I have been waiting on furniture since june 2013... (Its now 2015!!) It was for my little girl. I have tried to communicate with the several times. We purchased a love seat on 9/26/15. We were told by the sales consultant, Rosa Ortega that she would call us when it came in and we could pick it up at the store . On 10/30/15 I called to see where my merchandise was. The lady told me she would research my order and call me "right back." I've never heard from her since. I tried to call Rosa at the number on her card but the recording said her VM was full. I went to the store and spoke with Rosa (10/30/15.) She told me they had "consolidated" their warehouses and all the furniture was now in Lubbock but she would arrange for free delivery. We made arrangements for delivery on 11/6/15. They called the day before to confirm delivery. It is now the afternoon of the delivery day and I've neither seen nor heard from them. We are going to purchase new dining furniture in the spring but will definitely NOT buy from Ashley Furniture. read more

I paid for and scheduled out of town delivery for table and chairs. When furniture came to store from warehouse they would only deliver it on one certain day and were going to charge me additionally if I couldn't be home on that one day after waiting 3 weeks for furniture. Would not work with me to deliver it another time and did not tell me when I purchased it that their delivery schedule was so inflexible. On 1-5-16, my husband and I went to Ashley to look at a mattress. The sales people (Alfredo and a manager?, not sure of his name) offered to throw in 2 pillows, one "free" and one reduced from $399 to $199 and give us 20 % off the regular cost of the mattress. (No price tags noted anywhere on the pillowboxes displayed). We were told if we took the pillows, once we used them we had to keep them "just like if you bought underwear". So we had been told there would be no returning pillows if we didn't like them. This was understood. The salesman then showed me 2 mattress covers, one for $139 and the other for $359. The mattress pad was extra, not apart of the "deal". (Also, no prices posted anywhere for the mattress pads either) We left the store to go compare at other sites. We decided to take the deal offered at Ashley because we wanted to try the pillows. I am always trying to find a good pillow due to neck problems and was willing to chance it even though we couldn't return the pillows if we didn't like them. I called the store and asked if we could get the mattress for $1800 along with the pillow deal they had offered. I said I did want to get a mattress protector also. The salesman agreed. I sent my husband to order the mattress and pay for and pick up the pillows and mattress pad. The salesman sent him home with the more expensive pad which was not the one I wanted. I had an appointment and was not able to go back to the store and my husband was not sure which pad so he came home with the one given. I thought no big deal, I'll just return it the next day and actually decided I wanted a different one at another store. When I tried to return the pad I was told there were no refunds only store credit. I didn't want store credit. They got a manager on the phone who said the same thing. I told them the salesman sent home the more expensive pad that I never said I even wanted. I said I had understood about the pillows and had agreed. My husband was not told about the no return policy. Unfortunately the pillows were not good for us so I'm already stuck with those. After much discussion and me getting more and more upset the manager agreed to let me exchange for the less expensive pad. I went to get the other one, there were only 2 types they sale that I had been shown. When I took it up front they said it would be $229!!!! This was not what I was quoted as the regular price ($139)the day before!!! After high pressure sales, I was now being scammed again!!! By this time I was very frustrated and mad. I left the mattress pad at the store and left. I then called my credit card company to try and stop payment on the pad. I would love to have stopped payment on the mattress but I do understand once you special order furniture you are committed to that purchase. I do not believe there is another company in this city that would not have allowed a return in 24 hours on an unopened product similar to this situation. After looking at the fine print, it does leave you to believe there are no refunds on FURNITURE. This is the return policy paragraph as written. (I do not consider a mattress pad to be furniture) Return Policy: Once furniture is delivered all sales are considered final. Due to the nature of special order process, we do not allow any returns or reselection of merchandise after furniture has been delivered. No refunds will be allowed under any circumstances. After checking online the site for Bedgear, I noted the regular price for the exact same pad is 209.99! $150 dollar mark up by Ashley! The pillows were marked up also. The Bedgear Thunder 1.0 pillow (Ashley price $199, regular Bedgear site -not on sale-$179.99! The Bedgear Lightning 2.0 (Ashley price $399 vs regular price on Bedgear site-179.99!!!!) Buyer beware! Ashley Furniture is a scam!!!! Poor poor business ethics!!! As for the mattress, we have not received it yet. We are concerned we are getting the same one we bought. The requisition has a different mattress name listed with a price above the actual mattress we ordered? We did question this and were assured we were getting the right mattress. Worst place ever. Terrible customer service, and your order is 100% going to be wrong. all the sales people care about is your commission. My order has been wrong on every piece of furniture that I have ordered, and when I call them to try and correct the issue, and I am told that I AM IN THE WRONG! I picked out TWO pieces a couch and a bed, and the order has been a nightmare since I signed the paperwork. DON'T FALL INTO THE TRAP!!! My bed arrived first, and I had issues with that, however, that got corrected for me once I called the store.... took time away from my day while at my job, and while aggravating, it was resolved. However the couch arrived today, and that is where shit hit the fan. They sent me the wrong couch. Not what I ordered at all, and in fact missing my ottoman. It was the very first piece I ordered, and the most important. I was under the impression the grand total that I was given was including this price. Nope. apparently I am in the wrong, as I was told by the "manager" of the store. and get this, she wants me to PAY THEM MORE MONEY to have my order right, like I ordered it in the first place!!!!! This place is the pits. If it wouldn't cost me even more money, I would tell them to take their crappy furniture back. They do not care about the customer. Go to Bob Mills. I went in looking for a table and found a beautiful table I considered purchasing that day. Before the sales person gave me the price I decided to look online at the reviews but also looked at the price which would have been 1347.49 and the guy said he was going to try to give me a 20% discount which should have brought it to $1077.99. He came back and told me that he had to beg his manager but was able to get the price down to $1475.00 ...so my sister said what about $1300.00 since she knew it was close to the online price. He continued to say that was the lowest he could sale it for. Then I said we'll let me think about it since I knew how much it really was...he decided to get snappy and say if you leave and come back you won't get it for the price I offered. So I pointed out it was cheaper to buy it from the store online. Flustered, he began to say how the price didn't include delivery and I pointed out that neither did his price. We purchased a TV stand well over 5/6 weeks ago. My experience with the local store was fine and I gave the sales associate high marks on the review. (I now regret it.) On our first visit to the store, Rosa told us our wait time could be two weeks (very clearly stated) as they don't warehouse furniture locally in order to keep our costs down. I left to think about it, but did return to make the purchase. My husband said he thought he understood Rosa to say, on this visit, delivery could be 2-8 weeks. I regret purchasing with this store. I have since made several purchases through one of the many online retailers (Birch Lane, Joss & Main, etc.). It's no wonder local businesses are closing....furniture delivery wait times are so long. My online purchases have to be assembled, but the quality is good and comparable to my purchase from Ashley's, plus, I received my order within 5-7 days. I have since heard terrible stories about this company from my neighbors who have been waiting months for their furniture. Meanwhile, I wait and wonder if I am going to receive my furniture....still about 2 more weeks before reaching the 8 week mark. I wrote this post to warn potential buyers. I went in the store and was immediately swarmed by JT. He told me prices in blue were negotiable and prices in orange were not because they were already on sale (lie #1). I found a 5 drawer chest (B446-46) for $550, in orange, that I knew was way overpriced. After a quick 5 second search online I found it online for $266. JT said if I bought it from the other company I would have to assemble it upon delivery (lie# 2). Then he said he would match the price, I said great, place the order. He told me there was a mandatory delivery fee of $50 since shipments go directly to the customers; he said there was no way I could just pick it up at the store (lie #3). I caved in and agreed to $316. After taking my license and returning 10 minutes later he said he couldnt price match a competitor, just another Ashley's store?! What's the point of a price match if you can't match a competitor, JT? He said he could do $350. I chuckled and thanked him helping me choose the competitor. Read the other negative reviews, customers are way over charged in this store, even compared with other Ashley's. The whole company is terrible from the top down. Shady pricing, high pressure sales, and poorly made products. I was told the sales staff have to sell 20K a month, or they're fired. My husband and I never black Friday shop. However, we received a flyer about great doorbuster deals. We didn't think there would be too many people shopping for furniture. So, we went to the Amarillo store for a $99 recliner. We arrived and there were about 30-40 people in line by 6:45. We waited for the doors to open at 7:00pm and at 7:05, the manager's came out yelling at people to get back, get in line, settle down. Of course a few at the front of the line started arguing over there "place" in line and this only led to more rude yelling from manager's refusing to open until "everyone" settled down. At this point 10-15 people walked away saying, "Your not getting my money!" They then tell those of us not thoroughly pissed off enough to walk away We only have 5 of each doorbuster! Wtf? As I was two away from the door, I waited. Well, they were out of recliners early in the line. Why couldn't you just "yell" that out when it happened? I told the remaining line what I was told and saved several from the misery. I will never give Ashley Furniture my business, sale or not! And I was once again reminded why I will never do Black Friday anywhere. read more

ZERO STARS!!! My 10 year old special needs son is STILL sleeping on the FLOOR!! He used his SOCIAL SECURITY money to purchase a new bedroom suite. Never heard from them about when it arrived to the store and when it would be delivered - I called numerous times and was then told that even though I PAID A DELIVERY CHARGE that the sales person had no right to sell me a clearance bedroom set and say it could be delivered! Wait a minute - I paid for it to be delivered because like many people, cannot go pick it up....then after a visit with an attorney on my end, and a HUGE FIVE WEEK argument, they agreed to deliver it....then BACKED OUT AGAIN!!!!!! This place was horrible! The money spending they enjoyed but it took forever to get anything actually delivered. Ugh it was the ugliest experience ever. We had to call so many times to complain. If I could give them zero stars, I would! We had many great experience here when the old management was running things. The new management is a freaking joke! We ordered a bedroom suite for our son, and thought it was all going to be great like the other experiences....WRONG! The ordered the wrong part, fine our sales lady was new it's understandable as you learn. My first problem is the people processing and actually ordering it didn't catch it and NO ONE would stand there and help her. We were her fist sale, for goodness sake, someone help her! Nope. My next issue, the delivery guy said he would handle everything and get the right part, I had them store it while we moved, they held it about 3 weeks, in this time did nobody notice the double set of rails there? REALLY???? Fine, just make it right. They can't even do that! It took them over a month to get the right parts in (from other reviews if guess that's pretty lucky), and even then I had to ride their asses about getting it. The lady I talked to was never in the store when I would go in, and the person she would delegate to was too incompetent to actually help. I finally have all the parts, which I went and got and installed myself. They ruined their chances of making it right. After all the trouble all they offered to do was increase a $90 credit from the price difference to $100. I'd rather just have my money back. After that credit is gone, I WONT BE BACK. read more

First though about Ashley's was that they are a nice friendly store. My boyfriend and I bought a sleeper couch and a cocktail table. We were told in store that the mattress would be a foam mattress. Susan the sales lady there even showed up the display there of what the inside mattress would feel like. Thats what sold us because we were going to be using this sleeper everyday as a regular bed! Keep in mind we only have a studio apartment (college kids) so thats why we need the dual purpose of a couch and bed for our tiny space. Well we paid everything off got our items in August 2017. Well we open up the sleeper and the mattress is spring. We have called since August and they keep telling my boyfriend and I that they will call us back and fix it. Funny thing is they never call back. So now we sleep everyday on a awful spring mattress. That is just awful for our back and the springs are so visiable that I sometimes wake up with bruises and of course back pain. So no I won't recommend Ashleys here in Amarillo because they have awful customer service and arent willing to help you even if they say they are. They probably will never call you back! read more

I have no wish to do anymore business with people who take my money and refuse to give me what I bought. I want my money back. Customer representative Mario Contrares (spelling may be off) refused to give me the name of Mr. Choi, argued with me that he couldn't give it, then put me on hold until after 6:00 pm apparently in hopes that I would hang up. He checked the line several times before finally getting back on and giving this name to me. Obviously Mr Choi has reasons to dodge phone calls from customers. We paid cash for a sofa, which Ashley price matched after we showed them a similar one we wanted from another store (we got an extra 4% off, so it wasn't super impressive, but we thought it would save us driving back to the other store. Had I known what this store was like, I wouldn't have bought the couch here no matter the discount). The saleswoman was incompetent and tried for about 45 minutes to enter our order under the account of someone with the same last name as ours. All she managed to do before figuring it out was delete the other customer's information. It was all I could do not to jump on their computer and do it for her. We don't buy furniture often, so it didn't occur to us that they didn't keep things in stock like the other place we had shopped. We thought we could pick it up sometime during the week. AFTER they got our money, they told us that it would take 2-6 weeks to get the couch in, "but I've never seen it take more than two." It took six weeks exactly to get it in. Then, when we called to get our delivery time (their phones were off until after 10:30 on a Saturday, even though they open at 10:00), they said it would be as late as 7:00 p.m. (we were the last ones on the truck). So we told them to forget it and we went and picked it up ourselves. Fun fact: you don't get to look at your furniture before you take it home unless you're okay with putting it in the bed of your truck without its packaging, but you still have to sign something saying you inspected it. So it could be the wrong piece, damaged, or whatever. They give no refunds under any circumstances, and they won't let you cancel your order unless you pay a large (20%?) restocking fee. This company is shady and we had nothing but headaches. I will never buy anything from them again. When their phones wouldn't work this morning, I wondered if they had gone out of business-- I wouldn't have been surprised. read more

I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE BUY FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN. I bought a bedroom set from them. First my drawer did not fit in the bottom of the bed like it was suppose to, they said they will bring one out and they ended up mailing it to me. Second the mattress (memory foam) started to get a hump in it after about 6 months, called to get a new one (under warranty) after about 3 months never heard anything back after I was told that I was be getting a new one. Called them again and they said that the person handling that claim was no longer there so they started a new one. I called them back a few days later (they never called me) to find out what the status was and turns out the claim was denied because of improper bedding (box springs did not match due to me having to buy a new one because the one that I purchased from them broke in about 3 months because it was poor quality). They told me that the box springs did not need to be on the bed but yet they charged me for them. I asked for a number to corporate and they did not have one, I asked for the number to the manufacture of the mattress and they did not have one, I finally spoke with someone who gave me a number of the manufacturer of the mattress and it was the wrong number. I would just like to WARN anybody thinking about buying from them.....DO NOT DO IT. I bought 2 living room sets and a dining room set from BOB MILLS and will never use anybody else again, especially a sorry excuse for a business like Ashley's. I went there a month ago to get a bed for my daughter. The sales person that helped me was great. He is the reason I gave 2 stars and not one. I've had nothing but issues getting the bed here. When I placed my order I was told that part of the bed was already in stock and the other part will be ordered. While waiting for the part that was ordered to come in the delivery date was changed 3 times. The part finally comes in and they tell me my order will be delivered to my house on this given date.The day before the delivery date, I get a call saying that the part that had been in stock had "un-deliverable damage." I asked her why this wasn't checked when the initial order was placed?? I was told "we don't check that STUFF til the day before it goes out." So now we have another 4-6 weeks to wait for her bed pending no other damage. I do understand that it takes time for things to arrive and damage is possible but the delivery time could of been cut in half if the other part of the bed was checked when the order was placed. Needless to say I will never do business with them again. read more
