I just moved out to Ashburn from Herndon. I compare every Kabob place to what I consider the gold standard: Charcoal Kabob in Herndon. (Just as a point of reference) This was first time eating here. The yogurt sauce tasted like it was made with mayonnaise instead of yogurt, which was gross. The chick peas were cooked in what tasted like tomato sauce. Not sure where the owners are from, but I prefer the more buttery and spicy Afghan version found at the place in Herndon. Wasn't a fan. The grilled chicken kabobs were solid. I also got the kubideh (ground beef) Kabob and it was ok. Disappointed you only got one small skewer vs. the two I usually get from other places. I will keep exploring Kabob options I. Fantastic food great service fast, hot friendly and fresh! I ordered online at 6:15pm for pick-up. I went with the Chicken and Lamb Kabob with side salad. Payment online was simple and easy. I arrived at Ashburn Kabob at 6:40pm; gave my name and picked up my order. AMAZING!! So fresh and delicious! Great portion of food; I'm glad I didn't order a naan bread - it came with one anyway, along with two sauces - a white creamy herby sauce and a green spicy sauce. Both added great flavour to the kebab and salad. The naan was freshly made too, straight out of the Tandoor and it was a pleasant surprise. These guys are awesome. Fast service and friendly staff. Best Afghan restaurant I have eaten at by a long mile. Their service and food is amazing. The chutney/sauce is on literally top 3 I have eaten compared to other places. The chick peas can use some spices but otherwise it does its job. Grounded Chicken Kabob is the best followed by the boneless chicken pieces. (Sorry I don't remember their exact names). Oh shoot. I called in my order to be picked up . My total order was $85 but my cc was swiped $97.95 when asked the guy behind the counter said it was for tip. He charged me 15% tip without my consent , without saying anything to me , there was no sign visible to all customers there will be a 15% service charge charged automatically . He gave himself 15% tip without my authorization for my carry out order. This is place is under new management but theft and dishonesty will have this place closing its doors pretty soon . Three words: Fresh, flavorful, and plenty. Ashburn Kabob blows the competition out of the water. The boneless chicken kabobs are delicious and better than any in the Dulles area. The chicken Kabob entree comes with a generous portion of tasty brown and white basmati rice, one heaping side, and a huge piece of soft, oval shaped naan. You get a few fragments of salad and a small container of white dressing, and this amazing teeny tiny 2 inch container of the best green chutney ever. Great portions and amazing flavor. I come here a few times a month and the food never disappoints. I will admit, I did go to a kabob chain with family once a few months ago, and the kabobs there were horrendous when comparing them to Ashburn Kabob. I always get the chicken, which has never let me down. The beef is great as well. I've never tried the lamb but have heard good things from others. read more

Today was my first time trying this place, even though I had been meaning to since July when I bought a car from the owner's brother, who noticed that I lived in Ashburn and said: "You have to try my brother's place". Well, when I looked it up, I thought to myself that it was another one of those fast-food type kabob places, and I would pass two others to get there. Well, I had some time on my hands today so I gave it a shot. I'm so glad I did! I ordered a lamb kabob to go, and when I opened the container when I got home I was slightly disappointed as there were only five pieces of lamb, when most of the places give you around eight...and I was very hungry. Well, I dug in and the lamb was outstanding- perfectly cooked, very tender and delicious. The white and brown rice were both delicious, especially the brown, which was really good. I got chick peas on the side (Dan W. from Round Hill, not sure what menu you were reading, but there are plenty of options for sides besides fries and onion rings), and they were wonderful- great for dipping the naan in. Speaking of the naan, it was warm and delicious...and as big as a catcher's mitt! The green sauce, which I normally don't use at other places, was incredible! I was dipping everything I could into it. I would probably take shots of that stuff! Well, it looks like I'll be driving past the other kabob places in Ashburn to my new favorite fast-casual kabob place. Great job! read more

Ashburn Kabob has the best Afghan food in this area! Although we haven't tried dining there yet, we ordered a lot of food deliveries from there like almost every month since last year. I definitely recommend them if you are craving for Afghan food. Each of the food that we ordered from our past deliveries was outstanding. We are never disappointed with their food, even if you reheat them the next day they're still delicious. Our usual favorite orders are the chapli kabob and beef and chicken combo, the mantoo. We are in love with their banjoo barani (a must try), their mantoo and their baklava! They are absolutely delicious. Best banjoo barani I've eaten so far! I always order extra white sauce too for my chapli. My husband loves the naan bread too. Their delivery drivers and their staff are always courteous and nice. The best Kabob hands down. We've ordered several times and it's always perfect! The DoorDash delivery person grabbed the wrong order tonight which had almost everything we ordered. Worst customer service, ever! I am usually tolerant in my reviews, if ever write one. But by far, this is not what is expected from restaurants, especially during this pandemic where they "supposedly" need to attract customers. My son made the order and I was not sure of the name on the order. I tried to discuss with the associate on the front disk ways to represent the identity. Was so shocked to see, probably the owner popping from the kitchen and yelling at us, with very little English, "DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME." The best. Their food is so good I dug in before I could take a decent picture! I got the boneless Chicken Kabob over rice and chickpeas on the side. The entree also came with fresh Afghan bread. I have ordered food two days in a row from this place. I love this ground beef kabab, it's seasoned very well, it's juicy, and tastes so good. Chicken is good too but I love the ground beef. Oh and did I mention the naan aka bread now that is nicely baked and warm. It's perfection. I think they can do better on the veggie sides. I am not sure how they cook it but I didn't like it much but I don't care about the side anyway. I will always be getting my kabobs from here. read more

Walked in to pick up my order and no one was wearing a mask. The lady behind the counter was pouring sauce into mini cups and then processed my order, while wearing her mask around her neck. We ordered the chicken kebab for two with spinach and chickpeas. Both the chicken and basmati rice were perfectly seasoned. The portions are generous with a huge amount of rice. We got a side of spinach and chickpeas. Omg...let me tell you about that spinach! It was unlike anything I've ever had before. I had to try to recreate it at home to satisfy my cravings.
