We could have just placed a mattress on the floor by itself and have the same thing without the hassle. So word of advice - check everything about the furniture you might be getting to make sure it is what you want.

She took the time to listen and learn and didn't try to upsell us. Eventually her "boss" (husband actually, so who then really is the boss? ) came and helped her do the final deal. They were more than willing to bargain, I'm a Dutchman, and a bargain is a #1 requirement with me and we worked out a great deal. Turns out "the boss" really was the boss, as he was part owner in the business. I was able to do a great deal with him that saved my daughter a bunch of money. The furniture we chose was locally made of REAL wood, not partial board. It is a very pleasing design and they delivered and set the whole room up too and took away the packaging. If you're looking for new furniture you will not be disappointed, shop local and get personable old fashioned service with a smile and a handshake. Places like Ashley's, Leon's and The Brick haven't got a hope of matching the pleasant experience we had at Fraser Furniture in Abbotsford. Keep your dollars in Canada with small local businesses instead of sending it to the large corporations outside the country !

During my most recent visit, I got a beautiful new bread basket, a 1969 Life magazine detailing the moon landing, and some new Christmas decorations. It's all over the place, as any good antique shop should be. The woman at the counter (I presume she is the owner) is super friendly too. They seem to run a fair amount of sales, so you might find something old you love at the perfect price. Have fun, take your time, and check this shop out!

Tried to cancel the order and they wouldn't do it at first. I was told only the store manager could do it, but he was not in the store that day. Told he would call, never did. Called the store to find out that their phone doesn't work anymmore. Told in the store they were having "systems" issues. Finally got a hold of someone in customer care outside of BC to be told that I didn't cancel fast enough and now am being charged a 10% admin fee totalling approx. $600 for furniture that isn't being delivered from a store that doesn't have a working phone line or in-store manager to process customers when they come inside. Disappointed & will never buy from this store again. Looking through the reviews I see I am not the only person scammed.

We contacted customer care and were instructed to use a fabric shaver to fix the issue. My wife did as they had said, and it resulted in the fabric tearing and leaving a tear about 3 inches long. We reached out to customer care again, just to be told it wasn't their problem. We went I to the store to speak to the manager. He seemed more than eager to help. We forwarded him the email chain and photos. He assured us that our issue would be corrected. He told us someone would reach out to us in the next few days. We didn't hear from anyone. We contacted the store again and at that time we were told that we would have to pay to fix it ourselves. We told the manager that that was unacceptable and that he needed to make this right. That's when the store went radio silent. They would not return our calls over the next several weeks. My wife decided to call again on a random Saturday morning, and no one answered right away, but a few minutes later, the manager called back. I answered the phone and asked a very simple question, "Where do you want me to leave this furniture? Inside your front door, outside your front door or just out in the parking lot?". The manager hung up. So, we threw a couple of the cushions in my truck, which showed an abundance of fraying and headed to the store so they could see the terrible craftsmanship for themselves. As we walked in the door of Ashley's, the manager started yelling that we needed to leave. He made a complete scene, saying that we had threatened HIM and demanded that we get out or he would call the cops. When buying a mattress he was more concerned with our needs, what we required in a mattress. He gave us honest advice, never rushed us but rather he encouraged us to take our time trying various, similar mattresses. We never felt pushed to buy a more expensive one but rather encouraged us to purchase one that met our needs. Vipul could certainly teach others the art of customer service. We were so impressed that we then decided that we would buy a mattress protector, pillow and new stove from Vipul at the same time. Matress has has been delivered and we are adjusting to the newness of it. We have been assured that we have a number of weeks to be sure that it is the set for us or else they will exchange. Looking forward to doing more business with Vipul in the future, perhaps he will be the manager by then.

We went to purchase a king-size bed frame and mattress. Gurpreet was our salesperson. Initially, we wanted to pay the full amount right away, but he convinced us to sign up with their financing partner, Flexiti, instead so that he can earn some commission. He also told us that once the bed was delivered, we would have 48 hours to report any issues to Brick and they would help resolve them. When the bed and mattress arrived, there was a huge gap between the mattress and the bed frame. We understood there might be a small gap, but this was very noticeable and caused the mattress to move around. We emailed them immediately, and the next day Vansh, who said he was the supervisor/manager, called us. He claimed this was normal in all beds and I asked him if we could chose another bed frame as we reported the issue with 48 hours. He said we cannot do anything as there is no return policy or anything. You will have to keep it. At last we decided not to argue with them and thought to pay full money to Flexiti and when I received the statement, there was an extra $25 charge. After calling Flexiti, they informed me that the salesperson had added insurance to our account without our knowledge or consent. Overall, this was a terrible experience. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Maybe other locations are better, but definitely not the Abbotsford location.
