I called Plumbing 911 and they were wonderful at first. They dispatched Nick right away. Nick is personable and professional. He arrived, gave an estimate and performed the repair. He also found another leak in our faucet that was previously unnoticed. I ordered another faucet and Nick scheduled the follow up for install. The appointment was CONFIRMED by the office. That evening, my wife went into our finished basement to do some crafting. She found that her crafting machines were full of water. They are directly below the kitchen sink. Since one leak had been dealt with and the other identified, we felt pretty good about the situation, other than the damaged equipment, we had it under control. The next morning, we get a message saying that due to a conflict, Nick wouldn't be able to make the appointment and they were rescheduling. No phone call to ask if we were available, only a text telling us that this was how it was. I responded that this was not good and that we had a confirmed appointment. Their response was that it wasn't a conflict " at the time". They didn't offer another plumber or any other alternative. We were never asked if we had any conflict of our own with the new appointment. We were EXPECTED to comply. No further explanation. I told them that this was unacceptable and if they tried to reschedule again, that I would go elsewhere. They canceled and said go ahead. If you use them, just know that if a more profitable opportunity arises, your business is expendable. Still no direct contact. Businesses today seem to forget one thing, we pay them not the other way around. The sad thing is that Nick is everything we wanted in a contractor and we would have gone nowhere else in the future. But, reliability is key and they have proven that they can't be relied upon. With no explanation given, it can only be deduced that there was no valid explanation for canceling our work.

When I asked him to check if there was a leak of gas from my furnace, he said everything is in good working condition and there are multiple safety measures to prevent any leak. But when I asked how to be sure there is no leak, he said that is a second step to measure with a meter and it will cost another $89. In any event, I didn't find him to be friendly and helpful to rule out my initial complaint. I did not opt for the second step. No second step for diagnosis was informed by Sal earlier. That said, I guess I must give the business a 5-star rating based on the professional scheduling and followup of the appointment. "One swallow doesn't make a summer' or "one bad day" is not a true reflection of the company. I am changing my rating at Sal's text request personally. It's only changed because I can understand Sal's concern as a businessman. He offered me free service in return but I declined it again. He got me wrong completely. My changed rating is only for the professionalism shown by the reception desk and their follow-up. It is not for the changed picture Ron gave that I asked if Ron wanted me to wear a mask. Who would ask that in one's own house? I was wearing my mask thoughout the encounter. As a 65+ year-old, I must be cautious. I don't need a service person's permission to wear a mask inside my house. My husband requested I only want the sub pump I purchased with the warranty. I do not need the labor. The plumber then left refusing to give us our sub pump and said that's not how we do business. They did so and charged us $625. $200 more than our regular plumber. And no senior discount. On Saturday, the drains started popping and gurgling again. When I called on Sunday, I was told that they would call me back on Monday morning and the work should be warranted. I ended up calling them on Monday because I didn't hear back from them. I was told they did not warrant their sewer work and they would charge us another $425! A company that doesn't stand behind their work is not trustworthy. We are senior citizens and need our water! We cannot flush the toilets without severe gurgling in the drains. We can't shower without the toilets gurgling. We have to call another plumber because I will not give these people any more money, especially if they won't warranty their work!

I purchased a gas hot water tank through home depot which APPC installed in in 2023. 18 months…read morelater there was an issue with the power vent getting too much condensation and despite this falling outside of the 1 year labor warranty they fixed the issue for free the same day I called and also replaced the part for free so I didn't even need to call Rheem for the parts warranty. Issues happen so that's fine, but how they responded to the issue is what matters and they did the right thing with no questions asked by fixing the problem immediately and absorbing the cost. In addition to that the plumber that came to my house (Zack) had a good attitude, did an excellent job, worked quickly, cleaned up the area he worked in, and went above and beyond by also checking on a completely unrelated issue for me. I can only speak on my experience with the company and I can say they did everything that could be asked of them and more and Zack is an awesome employee they'd be wise to keep. I will definitely go back to APPC again for any plumbing needs (hopefully none! :)
