It is always a busy place. There are few rooms in the restaurant to try to accommodate the large population of people who wants a good burger. They are a bit pricey but worth it. Especially if u come in during hour for drinks. I got one of the cheaper burgers since i was low on money but has smokes gouda on it to make it even more awesome. The meat was juicy and neither raw or burnt. It was perfect for a burger. I am definitely coming here again when I am having a burger crave. Arhur's is a great late night option. We had just left a terribly disappointing meal somewhere else and needed something to supplement it. Cheese fries and a brownie at Arthur's hit the spot. On a beautiful late November Sunday afternoon my daughter and I stopped at Arthur's specifically for a burger, before heading off to the show. Upon entering the restaurant, which was about 60% full, the hostess asked if we would like to be seated inside, or if we wished to be seated outside on the back patio. As this may turn out to be the last opportunity before next spring to do so, we opted for the patio. Our server, Cat, was extremely pleasant and welcoming from the start. We told her we were there because Arthur's is on all of the Cincinnati "Top 10 Burger" lists, and that we were going to be hitting them all. Upon hearing this she sat at a chair at an empty table next to us and asked where we had been, and what we had thought of the others food and service. She seemed genuinely interested in how Arthur's fared against the others. As it was Sunday, "Burger Madness" was in effect, and so that's what we had. Burger Madness apparently happens on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and for a reduced price, you get your choice of a Beef (the "Arthur's Burger"), Turkey or Spicy Black Bean burger (with lettuce, tomato and pickles), and can pick up to six additional toppings. My daughter and I ordered our burgers medium rare, and topped with Swiss cheese, banana peppers and grilled onions. In addition to these toppings, I also asked for bacon on mine. The wait was fairly short, and the burgers came out looking perfect. The cheese was nicely melted, the grilled onions were perfect, and the bacon was crispy. The bun was soft, almost a Kaiser roll as it was so tall. My daughter's first bite brought the unsolicited comment of "Oh my God, this is amazing". I had to agree. The burger was obviously hand patted, not overworked, not preformed, and cooked medium rare as ordered. The burger was juicy and well seasoned. The Lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. The fries that accompanied the burgers were nicely done, but they were not of the super "crispy" variety. The last part of the equation was the service. The whole group was attentive, and worked seamless as a team. Seated by one, ordered from another, food delivered by a third, drink refills from Cat and others, and the check taken by one more. Before we left, Cat asked about how their burger compared to the burgers we had already experienced. I honestly replied that they were up near the top of the list, and Cat seemed genuinely pleased. We thought the food was great, as was the service. I found the price was very good for an upscale burger on a "Burger Madness" day. Overall, a great experience, and two big "Thumbs up". read more

I am bumping Arthur's up to 4 stars for two reason. The first is the sweet potato fries with curry sauce. WOW, they were excellent. Second, the last I was there, the waitress was super nice about the fact that we just say in the booth for a couple of hours and drank beers and ate sweet potato fries. Although their burger is not the best, it is certainly a good burger. And the price for the burger madness is pretty reasonable. I also like the toppings and cheeses I get to choose. They have an extensive list for crafted beers which I like about. The service was also great. I did not get his name, but he was super friendly and helpful. Oh, their black bean burger was really great although I'm very far from being a vegeterian. I took a bite from my girlfreind's burger, and I thought it was very tasty. I do not have much complaint about the decor either. It is cozy enough and has this local feel. I have a feeling that Arthur's will be my frequent stop when I am around near Hyde Park. I have been to Arthur's probably half a dozen times. There are so many good things to say about it, but I draw the line very distinctly between 4 and 5 stars. Arthur's is damn close to five... First of all, in the summer, they have a really fabulous patio out back. The seating is great and the atmosphere is lovely. Wonderful place for a late spring happy hour. That brings us to thing two: the excellent beer list. Oh, my. Really good beer, decent pricing, and friendly wait staff who know what they're talking about when it comes to beer. Thirdly, Arthur's non-burger foods are really excellent. I must confess that the buffalo chicken salad was not up to my standards....but I'm a buffalo chicken salad connoisseur. (You will see this as a running theme in my reviews). BUT, the fresh, in-season salads (spinach and berries, etc) are unbeatable. Fourthly, the burgers. Oh, my, the burgers. Arthur's is known for its burger--voted best of Cincinnati, I believe, and rightly so. First of all, Sunday-Tuesday (I think) is Burger Madness: $7 burgers with unlimited toppings (except you have to limit your servings of cheese to six...what??). I have had several burger madness burgers--some with bacon or jalapenos, some with sauteed onions or peppers, some with chili, some with boursin cheese...it's all delicious. And, most recently, they've changed their veggie burger patty. I don't know about you, but I've found the veggie burgers at other classic Cincy burger joints (Gordo's, Oakley Pub & Grille), severely lacking--dry, crumbly, ick. The Arthur's veggie burger is my favorite: a spicy black bean burger. Yes, it's very mushy. And yes, the burgers in general are sloppy because of the loaded on toppings...but they're delicious, and I highly recommend them. Some reviewers have complained about the parking. There's a very cheap municipal lot half a block from Arthur's, and while the street parking might have you hunting for 5-10 mins, it's well worth it. read more

Arthur's is okay -- been several times and have had a normal cheeseburger and also their Black and Bleu burger -- but it is not as delicious as many of the other great burger establishments in cincy. Love burger madness here! It is hard to beet a burger with any toppings ($0.50 and $1.00 ones) and fries for $7.99 on Sunday/Monday/Tuesdays. The burgers taste great and cooked well. If you don't want a burger their dinner salads are some of the best I have had in the area- they are large and everything is fresh. I went here during the weekend and will definitely be going back. Their french fries were yummy. I wish they didn't charge extra for cheese and other toppings, but nothing you can do about that. The staff is really good about refilling your water too! The ambiance is really neat, with an awesome outdoor patio. The parking is mostly street parking or a parking lot next door, which you pay a minimum of $2 for. The inside seating area is a bit small, but go when it's nice outside and you can sit on the patio! I have tried their turkey burger two times now. The first time I thought it was delicious, but the second time it was so rubbery and tasted like they microwaved some processed gross turkey patty. I am hoping that was a fluke because in theory I like this place, especially Burger Madness. I had a really good experience the first time, but had to go down to three stars because of the poor quality of my turkey burger the second time. I couldn't even finish it because it was so rubbery. This isn't the kind of review I like to do but I must. I went here a couple months back and had a terrible experience. My girlfriend and I called and ordered two burgers for carry out. I remember I got some mushroom and pepper burger (can't remember the name). We wait like 10-15 min to head over there (my girlfriend lives like 5 min away from Arthur's). I go in to pick it up and I could tell something wasn't right. After talking to a few employees, the bartender comes up to me and says that they forgot to send the order to the kitchen. So they didn't even start the order by the time I got there. I call and tell my girlfriend (who is waiting in the car) that it's going to be another 15+ min because they didn't start my order and she wasn't happy either. I tell the employee that it's alright and I'll wait at the bar for the food. The manager comes up to me and says she's sorry for the situation and that they will give me the food for free. I really appreciated that. So I finally get the food and head back to my girlfriend's house to eat. I open my box in complete disappointment. My burger was totally plain, besides tomato and lettuce. No cheese, no sauce, no mushrooms and no peppers. Just meat and veggies. I couldn't believe it. I think that the employees were so concerned by getting my food to me as soon as possible that they forgot to garnish it with the appropriate toppings. Side note, the burger itself was very good. I enjoyed it as much as I could even though I was very disappointed in the whole experience. And it was my first time there by the way. I didn't even bother calling them and telling them they messed up my burger. I just chalked the whole experience up as a loss. I've wanted to go back and try their burgers again but I haven't. Arthur's is one of the oldest bars in Cincinnati. The best time to go to Arthur's is for burger madness, which runs from Sunday to Tuesday night. You can get a beef, turkey, or veggie burger with as many toppings as you wish and french fries for six dollars. Be sure to go early in the evening because otherwise you will wait a good half hour for a table, as this is a very popular spot. The best seat in the house is any where on the patio outback. The patio is lit with old gaslights and white Christmas lights. Arthur's is also great for beer. They serve a great Guinness! read more

Decent burger and fries. I enjoy the quality toppings and nice choices. For example, when I order avocado on my burger, it's fresh, and it's more than a couple of small slivers... it's like half an avocado! Also, their fresh poblano chili relish and chipotle mayonnaise are delicious. read more

The atmosphere is fun (just try to hang out in the first room and not be entertained by all the cartoon-y pictures on the wall), the service is friendly, and the food is great! They have a wonderful beer selection, and the server we had was very knowledgeable and able to make some helpful suggestions. Of course, burgers here are a MUST!! If it's Burger Madness time, that's definitely the way to go - who doesn't enjoy creating their own burger with fun, unique toppings?! If it's not Burger Madness time, I enjoy the Boursin Cheese Burger, but they are all delicious. The burgers are also huge and very messy - in my opinion, one of the best ways to gauge whether or not a burger is any good is to take a look at its messiness - the messier the better! I've been living in the neighborhood for nearly a year--I can't believe it's taken me this long to figure out how wonderful Arthur's is. This is a classic neighborhood joint. It has a comfortable and well-stocked bar, but also works as a family place. The burgers here are really good, and I believe they have the best french fries in the city. Very nice out door back patio that is private and chill. good beer and atmosphere. On burger night, you get everything on your burger( blue cheese, bacon, chili, pepper, whatever) for 7 buck. You can also get pitcher beer like blue moon of anything on tap. it is only walking distance from hydepark square and my house lol! A must stop for a unique Cincinnati landmark bar and grill. It's one of the better burger joints in town, that being said, don't waist your time on anything else on the menu. You go to Arthur's for their burgers period. Arthur's is an institution here in Cinci! They have great burgers! But beware they are really big so bring your appetite. I think I had the smaller burger they offer with cheddar and bacon, it was delicious!
