The city of Raleigh refuses to check their water meter or replace it without an invoice from a plumber. Our water bill was higher than usual the last few months. I did a toilet leak test and found no leaks. Nothing else on the property showed a leak. I called the water department and they were less than helpful. Despite our bill going DOWN after turning ON our sprinkler system, they insisted there was a leak. Matthew's Plumbing sent two guys out who listened to the story, checked the meter as I did, checked the crawl space (no leaks) and listened to me complain about the water department. I was expecting to pay $200+, instead they only charged me $75. These people are honest. I was upset enough that I would have paid the $200 or more had they asked me to do so. Worst quality plumber ever, and very rude! They did a lot of work on my house, both repairing and…read moreinstalling. Having the name " 24/7 " is a joke because several times they were complete no-shows without notification phone calls. I wasted three different Saturdays waiting for Brandon to show up to do work and he never called or showed up. They also did the same thing to me twice during the week. Now it's 8 months later, they still haven't completed all work that I paid them for. They couldn't even install a showerhead properly, they installed it way too high and recessed for practical purposes, they refused to take responsibility and I had to end up paying additional money to have it fixed. This company from the top down is not trustworthy and does very poor quality work, and they are rude and argumentative.

I had to call several times to get an update about completion of the rough in. His response was, oh we had an emergency call we had to go. They dug a hole I. my back yard and left it open for several a couple of months. They were supposed to run a camera in the septic pipe to locate the septic tank. I had to call and ask when they were coming to do that. His response was oh my camera is broke I have to send it out to get repaired. His guys tore down hvac ducts because they were in the way of running the water/drain lines. I know it was them because no one had been under the house except them. I told him an out the issue and he said I have to side with my guys because I wasn't there to see them do it. Absolutely zero communication with them. Not from the owner or the office employees. If you are running a plumbing company you should have service techs and installers. This happened on multiple occasions. They set me back a month. I do not recommend using them for any projects.
