TLDR; David is freaking awesome and I would recommend him to anyone and is now my HVAC person. I came home this evening with no power to my thermostat and needless to say no ac. It was about 5pm and I'm switching thermostats, flipping breakers and not getting anywhere so I grabbed my voltage meter to test the wiring and noticed I wasn't getting any voltage. My knowledge pretty much ended there. It was about 8pm when I found David through a Google search for Fuquay-Varina, NC HVAC Technicians and noticed the Yelp link. It showed a bunch of companies but they were closed so I filtered to just Open Now and called the 1st link but they were booked tonight and wouldn't have anything until tomorrow. So I went back down the list and Air Heat was the 5th listing. Listings 2-4 had no reviews or bad reviews so I and David had 2 recent high reviews so I called him and explained to him the issue. He said he would call me back in a couple minutes and he actually did. Said he would come check it out and drove all the way from Raleigh. Got here at 9pm and went straight to the unit, I had to buy a new thermostat because the other one was dead from a power surge a month ago and I had an old temporary one on. Well I bought another Nest and hooked it up but couldn't get power and then after about 10 minutes the power came back on so I was able to continue setting up the thermostat. Once I finished I ran system tests and cold air wasn't coming out. I called Nest to make sure I had the wires correct, which I didn't and he came in and made sure all the wires were good and also talked to Nest customer support with me while changing the wires for me. After all that was done we were able to test the cooling system properly and he stayed to make sure everything was working even after we confirmed it was cooling. At this time it was about 11pm and he was done and packed and everything was working. He explained to me what the issue was and how it could have happened and also told me if it happens again how to fix it with diagrams and all. He was prompt, courteous, honest, knowledgeable, competent, reasonable and thorough. With so few standing by their word and doing quality work it was definitely refreshing to meet David and have him fix my AC so my dogs and I didn't have to stay in an 85+ degree house until the next day. read more

Been searching for some one to help us with our aging HVAC "air conditioning" system. The hvac unit was installed in 1997 when our home was built, yeah 25 years. Every business we talked to on the phone wanted to talk replacement. No one offered information about sending someone out to do an inspection or service first. We called Air Heat Raleigh and explained our issues to David, a HVAC technician. David said he would be at our home within an hour. David arrived and explained the inspection work he would be doing. Our HVAC unit only needed cleaning and freon added to the system. The air conditioning works just great. David was great! Came out same day, diagnosed the problem, retrieved the necessary part and had the house warm again. Overnight an issue came up with the newly installed part and the system failed. I contacted David the next morning and he was back onsite within an hour and fixed the problem with the defective part. No request for additional $$$.
