Saw our first production here recently and enjoyed it very much…read more We are pleased with the play selection, which is not pop-influenced, nor the done-to-death titles, etc. something more unusual, but quality just the same. We also recognized two of the actors from other local plays, and enjoyed seeing them in new and different roles. The theater itself is in an old church, which we learned was purchased by the Footlighters group. For us, we love theaters like this, where things are quirky and the focus goes to the production, not the sets or venue. For the benefit of others, I'll describe it a bit more since I know that is helpful to some people. Much of the original interior/exterior architectural features of the church remain intact which is cool to see, although the interior and exterior are in need of a little maintenance, which, clearly, they would probably do if they had the funding. One important safety item was outdoor lighting, especially when patrons are leaving to go to the unlit parking lot in the dark. The entrance is in the front of the building on Main St but the parking lot is off of Waterloo Ave in back, so it is a bit of a journey in the dark to get from A to B. We wrote to the theater about this and even offered to help install a light but never heard back. I am hopeful that word gets out about this place because it is an untapped venue, which many locals would probably love to frequent and enjoy! We live very nearby, just over the county line in Newtown Square, but ironically, after living here almost a decade, we only recently discovered this theater. One night, on our way home from Handel's, I happened to see the small signs for Footlighters, that were along Waterloo Ave. I looked them up when we got home. I never would have know about them otherwise. We use Funsavers all the time, and I have never seen Footlighters in there. I think they'd get tons more exposure if they occasionally advertised there. I know we would have found them MUCH sooner if they had. Just wish they could reach out to more people in our community to get the funding for more great shows and a little maintenance on the building to make it more hospitable (and keep the old charm of the place going strong). NOTE: Not sure why the Yelp category for this theater showed as "Cinema: but that is incorrect and should be changed since this if for live theater (play) performances.

He's quite friendly and we talked about Ballroom dancing, and I even got a Free lesson with one of his students! I truly love the Collegeville Fred Astaire studio, its teachers, and I look forward to going to their fun "dance parties", where I can dance all night long! (And, no I don't need a "dance partner". I just dance with anyone and it's a real blast! You can show up by yourself.) And, after talking with Roman, he started having Swing dances that I run, so it doubles the fun! I'm saying that as a 25+ year dancer... Roman and his Collegeville Ballroom have the BEST lessons and the best VALUE for you, too. Totally recommended!

Ashley, Betsy's daughter-in-law, frequently cancelled both group and private lessons without making them up, even though we paid for them in full. My daughter participated in singing and dance, and Ashley cancelled numerous lessons that were never rescheduled or refunded. The cost was excessive for the quality and reliability of instruction we actually received. The situation worsened when I notified the company that we would be moving. In the months that followed, my daughter was treated unfairly. She was yelled at and embarrassed during class, not included in the same way as the other students, and clearly singled out. At the end of the season, I asked that the check for our recital tickets not be cashed since my family would not be attending. Ashley and Betsy agreed at the time, but then cashed the check anyway. When I followed up, she promised to issue a refund but never did. In addition, we were required to purchase thousands of dollars' worth of costumes that we will never use, including a $300 dress that my daughter wore for a total of 15 minutes. The overall experience felt dishonest, exploitative, and deeply unprofessional.

They also do beautiful work on guitars. I've had five different guitars worked on there. Most recently, I had the telecaster in the photo worked on. Before coming to…read moreBerwyn I looked at 17 alternatives and sat in the classrooms of all of them for an extended period prior to selecting Berwyn Montessori. My experience is that Mrs. Shultz is the ultimate caregiver and her team are exceptional. They taught my children how to approach life, how to learn, and always ensured their safety. My first child had ADHD challenges and was dyslexic and brilliant (145 IQ), my second child was legally blind. Both are doing incredible in school and life due to Berwyn. They learned math, reading, writing, social studies, biology, and cursive, and advanced in social skills and manners beyond their peers. Each did better throughout grade school because of the foundation this institution provided. I can truly say neither child would be as successful as they are today without the care and guidance she provided. They celebrate and respect the cultural differences between families (mine is Hispanic) and learn the customs of Chinese New Year, Divalli and Yom Kippur. My 16-year-old still reaches out to her for direction and advice. My 11-year-old still asks to go to her summer camp over other potentially more exciting camp options. The children design and pick their graduation performances (speeches, songs, and dances) themselves and learn to speak in front of others and express their individuality and their views. They make their own pinatas and cakes for all of the parties. We have attended every graduation since 2009 except one and all were safe, fun, family activities. Mrs. Schultz has always put our family first, has never shown any political bias to our kids, and brings the kind of experience of child development that you cannot find in any of the big-box institutions. Her safety so far exceeds the standard and your child will be a well-behaved, self-aware, deeply educated member of our society. You will not find this elsewhere.
