The salesman was super nice and acted very understanding of my situation. He seemed so caring and helpful and directed me to the mattress he was confident would meet my needs. It was comfy in the store, but I asked him, "If this feels different at home, what do I do?" and he said, "Then you know where to find me!" Sure enough, once they delivered it, I felt like I was lying on a completely different bed. It was hard as a rock. The display bed had a regular bed frame and box springs, but when they delivered what was supposed to be the exact same mattress, frame, and box springs, it was far higher than the display. I had to climb up into it, but the one in the store was much lower. I thought that was odd, but I still hoped it would be a great bed. It was not and has not been. Yes, I knew where to find him, and he told me then that all sales were final. Should have told me that when I asked what I'd do if I got it home and didn't like it instead of saying, "Then you know where to find me," as if he would remedy the situation. All he said was to give it time to break it in. Well, it hasn't even been five months, and it's broken in alright. It's sagging in the middle exactly like my last mattress was (but I'd had that one for many years), so I'm stuck with the exact same problem, and I haven't even gotten the bed half paid off yet. I recently purchased a mattress, box spring and bed frame from D&D Mattress. From the beginning I was in good hands. Upon selecting the mattress I wanted I asked if the special Memorial Day price would be good upon my return from a trip over the holiday. The salesman said if I put a deposit down, the price would be good. This was acceptable by me. Returning from my trip, I paid the balance, was informed the mattress would be delivered to the store, I would be contacted, and at that we could set a delivery date and time. Date and time were established. Mattress, etc., were delivered, ON TIME, by two friendly and polite young men, they quickly agreed the existing frame would work very well. They could return the purchased frame and I woud receive a refund. I said I would keep the frame as I would have need of it. Thank you D&D Mattress for your great service and employees! read more

This is my second time buying a mattress from D & D. Both times the service was great and the mattress very comfortable.

WORST MATTRESS I HAVE EVER SLEPT ON! Sales lady was very pushy with a fast purchase. Twin bed cost me over $500. Worst mattress that I have ever purchased. Two nights and there is a sink hole. My wife and I had been sleeping on a mattress for a couple years that we purchased from a different local company. We both had difficulty getting comfortable and sleeping through the night. We finally couldn't take it anymore and decided to look for a new mattress. We went to D&D because of a recommendation from another couple we know. When we walked in, we were quickly greeted. I explained to the salesman what we were looking for and he was more than happy to help us find the right mattress for us. He was very knowledgeable about the products and didn't pressure us into buying something. After doing 2 months of research and shopping 4 different places, we decided to do business with the "local" guys. Unfortunately since having slept on my new mattress only 2 weeks I am in constant pain in my shoulders, elbows and hands from my arms going "sleep" repeatedly during the night. I won't go into the sales pitch but this very expensive sterns & foster was supposed to relive all my pressure points etc..etc.. Two days after delivery the adjustable base broke down. We were told by the owner that they had nothing to do with repairs and gave us the manufacture phone number. The following week I decided I could stand the pain any more and went in to speak with them. No exchange, no refund and "have a nice day" was all I got. Just be aware that other mattress retailers offer both, exchange and refund! It is impossible to know if after spending thousands of dollars if the mattress will be comfortable. My advice is check all policy's for returns or problems with big purchases and don't be sucked into the "buy local" if they don't back their product or service. D&D will be more than happy to take your money but they could care less if you have "beautiful dreams" per their advertisement. read more

Spent $1500 here on multiple twin mattresses. 2 weeks later they arrive and I will be waiting 2 more days for delivery. I accidentally ordered an extra item (box spring that the new bed did not require, my mistake). I have asked for partial store credit. I was informed that this item is special order and cannot be returned and I cannot receive any credit. The store manager stated that they have no use for it, even though they sell the mattress set on the showroom floor. It is visible through the front window. In addition, while I was in the store there was another customer coming in to discuss the poor quality of the mattress he had purchased, as he had received no response over the phone. The sales person was not helpful, stating that the customer should have turned the mattress over periodically, that is why the mattress was breaking down only a few months after purchase. I only gave one star because there was no option for zero stars. I will NEVER do business here again. Although I was lucky to have only spent $140, it was for a pillow that has made it very painful to turn my neck from side to side after only a few days use. When I took the pillow back, I was trying to ask if there was anything that could be done. I was greeted by one of the owners who was very short with me and didn't even let me finish my explanation. He said that due to lice & bed bugs there was nothing he could do. Then told me "It's on the receipt. Have a good day. " In my opinion, someone with lice & bed bugs usually doesn't have $140 to spend on ONE pillow but what do I know? With him being an owner I know that there is always something that can be done. He only appeared to want to take my money and not offer any customer service at all!!! Furthermore he gave me no options only seemed to want to get me out of the store. Please do your research before purchasing from this business! They do not have a good customer service policy. Purchased a mattress less than two years ago from D & D, it has collapsed. Filed a warranty claim (resisted even giving us a claim form to file). They denied the claim. The bed is unsleepable. Owner is rude and not willing to work with you if you have a problem. Wasted $1300.00 on this mattress. Having to work directly with the manufacturer to resolve these issues. Not returns or exchanges for any reason! They never told us that! After 3 days of pain and not sleeping we are stuck with an expensive bed we can't sleep on. After sleeping on the bed for 3 horrible nights my wife and i decided to exchange it for another mattress. The bed is much harder than the one in the store. We though it would arrive the same and get even softer with use. I also asked if something was made in-between the firm and plush. I was told no, but after purchasing it I found out that brand does offer something in the middle. I went in to talk with the sales person and they told me it was illegal to accept returns. I know for a fact that most companies accept retunes for exchange and some will even refund you. I also asked if i could just pay some type of fee like restocking and get store credit towards another mattress. I was told that we will get use to the mattress and if we don't the only remedy is purchasing another. Then she pointed out on the bottomed of the receipt that states no refunds. I was not told that and know they did not point it out for a good reason. I should have gone to another store that had the same mattress for the same price and an exchange policy. I made a mistake trying to spend money with a local company. Don't let there commercials fool you. They only look out for there best interest. When the industry standard is to accept returns (some up to 90 days) D&D's policy is horrible and they did not let us know before purchasing it. read more

My husband and I were in the market for a new mattress. Dustin was helping another customer and I was impressed that he took his time with them until they were completely taken care and then he moved on to us. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about his products. He wasn't pushy and he was so easy to work with. He told us that we had a 100% comfort guarantee, meaning if we didn't like it we would be completely refunded. We chose a Sealy which comes with a 3 time 10 year warranty. Shopped around town and finally found a mattress place that knew what they were selling instead of just laying around on bunch of beds. Could not say enough good things about the sales man that helped us, very knowledgeable, no pressure and was a complete shopping experience. We told the sale person that we wanted a mattress that was softer than firm, and our present mattress was firm. We were found one that was softer than our present mattress. The salesperson told us they would have to order that mattress in and it would be at the store by Saturday and this was Monday. The mattress did not arrive until Tuesday and they installed it for us. Tuesday night I told my wife this was not the mattress we ordered and that it harder than the mattress at the store and I will call D & D Mattress the next day. Called the store and talked to the salesperson and told him this was not the mattress we tried in the store. He told me the mattress needed to be broken in and to have my kid to jump on it to soften it up. First I told him my youngest child was 35 years old and I am sure he would not like doing this, and second written on the receipt was extra firm. And that was when I was told that D & D Matteress will not take used product back and all sale final and no cash return. I will not recommend this place to anybody. As a matter of fact I have already told some friends and family and now I hope a few strangers about this store. read more

After trying out a Stearns and Foster mattress at D&D, we ordered two at a cost of over $4000. We made it abundantly clear that we had had shoulder surgery, and needed a soft mattress. When delivered, they bore no resemblance to what we had laid on, and were so firm that we could not sleep on them. When we brought this to the attention of the owner, he dismissed us rudely with "I don't offer a comfort warranty and you should have read the labels." I would certainly have liked to have that tidbit of information beforehand. ( Even the chain store mattress companies offer a comfort guarantee! ) Besides, I thought the job of the salesperson was to point out important features and help select the appropriate mattress, as well as inform the customer of store policies. The owner has made no effort to help or accomodate us in any way. His only "helpful" advice was for us to go buy a pillowtop so we could sleep on them. When under previous ownership, one was treated with respect and given useful advice. Times have definitely changed. We will never do business with D&D again. read more
