Why the sour reviews? They all reflect some kind of ambivalent emotional response- vindictive even…read more We have been coming here since they opened, and frequented his prior establishment at the Silk Mill. Nowt a bad experience. The menu is appropriate to the wine. This is a Wine Bar- that is the focus. Jason, the proprietor knows his trade very well, and is not bashful to discuss it, his passion for it, and his history in said trade. Said passion runs thoroughly deep, and his wealth of knowledge may even supersede this. The monthly Wine Dinners showcase his unending search for lesser known, and often hard to find wines within the contiguous United States- Jason being an ex-pat Aussie. I've come to expect a bit of a story and charade with each dinner- and experience. I like that the sampled wines are all generally for sale. The food is usually paired very well, and executed as such. There do seem to be a regularly rotating staff, but that's irrelevant to the experiences. It's his show. Sometimes the portions can be a bit too large at the dinners, and that says a lot for the price- very fair. As for the restaurant proper, the portions are fine. His curated charcuterie board is spectacular, and local. The Bavarian aspect is appreciated quite well. I miss Zum Stammtisch in NY- now, that does not mean this is a German Restaurant, but there are enough influences and pop-up fare that ist es wunderbar! His schnitzels are always thin as paper, crispy as seashells, and delightfully tasty. We always have the German Fare when it's available, as it so often it. For a state populated by/with so many Germans, this is THE ONLY good true German food around. The overall decor is a bit dim (lighting) and old world European- this is not negative- I prefer this to modern settings. There is a 'secret' Narnia room which is reserved for parties of 12 or more. I quite like the concept- though have not used it- had the tour. Again, the wine list is incredibly extensive, and you can always find what you want. Ask. Then, visit the curated wine shop next door! Truly one of a kind. That's another review. Book the specialty dinners weeks in advance as they generally sell out, but pop on a standard night, as there are usually a few tables open. Sit at the bar and chat with the staff about the wines- it's an adventure.

Very quaint spot located in Easton. We stopped in on a Sunday evening about an hour before closing,…read moreand the restaurant was fairly quiet. Camille, our server, was excellent. While the food wasn't personally my favorite, a few dishes stood out--especially the Roman-style grilled artichoke, which had the perfect crispness, along with the lobster ravioli and the German apple cake, which was nicely balanced and not overly sweet. The flavors overall leaned earthy, which may just not be my personal preference, as my parents love this place and are regulars. I would definitely come back for wine and appetizers. The restaurant offers authentic German cuisine and is truly unique, with nothing else quite like it in the Lehigh Valley.

The aged steaks are well prepared, and the 500-degree plate presentation does what it is designed to do. The sizzling plate may impress first-timers, but it is straight from the national chain playbook and no longer feels special. It preserves heat, not originality. Sides are à la carte and priced aggressively for what are essentially standard steakhouse accompaniments. They are fine. They are not memorable. At this price point, diners reasonably expect at least one dish that shows some imagination. The wine list is the biggest disappointment. It reads like a Pennsylvania "Chairman's Selection" circular rather than a curated cellar. Safe, widely available bottles dominate, with little depth or personality. For a restaurant positioning itself as an upscale destination, that lack of curation is hard to ignore. Service was professional and the dining room attractive. If you want a reliable local steakhouse and do not mind paying for it, Three Oaks will meet expectations. If you are looking for distinction or a reason to return beyond convenience, you may find it difficult to justify the bill.

The place is beautiful with great seating not too condensed as well as bar seating. Service was second to none. Pleasant and friendly (Darcie was great). The food was great. We had: Wedge salad - great Bread- great Sides of green beans and fries - great Fillet and cowboy rib eye omg. These were both cooked to perfection. The biggest struggle was saving a little to bring home for my son to try. We loved it. Thanks again.

I discovered this charming pub while visiting Bethlehem (otherwise known as Christmas City USA)…read moreduring the recent holiday season. The space was lively, yet cozy. First time I visited was for lunch. As soon as I saw the menu, I knew I needed to order the Wild Scotch Egg (difficult to find). I also had the half portion of Fish and Chips. The Wild Scotch Egg consisted of hard boiled egg and sausage, which was panko fried, sitting on Guinness fondue and crisp arugula, topped with Parmesan crisps. I really enjoyed this. The outer breading was light and satisfyingly crispy, while the egg and sausage interior was expertly cooked, tender and well seasoned. Cheesy fondue sauce was rich and creamy. Parmesan crisp was a nice, tasty touch. The beer battered Fish and Chips were also yummy. Fish was succulent, perfectly flaky and flavorful, while the Steak Fries were wonderfully crunchy, full of true potato taste. I knew I needed to return in order to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding, one of my all time favorite desserts. This was served warm, with Earl Grey tea date sponge cake, paired with sweet sticky toffee sauce and clotted cream. So deliciously mouthwatering and decadent! Service was good. The waiter was warm and easy to talk with. Everything came out in a timely manner. Prices were quite reasonable. I'm glad I came across this place to have my fill of some British classics!

The roast beef was chewy and just gross. I'm assuming if you are a few drinks deep, you don't notice how bad the food is because there is no reason for this place to be four stars.
