So of course I did my annual eye exam in 2019 with OptimEYES and received the same treatment I did the year before. Who knew an eye exam could be easy and flawless? I also needed new glass frames and Antonio swooped in and helped me pick out a pair that was stylish and comfortable. His patience and explanation of frames made the process stress-free. It has become extremely difficult to schedule appointments with Dr. Hinkle or Dr. Boyle. After waiting weeks, we've arrived for appointments only to be told they were canceled without notice. Additionally, the front office staff is often rude and make simple questions feel like an inconvenience. The newer staff responsible for fitting glasses also do not seem to take the time to properly ensure a correct fit. This has been very disappointing given the level of care we experienced in the past. Unfortunately, today was the tipping point and we will not be back.

We arrived on time, and the front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. My daughter was seen by Dr. Frank Cassella, who was excellent. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. We truly appreciated the care he provided. Unfortunately, our experience changed when we met with Cindy after the exam to discuss glasses. She came across as rude, impatient, and disrespectful. My daughter was excited to pick out her new pair of glasses, but she was understandably indecisive about which frames she liked best. Instead of being patient and helping her through the process, Cindy repeatedly interrupted her and said, "That's not telling me what frame you want," in a dismissive tone. The interaction quickly became uncomfortable for both of us. Dr. Cassella also instructed Cindy to change the nose pads on the frames my daughter already has. When I asked about having them changed, Cindy replied, "I cannot change it because that's only if you buy the glasses from us." Her tone throughout the conversation felt condescending, and she spoke loudly in a way that made us feel talked down to rather than helped. I want to emphasize that this review is not a reflection of Dr. Cassella or the front desk staff, who were both outstanding. My concern is solely with Cindy's customer service. No customer especially a child who is excited about getting new pair of glasses should be made to feel uncomfortable or pressured. She blamed 'supply chain issues' but when we asked for a tracking # or a screen shot of the order she said non were available. I really hate leaving 1 star reviews but as a person that runs small businesses as well, I think customers should know up front who they are dealing with. This business does not care about you as a customer, and will not make things right should they go wrong. They will blame everyone else, and make excuses.
