted to pick it up" of $50 and taxes....... The total came out to $432. Almost 50% cheaper at Oak liquidators for the same dresser. This place is a rip off, go to Oak liquidators they sale a lot of the Ashley brand product for 30%-50% cheaper. read more
