After more than a 2.5 decades of living with chronic pain from an occupational injury that has…read moreprogressed far beyond a simple sprain, I discoverd Century Massage now becoming the place I trust most for relief. My condition has developed into a serious inflammatory diease issue -- not arthritis -- and there are days when my body feels locked in pain. Yet every visit helps unlock that immobility so I'm not dependent on a cane all day. My loyalty to Century Massage comes from the consistent care I receive from Lyn, Gwen, and Rob. Each of them brings a different technique that eases pain I cannot manage alone. They even take the time to teach me at‑home exercises that help me get through the day. When my pain became nearly unbearable, Lyn introduced me to red‑light therapy, and it made a real difference. Their dedication, skill, and compassion are why I keep coming back. - helps me feel human again.

I typically do not write reviews, but after being a loyal client of this business for approximately…read moretwo years, I feel compelled to document my recent experience for anyone considering becoming a client. My concern is not with the massage services themselves, but with the conduct and business decisions of one of the owners. I was extremely uncomfortable when the owner chose to involve me, as a client, in deeply personal issues and conflict involving her spouse and business partner. I was told personal details about their relationship, the business separation, and her intentions regarding the other owner. None of this was appropriate or relevant to me as a client, and I should never have been placed in the middle of an internal dispute. What concerned me most was the apparent inability to separate personal emotions from professional responsibilities. Whatever issues may exist between two spouses are personal matters. Once those issues begin influencing business decisions, staffing, client relationships, scheduling, and the overall client experience, it becomes a business concern. As a longtime client, I was particularly disappointed by the lack of transparency surrounding the changes that followed. A massage therapist I had regularly seen was suddenly removed from the schedule and replaced, without what I felt was appropriate communication to the clients who had established ongoing relationships with her. Clients should not have to discover major changes to their provider through the schedule or simply show up and realize that things have changed. I also found it troubling that personal conflict appeared to extend into the business's public-facing social media. As a client, I should not be exposed to indirect public commentary or personal disputes between business owners. It creates an uncomfortable and unprofessional environment and makes clients question whether business decisions are being made objectively. This experience has been especially disappointing because I genuinely valued this business and had been a loyal client for years. I believe business owners have a responsibility to protect the client experience even when personal circumstances are difficult. Personal disagreements should not become the client's burden, and business decisions should be based on professionalism, communication, and what is best for the business and its clients--not personal emotions or retaliation. I am sharing this because prospective clients deserve to know that the quality of a business is influenced by more than the service being provided. Leadership, professionalism, communication, and the ability to handle internal conflict appropriately matter too. I sincerely hope the owner chooses to separate personal matters from business operations moving forward, because the clients should not be the ones caught in the middle. After two years of loyalty and referrals, it is genuinely disappointing to see a business I once spoke so highly of reach this point.

I got a gift certificate from winning a game to come here, so I decided to give it another chance…read more But it was the exact same. The ladies kept trying to push extra services on me and wouldn't disclose the additional pricing. And when I went up to the front, I had scanned the venmo code and put in a 15% tip, ready to pay as long as they didn't pressure me again like last time.... but then they did, so i immediately lowered it before sending it. And then she stopped me and asked me about the amount, I told her I paid and still tipped, and she wouldn't let me leave for 5 minutes until finally telling me I was fine to go. Good massage, but absolutely awful customer service. I would never recommend going here to anyone.

Happy to add another gem for a good firm Chinese massage place on my list! Received a much needed…read moregift certificate from Mother's Day and being a fan of Chinese massages, I was really looking forward to some healing. Ladies seem very nice and know what they are doing. Location is very clean, both in the main foot massage area and in the private back massage rooms. Love the relaxing Chinese music playing in the background. They will ask what type of massage you want to opt for (Swedish, Deep tissue or Regular Combo massage) and they routinely check on you throughout the experience if you are doing ok. *Highly suggest doing the Combo Massage Oil (not clothing on option) 30 min feet and 60 min body massage. You will first get a very thorough foot massage that your feet will be so thankful for and then they will walk you over to a private room and instruct you before they step out, to take your top and bottoms off to hang on the hooks. (keep your undies on though) Lay on the massage bed face down and they will come in and start the massage. The older Asian lady was so good and you can tell she really puts in a lot of effort. I did wish they had a bit more time and focused on my neck/shoulder area since I have a lot of tension there (they do it once they make you flip over to your front after massaging your back) Maybe I'll try to see if a deep tissue one on that area will work best. *If you opt for clothes off oil massage, just FYI there is a part where she will massage your much used glutes (butt muscles) to ease the muscle tension. So just don't be surprised once they do that. It was very methodical and you will feel such a big difference once you get up. They do such a good job on focusing on the lower back as well, I almost cried from the relief it released. Lol. Opt for the $10 Hot Stone addition- you can thank me later. *I suggest showing up a few min early than the time you had scheduled, because getting prepped can eat up the time. I walked in right at 11, then got walked to the food massage couch and had to wait for almost 5 min to have the water etc. ready. *minus one star for the inconsistent price. They gave the flyer on Saturday with the gift certificate for info. It says $79.99 for the 90 min combo but in the store on Tuesday their menu says $90. Make sure you inquire about the pricing and mention the flyer and price to them prior to booking on the phone to get some clarity. Jun Yi Massage (Renton) and This place are my two favorites in the area for Chinese massages (women masseuse). Jun Yi does a good job on the front body massage and equal to foot massage. This place however wins hands down on its oil back massages. Definitely will recommend and will come back again!
