This store's customer service is horrific! Buyer beware do not shop at this location. The management team refuses to help and will lie straight to your face. BEWARE!!! Their products are very cheap and poorly made . Their customer service is absolutely horrible . If you need a repair and you have a warranty you have to jump through hoops to get anywhere . I spent 2 hours on the phone and was transferred to five different people to try to put in a repair ticket . Also when going to the Avondale store beware make sure if you do buy anything you check your receipt very carefully . Our service guy or sales rep added more items onto our sales ticket in order to get more Commission and they had to refund us once we figured it out . We have only had our adjustable bed 5 months and it has already broke down and it has been like pulling teeth out of a child to get them to come repair it or to get something done . I would stay clear of Ashley's Furniture Store . Again the customer service is horrible . They will smile at you in the store and tell you everything you want to hear but when something goes wrong good luck . read more

I would give Ashley Furniture zero stars if I could. I paid over $6,000 in full for a custom sectional, expecting a smooth experience. Instead, it has turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. After purchasing my couch through Shay, I was shocked to find out that my order never arrived because the delivery was never actually scheduled after selling my current one that was perfectly fine to make space for my dream couch... I waited for a delivery that was never going to happen due to an error that was completely out of my control. When I went to the store wondering what's going on, I was told they couldn't simply reschedule because one section of my couch was suddenly on backorder for several weeks. To make up for the inconvenience, they offered me a disappointing $200 credit, with the promise that the missing piece would be delivered a few weeks after the rest of the sectional. Then, to make matters even worse, I received an email informing me that the missing piece had been permanently discontinued. Instead of providing the sectional I paid for or offering a reasonable solution, Ashley offered me an $800 store credit--less than the value of the missing piece--and suggested replacing that section with a fabric insert in the middle of my custom leather sectional. That is completely unacceptable. No one spends thousands of dollars on a custom leather couch expecting it to be pieced together with mismatched materials because of the company's inventory issues. I've called customer service multiple times trying to cancel my order, but I've been given the runaround and to return to the store to choose another option.... Absolutely not Because of Shay's mistakes, I paid over $6,000 IN FULL, sold my old couch to make room for the new one, and now I have no couch at all. The lack of accountability, communication, and customer care has been unbelievable. This entire situation could have been avoided had my order been handled correctly from the beginning. Instead, I've been left dealing with months of frustration, broken promises, and unacceptable solutions. I am incredibly disappointed in Ashley Furniture and in the way this purchase was handled by Shay. I would strongly caution anyone considering making a major purchase here. Based on my experience, once they have your money, resolving problems becomes your responsibility--not theirs. read more

Went to the store with my fiancée to look at nursery chairs, we were stopped at the front and asked what we needed. Said looking at nursery chairs and wanted to look at the da Vinci chairs line and others. We were told they don't carry that brand in store and told to go to Walmart. The sales lady made us feel like we were not welcome and stood in front of us. Living spaces is our now go to. read more

First of all, all sales are final, so Buyer beware. The more concerning issue is the extended 'warranty' they push to sell you upon purchase. (sales associates make commission on this!) Don't believe me just ask. In my case, it was for outdoor furniture ($5,000 set) and the warranty was $700 for a 5 year policy. On their marketing material it's very clear that pet scratches, tears, stains, etc. are supposed to be covered however when I had such an instance, the store ran from the warranty and denied my claim upon multiple requests, appeals and store visits. But wait...The story gets better...when I wanted to just re-purchase three new cushions they weren't even available for me to buy without re-purchasing the entire sofa! What????? And to boot they refused to give me any credit for the remaining years of the warranty in the furniture was only one year-old. In summary stay away from Ashley furniture unless you want cheap sh!& that they don't stand behind! And definitely don't purchase ANY extended warranty. It won't help you one bit. read more

I ended up getting a bowed piece of art and they delivered it to me so I am assuming it was damaged on delivery and their sales person said they would replace it and I had it in writing and they still didn't replace it. I had furnished an entire three bedroom house with them. You would think they would've done the right thing with a picture. I was told to send an email and I did and I didn't get a response. I think they just say that on the review to make themselves look better very disappointing. read more

My family and I came into Ashley Furniture to shop for a couch after our house had just flooded, already a stressful and emotional situation. Instead of being met with empathy or professional customer service, the saleswoman, Kathy, told us, "You should smile more." That comment was completely inappropriate, dismissive, and uncomfortable. I immediately escalated this to the manager. His response was shockingly poor: when I explained what happened, he actually laughed and offered no solution. I offered that he should "talk to her about it." This complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and respect from leadership confirmed our decision to leave. The only person who showed true kindness and basic human decency was one woman on the staff (I wish I had her name) who immediately acknowledged that Kathy's comment was rude and inappropriate. Thank you for showing that empathy and professionalism still exist. No one owes a smile, especially not customers dealing with a personal issues. Because of this interaction, from the initial rude comment to the manager's dismissive laughter, we will never be returning to Ashley Furniture. Customer service should be respectful and supportive, not patronizing and cruel. read more

The WORST customer service EVER. Ashley Furniture does not deserve even 1 star. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. What should have been an automatic, fair, reasonable, and simple solution of refunding my money on the credit card I used to make a purchase of an item I NEVER received has now escalated from ridiculous to absurd. I have texted, I have emailed, I have called. I have worked with no less than 6 "managers", non of whom have given me the courtesy of responding to this unfortunate (and stupid) situation. And I have YET to receive the refund they owe me for the item I NEVER received. I will NEVER be a customer of Ashley Furniture nor will I EVER recommend them to anyone. Mr. Todd Wanek? They took my money and never gave me my product for over 8 weeks! I ordered a dresser to match my bed set, they said it will take a few weeks to get. I called to track it after two weeks and they said it's going to take longer. After the 8 week make I called and they said it's no longer available. At first they wouldn't give me a refund or my money back. I had to get a manager involved, they wanted to try and sell me something else, they had to make me get upset over the phone to finally refund me my order. Well three days later when the refund gets posted in my account, they didn't refund me my $100 shipping. I called/messaged them again asking for my full refund and money back, and said I shouldn't have to pay $100 shipping for an item that I didn't get. They said they can't help me, and said maybe customer service can do something... this is ridiculous and insane. How many hoops I have to jump through for their F up. I never write reviews, but their customer service is terrible. I bought furniture from the Farmingdale, NY store and had nothing but problems. THERE IS NO DIRECT LINE TO CALL THE STORES. It goes directly to a corporate number and they can't even get in touch with the store to respond. I am utterly dissatisfied with my experience at Ashley. On November 30, 2025, we purchased a sectional, two bar stools, and a lift‑top table. We worked with sales rep Jill, who was pleasant and helpful during the sales process. She assisted us in picking out our items and, with the help of Eric/Erik, got us great pricing. Unfortunately, Jill mistakenly left a fireplace entertainment center on our order. She and another employee corrected the mistake and started the refund, but that's where everything went wrong. Shortly after, we received a call that only one piece of the sectional was available and the other piece would not be delivered until at least December 17. When the first delivery arrived, to my surprise, it was the wrong couch. Despite numerous attempts and texts, nothing was resolved that day. To make matters worse, you cannot call the local store directly, and my follow‑up email to Jill went unanswered. Later, Ashley's help line contacted me to say the wrong couch was being rescheduled for delivery. I refused because it was not the couch I ordered. I asked for the correct couch or a refund, but was told both requests require a 72‑hour review. I then asked for a refund of the couch and the warranty, and received the same answer: another 3‑day review. At this point, I have no couch, no resolution, and Ashley is holding my money hostage. What started as a pleasant sales experience has turned into a nightmare of delays, wrong deliveries, poor communication, and stalled refunds. I consider myself reasonable, but this has been unacceptable. read more

Ashley sells furniture sets, but then doesn't disclose that some of the set is not in stock and never gets delivered. And then, since you bought multiple pieces in a set, they want you to keep the stuff that is available as all sales are final, and then pound sand with respect to the rest of the matching furniture set. Under no circumstances should anyone ever buy anything from Ashley. Complete bait and switch. Don't walk, Run as fast as you can. read more

Terrible experience yesterday afternoon, the older lady with glasses was so clueless and took Forefervto just tell me a price on a queen headboard , she kept trying to sell me night stands and dressers and all I wanted was a simple price on an item. Someone ordered my sectional in two different colors (which is ridiculous) and no one figured it out until I told them. Because of this, half of my couch was back ordered unnecessarily for over 6 weeks and when I called the store they didn't give a rats ass if there was a problem and had quite a bit of attitude with me for being upset at the back order for the WRONG product. The tone I was spoken to with was appalling and should not be a part of customer service. After multiple calls and attempts to get in touch with a manager or corporate, literally no one called me ever. They do not care if you get your furniture. I paid $4k in January for furniture that was supposed to arrive in Feb. They never looked into my order to see what was wrong and basically told me it was my fault for being upset that it was back ordered, not taking time to check if the order was correct. Do not pay for your furniture until it's delivered. This store will keep your money, doesn't pay attention, and doesn't care if you get your furniture or not. read more

This store has the most inconsistent pricing I've ever seen! Husband and I went into the store and found a living room set we liked. Salesman A gave us a price quote, written on his iPad and emailed to us. We shopped other stores and came back 2 days later. Salesman B approached us, we tell him we were looking at said set and already had a price from salesman A. He says, oh, that set is now 30% off! Great, send us a new quote with these prices. Fast forward two days later, we are back in our home state and call Salesman A to firm up the deal. This is Friday. We tell him about 30% offer from Salesman B. He agrees to match it. He is also pushing extended warranty which we reject. I am ready to give credit card info to close the deal and He said he had to ok it with his manager and would get back to me in the morning. Never heard back from him all weekend. On Monday I call and he is not in. I ask for a manager. I get the office manager(??!) I tell her the story, thought we had a deal, can't get it confirmed etc. Next I get a call from Salesman B and he is somewhat salty with me because I am dealing with Salesman A I presume. He starts telling me I never called him back he thought the deal was off. I said we were on vacation, people get busy! I asked to speak to the manager and he told me he wasn't in but would give a message. He was beginning to sound aggressive to me and not very professional. 10 min later I get a call from Kyle, the manager. He is acting quite aloof and asked me why I was calling. I said, are you aware of the situation with my furniture quest? I briefly go thru the whole scenario with pricing and 2 different salesmen. I told him the price that was agreed upon, could we just get it ordered. Kyle then says, oh that sale is over. I said it's Presidents' Day, don't you have a sale now? I get emails daily from your store! He refused to meet the price which was only $200 less than what he was offering me. I said I thought you were in the business of selling furniture?? I asked if he would meet that price and make the deal and he said he would "lose his job" if he gave me that price. Ok, whatever. So I said you're willing to lose a $3500 sale over $200 difference and he said, "I'd lose my job if if gave it to you at that price." I said ok, I guess we don't have a deal then. His tone the whole time was not customer service, satisfaction or interested in making the sale. I think their price switching is shady and even tho I had emails and screenshots of their iPad quotes, they would not budge. Terrible, terrible customer service. I will not use them ever again. read more

Very high pressure salesman, would not be quiet. Kept us in the store for 3 hours, then got mad when we walked out buying nothing. He quoted us $13,000 for the bed and accessories; i went to temperpedic.com and could get the same set up on line for $6600!! Will NEVER go back again! read more

Nice mattress. Nice guy.Bought the mattress not on sale.Probably could have found it cheaper some where, but hate shopping.

If you MUST buy here use a credit card and be ready to dispute the charges when they mess up your order. It's the only way to get someone with authority and accountable. Make sure to protect yourself every step of the way or they will walk all over you. It's a sales floor. Yea they still exist and it's as terrible as it sounds. Terrible terrible quality furniture and they know it. They will not back up their product even with their overpriced "warranty". Just go somewhere else. It may be the cheaper option but it's garbage. Living spaces is at least somewhat better and you don't have to worry about getting ripped off. What I mean is at Ashley two different people can spend a totally different amount on the same item. If you are buying here you might as well know to pick out what you want then leave your number and walk away. They will always call the next day with a better offer. My set was $5200 in store price, I got it delivered for $2400 for the bed and two nightstands. Still it's garbage and overpriced. The finish will fail. read more

We called customer service within an hour telling them to come pick it up. That was on Saturday. They said somebody would call us within 24 to 72 hours called them on Monday Again, telling them they still haven't picked it up and nobody has called us. Called them again on Tuesday. They said somebody would call us, called them again on Wednesday. We still have not heard from them when they are going to pick up the furniture. Called the store twice can't get through to somebody. Anyone ordering something from there should face a few facts They might be having the largest choice of the furniture in your area. But they will screw you with the delivery. I bought total around 10k worth of the furniture November 15-th, supposedly to be delivered to me November 21 and 25-th. Agreed on schedule and the scope, first batch of the November 21-th was in place and the guys bringing it were professional and did a very good work. The second batch for November 25-th was when it started. They brought fewer items - they were unable to fix the furniture together. They called their supervisor (Cause the delivery team was barely able to understand an English sentence, let alone help me fix things up), who promised me to have it delivered November 29-th. The next day I got an email asking to confirm if I want to have the pending part delivered on 29-th - I confirmed. Today is November 29-th, I got the message that my delivery was cancelled - without explaining why. All I was able to get from their customer service was an apology, which will barely help me get missing furniture. Long story short - whoever is ordering anything from there - do not believe whatever they say about delivery. If you have a chance, add a penalty line to delivery in case of delays. That's the only way they will understand anything - only if they will pay for their screw-ups. I firmly believe that was my last experience with Ashley - if anyone wants more details, happy to provide. read more

Purchased an end table and a lamp in the Athens, GA store and I asked the sales person if I could take the lamp from the store. He said no, it would have to be shipped from the warehouse and someone would call me in a few days about the delivery. Never heard from anyone about the furniture I purchased and paid for, so after about a week I went online to track my order. I found the lamp has been discontinued and is out of stock and the order indicated that they were waiting for me to make a new selection. I found the lamp online and purchased it from another vendor, then called customer service and requested the entire order be canceled. About a week later, someone called me to schedule delivery of the table. I told them I canceled the order and that person told me the order was still "open" but they would cancel it. I disputed the payment with my credit card and waited another week. Then I called customer service again and was told the order was still open. She attempted to transfer my call to another dept., but came back and said all the lines were busy. Today, 3 weeks since the initial purchase, another employee called to schedule delivery of the table. I again told him the order was canceled and he informed me it is still showing "open" on their end. Beware of Ashley's terrible Customer Service and return policies. I purchased a large bedroom set and a new mattress and foundation for a spare bedroom in August. The items were delivered and installed in October. A few weeks after delivery we discovered that the mattress in our spare bedroom was sagging due to a defective foundation. I have spent three weeks talking and writing to Ashley's Customer Service to resolve this problem without any consistent response from them. I even tried calling the store where I purchased these items, but they only refer me back the their useless "customer service" 800 number. Furniture is good and has a big selection. But The Delivery is HORRIBLE. I ordered an entire bedroom Set on 11/28. It got split up into 2 deliveries because the bed frame wasn't available until 12/15. So I got my first delivery on 12/6. It went smooth. I got the entire bedroom set, other than the bed frame. So We have been sleeping on the mattress on the floor for 2 weeks. - We got the bed frame delivered on 12/15, BUT, not only was it the wrong item. It was 2 different colors in the same box. The delivery guy opened it and said "this is the wrong item". So I chatted with Ashley Furniture app and they said they can confirm our item was available and in stock and to wait 24-48 hours to reschedule a new delivery. - When 24 hours passed, we got the text for redelivery options. It wasn't until 12/27 that the bed frame could be delivered. -So I spoke to multiple agents over text and phone and it turns out that our bed frame is "back ordered". - How is it back ordered if they delivered something? How was that approved through their system? to just grab random crap, throw it in a box and deliver it to us? They either delivered our item to someone else and now it's not available. Or they lied and it was never available until 12/27, but tried to trick us with mismatched junk. Why waste our time with trying to fool us? . Now we'll be sleeping on the mattress, on the floor for a whole month and maybe an entire month later we may eventually get our bed frame. *Also the agents kept saying that the delivery guys grabbed the wrong item. okay? what item were they supposed to grab if its not available until 12/27? I usually don't call, complain, write reviews, but this is bull crap. Also after complaining to one of their reps, they offered to take a whole $15 off the order. Wow. How generous. So nice of them. If I were waiting on a lamp, rug, table I believe I'd have more patience. But this is a bed frame and I'm tired of sleeping on a mattress on the floor. read more

For future buyers please take this into consideration. I bought 10k of furniture within this past month. Everything was fine until it was delivered to my house. The movers were in a rush and noticed that they weren't being careful and when they assembled my dinning table I noticed marks and dents on my brand new table. I told them immediately that I didn't want the table. They refused to take the table back. I took pictures immediately and they also took pics. They called corporate and told them what happened. I spoke to them and told me that it would be handled in a couple of days. I waited for a call and I had to call literally at the end of next week. Spoke to there customer service and then I was transferred to another department in Asia somewhere. They refused to give me another table and told me that they can fix it and give half off. I told them no and I wanted a new table. They continued to deny my request and an asked to speak to corporate and they didn't want to give me the number. I hung up on them and called back on the 800. I spoke to another person and they still refused to give me another table until demanded to speak to a manager. They also refused and they said that they need to send a technician to look at the table. I told them they can send the tech but I will refuse the service because I want a new table. Unfortunately this happened twice. I have already taken two days of work off because you need to have a four window for them. Refused again spoke to another person and got the run around. I went to the store where I bought the furniture and spoke to store manager and it was a waist of time. I again asked for corporate number and the store manager refused to give it to me also. So I looked up corporate number and I was able to get them to give me a new table. Mind you this two weeks into this nonsense. So these last two weeks have awful also. They have cancelled twice on me and rescheduled while I took another two days off. At this point I will be calling corporate again to file a formal complaint and will be asking for a discount for all the inconvenience they have been putting me for this past month. I purchased bedroom furniture at the beginning of March. The final piece being the mattress being delivered on March 31st and the incorrect size being ordered by my sales person. Due to not being able to have any type of direct contact with the store by phone. I drove down to speak with management and Kyle told me he was going to make my experience magical and as of today it has been anything, but Magical. I purchased a brand new bedroom set, including mattress and upon delivery, the wrong size mattress was ordered by my salesperson, so Kyle gave me the Queen size mattress that was a floor model at the same size cost of the brand new full and threw in a clearanced out adjustable base and mattress pad for taking a floor model. As of today , long story short , I still don't have a working remote for an adjustable base , and i'm making payments on something that is still not complete. I now have a bunkie board and rails to the cost of $300 that I am now storing and an adjustable base that is a brick. I went in to look around and immediately had someone asking what I was looking for- fine but it becomes an issue when they are constantly checking on you every 5 minutes. It's too much and it's weird. I was literally on the phone walking around looking at stuff and had the salesperson following me around waiting for me to get off the phone making me extremely uncomfortable. It was constantly pushing pushing pushing for a sale. They need to learn when to BACK OFF. I went in for one thing, which they didn't have, so I ordered it. Apparently they have a new system in place as of this week and the entire checkout process took a half hour. The manager had no sense of urgency when the salesperson needed help, like extremely nonchalant. The ladies at the desk taking payments were rude and did not care about what they said in front of customers. I paid with cash and no one could "figure out" the new system. At one point they even said they didn't have change and I'd have to go to the bank to get smaller bills if I wanted to pay for it. Absolutely insane experience.
