The person in charge was belligerent and told me my car was already dirty. I called and spoke with Tyler the co-owner and while he apologized, he never ask for my information and would not pay to get my car washed which I suggested. The next day, the same worker used the leaf blower again and blew dirt all around the tenants cars AFTER I had already mentioned this issue. If they've been in business for awhile they should know to warn people to move their cars or cover stuff. Really poor judgment.

Eric and his crew tackled a tough job to level the uneven soil in our 700 sq. ft. +/- area in preparation for upgrading the existing soil to improve out backyard to install a new sprinkler system and Marathon I sod. (I hope that if possible, Resolve Landscapers wouldn't mind adding any additional information that I may have overlooked). In addition, Resolve installed PTL lumber along the tree line, a separate drip system for additional plantings around our trees, and added a B-Hyve wi-fi enabled watering system with multiple stations to allow us to control the timing for watering backyard areas. We also had flagstone stepping stone pavers installed in one of the corners of our backyard, with 3/8" Del Rio pea rocks to support the walkway. There poured and laid concrete broke after 5 days. The professionalism was extremely poor. Communication was inconsistent, timelines were not honored, and the overall quality of work was unacceptable. The concrete started developing cracks within the first week, which clearly reflects poor workmanship and lack of proper preparation and finishing. They also failed to properly wash and glaze/seal the concrete after completion. Overall, this was a very stressful and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable or honest work. Please do your research and stay away.

His crew, including his Dad, was there on Tuesday morning and went right to work. His Dad spent more than 30 years working on Cal-Trans projects, and he knows and applies their specifications, for a quality job. My system had several breaks, which were wasting water BIG TIME! I have used OC Sprinkler Doctor twice over the years, spending a combined $2,849 for sprinkler work…read moreat my home. The first visit cost $1,133 and covered the initial setup and repairs to both my front and back yard sprinkler systems. They did a good job and I was happy with the results. I brought them back a second time for $1,716 to handle wiring, fix some broken sprinkler components in the front yard, and extend the system to cover additional areas. The wiring of both the front and back systems was done perfectly, and I appreciated that part of the work. That said, if you have fruit trees or citrus in your yard, be aware that they do not have the expertise to handle specialized watering needs for those plants. The sprinklers near my fruit trees were set up incorrectly, and a professional arborist I later consulted told me the configuration would overwater the trees. I called OC Sprinkler Doctor to come back and fix the issue, but they never returned my call. Now I am in a position where I will need to hire a professional arborist who also can do landscaping to come back and fix the sprinkler system again, likely at a cost of $3,000 or more, when I am able to afford it. They are reasonably priced and capable of handling standard sprinkler lawn work, but the lack of specialized knowledge around vegetables, fruit trees and citrus trees, combined with the complete silence when I tried to get the issue resolved, may end up costing me far more in the end.

They have literally everything contractors could possibly need from sand, P gravel, stone, rocks, brick, decorative concrete pavers, large landscape boulders, mortar, everything. I didn't need much, as my planter is only about 7' by 2' max, and I was afraid that maybe they didn't do small sales - but they did and I was able to fill 2 5 gal buckets when what I needed :) I was able to find small/ medium white rocks and also brown lava rocks. The Only thing they don't have is small black lava rock but they do have that in a medium size :) The younger guy that works there also offered to help me get my stone together. Chivalry is not dead folks LOL! So that was appreciated. I don't know what I was thinking, by showing up without a shovel, but they let me use one of theirs.

We spent many months learning about turf and exploring different products. We had several companies come to our place and give bids in addition to going to turf stores. ATD had the softest turf out of them all and was reasonably priced and seemed high quality. The people that worked in the showroom were very helpful. They simply shared their knowledge on the turf, care and install without being pushy or trying to close a sale. The installer even came to our place and gave us even more exact measurements and planning and gave exact prices for self install vs professional. Ultimately we went with professional install and could not be happier. It is one of the best investments we have made in our house and are using our backyard all the time. The second guy, a trusted sprinkler specialist, said he had experience installing drain covers, so I hired him. He gave it a go, but it was clear he was in over his head. So I called CRI. Their rep was responsive and businesslike, and they had good reviews. I accepted his bid of $1800. I thought that price was high, but I thought it would take at least two men about a day, and I wanted to get the job done correctly before more rain fell. On March 6, CRI showed up on time. To my surprise, it took one worker with some supervision to complete the job in about four hours. $1800 for one guy + a part-time supervisor + materials in four hours? I told the CRI rep I thought that was a really high price, expecting he would come down from the $1800. He replied "sorry, it was a really complex job" which was just not true. There hasn't been enough rain since then to test CRI's work. My guess is the job was done right, and my drainage problem has been solved. But was it worth paying two or three times more than a reasonable price? No way. I should not have agreed to CRI's $1800 estimate, and that's on me. I feel like CRI took advantage of my desire to get this job done quickly and correctly. So buyer beware

After a particularly bad experience with another contractor (that we are literally still paying for years later as their work has begun catastrophically failing), it was incredibly refreshing to work with Jonah and his team. As with all construction jobs, things came up on ours, but Jonah took care of everything. These guys had a great attitude and I never felt afraid to bring up any concern to them, even if there was any disagreement -- again, not something I can say about our last contractor. That being said, the one small piece of advice I have if you work with Surfside is to really double check the feasibility and implementation of any "custom" or non-standard parts of your build. This could easily be alleviated by working with a designer, which we did not do, so just be sure to do your due diligence in pushing for feasibility checks early on so you don't end up having to redo any work. Even with the small bumps along the way, with contractors I've learned attitude is everything. These guys do great work, but more importantly with a good attitude! We are planning to redo our kitchen in the future and our current plan is to go with Surfside again, which I think really says it all.

However, we picked them since they were extremely professional and communicative out of all the options the city gave us for contractors. Even after being selected to do our roof replacement, the team was still very communicative and professional, even after the job was done. They went above and beyond in making sure we were happy with their work. Very clean and willing to work with our schedules. Also, the roof replacement was done very quickly, despite how good quality the workmanship was. Will definitely contact them again for other construction work for our house and recommend them to anyone in the local area.

I hired him to fill in my unused pool after the Eaton fire. It took longer than it normally would have, due to some permitting issues related to draining the toxic water from the pool. There was a lot going on during the aftermath of the fire, so things didn't necessarily go as smoothly for me as they did for my neighbors, but when all was said and done, the pool got filled in with the necessary permitting in place, and now I have a nice, large backyard with none of the worries and maintenance that go with having a pool. You should know that Marvin really wants his customers to be happy. I'm sure that's what impressed my neighbors about him, and ultimately it left a good impression on me as well. My advice would be to be vocal if you feel something isn't going well; based on my experience, Marvin will try to make it right.

Marvin stayed in contact with me throughout the permit process and as the job was in progress. They left my backyard perfectly prepped for the walls and pavers we have going in soon. Also, my children loved watching the work and the machine operators were always friendly to them.
