The second time I went for a hair color appointment and it was just as quality of a service. We talked through color options before she settled me in with the iPad and a coffee. I usually react to hair dye formulas so I've accepted it as part of the experience if I want my hair colored. But I walked out without any staining on my face and no reactions either. It was honestly such a great experience I can't wait to go back and do something else!!

Pro: - The person cutting seems professional and sweet Con: - Absolutely EXPENSIVE. $90 starting price and up depending on the needs. I get that but she charged my daughter $120. For what? Because her hair was long. OK, if we had special needs or she wanted to cut a lot, etc. maybe it's more work. However, we just cut 2 inches all the way and had bangs. That's it. Nothing else. No color. Nothing. In what way does her long hair make a difference? it doesn't. It was a rip off and my daughter said 2 days later after giving it time that it was only Mehhhh.

Recently, I wanted to get my hair cut by her again but she gets booked so if you want your hair cut by her, book a good amount in advance!! Instead, I booked with Alice. Her english seems to be a little limited but I didn't mind at all, she was very kind and I just played her a video showing the haircut I wanted. I got a long layered haircut with some curtain bangs, and cost me $130. I only complain a little because I'm broke lol but otherwise I suppose it was worth it, because it's one of the better haircuts I've gotten in my life. Also, my hair was extremely long (butt length) but Alice handled it well and was also able to finish the haircut in about an hour. Would definitely come back in the future to see either alice or stacey! *note: at the time of my haircut (oct 2024) they were no longer working out of their DTF salon! they're now in brea.

Because of her skill and care, I try to get an appointment with her when I visit OC, even though I live in NorCal. So far, very worth it! I think what makes it the most worth it are the little details in her service. She taught me how to style certain parts of my hair using the blow dryer, which I asked about because I liked the way it looked on a kdrama actress, LOL. Now I do it everyday and love it! She also provides great product recommendations. Lena's salon is petite and cute, but it feels spacious enough since she usually has one customer at a time. Lena has a gentle and sweet approach to hair, making recommendations without feeling like they're being forced on you. I really appreciate that. She has done a great job dying my mom's hair, which seems to be her speciality, but I've also really loved having my hair cut by her. The products she uses smell very good. I believe she is able to speak in Korean, Spanish, and English. Highly recommend her services!

My last had been more than 6 years ago, attempting to embrace my wavy-ish hair after years and years of getting magic straight perms. I tried - and I failed. My natural hair is thick, wavy on the inside, half straight-half wavy on the outside, and it just wasn't working for me. Booking an appointment over the phone was easy and I appreciated her upfront pricing and time estimate. My perm plus haircut took about 5 hours total. I was her only client the whole time and felt at home at her studio as she kindly offered me snacks and drinks. She asked how much length…read morethe cut so I asked for a slight trim but she ended up chopping a large portion of my hair (make sure she cuts the RIGHT length u ask for). The perm procedure took place (slightly different from the traditional, normal straight perm process since she did the neutralizer step while my hair was soaking wet dipped in their washbowl.) She also cut my wet hair while it was still soaking wet immediately after rinsing my hair post the breaking bonds step, instead of blow drying and flat ironing it (other places cuts ur hair while its dry). After she blow dried my hair after the final rinse, she charged me $270, different from the price she gave me at the start of the process saying "haircut itself is like +$30." I won't ever be returning due to this scammy malpractice *** update below: I told her that I prefer English but doesn't mean my Korean sucks which would cause miscommunication in the pricing. I was never communicated in either Korean or English that the price was an estimate, I was given a solid price no range or the word "about" was used during the call. I was never informed before the service that there would be extra steps in the service due to my hair condition - this should have been communicated before so I can decide whether or not I'd be able to pay the extra $20, instead of receiving upcharge price after all those additional "steps & curls" which I never asked for. The curls could have been done with a curling iron myself after the cut + perm, I never asked for permanent curls. I never had a single bad of this experience at any hair salon. I am honestly hoping for a hair undo and refund/my money back if possible

I took him to a new stylist at Elle after Judy left and she butchered his hair so bad loll so I went on a mission to find her! I don't write reviews often, but hoping to help her build her clientele because she is so good. My DH is crazy picky about his hair and he has a hard time finding someone he likes. After finding Judy and going to her this year, he was so upset when Judy left Elle and the previous salon wouldn't say where, so I went deep diving the internet and found her! She cuts my 2yo boys hair soo well. She is also so sweet and great with babies. So patient and has a quick hand, so she doesn't make mistakes even when they move. Also my toddler remembered from the previous salon that they gave him a lollipop after his haircut was finished, but this one didn't have any so I told him they ran out. But the Judy was so nice and went back, and remembered some lollipops from her bag and gave him some!! he was overjoyed loll It's so hard to find a good place to take baby boys, and I'm so glad I found her again and will be her forever customer. Also, cost is very reasonable for kids and men's cuts and it's worth it for all that's included. For women, it's on the lower end pricing for a Korean salon. Highly recommend Judy for all your hair needs!!
