I initially spoke with Flaco over the phone to arrange a dance appointment for my partner and I who were supposed to be married this June. He told me to Venmo him payment for the class ($125) so I did. The worst then happened -- I was suddenly hospitalized and given a Leukemia cancer diagnosis. I wish I was making this up, but when I emailed Flaco for a refund as it was impossible due to a medical emergency for me to attend, he told me I had until March 31, 2022 to use it. I cancelled on Feb. 11 for our Feb. 19, 2022 appointment, what I thought was plenty of notice. I never received ANYTHING verbally or written about their cancellation policy. Of course attending a dance class prior to March 31 was impossible for me because I have a long road ahead, I don't know what the future holds, and I also could just use the money  now that I'm facing a lot of medical bills. I then wrote back deciding to elaborate on my mentioned medical emergency and disclosed my Leukemia cancer diagnosis, sure that would be enough to receive a refund. I was shocked when he didn't reply to my email at all after I mentioned having leukemia, so I called him to discuss. I spoke to him briefly on the phone where he said he was still "debating this with his business partner," and proceeded to hang up on me when I asked him to do the right thing. All I want was a refund, but especially for him to do the RIGHT THING. I then receive an email (see images) where he mentions my "abrupt cancellation" (remember, I gave a week's notice and had NO idea there was a cancellation policy to begin with because Flaco never told me) and that his priority is his teachers. Please note that it was FLACO who was to be our dance instructor on Feb. 19, NOT one of his dance instructors. PLEASE have a heart, Flaco, and refund me for the class. It's beyond classless how you have treated another human being. Why is it so hard to do the right thing?

I felt dismissed, spoken to in a condescending manner, and there was little empathy or professionalism when I raised a concern. It was clear that respectful communication with parents was not a priority. Another concern was seeing counselors on their cell phones during pickup instead of actively supervising the children. As a parent, it was unsettling to see staff distracted rather than focused on the kids in their care. Good customer service and child supervision should be fundamental expectations for any camp. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling disrespected and without confidence in the level of care being provided. I hope the center takes this feedback seriously and improves both its customer service and staff professionalism.

I enrolled my 6 year-old daughter in the spring break dance & gymnastics camp- only did 2 days so far and I've already decided we won't be back. For starters, there was no communication. When I still hadn't heard anything 1 day prior to camp start about what to bring or pack with regards to snacks/lunch, what to wear, how pickup/dropoff works, etc., I finally just emailed them to ask (and got a marginally helpful- and not very friendly- response in return like I was inconveniencing them by asking). The front desk staff weren't particularly friendly in person either. Also the "coaches" (or whatever you call them) just seemed like a bunch of tired, uninterested teenagers there for a seasonal job. Lots of piercings and tats-- not the picture of professionalism. Not sure who has the expertise here, but this certainly wasn't on display in spring break camp, so not sure why I would pay money to enroll my daughter here on a regular basis during the year. I didn't get the sense that my daughter was doing anything structured here outside of "free play", and the place just seems to be lacking structure/organization in general. We'll find somewhere else.

The school is like a big family, with older students having opportunities to student teach and lead the younger ones. I've found the costumes and music to be age appropriate (quite different from some of the attire and song choices I've seen from other dance schools at competitions). Highly recommend!

She student teaches and loves seeing the younger girls as they get older and has been such a positive experience for her. During the pandemic dance kept her sane and we wouldn't of survived without BBSD. Now my granddaughter dances there as well and she can't wait for Sept to start. Miss Angie is the best as well as all the teachers.

The classes are a trip as there could be anyone from a totally brand new beginner, with no experience whatsoever, to those of us who in our brains think we can still dance like we did when we were younger, but then are faced with the reality of our bodies not exactly moving the way they do in our minds :) Our instructor Karen accommodates all of those circumstances and there is an adult intermediate class to advance to if the beginner class ever gets too easy (HA!)

We had my son's sixth birthday party here this past weekend and it was an amazing party. After the…read moreparty was over many parents emailed and called us saying that their kids were raving that it wasthe best party they had ever been to! Multiple parents said this! Tony, the party coordinator, was amazing and didn't leave any stone unturned! He had great ideas on decorating the room and allowed us to bring in some of our own food and decorations. The kids played in the fantasy fun zone for a while and played games inside the dance studio. Awesome party! Would 100% have it there again!
