We had Dan and his team "remodel" our backyard--irrigation, lights, hardscape, plant materials--they did it all. Dan is a great designer, and the design work is part of their package. We couldn't be happier with how it has all turned out. They guaranteed their plants, gave us great advice on watering schedules, and stayed in touch to ensure we continued to be happy with their service. I cannot recommend them more highly. We don't live in a big, fancy house--we live in a modest neighborhood where most homes (including ours) were built in the 1960s. They were able, within our budget, to create a beautiful backyard that will keep us enjoying our home for years to come.

Outstanding experience with Dan Plank. Gave us everything we wanted and on budget. The pictures speak for themselves. The team finished the job in three weeks and were great to work with.

Our backyard was TRANSFORMED into an amazing oasis by Dan and his team. I am so impressed I can't stop looking out there and admiring our yard. Dan was easy to work with, the workers arrived on time every day and were polite and open to my ideas. I had no idea how huge our extended patio would feel once we got travertine down. Our space looks wonderful and I cannot wait for phase 2!

I found Dan at Diamond Cut Landscaping at the Home Show. Of all the landscapers I talked to he seemed to best understand my vision for my yard. Everything was seamless and they were great to work with. The workers were efficient and Mike, the project manager, was on site at least daily, sometimes twice. He was professional and worked with me to ensure every detail met with my approval. The final outcome was gorgeous.

patio to water feature mid-range shot - The image shows an outdoor landscaped area at night, with illuminated lighting highlighting a water feature and plants. Stepping stones are arranged on a grassy section, and a fountain with a glowing element is visible in the background. The scene includes a stone or concrete patio surface, with lighting creating shadows and emphasizing the design elements.

I did a google search and came upon DiamondCut Landscaping. Their work shown on their website seemed to suggest quality work, but more importantly, they would have a designer who would be able to take my sketch of what I generally knew we wanted but be able to guide me as we tweaked it to the best it could be, given the relatively small backyard footprint. Our house is new construction, and only the front yard would have landscaping from the builder-we chose desert landscaping. So, I called for the Free consult with Dan, the designer (owner too, I believe). He was very attentive, asked a lot of questions as to how long we planned on being here, which would impact materials we select. We wanted a water feature of some sort, some artificial grass, irrigation into the back for plants and a large extension of out patio slab into a much bigger patio with a firepit - gas stub was to be used for underground gas supply - it was a cut above a general backyard landscaping job and I wanted quality work. I showed him my sketch and he helped me tweak the design from some of his suggestions which I, and my wife and daughter liked. I decided to get the 3D design video so that we could really see how it'd look. We all loved the design choices, we approved the contract. They started about a month after we signed - had to wait for HOA approval (they provided 2D design with measurements and materials list for HOA approval). It took 2 weeks, 5 days a week - the workers arrived early each day and worked 8 hrs. minimum each day. We were very happy with the result, and would recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping help, or ideas!

After searching relentlessly for a landscaper near my home in Glendale AZ, I stumbled across Diamond Cut just through simple Google searches. I have had the pleasure of working with Dan (who I believe is one of the owners). Dan was extremely patient and kind as we are new homeowners needing a COMPLETE makeover of our backyard (see photo). Dan listened intently to our vision and needs and drew up a plan for us. Three weeks later, the crew came to start the work and they completed the project in three days!!! It was amazing to see the transformation. We had grass put in, an extension of our patio and an entire underground (PVC pipe) irrigation put in. We LOVE it! The crew was very efficient and very kind. I will continue to work with this landscaping company for as long as I live in this home. HIGHLY recommend this crew!!!

The worker showed up with one tool... a pick axe, that's it. Literally no other tools. I don't even know where to begin. Please see a couple of pictures showing some of the things they did and left. We have 3 separate dedicated lines and were having them put in a 4th dedicated line as well - For pots, plants, trees, and citrus trees. We were very clear on that and walked through the property and talked about it several times. We ended up with pots on 2 different lines, trees on 2 different lines, plants spread out amongst the lines etc. Plants that didn't have any water to them. He didn't pull the old system as he was supposed to. He just cut the lines and buried them back under the dirt. Did not CAP the old lines so when the water turned on, they were still hooked up and we had massive leaks. He put a 1/2 gallon an hour sprinkler head (just 1) on a mature palm tree which is now half dead. He didn't always use the right heads for the different types of trees/shrubs/pots or even the right number of heads needed for trees. I could go on and on, but I've never seen such shody work in my life. He used our hose to "water jet" the dirt out from under our cobblestone sidewalk up to our front door to run a line, yet there was a sleeve ALREADY there that he could have used and didn't. When he sprayed the dirt out, he didn't replace dirt and just left the open space under our cobblestones which then started to cave in. One now has a chip out of it. My husband called the owner who was supposed to come out and see the mess but he was on "vacation" over the Christmas holidays for a week. We haven't heard back from him since and we are 1 week into February. We've since hired another company (The Water Boy Irrigation Solutions in Phoenix) who was amazing, they came out and had to completely rip out Rainmakers shody work and replaced our system the right way. Now it actually works and everything is on the right lines, oh and we have no leaks now. I, seriously, am just beyond shocked how bad this work was.
