I have been seeing Dr. Hinkle for several years. I have the utmost confidence in him and his staff. He keeps current on technology that will enhance his accuracy and make more informed recommendations. Everyone in the office is helpful and knowledgeable about using the equipment and helping select the right frame. Office hours are spot on. Everyone takes the time needed to make the appointment relaxed without feeling rushed to get the next patient in the waiting room. Dr. Hinkle explains in "English" what is going on with my vision and my eye health. As long I am in the area and he has a practice, I'll be seeing him. Thank you, Dr. Hinkle, for coming back to the Loudoun area. read more

I love this practice. Never "too" busy. Always patient. When I have some serious challenges they have always prescribed the right treatment path. Highly recommend. read more

I have been a customer of Ashburn Vision Source for the past 8 years. This place is just the best in business. Excellent doctors, staff and office, with a superbly clean and neat environment, on-time appointments and quick services, they just keep on getting better every time I visit. These are a few reasons for me to stay with them for many more years to come, besides them being truly local and not part of a big faceless corporate machine. Their prices are very reasonable and competitive in this area and they are always ready to go out of their way to accommodate customers' requests and needs. Keep up the good work! read more

Dr. Hinkle is fantastic. I don't typically write online reviews but I truly feel that EVERY staff member at this office truly does their best each and every day. Polite, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and not pushy about services. read more

Dr. Boyles has been tireless in helping me find the perfect contact lense prescription for my dry eye condition. I have been a patient here for many years and despite moving over 50 miles away I still return. Dr. Hinkle is great and the staff are amazing. I had fallen and bent my frames and they fixed and cleaned up both my pairs of glasses while I was seeing the doctor and gave me two new cases. Dr. Hinkle treats you like a person and not just a patient. Always great to talk with him and I feel like my eyes are in the best hands. read more

Our family was in need of a new eye doctor after switching insurance providers. My husband found Ashburn Vision Source online and saw that they had excellent ratings so we decided to give them a try. I had lasik surgery about 15 years ago so I haven't visited an eye doctor on a regular basis, as I didn't feel it necessary. However, I do believe my eye sight is changing slightly so I wanted to start seeing a doctor more consistently. But the main reason we wanted to find an eye doctor is for our 3 1/2 year old daughter. This was her first eye appointment and we wanted to make sure that her vision is ok, even at this young age. The staff were friendly as soon as we walked in the door. There's a small play area for children that was useful with my daughter while I filled out some new patient paperwork. We were escorted back to the first exam room within just a few minutes of completing our paperwork. The staff was very friendly during the initial exam and was very patient and helpful to exam our daughter, who was a little apprehensive since she's never done this before. The initial exam was quick and painless for both of us. We were moved to the doctor's office for the rest of the exam. We were told he would be with us in just a few minutes, and he was. Dr Hinkle was kind, friendly, and explained every step of the exam. Our daughter decided she was comfortable to go first with Dr Hinkle (normally I go first so she can see what to expect). He was very calming and explained every bit of the process to her. She was not nervous, scared or timid, which speaks highly to Dr Hinkle's demeanor. He took his time with our daughter and also with my exam as well. He was very clear with the exam results and answered all of our questions. We had a great overall experience! We have already recommended Ashburn Vision Source to our friends who also have a 3 1/2 year old child. We will continue to refer them to others as well. Thank you for an easy experience! read more

UPDATE: Dr. Hinkle is awesome!!!! After learning about my previous unsatisfactory experience regarding my contact issue, he contacted to better understand what transpired. He then worked with the contact manufacturer to provide me with a year's supply of contacts at no charge. He also kept me updated through the entire process and had them expedited so I could have then as soon as possible. This is how you earn back customer loyalty and keep it. Thanks to Dr. Hinkle again for going above and beyond to resolve my issue and providing me with excellent care! read more

I had such a great experience with Ashburn Vision Source! I found them through my insurance and called to make an appointment. The woman who schedule my appointment was very friendly and helped answer some of the questions I had since we just switched to a new insurance carrier. New patient paperwork can be filled out online and made the process so convenient and saved a bunch of time while at the clinic. I am very happy with the care I received on the day of my appointment as well. Dr. Hinkle was fantastic throughout the appointment and was very patient with my infant son. The staff also helped me select a new pair of glasses by making recommendations on frames and lens options. I can't wait to wear my new glasses when they arrive! Finally, I was very appreciative of the assistance they provided in understanding my insurance benefits. I will definitely be returning to Ashburn Vision Source for all my future vision needs. read more

Dr. Hinkle is the best! As is the staff at Ashburn Vision Source. I have been going once a year for 4 years. Every year it is the same stellar service from beginning to end. Last year I bought my glasses from them. Progressive lenses with all the coatings. The glasses fit will and were comfortable for my days from day one. A year later they are still comfortable with no issues. Dr. Hinkle is so great. He takes take to explain what he is doing and why. He truly cares. I recommend this place highly. read more

I took both my kids to see Dr. Hinkle over the weekend. It was a great experience and we will be back. The front desk staff helped me with my insurance and took the time to explain my benefits. Dr. Hinkle is the best. A few years back my son had a eye injury playing little league baseball. After going to the ER room we took him to Dr. Hinkle. Dr Hinkle evaluated the injury and arranged for my son to immediately see a specialist for further evaluation of the injury. After a series of appointments with both the specialist and with Dr. Hinkle my son fully recovered. I am convinced that eyesight in my sons injured eye was saved due to the evaluation, attention and response from Dr. Hinkle. I am forever grateful to him for that. My wife and I have since been patients of his for years. We wouldn't go anywhere else. The professionalism, attention to detail and courtesy of he and his staff is unmatched. During my last appointment in November 2017 I see they have expanded the office space. Its a very nice facility with a great layout. Best eye doctor and medical practice I've ever been to. read more

I came to Ashburn Vision Source in desperate need for a doctor that would actually evaluate what my problem was. Dr. Boyles spent a great deal of time with me getting to the root of my issue. Within a few days, my problem I had been dealing with for months, started clearing up. It is hard to find good doctors when you are new to the area. This place....a definite keeper! read more

I've seen many eye drs and Dr. Hinkle is by far the BEST! The office is very nice, staff friendly and Dr. Hinkle top notch. He makes sure you understand everything, will take extra time to explain things, etc. He is super personable and remembers things about you and your family - and doesn't rush you in and out like a number. I can't say enough good things about this office. read more

Our family went to Dr. Hinkle for seven years and wouldn't ever think of going somewhere else if we still lived in-state. His office is impeccably clean and focused on a hygienic experience (how refreshing). Their selection of glasses is wonderful and if you don't find what you're looking for, on-site, they're more than willing to order it for you. Dr. Hinkle has never made us feel rushed or been impatient, even when patients before me showed up late and put him behind. His staff is courteous, friendly, and helpful. You won't regret making this office your eye care home! read more

I can't recommend AVS more highly. Dr. Boyles is skilled, friendly, and never rushes through appointments - she's one of the best optometrists I've had since I started seeing them at 6 years old. She found an issue that no one had ever mentioned, and I now see a specialist regularly to keep an eye (no pun intended!) on it. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hours are fantastic - the office is open late several times a week and has Saturday hours as well. For contact lens wearers, they also have a good selection of samples if you need to try a new prescription out before ordering - I have a strong prescription and past optometrists I"ve used have often not had my prescription in-office. read more

Friendly office staff and easy to get an appointment. The doctors are skilled and easy to talk to and answer all of your questions. Great selection of frames and the staff there really helps with picking frames if you need some honest advice! Our whole family have been seeing Dr. Hinkle and his staff for over 5 years now. They are the best! Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and courteous, and take their time with us; we never feel rushed, always get our questions fully answered, and still get done on time - does that somehow mean the laws of physics don't apply? ;) Last year, Dr. Hinkle was able to detect that I had an underlying medical condition that no other medical personnel were able to either find or diagnose. Thanks to his astuteness, I was able to treat the problem early on, before it became serious. We've always received wonderful care, and can't recommend Ashburn Vision Source enough! read more

Dr. Hinkle and his staff at Ashburn Vision source are fabulous. This was my first visit and I must say this has been one of the most positive office visit experiences I have ever had. He explained the process and results and patiently answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed or pressured. He actually takes the time to get to know you as a person, which I appreciated. I've always gone to an ophthalmologist until I went to Dr. Hinkle. This is the best eye doctor experience I've had. Everyone is friendly and the office is well run. It is a one stop experience, too, as you order the glasses/contacts right there. Dr. Hinkle also discovered a problem with my eye that was missed by my ophthalmologist. It saved my eyesight! read more

my contacts are in and the staff including the doctor has shown the upmost professional and concern.

My mom was having severe right eye problems and she had to see an ophthalmologist ASAP. She lives in Ashburn so I wanted to find someone local and came across Ashburn Vision Source. With such phenomenal ratings, there was no question about going here. We (my sis and I had to translate for my mom) arrived a few minutes prior to the appointment and didn't have to wait long at all. The staff is very friendly. We met with Dr. Boyle and she was so nice, professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. My sister and I were both impressed. She answered all the questions we had. It turns out that my mom had to go see a retina specialist. Dr. Boyle and her staff called a specialist in Sterling to see if they had availability for my mom to come in same day. Thankfully they did! We went to the specialist and he gave us all the information and help we needed. Dr. Boyle called the very next day to check on my mom and to see how the appointment with the specialist went. It was so nice of her to do that! I wasn't expecting that at all so it was a really nice surprise. It's great to see that this place cares, even for new patients! My mom will have to come back in the next 3-6 months to get glasses and I'm looking for a new eye doctor so we will be coming back here for all of our eye needs! This place is fantastic! read more
