BEWARE of the 10% Admin Fee hidden clause in your purchase. Ordered furniture 3 weeks ago, still didn't receive any notification of a potential delivery date despite expensive delivery fees. Tried to cancel the order and they wouldn't do it at first. I was told only the store manager could do it, but he was not in the store that day. Told he would call, never did. Called the store to find out that their phone doesn't work anymmore. Told in the store they were having "systems" issues. Finally got a hold of someone in customer care outside of BC to be told that I didn't cancel fast enough and now am being charged a 10% admin fee totalling approx. $600 for furniture that isn't being delivered from a store that doesn't have a working phone line or in-store manager to process customers when they come inside. Disappointed & will never buy from this store again. Looking through the reviews I see I am not the only person scammed. read more

My wife and I purchased a couch, chair, and ottoman (with warranty) from Ashley Home Store in Abbotsford. Within a few weeks of the purchase, we noticed that the fabric was fraying. We contacted customer care and were instructed to use a fabric shaver to fix the issue. My wife did as they had said, and it resulted in the fabric tearing and leaving a tear about 3 inches long. We reached out to customer care again, just to be told it wasn't their problem. We went I to the store to speak to the manager. He seemed more than eager to help. We forwarded him the email chain and photos. He assured us that our issue would be corrected. He told us someone would reach out to us in the next few days. We didn't hear from anyone. We contacted the store again and at that time we were told that we would have to pay to fix it ourselves. We told the manager that that was unacceptable and that he needed to make this right. That's when the store went radio silent. They would not return our calls over the next several weeks. My wife decided to call again on a random Saturday morning, and no one answered right away, but a few minutes later, the manager called back. I answered the phone and asked a very simple question, "Where do you want me to leave this furniture? Inside your front door, outside your front door or just out in the parking lot?". The manager hung up. So, we threw a couple of the cushions in my truck, which showed an abundance of fraying and headed to the store so they could see the terrible craftsmanship for themselves. As we walked in the door of Ashley's, the manager started yelling that we needed to leave. He made a complete scene, saying that we had threatened HIM and demanded that we get out or he would call the cops. We eventually did walk out, taking our cushions with us... off to small claims court we go. If I could have left zero stars, I would have. read more

Wow! What an amazing experience we had at Ashley HomeStore in Abbotsford. We recently moved to the area in our first home and were overwhelmed with the big ticket items that we were going to be faced with. James immediately introduced himself to us. He was enthusiastic and proud of the work that he does, and so he should be. He and his team (Ryan and Russ), worked diligently to help us make great choices for our health and bank accounts. I purchased 3 counter stools from Ashley mid August, was told there was a delay but that I should expect my order to arrive in about two weeks but no later than mid September. It's now almost October and I reached out to the store as I haven't heard anything since I ordered, they told me there's nothing they can do and they don't know where my order is currently. In the meantime I've ordered multiple other furniture pieces from various other stores and they have all shown up no issues and earlier than expected. I don't know what the issue is but I wish the Ashley staff would've been more realistic with their delivery date as I feel like I was lied to to get my business. We dropped buy to pick up some bedroom furniture for our new house. The styles and overall value are excellent. I have bought previous bedroom furniture from Ashley and they have held up extremely well. Cindy was exemplary in her customer service with us. We found several bedroom sets and left feeling very satisfied with our overall shopping experience. She sent us a thank you card and continues to update us on our order status regularly. I placed an order for three bedroom sets middle of last August and paid 30,000.00, as of this date I have still neither received the items nor received the refund consisting of about 20,000.00 I have asked many times but nothing but excuses and information that they pretend to not have organized properly. Almost one year and the reason I went there was I was promised delivery within the month, I have visited the location many times spoken with all kinds of people but no refund nor furniture as of yet. Please be very careful before giving these charletons your hard earned money once they have it it is very difficult getting back, never in my life have I been impacted this negatively by any other major chain who only cares about getting your payment and then good luck, sad but true, what should be a happy experience buying new furniture turned into my worse nightmare and now I have no other choice but hire an attorney to try and get my money back, I curse the day I ever walked through those doors.. read more

Not good quality furniture. Rough edges throughout, arm chairs not put together well, no quality control. I would suggest to consumers to do their homework when buying from Ashley's, especially when it comes to wood products from them. A very dissatisfied customer. Yesterday I had my furniture delivered to my residence in Mission by Thomas and Neil. First I want to say I love my stuff and that the service was so professional. they both were very friendly and so helpful. Poor Thomas even cut his finger helping me cut off tags.
