We went with Artificial Grass Masters to install a small area of grass in our backyard. The sales rep was very helpful and we were able to get the grass installed within a couple of weeks. The only thing I had a difficult time with was nailing down an installation date for planning purposes. I had scheduled what I thought was the initial installation date but the installers did not show up that day. They came the next business day and installed the grass. A month ago I got an estimate for a backyard putting green and grass around it. The sales/project manager was super nice. It would take two days to do the install. I made the 50% deposit. That turned into bs. A month later, I'm still waiting. The crew showed up for 1 hour one day, 3 hours the next. And now doesn't show up at all. Promises, promises, promises. I've had so much smoke blown up my backside, its unreal. THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR COMPANY. This is a company that bites off more than they are capable of doing. They can run around giving out estimates and taking your deposit, but when it comes to performance - forget it. They can't get it completed on time or at all. I wanted to use them because they were veteran owned. My advice, don't use them. You will be frustrated. read more

I would give 5 stars to the install crew. I am giving 1 star to the company/management. I will change my rating with this company as soon as the owner calls my husband back regarding our install. We had a sales guy out on June 17th and purchased that night. Our install was the week of June of 22nd. We called our sales guy two days after Install with a specific concern with the product (not the install). He came out a day or so later, examined it and took pictures. He thought it appeared to be a factory defect and said he put us on the schedule for repair. Fast forward to July 8th. Still No repair, no phone calls. We called July 9th and spoke with Tina. She asked us to text 3 types of pictures and some info. We texted immediately and she responded that she passed them along to the boss. Fast forward to July 15th still no contact from company so we called again. Tina asked us to resend the pictures and info. My husband asked to have the owner call the next day. We immediately sent the pictures. I received no text response back. In addition to the phone call, I asked her to have the owner call my husband the next day and left his number again. It is July 16 and still no phone call. We have a serious issue with a defect in the grass and no solution a month later. I am fully willing to change my rating if this company turns things around and addresses our issue affectively. Until then, I would not recommend them which is disappointing as they have BBB accreditation, Angie's list Etc... Update... Changed rating from one star to two because we are Making progress. Sadly, I have to give this place one star. I was looking forward to potentially working with this company and giving them some business, however, the woman who answers the phone is not pleasant and snappy when trying to book appointments and makes it hard and frustrating to do so. It did not leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling that I was working with a company that has my best intentions. I hope that whoever decides to go with this company is more successful than I am don't get their heads ripped off by the cranky scheduler. Do not I repeat do not call these guys for anything! I had them install grass and pavers in my backyard and within the first 4months it was ruined. I called and they sent out a technician to look and he said he would look into it.. that was 4years ago.. I didnt hear anything back from them so I waited a little bit and called them back and they ended up sending another guy out. Ends up they didnt install it pl properly and a window nearby was reflecting the sun onto the grass and melting it. So they sent me a quote of 400$ to fix it (this was 3years after they installed it) I then said ok that's fine let's move forward and get it done. Couple months later it never got done and they had to send out ANOTHER technician and now to repair it is 1000$ to fix it. I called them and the the guy was rude and hung up the phone on me.... just the absolutle worse experience I've ever had with any company with anything. Just be aware of that. This is my second review of Arizona Grass Masters. In July 2016 they installed artificial grass at my new home. The company was just starting out and getting on its feet. They did a nice job and I had no complaints. In 2021 I noticed that the grass was deteriorating; small clumps were coming up. I called their office and they were quick to schedule a gentleman to come and review the situation. Once he came, the employee noted that it was a manufacturer issue that they had seen before. I thought oh boy here we go... That was not the case. The company ordered the replacement turf and scheduled an install date. Normally in these situations they charge for the labor to install, but graciously chose not to. The install team came as scheduled, removed the old turf and did a great job installing the new turf. I am a very satisfied customer. Great to see a company stand by their warranty. I would recommend them without hesitation. read more

I'm posting this at the very early stage of my project. Five stars so far. Nick came out to provide quotes, then came back to get my down payment and help me out with paperwork to make sure the specs meet my HOA requirements. He reviewed the quotes in detail, so hopefully there will be no cost surprises or errors come up later with his measurements or pricing. I have read some Yelp reviews that people have problems during the install process, so I will definitely keep an eye out for quality of product and the quality of the workers when the time comes. I always do my research prior reviewing 4 1/2 stars and better, reading lots of reviews, and calling the top 4 of those companies to come out and give me an estimate. It's a big investment so I'm not motivated by who is the least expensive, but by who offers the best quality for the price. I want somebody licensed, bonded, & insured, who has better warranties, how did the representative carry them self when they came out to give me the bid, was everything upfront on the estimate, etc. Artificial Grass Masters met my criteria and I was pleased with Steven who came out to bid my project. The price was reasonable and they even price matched with the information I supplied. I not only purchased their turf, I also purchased one of their pergolas. Steven was very patient with me as I had many questions. The availability was not long for installation. My install was July 10th, 2019. The materials were delivered ahead of time. The pergola was installed first and took the guys only 3 hours and they cemented the poles in the ground and it was perfect. It was better than I expected it to look once it was all assembled in my back yard. A few days later came the artificial grass. Several workers came out and laid it all out in no time. It looked absolutely green and lush! I was very pleased with how both turned out. I waited some time to write the review to give it time should any problems arise, but it has been an investment I am happy with so far. I get lots of compliments from neighbors, friends, and family. So the only cons I wanted to say was that the communication between when things were going to be delivered and installed weren't the best. Products were delivered with out a phone call (the person would show up) and that was inconvenient. The dumpster took way longer to be picked up after the job was completed. My HOA was very upset. I had to call to tell them to hurry this up. So basically, just the communication needs just a little refinement. The only other thing I want to mention is for any dog parents considering artificial grass. Don't let any company tell you that the grass does not get hot in this Arizona sun. It really does. Extremely hot. That is the only downsize which I did not realize to what extent. Especially if there is no shade whatsoever. I am lucky that I purchased that pergola specifically so that my furry babies would have some source of shade in the backyard. Dogs can go out and do their business but when the sun is pounding straight down, they will not want to be out on it for long. So please be mindful of that. Now when there is shade your furry pets will love their yard. They will play and roll around on it for hours especially after you water it down a bit. It is easy to clean up except of course if they vomit or have diarrhea. (Think of it as carpet, it smears in the fibers.) So wet ones help. I spray the yard down daily so that hopefully it will not smell like urine. The envirofill is supposed to help with that, so, so far so good. Overall I would recommend this company and the products. I am so happy I never have to mow my backyard again! I just love that my backyard has green grass all the time, even if it is artificial!!!!! read more

We had artificial grass masters come out a few months ago for a quote. Upon meeting the owner and talking over the types of grass they have, my husband and I decided to go ahead with the install. They came out a week later and had the job finished in about 4 hours. So far, we've been very pleased. It looks so nice, really quite real looking. Our neighbors came over to pet it to see if it was. We've had the turf for 3 months now and are loving low maintenance and saving water. Highly recommend these guys! read more

Would never do business with them again. Dumped a big pile of sand in the street. They did not need it for the job so they just drove off and left it. Nine days so far! Called them several times and they refuse to come get it and will not answer my calls now. When they brought the grass and bags of sand they dumped that in the neighbors front yard. They cannot read house numbers apparently.They claim to care about customer satisfaction. What a joke! I am reporting them to the ROC now. Great customer service is demonstrated not only by delivering a great product, but also in how you resolve problems. It would be foolish for any business to think they can get a job 100% perfect any time, and how they make it right shows their integrity as a business. Sadly, my experience with Artificial Grass Masters did not demonstrate great customer service. A salesman came out, worked with us on our budget and we left the initial meeting assured that he would be with us beginning to end, including installation day, to ensure everything went smoothly and as we talked about. We had a backyard that was basically dirt with lots of weeds, and we opted to install about 500 square feet of turf bordered by curbing, then gravel spread on the remaining portion of the yard, and also to extend our existing patio and install a walkway in another part of the yard with pavers. We also requested that an existing sprinkler system be capped off/removed. We paid 50% up front, with an agreement to pay the remainder upon completion of the job. Supplies were delivered ahead of our installation date. Workers were fast, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. Our only surprise at this stage was that our salesman who promised he'd be there through the entire project only showed up for a few minutes on the first morning. At this point though, we were happy. Our turf, gravel, curbing, and pavers had all been installed correctly and looked great. Then, it rained. Less than two weeks after install, our new gravel began to hide under a forest of weeds. I had seen installers putting weed barrier on one portion of the yard and since weeds were discussed with our salesman, we understood weed barrier would be installed throughout the yard. But when I began looking under gravel, I found that weed barrier was installed in only two small sections of yard. We also found that though they capped off the main valve stations to our sprinkler system, the actual system itself was still in place, with piping sticking out several inches above the ground. Another week went by before we were contacted by Artificial Grass Masters for a final walkthrough and exchange of the remaining 50% payment. By then the weeds had spread to most of the yard, including the border of the turf itself, between curbing and our patio. We brought this up with the employee who did this final visit, George. George assured us that they would take care of the issue, but I stated I wasn't comfortable paying the remaining 50% until the issue was resolved- I wanted weed barrier over the entire yard; after all, I had gravel installed so I wouldn't be pulling weeds every time it rains! George offered to let us speak with his boss, as an act of good faith and an attempt to secure the payment. When George called the office, we first spoke to the manager, Nema. Nema immediatly, without hearing us out, threatened to turn us over to collections for not paying the rest of the balance due. I tried to tell her that I was willing to give them $1000.00 to show good faith to get them to come out and complete their job. She then tried to tell me that I'd be in violation of the contract by not paying 90% of what is due (which, if you read your contract, is a false statement). Then she handed the phone over to Ricardo. He informs me that installing weed barrier isn't his problem and we will be turned over to collections for not paying the balance. Ricardo says the best they can do is a onetime weed spray. I declined that offer and said we wanted the weed barrier that we were told we would get. Ricardo then tells me that it's "God's fault" there are weeds in those spots and If I want the weeds removed, I'd have to take it up with God, cause God is the one that put the weeds there. After my religious lesson from Ricardo, I handed the phone over to George. Having one of the owners of the company talk to me like that, I'm really have serious regrets for dealing with this company. George tried to apologize for the way Nema & Ricardo talked to me. I was told that they're Puerto Rican, they get fired up some times. What a joke This is what I'm talking about- just admit you made a mistake and fix it- that's great customer service. Don't threaten and shift blame. Instead, this situation became a weeks-long, blown out affair of going back and forth with this company, "bartering" a deal which was really just us trying to get the job done right the way it should have been done. Upon reading some other reviews, I see that this is definitely a pattern for them- they aren't going to admit they messed up and you're going to have to stay on them if you want any kind of issue resolved. Eventually we got Artificial Grass Masters to send some guys out to finally remove the sprinkler system, scrape back the gravel, and install weed barrier, but upon further inspection, it's still not in place throughout the yard. My goal now is just to be done with this crappy company. read more

Do not hire them. My rule of thumb hire slow, fire fast. I always start with small job to see how I and project will be treated. Went through appt. They don`t advise over the phone min. job is $1500+for 225 sq.ft and demand cash for this price. Its more if you pay with check. If you don`t want to spend more, you will be treated badly. $4.75/sq.ft on their truck advertisement is misleading, it is not. I installed turf before and never had delivery charge of additional $200 tag on. This coupon on yep $100-$250 I have mentioned twice, and no one cared to apply or honor it if I would choose check option, needless to say it should of still be at $1500 after coupon applied. Bogus. In addition, when I asked to make sure quote has written confirmation that matching pieces for turf and pavers are to be installed( I agreed that I do not need new huge roll for the shapes and pool cool deck install due its sizes), I have been told by their manager, Ricardo, you got a great deal and contract will NEVER say all will match as a matter of fact be sure it will be ALL UNMATCHED! What? 1 person answers the phone, 2 managers, 1 person to come down for appt, owner is not available to talk to. NO wonder, too many people. Do yourself a favor and keep looking! I could of install thousands of dollars worth of backyard products and build outs in 3 properties, BUT guess what I am not. They didn`t pass the test. read more

I strongly advise you do not use this company. I had a two day project in my backyard and it was completely done poorly. Pavers were not in alignment, the artificial grass was cut and placed in a Paver rectangle that was not rectangle, nor was it placed in my backyard where it was suppose to be. I have photos and you would not believe how poorly the work product was. I use the word "poorly " but that is an understatement. Stepping Pavers 2 feet by 4 feet had dips in them also. Was very condescending, was unable to provide me with any current promotions they had, but not only was he unable, he was unwilling. He wanted me to do all the leg work if I wanted a current special. The company contacted me via email to ask if I had additional questions and I let me them know my horrible experience and they never responded and apparently didn't care. We didn't have the minimum sf for them to install but they sell Do It Yourself Kits. The salesman came to our house and was not told that we needed a DIY kit. He seemed a little disappointed that it was a DIY kit. We ordered the grass and arranged to have it delivered either Wed. or Thurs. I asked if they would call first and he said probably. He said to call him if I wanted an update on delivery. The screeding arrived on Tuesday and they didn't even come to the door to say they were here and just dumped it on the street. I found it was here when I went to get the mail. I waited all day Wed and most of the day on Thurs and no delivery. I called the salesman and he seemed a little disturbed that I called him as he said he didn't have any clue about delivery after he turns in the order. He said he would check and get back with me which he didn't. I called the office on Friday and left a message saying I did not receive my grass. The salesman called back saying it was on the truck and should be delivered by midday. It came in a pickup truck and the delivery man was very good. He brought the grass in back and 3 bags of sand and I said where is the nails that the kit comes with. He said he wasn't told to bring any nails. After calling his boss he said he had to go back and get the nails which he did. I found out after looking up on their website I was supposed to also get a weed block fabric which I have not received. Your grass doesn't come pre-cut to fit your dimensions and you have to seam it. The kit does not come with seaming tape even though every lawn needs seaming. To me the seaming tape should come with the kit. It seems communication in this company is poor. They do not communicate to sales people nor do they communicate with their customers about delivery. I would not do business with this company again. read more

He gave us an estimate the same day, explained everything thoroughly and gave us a timeline. They had the products delivered as scheduled (grass, gravel, pavers and bricks). The installation crew came a few days later and in one day installed 420 sq. ft. of artificial grass, pavers in 2 areas and a 25 ft. wall. The installers were delayed because of the rain that week, but still wound up finishing on The projected timetable. The installers were very friendly, worked very hard and did a wonderful job. Hired this company to install artificial grass. After a few rescheduled starts due to the rain and lack of follow up from the company; the work on my install began. Aside from two of the workers using my garden in my yard as a bathroom! The work performed was well done and at a reasonable price. The clean up was not as highly performed. Less than two years of the installation and Artificial Grass is falling apart The first time they came and looked at it I was informed it was an inferior material and the manufacturer discontinued this type of grass "Desert Mirage" due to poor quality........ and he took pictures Second time they came they said they will get in touch with the Manufacture and our chances are very good that they will replace the grass, even though we will have to pay for the labor and took more pictures We have a warranty for 15 years from Artificial Grass Masters. But according to them this warranty is thru the Manufacture in other words they don't back up the product that they are installing! Somebody came from the manufacture and we had an appointment but came at a different time when we were not at home and took more pictures. The result of his visit it's from "normal wear and tear" We don't even step on some of the parts where it's getting damaged and flat. There is only the two of us living here with no animals.
