I initially spoke with Flaco over the phone to arrange a dance appointment for my partner and I who were supposed to be married this June. He told me to Venmo him payment for the class ($125) so I did. The worst then happened -- I was suddenly hospitalized and given a Leukemia cancer diagnosis. I wish I was making this up, but when I emailed Flaco for a refund as it was impossible due to a medical emergency for me to attend, he told me I had until March 31, 2022 to use it. I cancelled on Feb. 11 for our Feb. 19, 2022 appointment, what I thought was plenty of notice. I never received ANYTHING verbally or written about their cancellation policy. Of course attending a dance class prior to March 31 was impossible for me because I have a long road ahead, I don't know what the future holds, and I also could just use the money  now that I'm facing a lot of medical bills. I then wrote back deciding to elaborate on my mentioned medical emergency and disclosed my Leukemia cancer diagnosis, sure that would be enough to receive a refund. I was shocked when he didn't reply to my email at all after I mentioned having leukemia, so I called him to discuss. I spoke to him briefly on the phone where he said he was still "debating this with his business partner," and proceeded to hang up on me when I asked him to do the right thing. All I want was a refund, but especially for him to do the RIGHT THING. I then receive an email (see images) where he mentions my "abrupt cancellation" (remember, I gave a week's notice and had NO idea there was a cancellation policy to begin with because Flaco never told me) and that his priority is his teachers. Please note that it was FLACO who was to be our dance instructor on Feb. 19, NOT one of his dance instructors. PLEASE have a heart, Flaco, and refund me for the class. It's beyond classless how you have treated another human being. Why is it so hard to do the right thing?

While there is a competitive dance team that students can audition for, the week-to-week class focus is on learning and dancing. We've tried other schools in the past and I usually end up feeling like the kids spend the whole year planning for a huge, expensive, loooong recital. Here, the year ends with a dance showcase that is warm and friendly and reasonably priced to attend and to participate in (no expensive costumes that your kids will only wear once). Colleen is an amazingly talented, patient, and enthusiastic teacher. Tony, the owner, is just a super great guy. The whole staff is very friendly and they seem to get along like a family. Tony, the party coordinator, was amazing and didn't leave any stone unturned! He had great ideas on decorating the room and allowed us to bring in some of our own food and decorations. But 2…read moreyears ago when I renewed the only way to pay was to put a credit card on file and after I tore my bicep it was quite an issue to cancel their reoccurring fee. When I was finally able to cancel it I still had to pay for another month that I was unable to even use.
