Artistic Designs is a small town "down home" salon with NYC results. I've had my hair cut, highlighted, mani-pedis, massages & facials in NYC for over 30 years. No other Salon in our area can compare to the personalization & treatment I receive at Artistic Designs. I have been to several salons in the Rehoboth, Lewes, Millsboro & Milton area since I moved here 15 years ago. Artistic Designs is proficient in technology with scheduling appointments & follow-up with instant confirmations & reminders. I needed a stylist for my wedding & my wedding party. I was unsuccessful with 3 other salons. Moe the owner) "somehow fitted me in" for our wedding trials, and actually delayed her vacation to give us timely appointments. She was amazing. I brought her a photo of what I would like my hair to look like and she did MORE. Whenever I show anyone my wedding photos the very 1st thing they ask is: "Where & who did your hair & makeup? You look stunning!" Moe is extremely polite, kind, patient, "listens" to your requests, makes honest suggestions, but most of all, very talented. She is the ONLY stylist in our area who is certified & trained with L'Oréal and was a teacher & leader in their company throughout the US. Her creative talent speaks for her expertise and is unmatched. In addition she is efficient, prompt and fast. Moe has done my color highlights & cuts for the past 2 years. Christian her assistant is a credit to the salon. He is also a professional who cares about every client, & always brightens my day with his delightful, positive, upbeat attitude. Also, Christine did my wedding makeup application -- it was flawless. She too is patient, talented & very knowledgeable. The best part about Artistic Designs Salon is that I don't need to get "dressed up," & have makeup on to be treated special. Other neighborhood salon's staff look down upon you if you're not "perfectly dressed" in stylish cloths wearing makeup--when you arrive; they treat you disrespectfully. You have to "look great" to be "treated great."' Many, many neighborhood salons are snobby and only treat you well if you come in looking spectacular. At Artistic Designs I come in "just the way I am" (not in my NYC best,) but I leave there feeling beautiful! I have recommended Artistic Designs to my staff, my friends & neighbors. They too have been very satisfied with their results. Artistic Designs a small salon, with a small staff but treats every client respectfully & does spectacular work. Artistic Designs is my last salon stop. My thanks & blessings to all of them. I had a curly cut with Wendy at Artistic Design on Tuesday. I have salt and pepper crazy curly hair and Wendy did a fabulous job! I showed her pictures of ideas and she took the time to pick a style that worked with my curls and complimented my face. I have had expensive curly cuts since I moved to Delaware and have been disapointed. A few weeks ago I paid $180 for a bad haircut with a "curly hair specialist" down the road. I paid $45 ( a fourth of the price) for an amazing cut by Wendy.Two of my girlfriends also use Wendy for their short wavy haircuts and are also very happy that they found a wonderful stylist! I had my haircut done at Artistic Design this week, last Thursday. Wendy did my haircut. She did a terrible job, I wasn't satisfied with what she did my hair. She cut it very short with no style at all. Will not be coming back at this salon at all. I recommend Heather to do your haircut next time you come to this place. read more

I am so happy I found you guys! Wendy is great and did a fabulous cut/shampoo for me the first time and then just recently did some color for me as well to add in dimension from a previous job that didn't really have any/grew out and was looking a lil' rough. I loved going here. I experienced my first facial today with Hannah! She is absolutely incredible and works so carefully with the client. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, I almost fell asleep! She's very thorough and her energy relaxed me even more. I was so excited! This made my day and really took a lot of stress away! The whole atmosphere of the Salon and Spa feels wonderful. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend Hannah for any and all esthetician needs and services. read more

I am not typically one to leave a review...I am not from the area & called this salon asking for an appointment only 2 weeks prior to my Son's Wedding @ Baywood Country Club. They quickly called me back and fit me in with appointment times for hair & makeup prior the ceremony. The staff was warm & welcoming and the entire experience was relaxing & fun. Didn't like the cut , i said i do not like short hair. Took like four inches off zoom ! the style i was left with i had no idea what to do . Stopped bothering trying to comb it , just deal until it grows out. Pretty expensive eyebrow dye said whole kit was $18 i only have half brows ended up sending me out with dye all over side of my face had to spit on tissues to get off before store i don't see well without my glasses so i got a better view outside plus soaked me $25 for brows and $47 for hair ugh still sticks out in crazy directions read more

After trying many salons in Lewes and Rehoboth I came upon Artistic Salon in Lewes. I called one day and asked for the most experienced hair stylist and I was hooked up with the owner Mo. Well Mo is fabulous as is her staff. Mo listens and takes her time while cutting, coloring, highlighting and the results are wonderful. As Mo states you start off as a customer and leave like family. I searched yelp for a hair salon after moving to DE a few weeks ago. Eventually I just took a chance and picked one. I used the very convenient on line scheduling offered by the website. I was greeted when I arrived and taken for my services promptly. The stylist, Patrice Mullett did exactly what I asked her to do and I was very pleased with my haircut! I cannot speak for anyone here but my stylist. Her name is Carolyn. She is phenomenal. I think I would get on a plane to have her do my hair if she moved to another state! Color, cut...she's perfect. And she does what YOU want...not what SHE wants. And the price is very reasonable. read more

After several failed attempts at other salons, I was ecstatic to find Holly Burris at Artistic Designs. She took the time and effort to ask what I wanted, how I planned to wear my hair and took a little more off the back at my request because of recent hot weather. The salon was very clean, the staff friendly but not intrusive. All this for a reasonable price. I plan on going back as long as Holly is there. My bridesmaids and I went to Artistic Designs Salon to have our hair and make up done for my wedding a week ago, and they did an incredible job. All of my bridesmaids looked beautiful and Mo, the owner, did an absolutely amazing job with my hair. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and even gave us each a little goody bag with some chocolates and a few other things when we left. We all walked away very pleased. read more
