It was 30 minutes 1:1 instruction where I was taught the very basics of some forms of dance. I have zero experience and the lesson was v enjoyable and fun. I've signed up for more sessions and they didn't explain or detail that they have an introductory offer https://www.fredastaire.com/wayne/introductory-offer/ but regardless I don't mind spending so I'll keep it rated highly for now. Hoping the future sessions and interactions are as enjoyable as the first one and will update this

He's quite friendly and we talked about Ballroom dancing, and I even got a Free lesson with one of his students! I truly love the Collegeville Fred Astaire studio, its teachers, and I look forward to going to their fun "dance parties", where I can dance all night long! (And, no I don't need a "dance partner". I just dance with anyone and it's a real blast! You can show up by yourself.) And, after talking with Roman, he started having Swing dances that I run, so it doubles the fun! I'm saying that as a 25+ year dancer... Roman and his Collegeville Ballroom have the BEST lessons and the best VALUE for you, too. Totally recommended!

I have lost 30lbs on my weight loss journey and Purenergy has been a huge part of that! For less than the cost of that massive gym in King of Prussia and way more variety than the "Citrus Concept" down the street, you can enjoy similar class offerings, free babysitting 8:30a-12pm Monday to Friday, and twice the ambiance! I find myself in Yoga a few days a week - the studio is beautiful and the mild heat is welcome in these bitterly cold winter months! I recommend Kristy's Wall class for a great deep stretch and Sarah's Power Flow for the ultimate mind/body stress relief! As part of my New Years Resolution, I am trying more of the fitness classes here, and thus far have taken Lisa's Tabata and Michelle's Burn class - both high-intensity interval training guaranteed to ramp up your energy! You'll also find pilates, barre, aerial, spinning, and martial arts classes here - ensuring you'll never get stuck in a rut! I'd personally love to see more Pilates or core based classes in the evening, but realize that has everything to do with instructor availability and member interest! :) Beyond the class offerings at Purenergy you'll find a welcoming atmosphere, clean locker rooms, and fresh towels for the sweat you're guaranteed to break! Drop in for a class - you'll be a member before you know it!

It was well worth the cost for me! The main con I had was that the women's locker room was disgusting. The moment you walked in, you could immediately smell the urine. It was awful, I would hold my breath every time. The showers were also gross and had very weak water pressure. The entire 2 months of my swim classes, the machine to dry your swimsuit was broken until the very last day of my class it worked again.

They have a gym, swimming pool with swimming lessons etc. They have ample.parking, and you will find parking unless there is an event like a national tournament. You do need to pay membership to use the facility, but I think it is valuable. They keep the facilities clean, and the programs are with quality and provide limited value to everyone. At the entrance, you will be checked in and use the facility. Over all its a decent facility.l but it's a little expensive to use indoor courts!!!

Ashley, Betsy's daughter-in-law, frequently cancelled both group and private lessons without making them up, even though we paid for them in full. My daughter participated in singing and dance, and Ashley cancelled numerous lessons that were never rescheduled or refunded. The cost was excessive for the quality and reliability of instruction we actually received. The situation worsened when I notified the company that we would be moving. In the months that followed, my daughter was treated unfairly. She was yelled at and embarrassed during class, not included in the same way as the other students, and clearly singled out. At the end of the season, I asked that the check for our recital tickets not be cashed since my family would not be attending. Ashley and Betsy agreed at the time, but then cashed the check anyway. When I followed up, she promised to issue a refund but never did. In addition, we were required to purchase thousands of dollars' worth of costumes that we will never use, including a $300 dress that my daughter wore for a total of 15 minutes. The overall experience felt dishonest, exploitative, and deeply unprofessional.

From the get go, I felt very uneasy to hand over my 4 year old and have a door locked and have no clue where she is taken to and what is happening to her. No video feed, no window viewing...nothing...Just hope for the best. Facility is attached to a church with possible inner access to dance studios, which also not something I was keen on. Then my 4 year old told me she fell in class and it still hurt. They never said a word about it, and when I made inquiry they brushed it off as it was nothing. They made an effort and posted 1 (ONE!) class on a zoom link recently. During zoom broadcast I saw my daughter being placed right next to some metal tripping hazards and another girl placed pretty close to her. Teacher instructed them to skip sideways, thus girl next to my daughter was crowding out my child into the danger zone. Teacher never even noticed, let alone take remedial measures. They also emailed me my child was not following their strict dress code. I replied we did everything by the book and inquired to point out what we did wrong. They never answered my question and informed me that they un-enrolled us and won't charge next month's tuition. Verdict: Waste of money and energy and added anxiety. My child did enjoy the dancing portion (hence the 2 stars instead of 1), but she did not enjoy getting hurt, nor waiting outside in frigid cold weather while they "get ready" to let them in. (4 minutes before class would start was too early to show up!)..and child must be in tights, thus when coat is not covering legs...it's brutal cold. Not what I had in mind for a 4-5 year old.) I like accountable and courteous. This place was neither. My child deserves better.

First of all, this business has since moved to West Chester…read more The new location is a renovated warehouse, and is difficult to find because one would not really believe that a dance studio could be there. However, the inside facilities are gorgeous. Although, they are still working out the kinks as the air conditioning went out several times throughout the night. I am very sad to give this place a poor review, as it is one of the closest places to where I live to dance. However, this is just a poor place to go to dance. The night I went there, there were very few people there, and almost no single people. Fortunately, I brought a few single friends with me because I was afraid this would be the case. Most of the singles there were women, some of whom did not dance much all night. The couples only danced and spoke with each other; it was very cliquish. Never thought I would use that word to describe an experience past high school age. Even the teachers did not dance much with the singles, perhaps that was because 2 of the 3 were women, however, I still think it is a shame. I appreciate it when the teachers ask new members to dance and draw them into the dance community. The quality of instruction was also poor. Some of the steps were taught incorrectly, and the instructor was not always clear in the way material was presented. The instructor did not seem to dance with proper technique; perhaps they were not trying in a social setting, but nonetheless this was my observation. The music was also dated, and not to my liking. I tried to request a song, and was told everything was prerecorded, so that would not be an option. To end on a positive note, the food that was served was homemade and very good. I was told one of the instructors made it. At least that made the non-dancing portion of my night bearable.

I could see some of the absolute beginners being left behind though, and it was a little slow for my preferences- but they did well with a wide variety of experience. There are definitely very few single people there (at least when I went) so I felt bad for people who didn't have a partner. Their private instruction is also decent. You get a whole hour to yourself to learn what you need to learn, but it will be ... partly what the instructors want to teach you. I won't go into detail, but there was an incident of their instructor undoing what I had spent a good amount of time teaching someone (I wasn't wrong, it was just different - and different for a specific reason). I was very displeased with that, but also understand that the instructors thought they were doing my "student" a favor. Their social dance parties are fun - again, if you have a partner. I went with a few girlfriends and was only asked to dance once or twice. Most people danced around the floor with the same partners all night. But it was still a good time and I've been back.
