I sat at the counter on a stool looking into a room filled with frames that I could not touch or look at closely. I was asked for my script. I told them it is at home but I would bring it when I found something. They told me it is impossible to know what to show me without it. I did tell them I have an astigmatism, a high script, I am nearsighted and I have worn progressives for many years. Still, I was told they needed a script which I found weird unless I was buying a pair. Since, I was not allowed to browse or try on frames on my own, (which felt odd since I am old enough to decide what I like on myself) it was hard for them to hone in on a frame style I wanted. So I showed a gentleman photos of styles I liked and explained that, as an art teacher, I wanted something functional but funky. He continued to show me frames he personally liked on me, including $800 Swarovski crystal frames that were completely impractical for my work. I was repeatedly scolded for not bringing my prescription -- at least seven times -- despite explaining that I was there simply to try on frames and narrow down my options. In 40 years of wearing glasses, I've never experienced this level of insistence or condescension by a sales person or a business owner. When Paige said, "How do you expect us to help you, when you come half prepared?" That comment was so shocking, that I got up and left. With no other customers in the store, there was plenty of time to find something I loved, and I would have run home to get my script. I was excited to try on frames here, since they had such a huge selection. However, I would never recommend to anyone because of the high pressure sales tactics, condescending comments, lack of professional service given. Had they been kind, listened to my requests and/or allowed me to look around a bit first, I might have given a higher score.

There was a small issue with syncing my previous exam records, so they had to contact support to get it resolved, but they kept me informed and handled it professionally. The email notifications could use some improvement--the scheduling link in the email went to the wrong system--but the scheduling link on the website worked perfectly fine. I didn't buy new frames this time since my prescription didn't change and I'm still happy with my current pair. They do have a wide selection of frames, and while many lean toward the expensive side, the quality looks good and there are plenty of nice options to choose from. Overall, a positive experience and I'll continue coming back.

They weren't technically open, but they let me in anyway and popped a new nose pad in for me in under 2 minutes. Wouldn't even accept payment! FABULOUS customer service today.

It has become extremely difficult to schedule appointments with Dr. Hinkle or Dr. Boyle. After waiting weeks, we've arrived for appointments only to be told they were canceled without notice. Additionally, the front office staff is often rude and make simple questions feel like an inconvenience. The newer staff responsible for fitting glasses also do not seem to take the time to properly ensure a correct fit. This has been very disappointing given the level of care we experienced in the past. Unfortunately, today was the tipping point and we will not be back.

So of course I did my annual eye exam in 2019 with OptimEYES and received the same treatment I did the year before. Who knew an eye exam could be easy and flawless? I also needed new glass frames and Antonio swooped in and helped me pick out a pair that was stylish and comfortable. His patience and explanation of frames made the process stress-free. Her employee got our order wrong...and as a result it took a month and a half to arrive. Instead of offering excellent customer service and overnighting us a few sample pairs of contacts to hold us over....she made us drive over an hour to pick them up (and we had to beg her to do that). She blamed 'supply chain issues' but when we asked for a tracking # or a screen shot of the order she said non were available. I really hate leaving 1 star reviews but as a person that runs small businesses as well, I think customers should know up front who they are dealing with. This business does not care about you as a customer, and will not make things right should they go wrong. They will blame everyone else, and make excuses. Take your hard earned money to someone that will care about you.

She tried to remove the object before my exam but the object was deeply stuck in there. She decided to refer me to a surgery center to ensure a safe and professional removal. I had the object removed the next morning based on her recommendation and returned a week later for my tests. The reception and the service were extraordinary and had successful annual checkup. It was my first time in this practice and will be our usual place for our eye-care needs. He took his time to examine my eyes and did some exams that other doctors had never done (such as taking a picture of the inside of my retina to see the back of the eye and its nerve, for example). It also had been super easy to get an appointment quickly as a new patient. The office staff is super helpful and very friendly. The optician was helpful with showing me all the different glasses they have in their shop, and none of the staff members were pushy about me having to buy the glasses there. They have a big selection of different styles. If you can't find what you're looking for, they offer to look things up for you or they give you the prescription so you can buy the glasses and/or contacts somewhere else. Great doctor, great office! So happy I have found them.
