When I asked him to check if there was a leak of gas from my furnace, he said everything is in good working condition and there are multiple safety measures to prevent any leak. But when I asked how to be sure there is no leak, he said that is a second step to measure with a meter and it will cost another $89. In any event, I didn't find him to be friendly and helpful to rule out my initial complaint. I did not opt for the second step. No second step for diagnosis was informed by Sal earlier. That said, I guess I must give the business a 5-star rating based on the professional scheduling and followup of the appointment. "One swallow doesn't make a summer' or "one bad day" is not a true reflection of the company. I am changing my rating at Sal's text request personally. It's only changed because I can understand Sal's concern as a businessman. He offered me free service in return but I declined it again. He got me wrong completely. My changed rating is only for the professionalism shown by the reception desk and their follow-up. It is not for the changed picture Ron gave that I asked if Ron wanted me to wear a mask. Who would ask that in one's own house? I was wearing my mask thoughout the encounter. As a 65+ year-old, I must be cautious. I don't need a service person's permission to wear a mask inside my house. Unbelievable. But I thought I must clarify to Sal's reply. Thanks Sal for your prompt response. But, isn't that a courteous way to ask ? - "You might want to wear a mask". He saw I was wearing one and he was entering my residence. Yes, I could have insisted but I think that is rude. Secondly, my complaint was "gas leak" and hence, the request to send someone from your company. I am not disputing any diagnosis. I just placed it before you, so it doesn't happen again.. I don't want any money back either. Service was rendered and I accept your company's policy. However, I thank the reception desk for immediately scheduling the appointment the same day. It was highly professional, including the update they followed up with. I commend you for that. Anyways, thanks for your immediate response. Much appreciated

While I do think Brian caught a lot of things, was very helpful explaining things there, and took a lot of pictures and videos - he missed a few big things. My first day with the keys I realized the kitchen counter was not at all attached to the kitchen counter and there was a leak in the pipes underneath the kitchen sink. After living there for two days the handle to the shower faucet broke off completely - this might not have been something he could've caught but I feel like as an inspector you would typically have a better eye than the average person for things like that. Although I did think that Brian was good at explaining everything, I was just a bit disappointed to find these things immediately.

I didnt call Window Universe intially. (my mistake) I had one company (Who I wont review) that was all the way up to getting a downpayment from me. They seemed good initially but I had to fire them when they didnt show up (it was a fourth offence) Too bad. Well I called Window Universe they came out fast. The quoting process was fast. The person (lance) who came out was very personable. Now I didnt realize this but their quote was 1500 less than the other guy I fired. Also Lance is a dialed in person. He called Provia on my door and he told me that the door I was getting was not compatible so we had to switch. The previous guy was going to give me that door with the side lights. (Was it going to even work??) yeah so there was that. The appointment took minutes. We also talked about basement glass block windows. Their prices. Right on the sheet AND they were really good about 1/2 what I expected to pay. So I am going to do that too before the winter. Anyhow when all was said and done Window Universe was less than the guy I almost used and Lance double checked he got the proper sized windows and sidelights. Great experience and I still have 3+ weeks before the windows show up. Ill come back and add some pictures after it is done. I know it is going to be great.

After several years of use, I inquired about having the tub drained as I was then not using. I was discouraged from doing that and was told that it didn't cost that much in electricity to keep it running, so I followed that advice. I just had the hot tub hauled away as both the controller pad and manual jet controller broke and the cost to replace/fix was too expensive. I received my electric bill after the hot tub removal and my electricity usage dropped substantially. The cost of the chemicals to maintain, replacement of the hot tub cover, electricity to run and eventual removal of the hot tub were all expenses that could have been avoided had the tub been drained and left for future use. I also understand that I am going to have to talk to vendors that are trying to make money off me and I am going to have to listen to their spiel and haggle with them. And then deal with several other people along the way before the job actually gets completed. After my experience with Window Nation, I don't think I can honestly recommend that anyone else purchase windows from them unless they are prepared to deal with all the hassle up until you get the actual windows. Knock on the door from an ill prepared salesman who said they were in the area that day. Had to haggle about the price and were offered coupon after coupon (price without any of the coupons was astronomical). We were offered a cruise we had to pay for (not a free cruise, only a voucher for a company that offers cruises to people who make large home improvement purchases). Huge lack of communication from the company until the actual day of the install (we had to call them several times about the cruise voucher, about a receipt, about scheduling; things were really only taken care of once the owner of the company got involved and handled things). We were given no direction to move furniture or window treatments prior to installation. Day of install was great, aside from my husband having to move all the furniture out of the way and take all the window treatments down because the installers are not allowed to do any of that, and aren't even allowed to help. Installers were professional and efficient, covered all our stuff with plastic, and didn't leave a mess behind when they left. Seriously, other than the furniture being out of place and the new windows, I would have never known they were there when I got home. So if you choose to go with this company, beware of the process prior to actually getting the windows. The installers are great, the windows are great, but the company itself and the way they handle things can give you a big headache.

Anyways, these guys made it a breeze while adding laughs along the way! They showed up right on time with a huge truck and maneuvered that bad boy on Bridge Avenue. If you know CLE neighborhoods, that's not an easy feat. They started right away with explaining everything we needed to know, had us sign paperwork and answered all questions we had. First, they told us the more we helped moved things ourselves, the quicker it would go which would essentially make it cheaper. They were totally OK with us helping shave some time off our end bill, which was a huge help. Secondly, these guys move FAST. The were tackling large furniture items left and right and I was surprised how quickly they moved. Honestly, I was worried about one of the guys who was a little on the smaller side (not an insult, just a bit lean), but he totally rocked through everything. And all this while carefully removing doors, not damaging walls and they fit everything perfectly and safely inside the truck. WOO! Third, we were just moving up the street, and they made sure they found the most efficient and quick way to get what was in the truck into our new house. They didn't wait around, racking up time and ultimately costs. Major bonus. Along the way they asked us where we wanted things, so by the time they were done, we had all our furniture in the right rooms. Lastly, these guys were so.nice. Like, really cool dudes. We bought them lunch and they took their "lunch break" time off our bill! And they were talkative and fun! Movers who are fun? Yes, they exist. I would recommend these guys to everyone. Heck, I'd invite them over for parties! The one little hiccup we had was a wasps nest that was located near our front door, which was the entrance best for loading in large items. Instead of freaking out, they found a new solution and kept going. The one guy was allergic (as am I), but eventually he just went right back to loading into the front without even thinking about it. Like I said, these guys are awesome. Highly recommended!

Anything delicate was damaged. They left doors broken in our new house. It was awful. I don't understand how they could be a professional company. When we went back to our original house, we found that they just left like 1/3 of our belongings were still there. But thrown around randomly on the floor just a complete mess, not packed. Just a horror story. We spent the next day trying to recover our stuff from the old house. And clean up after them. Thank God we moved the PC and laptops ourselves.

What I couldn't wrap my head around was...get there early and then what? So for my fellow Yelpers with slight anxiety, here's how it went: I got off work at 6am, they open at 9am. I opted to dilly dally a little longer at work because that just felt TOO early. Got there around 7:30 am, after a failed Wendy's breakfast run, to find that there were already 8 people there. There is a canopy and some chairs and a picnic bench off to the side of the building. The parking lot is somewhat chaotic and packed, but I did manage to find a spot without too big an issue. Others parked next door. Fortunately , there was a customer there who became the line ambassador. He kept most everyone in order. The employees started trickling in around 8:30a. Everyone lined up to get in the front door and on the list, just before 9. There was a small argument between the first 4 or so people about who was first....not my business. They quickly got everyone on the list, just provide your car color, make, model, year, and if you know what the issue is. I kept my keys until they came to get them. You can wait inside or outside. There is a single bathroom inside. Someone came around to get my keys at maybe 9:05a, they grabbed me to show me the issue under my car around 9:30. I was on my way home by 10:15a. The price was about $250 cheaper than what Mr. Tire quoted me. The workers I spoke with were all friendly and answered my questions. Checkout was smooth. I was advised to take a picture of my receipt because they are not computerized but they do offer a warranty. My car is so quiet now. I came home and my dog didn't even meet me at the door since he couldn't hear me coming! Would definitely use them again. Especially now that I know what to expect from the line situation.

How do you repair a part that needs to be replaced?? I'll probably go elsewhere next time.
